Connection to AS400 corrupts data

Hi!
Hope somebody can help me. I'm making a connection to my AS400, then I execute a statement which calls a stored procedure and creates and returns a Resultset, And it works great.
Then if i try to execute the same statement once again without ending the Connection, i can see on the AS400, that the Connection has corrupted some of the characters. I should mention that the statement is exactly the same both times.
Thank you in advance
Soren

The parameters that i put in the call are corrupted when the reach my program on the as400. The statement i'm trying to execute looks like this.
CALL MAWS02QA ('A', 'Œ', 'Œ')
The statement is exactly the same on both calls.
As you can see the last 2 fields are encrypted, and the 2nd time i execute the statement, some of the characters are replaced.

Please explain me why I am getting this error: java.sql.SQLException: No suitable driver found for jdbc:as400://host/database
Do we really able to connect to As400 through this driver? Please tell me if i am doing wrong configuration like Classpath and wrong jar usage and need some more jar... ?
This is very very urgent issue..pls reply me asap.

    Hi Vijaya,
Thanks for your quick reply. After I change my JDBC URL with  : instead of /  jdbc:as400://<hostname>:<Database>
I am able to run the page and getting the UI in browser. But I am not getting the Databindings ui like table/ form with data.

  • Numbers 2.1 when exported as an excel file and my application tries opening it, it says file contains corrupt data.

I recently updated my iPad to the latest iOS 7 and updated my numbers app to 2.1. When i export it to a excel file and then when my C# application(using gembox library) tries reading it, i would get an error "file contains corrupt data". before making the update to iOS 7 and before updating my numbers the process worked fine!

That didn't work for me and the page times out right about 5
minutes (300 seconds). I don't have timeout checked in the CF
Administrator so I don't think it is CF that is causing the
timeout. I checked IIS also and the timeout is set to 900 seconds.
Is there a possibility that SQL Server has some sort of
connection limit and I'm using too many cfquery tags? If anyone has
experienced a similar problem I would really appreciate the help,
    thanks.

  • XI Connectivity with AS400 and OS390

What is the recommendation when connecting to AS400 or OS390 systems to/from XI? I don’t think XI has a specific adapter for these applications.  I would assume it would be through the standard file adapter or the JMS adapter.
Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks.

    Hi KK,
i create and scenario R/3 <> (RFC)XI(JDBC)<>DB2. do you know how can i call a program on the DB2?

  • Oracle 11.2g (@Win2008 Srv R2) connection to AS400 problem

    Hi All,
After migration from 10g to 11g (11.2) and Windows 2003 Server to Windows 2008 R2
we cannot connect to AS400 database using Oracle HS.
I tried everything except suicide. Maybe you will help.
    What we did:
Created ODBC connections (DSN) in two versions:
    AS400_32 using 32 bit tool
    AS400_64 using 64 bit tool
the connections are copies of connection from another server where it works..
From EXCEL using AS400_32 (the other is not visible) we can connect to AS400 and get data...

  • Excel SSAS Tabular error: An error occurred during an attempt to establish a connection to the external data source

    Hello there,
I have an Excel report I created which works perfectly fine on my dev environment, but fails on my test environment when I try to do a data refresh.
The key difference between both dev and test environments is that in dev, everything is installed in one server:
    SharePoint 2013
SQL 2012: Database Instance, SSAS Instance, SSRS for SharePoint, SSAS POWERPIVOT instance (Powerpivot for SharePoint).
In my test and production environments, the architecture is different:
SQL DB Servers in High Availability (irrelevant for this report since it is connecting to the tabular model, just FYI)
SQL SSAS Tabular server (contains a tabular model that processes data from the SQL DBs).
2x SharePoint Application Servers (we installed both SSRS and PowerPivot for SharePoint on these servers)
2x SharePoint FrontEnd Servers (contain the SSRS and PowerPivot add-ins).
Now in dev, test and production, I can run PowerPivot reports that have been created in SharePoint without any issues. Those reports can access the SSAS Tabular model without any issues, and perform data refresh and OLAP functions (slicing, dicing, etc).
The problem is with Excel reports (i.e. .xlsx files) uploaded to SharePoint. While I can open them, I am having a hard time performing a data refresh. The error I get is:
"An error occurred during an attempt to establish a connection to the external data source [...]"
I ran SQL Profiler on my SSAS Server where the Tabular instance is and I noticed that every time I try to perform a data refresh, I get the following entries:
Every time I try to perform a data refresh, two entries under the user name ANONYMOUS LOGON.
Since things work without any issues on my single-server dev environment, I tried running SQL Server Profiler there as well to see what I get.
As you can see from the above, in the dev environment the query runs without any issues and the user name logged is in fact my username from the dev environment domain. I also have a separated user for the test domain, and another for the production domain.
Now upon some preliminary investigation I believe this has something to do with the data connection settings in Excel and the usage (or no usage) of secure store. This is what I can vouch for so far:
Library containing reports is configured as trusted in SharePoint Central Admin.
Library containing data connections is configured as trusted in SharePoint Central Admin.
The Data Provider referenced in the Excel report (MSOLAP.5) is configured as trusted in SharePoint Central Admin.
In the Excel report, the Excel Services authentication settings is set as "use authenticated user's account". This wortks fine in the DEV environment.
Concerning SecureStore, PowerPivot Configurator has configured it the PowerPivotUnnattendedAccount application ID in all the environments. There is
NO configuration of an Application ID for Excel Services in any of the environments (Dev, test or production). Altough I reckon this is where the solution lies, I am not 100% sure as to why it fails in test and prod. But as I read what I am
writing, I reckon this is because of the authentication "hops" through servers. Am I right in my assumption?
Could someone please advise what am I doing wrong in this case? If it is the fact that I am missing an Secure Store entry for Excel Services, I am wondering if someone could advise me on how to set ip up? My confusion is around the "Target Application
    Type" setting.
    Thank you for your time.
    Regards,
    P.

    Hi Rameshwar,
PowerPivot workbooks contain embedded data connections. To support workbook interaction through slicers and filters, Excel Services must be configured to allow external data access through embedded connection information. External data access is required
for retrieving PowerPivot data that is loaded on PowerPivot servers in the farm. Please refer to the steps below to solve this issue:
In Central Administration, in Application Management, click Manage service applications.
    Click Excel Services Application.
    Click Trusted File Location.
Click http:// or the location you want to configure.
In External Data, in Allow External Data, click Trusted data connection libraries and embedded.
    Click OK.
    For more information, please see:
Create a trusted location for PowerPivot sites in Central Administration:
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee637428.aspx
Another reason is Excel Services returns this error when you query PowerPivot data in an Excel workbook that is published to SharePoint, and the SharePoint environment does not have a PowerPivot for SharePoint server, or the SQL Server Analysis
Services (PowerPivot) service is stopped. Please check this document:
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff487858(v=sql.110).aspx
Finally, here is a good article regarding how to troubleshoot PowerPivot data refresh for your reference. Please see:
    Troubleshooting PowerPivot Data Refresh:

  • Unable to connect to SharePoint list data from PowerPivot in Excel

    Hi,
I have the PowerPivot excel add-in installed and I can connect successfully to SQL data.  I have two SharePoint farms - Farm 1 and Farm 2.
I am able to connect PowerPivot to SharePoint lists in multiple web applications in Farm 1 by using the ListData.svc.
    e.g. https://farm1/_vti_bin/ListData.svc/Tasks
In Farm 2 I am unable to connect to SharePoint data.  I have tried multiple web applications on Farm 2 and can't connect.  I receive the following error.  I am able to browse to the address in Internet Explorer and see a feed.

    Hi Millard1,
From your descripton, it seems you want to use SharePoint list as a data souce. If so, you should export the SharePoint as data feed in your SharePoint site, and then create a new PowerPivot table that contains the list. Here are some articles for your reference,
    please see:

  • Unable to Connect Oracle 7 with Data Services 3.2

    Hi All,
I am incredibly facing an issues with Oracle 7 connecting with Data Services 3.2. with Native client drivers (TNS Names).
The client legacy application is on Oracle 7, they are moving the data from legacy to SAP ECC. My role is to transfer the data from Oracle 7 to SAP ECC, We are using Data Services 3.2 for conversion. This Data Services 3.2 is not connecting with Oracle 7 by using oracle native drivers (TNS Names).
I am able to connect Oracle 8 client with SQL *Plus, but with Data Services its not connecting, I am able create Data Store but when try to import the table the error message I am getting like "ORA-24316: Illegal handle Type"
Is there any other solution for this to connect, or Is Data Services 3.2 will not connect to Oracle 7 since its older version.
Please reply with your thoughts, or with some solution.
Appreciate your prompt reply. Many thanks.

    Hi Paul,
Currently I am using ODBC connection to read the data from legacy Oracle7, but ODBC is very very slow, queries are taking hours to fetch the data. Is there any other solution by chance... I read that DataDirect is the one can connect to any versions of oracle and its bit faster, is that true. Please clarify me. If that is the solution where can I get this DataDirect drivers for oracle 7? Please advice me.
    Thank  You,
    Ashok

  • How to get rid of other/corrupt data?

My phone:  iPhone 4s, 16gb, newest IOS 8.1 (newest right now) / Newest iTunes on computer
Multiple times now under IOS 8, I've attempted to sync my phone (only music) and suddenly 9+ gb of `other` data appear when I plug in my phone, which then deletes nearly all my music (which takes up about 8gb).  The red circle and square appear and I cannot play any songs.
I`ve tried restoring to new, but I don`t want to lose all my texts/contacts/notes etc. so I always end up backing it up, only to get the same problem yet again.  This is the 4th time now and sometimes it ends up going away but this time it isn't and it has been weeks.
When I check my data usage under my settings it says I have little to no space available, yet when I look at the division of the data between apps, my music is the highest at 750mb (the 100ish of my favourite songs i was able to squeeze into the space available), so i assume there is some sort of corrupt data I am unaware of.
I've called apple help in the past which fixed the problem by playing with my itunes and icloud sign in settings.  It fixed the issue, only to have it return the next week when I synced it again.
Has anyone else had this problem?  If so, what did you do to make it go back to normal?
Also, is there a way to restore to new, but also keep all texts/contacts/notes?  As I can simply re download apps and sync my music from my computer.
    Thanks for the help!

Yes, because you have corrupted data in your back up. As long as you keep loading from that corrupted back up, you'll have the same problem.
Your notes and contacts should be synced to something (e.g. iCloud, Gmail, etc). If you restore the phone as new and resync, you shouldn't loose them. Texts are a bit tricker. I use PhoneView (Mac) to make archive PDFs of text messages I want to keep. TouchCopy works for Mac and Windows. There's no good way that I know of to reload the texts. However, they may be part of the problem so, you may be better off archiving them (you could always copy a PDF of the texts back to the phone) and starting fresh.

Computer is balky random freezes across apps. Two hard drive cleans later (their scan reveals no hard drive problems) photo shop won't work at all, magic touch mouse inoperable and their diagnoses is corrupted data? Anybody heard of this?

Well, yes, data does get corrupted sometimes.
The trick is finding what data.
By 'cleaned' are you therefor meaning that the drive has been erased and the system re-installed?
Because that's the quickest way to deal with such a situation.
Back up the system first of course,
Add back 3rd party apps one at a time in case one of them is causing the problem.

  • How can i check for corrupt data

I have a lot of machine embroidery designs stored on my imac and have reason to believe some may have corrupt data which is not evident when opening but has caused major damage to memory board in sewing machine. Is there anyway to scan for corrupt files?

My wifes sewing machine is in for service and repair because a couple of designs in the memory have somehow become too big for the machine to open them so it is not possible to edit or delete them. I sent the designs to brother and their machines developed a problem as well so they had to change the memory board and they can only put it down to a corrupt file even though they can't prove it as virus scans show all clear and the designs work fine on the computer with the sewing software program. Our machine worked fine except for not being able to remove 3 designs. Brother said their machines version number changed and also couldn't remove the designs. I have read that if a file is corrupt, backup software will detect it but again no problem there. I have sent the suspect designs to someone in the US who is going to access the design and see if they can find anything but at the moment I can't get any answers because its never happened before. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
    Regards
    Dennis

thanks to people  that can help ...

There are some other solutions possible.
    1. Get another driver. The only one known is java only so it wont crash. But is not not free.
    2. Use a proxy driver. That means that another app actually does the database work. If it crashes you just start it again (which you can do in your main code.) That way it won't take down your server. There are commercial jdbc drivers that claim MS Access but are are really just proxy implementations as an option in this area.

  • What are the settings in i phone 4s for connecting internet in mobile data ?

what are the settings in i phone 4s for connecting internet in mobile data ?

Did you ever get a reply to this.  I have the same problem.  I have the same problem when even when I reply to an email... no photo shows up in my new reply message.  The only way I have figured out is to use the "forward" option.
But this still does not solve the problem when people email me back... I have no idea what photo they are speaking of.  Instead of a photo... there is a <photo name of some sort>.
Let me know if you ever hear on this one.
    Many thanks.

  • 10 GB of Corrupted Data

So today I attempted to update my phone from iOS 7.0 to 7.0.4. Near the end of the update I got an error message on my iTunes (I believe it was error 006, but I could be wrong) and my phone became frozen in the updating screen with the loading bar. iTunes suggested that I restore my phone to factory settings and then restore it again with a backup from earlier today, which I proceeded to do. Upon restoring my phone and attempting to sync all my data, I got an error message saying that I did not have enough room on my phone for everything and that I needed to delete 4 GB of data.
At this point I realized that my phone had 10 GB of "Other" clogging up all the space. Before this whole debacle my "Other" section was approximately half a gigabyte, if even. Now it's preventing me from accessing any of my beloved music on my phone. I scoured the various settings on my iTunes and my phone in an attempt to find a solution, but to avail. I tried restoring my phone to a backup from earlier today only to find that the 10 GB of Other was still present. In one last desparate attempt, I tried to restore my phone to a backup from September that I had created prior to updating to iOS 7. To my dismay, this failed as well.
Long story short, I have 10 GB of corrupted data on my phone that refuses to go away despite all my attempts. I'm tired and desparate guys, is there anything I can do. Or should I just give up and live with the 10 gigs? It seems unescapable at this point.

I hopefully have a solution for you as prior to writing this, i too had 10g of "other." My solution was actually quite simple.. Remove all music and sync, and then re sync the music back on. It actually fixed this is uner 2 minutes(yes un-installing, and re-installing music) for some reason was done extemely quick, and I now have 1.3g of "other" I think it was syncing songs twice..I really hope this helps you as i was extremely frustrated myself until i fixed it.
