Constant syslog errors

I installed archlinux on my laptop and after first boot i saw errors like
unable to enumerate USB device on port 2
unable to enumerate USB device on port 4
and that is couple of these errors a second so i couldn't see anything i wrote and output disappeared quite quickly in the flood of these errors. At first i wasn't to concern about that and i continued with post-installation work via ssh. But the problem remained. After some research i found that some users of Fedora and Debian have the same problem as is reported in these bugreports

It seems that it is actualy a NVIDIA problem. If i dont use prompt there is no discomfort, but the problem is that these errors fill my logs so that all log information is lost in the flood of these errors. What can i do to solve this. Is it appropriate to somehow block these errors and how would i do something like that.

Bascially the MAC address is being seen on two different port-channels which is the cause for the flapping. You need to track down the MAC of the host that is flapping between ports and investigate. Issues could be NIC teaming issues. For example, I have seen issues where specific blade chassis that contain one more switches are split among a pair distro switches. Those then connect to a pair of core switches. If the the NIC teaming is set incorrectly on the server then the mac might show up via different paths to the root bridge. Might be the cause for the flapping.
Start with the host and work your way backward through the network.

Cannot download a movie i recieve a constant download error with no code

Trying to download a movie from itunes after a few minutes of downloading I receive a constant download error message with no error code, trying again several times in different days and is the same, I have tryed with two different connections and the problem remains.

WLC Syslog error message

Hi all,
I get a lot of the following syslog error messages from 3 of my 4 WLCs (two WiSMs).
Error message:
ethoip.c:342 ETHOIP-3-PKT_RECV_ERROR
I searched at cisco.com and I found the information to use the bug toolkit or open a tac case, but I didn't find a bug or any further information related to that problem.
I can not even recognize any differences in the WLC configs - for centralize configuration I use an WCS.
WiSM Software version: 5.0.148.0
WCS Software vesion: 5.0.56.0
Does anyone of you had the same problem?

Hi dennischolmes,
after your post I checked the mobility group configuration on all four controllers, and indeed, there was a inconsitency in the configuration. The WCS couldn't see the mismatch, because the settings between the WCS and the controllers were the same. As I looked on the controllers web pages i saw, that different mobility group memebers with various mobility group names were configured on every single controller, maybe caused by applying a new controller template, where i changed the mobility group name.
I started from scratch configuring the mobility groups and the syslog error messages were stopping.

Constant 404 error message - cannot install my product (premiere pro)

I've just purchase the single product - adobe premiere pro.
I have received the confirmation email, verified my address.
When i click on get started - I get a constant 404 error message. Sometimes the adobe.com/en flashes up for a few seconds, then the 404 comes back again.
Other way in
I login to adobe.com sucessfully.
I cannot see anywhere in account/profile/comms etc for me to download Premiere. It just tells me I have purchased it.
But after a while the same 404 error pops up.
I'm using Chrome/Yosemite
I am not running any malware/spyware removal progs.
Nor am I running sophos or other anti-virus software.
Hugely frustrating..

Constant -54 error message,nothing works.

I've been having a problem with my phones and my laptop.
I've tried restoring iTunes, fixing iTunes, reinstalling, nothing works.
I have a constant -54 error, it doesn't want to sync my music, it erases all my music, every time I try to add an item it freaks out says cannot syn -54 error.
unknown error.
NOTHING WORKS.
how do I fix this? It's getting to the point where I just want to burn this phone and go Samsung, and I LOATH Samsung. Help.

Syslog errors on Wireless..

Folks - I am trying to determine if the huge amount of client side errors I see in our logs is normal. We setup WCS a couple of years ago, and I have been having a constant battle with trying to resolve alot of, what appear to me, client side errors. I have tried tweaking the controllers logging, but my syslog still gets hundreds of messages like those below - So, I am just curious - is this normal, or do I have a much much bigger issue?

This is roaming breaking because of possibly :
-bad coverage between APs
-interference/high load
Little you can do from a config perspective apart from analyzing where those happen and see if they are indeed related to coverage or whatsoever

Java update 6 causing constant permission errors

Hi Folks
I was looking for a little more experienced thoughts about the numerous persistent permission errors caused by the last java update for apple's software update. I've read forum articles that says it's OK to ignore them. And the Apple Support KB page that list the dozens of errors that can be safely ignored. But it just doesn't feel right. I'm tempted to revert to a pre java update backup version of the OS, that repair permissions gave a clean bill of health to it's screen. My question is; By not updating java Do I have more risk than by running with all the constant errors caused this update in file permissions? In trying to learn more about java I found among other things these snippets from Boutell.Com
However, most people do not have Java applications on their computers these days, and most websites useFlash instead of Java for the interactive features that used to be commonly written in Java.

Just wondering what others thought about this. And just how useful is java these days? Is it true Java has been dropped from OS 10.7? Hopefully, Flash is on the way out too.

I don't see those errors, but Disk Utility cannot fix anything related to symbolic links, so all I can recommend is to ignore them. Your other option is to reinstall the OS and then run Software Update, after making a bootable backup/clone.

Constant site errors

Once again we are getting constant "web page error" when save a reply. Also no emails are being sent since yesterday.
When clicking "Alert Me" the page jumps to my user profile then throws page error.
This happens on one Win 8.1 and one Windows 7 system.

"web page error" when save a reply.
What is the scenario? E.g. this sounds like it could be clicking on Submit twice? I keep forgetting that that is possible because of how Answers has been working (had been working, since it too apparently now allows us to retry a Submit when
it comes back after having done nothing.)

Note that for another issue in that same "Performance" thread we had been asked to clear our caches, apparently in the belief that something had been fixed. I give proof that if that was in fact true it was not the client caches which need
to be cleared but some intermediate ones in the network. I don't know how we are supposed to help try to diagnose a case like that. On Answers they are asking for Fiddler traces but I think that could actually fix some problems if they are related
to timeouts that we have no control over otherwise (because Fiddler is a proxy program).
So, try using Fiddler? If nothing else you may then have diagnostics to help give a clearer symptom description. <eg>

P55-CD53 Constant Reboot Errors

System Specs
P55-CD53 with 1.6 bios
i5-750
4/8gb Corsair CMX4GXM2A1600C9(system unstable with 8, went to 4 same issues)
Antec Earthwatts 650w
Nvidia GTX 260 graphics card
I have constant issues with memeory errors, 7c, memory_management, Kernel event 41, etc
I have ran Memtest+ on every single stick of ram individually(8 passes) as well as all 4 sticks(8 passes).
I have re-installed Windows 7, Windows Vista twice and I cannot stop the reboots. Please help.

Not meant to create an argument, but a true attempt with some help & thoughts what the problem may be. The RAM you have is 'rated' 1600, but in fact is more than likely 1333 chipped. They are in essence overvolted & undertimed to run at 1600 speed. Your board, is 1066/1333 native with 1600 & above OC'ing is required. The limitations of the CPU IMC also come into play often making things even more complicated. Unless you really need 8G RAM, 4G normally is much easier to get to run stable too. It may take some playing around & tweaking, but you might be able to get all 8G working at 1333. For starters, with just 4G, set to 1333 9 9 9 24 2T @ 1.55 or 1.60V's & see how it goes.

Syslog errors while rebooting FI

Hi Team ,
We rebooted Fabric interconnect yesterday & found below errors on FI console.
Pls suggest what is cause of it & how it can be rectified.

I see the following errors in the syslog all the time.
Leopard 10.5.3 Mac MIni PPC - all patches current.
Airport Extreme Base station 7.3.1
NAT box not checked in AEBS NAT screen
Connect to the internet via Verizon DSL, PPPoE, DCHP from Verizon.

Firewall is on Set Access (option 3). I have allowed the following:
AFP
Printer Sharing
Screen Sharing
Airport Utility
Safari
iPhoto
ddnswriteconfig
I can use the web, VPN etc with no problems.
I have a new MB with the same except it is an Intel MAC with all the same setting, patch levels.
Any help would be appreciated.

For the last 24 hours+ I've been getting this constant error (?) showing up in one of my Xserve's System log...

I don't recognize the IP listed either.
It's possible that it has something to do with an SSH attack on one of my Xserve's that's currently taking place (http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2260955&tstart=0), but I'm unsure.
Anyone know what this means?
