Constantly getting error 503 on FDM and HFM
Hi,
We are new user, using version 11.2.2.3. Every time there are major processes that required a lot of resources (e.g consolidation, multiple load, multiple processes), our FDM/HFM server
server will spit out 503 error. It will lock the user and eventually kick them out of the system. We suspect there are something in the setting/configuration so that we can maximize the parallel processes better. We are not sure if this is the real issue. Our server is running Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard Edition.
I would recommend going through the logs as a starting point. Check the Windows Event logs, HFM event log, ODL logs, etc. You could also fire up performance monitor to monitor key activity (memory utilization, CPU, locks, etc.)
HTTP 503 I believe is 'Internal Server Error' which would be a server error encountered executing the web application code. Is 'everything' breaking or only specific pieces of functionality? You mentioned HFM and FDM; however, is workspace and shared services broken as well? The 503 error implies the web side of things is down; however, what happens when you use the HFM client program or FDM Workspace client?
Without knowing a lot more about your environment, it would be very difficult to effectively troubleshoot this. Initial thought is that the server(s) you are using do not meet the minimum requirements for the application/users you have.
If you go to the document repository for 11.2.2 documentation library, you can find a lot of information in regards to deployment and troubleshooting. (http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E17236_01/nav/portal_1.htm)
If this is a critical, time-sensitive issue, you may need to reach out to Oracle or one of the 3rd party consulting companies to get this resolved. Trying to figure this out over forum posts may not be the most effective way to fix this.

After i have upgraded to Lion OS, this computer has become the **** computer on this planet. Everything is so slow as if i am in 1990 where you can click on something and take a coffee break. Constantly get errors on MS Outlook and all applications are taking for ever to open up. If you guys can't fix it i am going to throw this out the window. Completely fed up with this. Have always loved apple but this is the worst experience i have with the MacBook Air and its not even 1.5yr old.
There are two ways to upgrade to Lion - one is to install Lion overtop of the existing Snow Leopard and the other is to erase the hard drive, install Lion, and then migrate your applications and user accounts. This second option takes a good deal longer than the first so the preferred method for most is the first method and in most cases it works fine. But not in all.
captfred has told you what I'd start out doing if it were my computer. There's a good chance that you can identify an application or plug-in that's causing the problem. Upgrading the involved item(s) can solve the problem. Of all the Lion upgrades I performed I had a couple that weren't completely successful even though I'd looked for programs and plug-ins that needed upgrading first. I missed a few but I found them after the fact and had happy computers.
There was one computer that still had problems. With this computer I reinstalled Lion right over the old version. (If you didn't keep a copy you'll need to download it first.) I still wasn't satisfied so with that computer I rebooted into the recovery partition (Command R after restarting) formatted the hard drive, installed Lion and then migrated. That did solve the problem. -
I'm in UK but am getting Errors 503, 105007 and 105002 when trying to update
I'm in UK but am getting Errors 503, 105007 and 105002 when trying to publish updates to 2 websites. System maintenance is going on right now in US and Australia but nothing about Europe. its Sunday 1900 here ( UTC+1)
I was getting the same errors about 20 hours ago too - surely maintenance in US won't affect Europe and wouldn't prevent publishing for 24 hours?
Any suggestions = I guess the Adobe help desk will be SNAFUFrom BC Blog Post:
Partner registration, Trial site creation Muse Publish, APIs, FTP and some admin section will not be available for 4 hours on all data centers.
If you see the errors after maintenance is complete contact BC Support. -

Hi, I got my Mac in 2009 with photoshop elements on it - it's recently been wiped, however before the process we put Photoshop onto a hard drive, we then copied it back over and it no longer works, I'm getting error code 150:30 and I'm being asked for a password... any ideas how to get it working again?
You can never, never migrate an installed copy of PSE. It's just too complex and you can't get to all the bits and bobs.
First you will have to download and run this:
Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6
which will not seem to do anything, but is necessary to break the links within PSE so that you can pitch the bits manually. Then you will have to go around, not only to applications, but also to your username>library>preferences and most importantly to the library at the top level of your hard drive>application support>adobe, and remove everything you can find. Spotlight will not help with this kind of search, so don't try that.
Then you can install PSE from scratch. -

I am constantly getting error 1034 with no apparent pattern. This is under the latest version of Windows 7. Apparently I am not alone in this. When will this be addressed by Adobe?

After upgrading to iTunes 10.3.1 I get error -50 on startup and 1008 when I try to sign in to the Store. How do I fix this?
I got the solution from another post...
use the Finder to navigate to /library/preferences/SystemConfiguration and delete NetworkInterfaces.plist ( you will be prompted for username and password), then reboot. You will get a message about new network interface found--just reset the network info.
That did it for me. -
I got this error: 503,0. And I cannot publish my new update?

Edited by: anshu_299 on Nov 18, 2008 9:39 AMHi,
503 error comes when the client finds that the target server is not running or accessible.
Is the java system up and running? Check if the server nodes are up ?
check for the logs in work dir and if only server node is not coming up then check for default traces.

Constantly getting error 302 when trying to export release build
As the title says, I can't export a release build (any more) with Flash Builder 4.7 using AIR 3.5 (or 3.6 beta for that matter).
The compilation process is immediately interrupted with error 302: Root content ... is missing from package.
What can I do about this?
BTW: @Adobe support, please check the forum login! I also constantly get an error 413 wich cancels the login process. Had to go to a computer where my cookie has been saved to get here.
Edit: Using the debugger (iOS Simulator or ADT) works, though. Could someone please shed some light into this? I really have to test a release build.So, even after setting up a new project, the problem didn't go away. Seems as if the problem sits within the libraries I'm using, though none of them do show any errors or problems.
Edit:
I was wrong accusing Flash Builder on this one! I've had two asset source paths that overlapped and apparently, Flash Builder can't handle that when you try to make a release build. Again, debugging always worked fine. I didn't get any warnings either, so it took me quite some time to even think that that might be an issue.
Still, the pletheora of Flash Builder bugs remains!
Found a new one with is also rather annoying recently;
Open the local history of a file and try to copy some text from that file, you'll instantly get a java nullpointer, resulting in the fact that the text isn't copied to the clipboard.
Edit2:
That last edit was actually based on a premature thought of success. Unfortunately, the project still doesn't compile. There are no errors or problems whatsoever in neither of the library projects or the main project.
Edit3: - Finally solved it!
After re-installing FB4.7, thus overwriting the old installation with all it's SDKs, I figured that the merged SDKs might have been causing this issue.
I've merged SDKs several times before using FB4.7 and it worked fine all the time, the absolutely ridiculous way Adobe forces us to update the AIR SDK with 4.7 is so prone to error, that I might have made a mistake this time though.
So for everyone who struggles with this issue as well, make sure your SDKs are in order! Also check the version numbers in air-sdk-description.xml which is located in the AIRSDK folder. -
When downloading itunes to my pc, get error message 'Apple mobile device could not be installed - verify you have sufficient privileges to install system services'
i am forced to abort/cancel. Can anyone help please?Me too. And if someone comes back on here with the same solution of "uninstall and re-install", please provide further advice after you have done that 3 times and the program still has the same problem in addition to the "failure to load the C runtime library" R6034 issue. I have removed itunes 3 times however I do not have permission to remove the program files/apple file and the uninstall doesn't remove it.
You're not alone buddy.

Safari constantly getting errors
Hello I am having problems with Safari 3.0.4 lately and I do not know why.I never had any problems in the past,I get errors all the time when I am on sites like Ebay,problems loading and pictures not coming up and Safari error pages.This seems like it started ever since my wife installed a Shutterfly plug-in, could this be the problem?
Hello RMT07!
Sorry for the length of this post, and sorry I have no help to offer on this issue - but I can confirm it and add to it. I sure hope that someone else who also spends a lot of time on eBay can help with this. However, since your issue seems more generalized than what I've seen, you may in fact be having a problem with a plug-in, and that gives me an idea to delete Flip4Mac and see if that resolves my problem. If not, I think I'll next delete Adobe Reader as well, then delete my scanner software.
As you report, it won't happen for days, sometimes it only takes a refresh or two to get past it, other times I give up after 20 or more tries. Sometimes I can backup to a previous eBay page, but too often I get that same problem even when trying to access previous eBay pages by either back up, or by using an earlier eBay page from the History.
I am always able to back up to another website, or to access another website using the History. I can clear the cache, quit Safari, restart my Mac, and immediately have the exact same server error message when trying to access a completely different eBay page. Nevertheless, I can always go immediately to any other website except eBay without any issue showing.
I have never received that server error message from anywhere but eBay, and have never had a problem with any website other than eBay. However, for me this has been going on for well prior to the release of Safari 3.
I get the server error message for page not loading and send the bug report with the error code to Apple. Unfortunately, the release of Safari 3 made no difference for me, and the following advice from eBay surely made no difference either. eBay's email answer on June 9, 2007 to my specific site issue complaint was:

In such a situation, I'll suggest that update your Java. eBay has made
changes to its site utilizing more Java applications in an effort to
ensure maximum compatibility with the numerous browsers that are now in
use. We recommend that our members keep their browser's Java engine up
to date to ensure that it will work with the site.
To update your Java engine go to the following page, click "Download
Now" and follow the instructions:
http://www.java.com
This will solve your problem surely.
It is my pleasure to assist you. Thank you for choosing eBay.
Sincerely,
Matilde T.

2D array getting errors on passing variables and more...
When I compile this, I get an error saying that I cannot pass my variables of pizza, type, and day. It says that it cannot have String and int[][]. Then I get errors saying that symbol cannot be resolved for my variables of type, pizza, and day when they are in my input and calculate methods of the menu class.
I am trying to set up a 2D array that has 3 rows and 7 columns, for 3 types of pizza and the days of the week. If I get it right, it should allow the user to input the # of each type of pizza sold on each day, and then total it and display the totals.
Each time I change something, I get something else weird going on. If anyone can help me figure out where I went wrong I would appreciate it.
Thanks
import java.io.*;
class my_main
public static void main (String []args) throws IOException
int [] [] pizza = new int [3] [7];
String [] type = {"Cheese", "Sausage", "Pepperoni"};
String [] day = {"Monday", "Tuesday", "Wednesday", "Thursday", "Friday", "Saturday", "Sunday"};
menu menupt = new menu();
menupt.input(pizza, type, day);
menupt.calculate(pizza, type, day);
class menu
BufferedReader br = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(System.in));
int col = 0;
int row = 0;
int total = 0;
int T;
void input (String []args) throws IOException
for (col = 0; col < 7; col++)
for (row = 0; row < 3; row++)
System.out.print ("Enter the number of "+type [row]+"pizzas sold on "+day[col]);
void calculate (String []args) throws IOException
for (col = 0; col < 7; col++)
for (row = 0; row < 3; row++)
T = total + pizza[row][col];
System.out.println ("The number of "+type[row]+"pizzas sold on "+day[col]+"="+T);
When I compile this, I get an error saying that I
cannot pass my variables of pizza, type, and day. It
says that it cannot have String and int[][]. You are calling :
menupt.input(pizza, type, day);What this call is trying to do is send 3 arguments to input() - the 1st arg is a 2d int arr, the 2nd is a String arr and the 3rd is a String arr i.e int[][], String[], String[]
But the input() method is declared like this:
void input (String []args) throws IOExceptionAccording to this signature, input() takes only 1 argument - String arr, not 3 args that you are trying to pass to it.
Hence the compile error.
Then I
get errors saying that symbol cannot be resolved for
my variables of type, pizza, and day when they are in
my input and calculate methods of the menu class.Really?
void input (String []args) throws IOException
for (col = 0; col < 7; col++)
for (row = 0; row < 3; row++)
System.out.print ("Enter the number of "+type [row]+"pizzas sold on "+day[col]);
}Where are the vars type, pizza & day in the input() method? The only vars that it knows about are :
1. args - the string array argument that is passed to it.
2. col
3. row
Each time I change something, I get something else
weird going on. If anyone can help me figure out
where I went wrong I would appreciate it. First try to understand the following:
what variables are
what variable scope means
what scopes are possible
how to pass arguments to methodsThen a light bulb will turn on in your head with regard to these problems/errors. -
