Consumer proxy - multiple lines, 1 message

Hello experts,
I'm integrating an SAP BW 3.5 and an SAP PI 7.11 system together using ABAP proxies.
On the BW side, I've a table with mutiple records which should be moved to only 1 message on SAP PI.
So, On SAP PI, I've a structure with specific segments with occurence 0...10.
What is that best way to do this? Which kind of mapping should I use?

Hi Dimitri,
Your scenario is incomplete.
YOu are sending data from a BW system to SAP PI, which is an integration system.
YOu have to send it from SAP PI to some other system to make the scenario complete.
SAP PI is not a business system.
If you are just trying to do a demo kind of a scenario, then you can use some z table in the abap stack of XI system.
On your SAp BW side, you have to build ABAP logic to move multipple records of information in to a single internal table and pass it to the proxy class->method.
In your SAP PI system, you have to define the structure of the outbound interface as which is capable of holding multiple records.
To tell you how the mapping should be, you need to have a target system and a target structure.
Based on the target interface structure, your mapping will be defined.

I find that the HTTP Adapter is not able to handle a multi message as it returns error "Messages in multi-message format can only be sent to one Adapter Engine".
So a BPM is required to process each message and send them one at a time. My test SalesOrder has 2 lines and so I expect 2 messages to be sent. I have a BPM but it is only sending the first message and it should do both.
My BPM has the following steps
Receive Step for SalesOrder
Transformation Step for SalesOrder into OrderLinesMessage
ReceiverDetermination Step for OrderLinesMessage to Receivers container
ForEach block for Multiline element (Receivers) to CurrentLine (ReceiverLine container)

Message handling with multiple lines to display

We have a requirement to issue an error message during dialog processing (PAI) and I'd like to use standard message handling if possible. The syntax
MESSAGE W008(ZTM) DISPLAY LIKE 'I'.
gives me a dialog box but handles the message as an error hence processing stops and the user returns to the screen. I want this functionality but with the ability to display several lines in the message pop up box. I've looked at the function modules POPUP_DISPLAY_MESSAGE but this displays only 1 line and POPUP_TO_CONFIRM which handles multiple lines but doesn't stop processing (unless further code is added to handle the response). Can someone suggest a standard of way of achieving this requirement or how to handle a response as an error in the subsequent processing after a call to function module POPUP_TO_CONFIRM.

When I send messages to other iOS running devices from my Mac with Messages beta, the message I typed in non-Roman characters (Korean) will be broken into multiple lines word-by-word quite frequently, Also, there seems to be random punctuation added among the lines such as ",("

I have seen this for Chinese and Arabic written in Lucida Grande rather than a specific language Font.
The Chinese issue was solved by using one of the listed Simplified Chines Fonts
The Arabic person never came back to the thread.

OAException - Custom message in multiple lines

Hi All,
Is is possible to display an error message to the user in multiple lines using OAException?
For Ex: The Error message should be displayed as below
1. Effective from date should be less than Effective to date
2. Difference between Effct Frm Dt and Effct To Dt is greater than 12 months
Incase these two messages have been hard coded in two string variables, Is it possible to display it in two different lines ?

Let me try to answer some of your questions:
1) The "Requires Secure Access" attribute of a resource handler controls whether this handler must be accessed/consumed only over SSL (HTTPS). Oracle Database Cloud Schema Service is only offered over SSL, so this attribute does not have any effect on RESTful services deployed in this environment (because secure access is always required and there is no other way). That said, if you want to access such web service from your own APEX instance, your instance must have Oracle Wallet configured with appropriate SSL certificate.
2) The URI parameters are not required. If your web service returns data for many entities (for example, list of employees in employees/), you may not need a parameter. If your web service returns data for one specific entity (for example, details of one employee in employees/{id}), you may want to identify that entity with a URI parameter.
3) You can have many URI parameters, for example: customers/{id}/orders/{order_id}.
4) Yes, these are the same HTTP methods/verbs you would use from PHP.
5) If you are trying this POST example from your own APEX instance (not Oracle Database Cloud Schema Service) and you are trying to access a web service over SSL, then it is likely that the Oracle Wallet used by your instance does not include the required SSL certificate(s), or the Oracle Wallet is not configured at all.
6) I recommend to check RESTful Web Services for the Oracle Database Cloud white paper and Oracle REST Data Services Developers Guide. Oracle REST Data Services is the technology that enables RESTful services in the Oracle Database Cloud Schema Service.
You can certainly create your own web services in the Oracle Database Cloud Schema Service and consume them from the same environment.

Using Select all to create multiple lines in a sales order

Hello SAP experts,
In our business practice users create multiple line sales orders with reference to contracts and use the copy paste method and then assign each line to the contract manually.
After a few years of this practice i found a new way to create multiple lines but it doesn't quite work correctly. When you have created the first line of an order if you click on the select all button the system will ask you how many lines do you want to copy. I don't know if this is standard SAP but 3 things don't happen when we use this 1) The schedule line information is blank 2) conditions do not copy from the contract even though the contract has been referenced. 3) Since there is no schedule line information the order fails when saving and we get a update terminated message.
I am having problems finding any documentation around this function so any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

CASE1: Created PR 760001340 with single line item and also could able to create PO.
Case2: Created PR 760001341 with multiple line items, When creating PO with reference to PR the line items and Vendor are not picking Up.

Hi Selvakumar,
we can resrict the PO to have a single delivery date in all the line items by means of giving a error message or overwiting the delivery date keyed/determined in the line item.
You can use the BADI -> ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST. In which you need to implement the method PROCESS_SCHEDULE.
(for technical aid - This method will be called for each and every PO line item, From the imporing parameter im_schedule we can get all the details of current PO line, even we can change the data in the current PO line. )

    Can you please suggest me how to create a Purchase Order Using BAPI_PO_Create1 for Multiple Plants Or for Multiple Line items. The Requirement is like the PO is for single material for single vendor but for mulple stores i.e plants
NOte: Suggest me the Creation of PO for MUltiple Line items or for multiple plants Using BAPI . Hope you people will give me the needful.

Error while activating webservice-consumer-proxy

Hi,
I'm trying to generate a webservice-consumer-proxy from a Salesforce.com-WSDL-File. When trying to activate the proxy I receive an error-message from class CX_ESD_EXCEPTION stating "Beim Aktivieren des Proxys ist ein Fehler aufgetreten." (in english: "Error occured when activating the proxy"). The WSDL-File is SOAP-Version 1.1, Document/Literal.

I have a similar issue and it says that the reason is one of the exception classes in XML in not derived from either cx_static_check or cx_dynamic_check.
Please let me know if anyone have ideas how to resolve this

Error in soap header when use webservice consumer proxy

I create a webservice consumer proxy to external server. the webservice provider is .Net and it required a message level security.
The soap message should include a soap header, like this:

I have the same problem as you did before and I posted my code in this [thread|Change SOAP Header: Consuming Webservice;.
In order to to solve your problem, I need to know what is the header that you want to add into the header, what is WSDL, and have you try testing that web service using other tool such as SOAPUI or XMLSPY and what is the result of testing tool?
