Contact Centre migration

Hello All,
I'm planning to migrate a contact center based on legacy hardware to a new cisco contact center (uccx).
This CC serves our customers with strict SLAs so I'll have to minimize downtimes.
I'll install a callmanager cluster and migrate phone. I'll have my legacy pbx system connected with a SIP trunk to the new callmanager.
Any ideas on how to proceed with the migration?
Any document for best practices in migrating contact centres?
The biggest requirement is to have all the operators (around 50) migrated to the new CC. So some kind of one shot migration.
thanks all for your help
lorenz

Hi,
there's no good answer to that.
What I would probably do is to prepare an exact copy of the legacy phone+ACD on the CUCM+UCCX platform, test it extensively, let it run for a while, and when you eliminated all of the problems, switch over.

  • CUCM 8 - Contact Centre

    Hello,
I have an extension that cannot login to contact centre. I have checked everything and the config looks fine. I dont get any error on the phone except for contacting your administrator. I was just wondering if there is anywhere on CUCM that I could see the agent log file to see what's the error.
    Thanks

I know that user is using 'one button login'. i cant see anything wrong. user used to have a 7940 phone and all I did was to replace it with a 7960. I just added the second mac address as the associated device to his extension number. the user can login to contact centre with the old phone but not with the new one.
I'm new to the call manager, so im not sure where I could set a trace/log to see what error I get.

  • Duplicate Contacts when migrating mailboxes to exchange 2013 SP1 CU7

    Hello,
We started to notice that when we move a user from our legacy exchange 2007 to exchange 2013, the contact list appears twice for users.  I heard CU6 was suppose to fix this issue but we went ahead and downloaded the latest version and we are still seeing
this.  Can anyone provide guidance on how to stop this for the remaining migrations?
    Thanks

    Hi Joey,
    I'm back : )
According to your description, I know that the contact list appears twice for users after moving users from Exchange 2007 to Exchange 2013.
I notice that you want to install CU6 to fix this issue, based on my knowledge, CU6 can cause an known issue when you are using Exchange 2007 and 2013 coexistence and query mailbox move request via EMS. However is known issue has fixed in CU7, I suggest
    install CU7 for testing.

  • Business Contact Manager - migration 2010 to 2013

    Hello,
I recently migrate my BCM 2010 database to 2013 following the link "Business Contact Manager for Microsoft Outlook 2013: Update for Upgrading from Business Contact Manager 2010".
At beginning everything went smoothly and I thought that everything has been migrated successfully.
Unfortunately, when I was checking my data more carefully, I found that some fields are now mixed up. This happened inside accounts and professional contacts forms.
The options and labels for fields email, address and phone are all mixed up.
    Examples:
    - Field email address, when selected "email 3", label changes to "work", this label belongs to address field.
    - Field address, when selected "work", label changes to "email" that belongs to email field.
    - Almost all labels are mixed up :(
Can somebody help my to find a solution for this issue....
    Thank you
    Regards
    Abílio

Hello, we recently also migrated our BCM from 2010 to 2013 with the Business Contact Manager for Outlook 2013 Database Tool and all went also smoothly
except we now have the same problem as Abílio, meaning the fields are mixed up
    Examples:
    - Field email address, when selected "email 3", label changes to "work", this label belongs to address field.
    - Field address, when selected "work", label changes to "email" that belongs to email field.
    - Phone numbers: when selected "work", label changes to "Home"
    - Almost all labels are mixed up :(
Can somebody please help us get this right again?

  • MobileMe contacts lost migrating to iCloud

Upgraded to iOS5 no problem.  Went to me.com to migrate to iCloud.  Seems to have worked fine except the only contact in my contacts list is now just me.
ALL of my contacts are gone.  They appear not to have migrated over.  They are not on my phone either.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Mike

Had the same issue, but all contact info was deleted from my iMac so I had to goto library, found in Finder/Go while holding down the option key [i forgot Apple has now hid the Library folder]. I restored from Time Machine.
Then I goto to iCloud preferences and click Contacts, which prompts a Merge request, agree, merges Contacts and DELETES them on my iMac. Spent an 1/2 with Apple support and what they told me is their server is looking at what is the most RECENT file and punts the older version, which is on my iMac.
He told me to give it a couple days as there are a LOT of people trying to do the iCloud set up and the servers are very strained.

  • OSX SERVER - Contacts server- migrating icloud contacts

hi folks, I am migrating away from storing any of my data in the cloud.
I have an osx server setup and want to migrate my contacts away from icloud contacts, and onto the osx contacts server only.
any advice on, whats the best way to go about this.
    thanks

If this helps this is what I have done now, having put together advice and hints from others with a little of my own knowledge.
Export each Calendar to a .ics file.
Install OS X Server on Macbbook Pro.
Set up a user on the server called syncuser with associated password.
Limited this user to access only Calendar and Contact services.
In Calendar app on Macbook connect to Calendar service via Preferences>Accounts.
In the left hand pane of Calendar there will now be an OS X Server section. Create a calendar to match each of your 'ON My Mac' calendars and import the relevant .ics file into each.
On the iPhone in settings>mail, contacts, calendars create a calendars account and enter the syncuser details. There should now be duplicate events if you elected to keep the original data on the iPhone. At the bottom of the screen there are now 3 links:- Today   Calendars   Inbox. I don't remember theses being there before.
If you navigate to a date other than today, touching Today takes you straight back to today.
Touching Calendars lets you choose which calendars to use, turn off the display of those 'From My PC' and you will be left with only the events synchronised from your mac.
Now in Contacts>Preferences>Accounts on the Mac create a contacts account using syncuser credentials again.
In the left hand pane of Contacts there will be an 'All OS X Server' section. The instructions I found (Ithink they were pre-Mavericks) said select all contacts in 'All On My Mac' and drag them to 'All on OS X Server' THIS DOES NOT WORK. Iinstead, go back to Contacts>Preferences>Accounts and create another contacts account just like before. This will create an 'All servername.home' section in the left pane and you CAN drag contacts to this.
I think the first one logs in to the server and exposes the services available and the second one connects to the contacts service.
Finally, back to the iPhone in settings>mail, contacts, calendars create a contacts account, you can keep the local data again, and in Contacts>Groups turn off 'All on My Phone'.
    That's it.
A suggestion for those who live away from access to internet services or who travel a lot, obtain a small wifi router and set up access to it from each of your devices, I would also limit access to it to the MAC address of each of your devices. You should now be able to sync locally over wifi wherever you are, you don't need to connect it to broadband. It's a pain having to carry another piece of kit rather than a cable but at least they are smalland if I am correct that this would work it solves the problem of local sync.
    Good Luck
    Chris.

  • Anyone successfully integrated Nortel Contact Centre 6 with ICM 7.2.7 PG?

We have an ICM system currently running ICM 7.2.7 at the CICM, with an ICM 7.2.7 symposium PG which we are trying to integrate with a Nortel CC6 call centre system.
The CC6 system has successfully acquired the agent handsets from the meridian 1 ACD connected to it.
I have downloaded and installed the CC6 SDK files for HDX, RSM and RTD from Nortel and installed these on the PG (using ANSI option for HDX and RTD SDK installers) and have edited the registry to update the NINameServer entries in the SDK as per the cisco documentation. I have also run the Nicomsetup executable in the SDK and this has successfully completed.
However when I start up the PG processes, the PIM initially goes Active (HDX registers OK along with RTD) but then shows messages that the RTD DLL lost connection to the RTD server on the CC6 machine (background network pings show no lost packets). This RTD DLL then reestablishes connection by itself for a while before OPC decides to shutdown and restart the PIM , the whole cycle then repeats.
I have rebooted both the PG and the symposium server but doesn't make any difference.
New to symposiums so probably something I have missed on the CC6 system.
Anyone managed to get these successfully integrated, if so what things resolved the issue?

    Hi,
I'm wondering if you ever got this working.  I am currently experiencing a similar issue integrating with ICM 7.5.6.

  • Contact centre home working

    Hi all,
This is my first post so please be gentle! And as its my first time I wasn't sure where to find the answer to my thoughts
We have UCCX (8.5) on pilot currently in our CC, we will be moving from UCCE (old version) - within my role I'm responsible for looking at new things for the centre and home working is an area we know little about and I'm curious to explore how our CISCO infrastructure could help support this.
I've been researching softphones for use with an ipad - and mobile 8.1 seems to fit the bill but can calls from a UCCX system be fed to the app on an ipad over wireless?
Appreciate that a VPN connection will be needed for our CRM app to function so we will have to ensure this happens anyway.
Any thoughts or advice or links to other parts of the site much appreciated
    Regards
    Paul

    Paul,
Jabber for iPhone or iPad which is the only Cisco softphone client for these devices does not suppose agent login capabilities, you need to ensure the endpoint that agents login onto are supported per the below matrix:
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cust_contact/contact_center/crs/express_compatibility/matrix/crscomtx.pdf
For remote agents per SRND the following is supported:
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cust_contact/contact_center/crs/express_9_0/design/UCCX_BK_UD5B347F_00_uccx-solution-reference-network-design.pdf
    Remote agent over broadband
Unified CCX supports remote agents (for example, at-home agents) using Cisco Unified IP Phone over a
broadband internet connection. The Cisco Voice and Video Enabled IPSec VPN (V3PN) ADSL or Cable
connection can use a Cisco 800 Series router as an edge router to the broadband network. The Cisco 800
Series router can provide the remote agent with V3PN, Encryption, Network Address Translation (NAT),
Firewall, Cisco IOS Intrusion Detection System (IDS), and QoS on the broadband network link to the Unified
CCX campus. Remote agent V3PN aggregation on the campus is provided via LAN to LAN VPN routers.
Cisco recommends using the Cisco 800 Series router with the following features for remote agent over
    broadband:
    • Quality of Service (QoS) with Low-Latency Queuing (LLQ) and Class-Based Weighted Fair Queuing
    (CBWFQ) support
    • Managed Switch
    • Power over Ethernet (optional)
The Cisco 830, 870, and 880 Series routers are examples of the recommended routers. Cisco does not support
using the Cisco 850 and 860 Series routers for this application because they have limited QoS feature support.
The Cisco VPN Client feature available in select Cisco Unified IP Phones provides another option for remote
agents to connect their IP Phones to the enterprise.
As last sentence states it is now supported to use Phone VPN capabilities to login agents and no additional hardware i.e. 8XX VPN router would be needed at agent's home.
Alternatively, if you stay with UCCE you can utilize native remote agent capabilities and have agents login onto any phone, i.e. home analog phone for example. Here is a doc describing that functionality:

  • IP Contact Centre is not using the new hardware transcoder

    Hi All,
I have installed a Voice Gateway to translate g.729 calls to our UCCX which uses g.711 Codec.
The transcoder has registered to the Call Manager, but when I ring the UCCX pilot line from a G.729 phone, I am not being directed to the hardware transcoding resource.
I am thinking that I might need to reset the CTI ports that go from Call manager over to UCCX as one possible solution.
Our MRG is the null group.
Since no groups are defined, we should have access to the hardware transcoder, but I am not seeing any calls directed to it.
I think that call manager might be trying to transcode via one of the software based MTPs defined earlier.
I would like to enable a Media Resource Group List, but am worried how it will affect the rest of the environment using the Null MRGL.
Once I create one MRGL, will I need to quickly apply that to all of my phones and ports to UCCX in order to not run into problems?
Can anyone shed any light on this and provide some tips?
    thanks for any help
    Regards
    Amanda

    Hi G,
I will check on the codec tomorrow.
I will have to ask the guy at the remote site to hit the ?? key for me.
The remote sites use Call Manager Express that have SIP trunks back to a Call Manager Server.  From there,  the call travels across a SIP trunk to our Call Manager Server.
The user hears the Welcome prompt and the call seems normal until the Desktop Agent answers the call.  As soon as the Desktop Agent answers the call, I think it is dropped.  I think I have a code c mismatch.
If the user dials the full number and goes via the PSTN to our pilot number,  they come in using G.711 and that call goes through normally.  Our work-around if to dial the full number.

  • Contact Centre Express

Can some one tell me how to use CCX. I want that if some one calls. it should play a msg that "if you know that desired extension dial the extension otherswise wait for operator's assistance" kind of this .. is this can be achieved by CCX 5.0. Please guide.
Which hardware is required. We are running CUCM 6.1.1.3 with unity 5.1. Is it possible to do the same thing with some unity feature if yes please explain.

It can be done by Unity Call Handler.  You don't need UCCX.  (though UCCX can do the same).

  • Migration to new G/L , balance and line item display after migration

  • How to share contacts in iCloud?

For years I'm trying to digitalize the contact and calendar information in my household on the Apple eco-system, which started in the early years of MobileMe... in the mean time the rather expensive (family pack) MobileMe service has been replaced by the more integrated iCloud services, but I'm getting stuck now in the contacts portion of the story where the upgrade from iCal to Calendar in Mountain Lion did cover most of my needs: my family (like most families in the world I guess) want to have a central contact list that can be maintained by 'mum and dad' and viewed by the children, including having the birthdays visible in the Calendar...
In the support community I see posts on people being motivated to get individual iCloud ID's to be able to have personal entries, and some tricks to keep the current shared contacts after migration and afterwards deleting the ones you don't want anymore... but not mentioning that from that time on all common contacts need to be maintained by each of the family members (again)...
The approach in calendars allows to create various calendar (or groups), and allowing to subscribe to these either publicly or with a list of iCloud ID's with either view or edit capability... the birthday events are created out of the contacts automatically. Couldn't this subscription functionality be arranged for Contacts?
PS: As it stands now, I had to give up my personal me.com account and use it as the family account where all the common (but also my personal) contacts are maintained, and our iPad is the 'single source of truth'... the iMac is becoming less useful as the contacts are not available to the other family members, as they are still linked to their old me.com ID's...

Your Mac would need to be signed into the same account to actually share contacts.  However, it's possible to copy the contacts from one account to the other.  You would do this by signing into the account that contains all the contacts in System Preferences>iCloud (if you need to, sign out, choose Delete at all the prompts -- your data will still be in iCloud -- then sign into the account containing the contacts), and check contacts so they appear on your Mac.  Once on your Mac, open Contacts, go to View>Groups, select All Contacts group in the iCloud section on the left sidebar, go to Edit>Select All to select all contacts (they should be all be highlighted in blue), then go to File>Export>Export vCard and save this file on your desktop.
Next, go to System Preferences>iCloud, sign out, choose Delete at all prompts, sign into the account that has the partial contact list and check Contacts.  Then double-click the file you saved earlier to import the full set of contacts to your Mac, and it to this iCloud account.  Then open Contacts and go to Card>Look for Duplicates and merge the duplicates found.  You should now have the full set of contacts in both accounts.  You can then sign into the account you want to use on this Mac and recheck the data you want to share with iCloud and the data will reappear on your Mac after a short delay as it redownloads.
