    Making the HTML form is easy but the form processing script which collects data & sends it to your email is not quite so simple.   Start with your web host.  Ask them if they have form-to-email processing scripts you can use.  If they don't, find out which scripts your hosting plan supports (php, asp, asp.net, perl, coldfusion, etc...)

  • Contact forms in dreamweaver

    I wondering if I could get some guidance on building contact forms in dreamweaver.

    Forms are the easy part.  It's just HTML5 code.

    Form processing scripts are a bit more complex.  Start by asking your hosting provider if they have scripts you can use.  If not, find out which server-side programming languages are supporting by your plan -- php, asp.net, perl, cold fusion, etc...  This will narrow your search to the scripts you can use on your server.

  • Can you have multiple contact forms in a single Muse site?

    I have a site created in Muse that needs to use multiple contact forms of a sort.  One is a simple contact form.  Two others are sign up forms. In two of the three forms I have to separate the First and Last names.  Also in those there are multiple Custom fields and Message fields.
    The original simple contact form is working fine and has been.  However, I modified one of the pages by adding a second form, the first of the two sign-up forms.  It looked great in Muse, but when uploaded to the site, all of the fields were gone, leaving only the Labels in a single paragraph.
    Does this mean I can't have multiple contact forms in a single site?  If I actually, can, then what might have caused the problem?  And what could you suggest for me to try to fix it?
    Thank you,
    Laura

    Thank you for the information, but I cannot find anywhere in help where to find the field names (if that is my problem).  I changed all the labels and the corresponding text inside the field (remember, Muse does not give access to code as far as I can tell).  When I preview the page in a browser (using FireFox as default, but also tried with IE), everything looks good.  When I export to html and open the index.html on my computer, everything still looks great.  But when I FTP the page to the website, this is what I get:
    First Name:RequiredRescuer Email:RequiredOrganization (if any):RequiredSubmitting Form...The server encountered an error.Form received.Geographic Areas Covered:RequiredRescuer Cell Phone:RequiredRescuer Home Phone:RequiredRescuer Home Address:
    RequiredRescuer City:RequiredRescuer State:RequiredRescuer Zip code:RequiredRescuer Country:RequiredVeterinarian Name:RequiredVet Address:RequiredVet City & State:RequiredVet Phone:RequiredRequiredServices Offered:RequiredAdditional Info About You:Required Rescuer (available to general public) RequiredVolunteer (available only to Rescuers)RequiredPhoneRequiredEmailRequiredOtherRequiredLast Name:RequiredImage Verification:Required
    How would you prefer to be listed?
    How would you prefer to be contacted?
    However, this is how it looks on the preview:
    So, what is my problem?  And how can I fix it?
    Thank you,
    Laura

  • Why does my contact form not work either muse or my own html coded form?

    I used the muse contact form and uploaded the website to my host but it does not send emails... it says it has sent but nothing arrive to email account.
    Then i decided to remove the muse contact form and use my tried and tested EmailMeForm html embed code which works. BUT........... if i look on preview the contact form stays in the correct position on the page. when i upload to the host the contact form moves up the page.
    can somebody help?

    Hi,
    When I first enabled my Muse contact form, it reported that the email was sent but I didn't receive the email.  I discovered the emails were going to my spam folder.  This was when I used my own domain email address--the same domain as my Muse website.  When I put my Gmail address into the contact widget, the messages arrived in Gmail as expected.
    I am able to receive messages in my initial email account (my domain name) by creating a message rule.  I also found that you can use two email addresses in the contact widget form, separating them with a comma: [email protected],[email protected]

  • How do you set up a contact form with response in Muse?

    Contact forms are so easy in WordPress, there must be a way to set one up in Muse when a third party (1and1) is hosting your site.

    And why don't you simply use one of the built in form widgets? They work fine with 1and1.

  • How Can I Create A Contact Form In Dreamweaver Using ASP

    I tried to create a contact form using php, but that failed epically. The server doesn't support php, and there isn't anything I can do about that. My only option now is to create it using ASP but I can't find a good tutorial on how to do so. Please help me!

    Ask your host if they have a form-to-email script you can use.  Many commercial hosts have scripts on their servers which you can activate through your C- or Admin-panel.
    Failing that, there are some commercial products you can use.

  • My php contact form won't work. HELP!?

    I've been trying this for a while now, following a few different online tutorials. It seems like a simple concept but i just cannot get the contact form to relay any data. I'll paste my php coding and my form below. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.
    <div class="contact_form">
        <form id="contactform" action="contact.php" method="post">

        <br><br>
        Email: <br><input name="email" type="email" id="email" value=""/>

        </textarea>
        <p></p>
        <input type="submit" name="submit" value="Send!"/>
    </form>
    </div>
    <?php
    if (isset($_POST['name']) && isset ($_POST['company_name']) && isset ($_POST['telephone']) && isset ($_POST['email']) && isset ($_POST['coments']) ) {

    Using email addresses in forms is a) not very reliable, b) a good way to get spammed.
    You need a form-to-email processing script. Preferably one which conceals your e-mail address from harvesters and has built-in spam prevention.
    Contact your web host and ask them if they have one you can use.  Often hosts load scripts on their servers which you can activate through your Admin Panel or by referencing the script in your form's action attribute.
         <form action="path-to-script-on-server/form-to-email-script.php">
    If your host doesn't provide scripts, ask them which server-side languages you can use (php, asp, asp.net, perl, coldfusion, etc...).

  • New Built-in Support for Contact Forms | Adobe Muse Feature Tour | Adobe TV

    Add, customize, and style contact forms directly within Adobe Muse, for sites hosted with the Adobe Business Catalyst service.
    http://adobe.ly/Qh82Bm

    So, now the video has been removed. Is this an indication that some pulled the trigger on the forms too early. That's not such great customer service. One of the reason I decided to go ahead and pay was because this was one of the features I need for a customer site. Of course, I can do this another way but I have been trying to consolidate everything under the Adobe prodict umbrella. What's the deal????????????????

  • New Muse Contact Form Widget

    I was thrilled to discover that the Muse team has created a contact form widget. finaly!!!
    (http://tv.adobe.com/watch/cs6-creative-cloud-feature-tour-for-design/creating-contact-form s-in-adobe-muse/)
    Now I have two questions, in order to get those new widget features I'll probably need to update my version of Muse. right? If so, where can I do it?
    Second thing, in the linked video the man mentioned that these options are only avilable for those who publish there websites through Business
    Catalyst. Is it the truth? if it is this is so upsetting!!!
    Although I am working on my first site with Muse so I'm able to publish it with BC for free, but it is an outrage! as a person who bought only Adobe Muse (and
    not Creative Cloud pack) I was going to publish all of my sites on third-party server!
    I am now wondering is there a way to do something about that? Is there a way to make the wonderful new widget work on any published site?
    Thanks in advance (-:

    Hello,
    Yes, this feature is coming in the new beta of Muse which will be released soon. I'll be posting instructions for participating in the Muse beta shortly.
    In regards to the functionality of the upcoming contact forms feature, Zak clarified this will only work with Business Catalyst in the following thread:
    Form widget
    http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1040950
    ...the form functionality coming in 2.0 it targeted primarily at contact forms. If you have "quite a large form" then you will likely still want/need to use a different solution.
    The new form functionality uses standard HTML/CSS for the form, but form processing requires integration with server-side code. What will be part of Muse 2.0 works with Adobe Business Catalyst. In order to use the form with some other back-end server solution, the code output from Muse would have to be altered.
    Best regards,
    Corey
