After installing Mountain Lion, my Contacts and Reminders apps will not start. I keep getting long error logs to upload to apple.

Figured it out. Reinstalled Mountain Lion.

Calendar, Contacts, and Reminders do not recognize valid accounts

I have had this problem ever since I moved from MobileMe to iCloud. I have valid email accounts that I can send and receive mail to/from with no problem. When I bring up iCal, Contacts, or Reminders I get a message telling me to provide the password for one of the email accounts. It returns an error saying the login is invalid. HOWEVER, there is nothing wrong with the login information in the account description. It works fine with Mail. I deleted the account and re-added it and Mail found the server account no problem. But iCal, Contacts, and Reminders say that they cannot validate the account against the server.
What server are these apps trying to connect to? What is different about how mail uses the account info as opposed to iCal, Contacts, and Reminders? And why do these apps recognize my other accounts but not this one in particular, even though they are set up identically in every way?

They are different servers, that is the difference.
Change the password for whichever account is referenced when this happens "I get a message telling me to provide the password for one of the email accounts. It returns an error saying the login is invalid.

Why are my contacts and reminders being duplicated to another iphone in my house?

I bought two iphones yesterday and was putting in my contacts. When I saved each one on my phone, the contact saved on my partners new phone too. Obviously we have different contacts and don't want each others. Is there something I need to turn off or change to stop this happening. Any help would be much appreciated!

Sounds like you may be trying to use the same iCloud account on both phones. Each phone should have its own iCloud account to avoid actions taken on one phone being replicated on the other. If you set up the iCloud accounts using the same Apple ID on both phones, on one of the phones do the following:
Go to Settings>iCloud and turn off each of the synced services (contacts, calendars, etc.), when prompted choose to keep the data on the phone.
When finished, scroll to the bottom and click Delete Account. (This deletes the iCloud account from this phone only.)
Set up a new iCloud account using a different Apple ID and turn syncing back on for contacts, etc.
You will have to manually delete the unwanted contacts from each phone but once this is done you should no longer have any "cross-contamination".

My Setting, Contacts and reminders has stopped working. I am on IOS5

Why are my contacts and reminders and photos syncing between me and my boyfriends phone, as well as my macbook air? How do I make this stop? I've already deleted Icloud backups on itunes but that didn't help because we still seem to be synced. Help.

Well in the iPhone and the iPad in the Settings in the iCloud section, there is an Apple ID associated with the device. And in the MacBook Air there is (or can be) an Apple ID associated with the account.
In the iPhone and iPad in the same settings panel you select what gets synced with the cloud.
I'm guessing that your devices and your boyfriend's are set up with the same Apple ID and the switches to sync are set? I'm not an expert but that is what I'd look at first. You need to have a separate Apple ID from your boyfriend or turn syncing off if you don't want that to happen I think.

Contact the Apple account security team and get their assistance resetting the password: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699. Once the password is reset, the other party will no longer have access to your iCloud account. Then you can go to icloud.com and delete the other person's data from your account.

ICloud 3.1 only syncs Outlook Mail, not Calendars, Contacts or Reminders

When I launch iCloud 3.1 on my Win8.1 PC, the program shows Outlook Mail, Calendars, Contacts and Reminders as an option until iCloud completes loading. When it completes loading, it only shows Mail as an option. The other 3 disappear from the window. My iCloud syncs with Outlook 2013 mail perfectly. The other items don't sync. Can anybody help me?

Same here. I don't mind having my personal appts in the company outlook calendar, but do not want my email sitting in Outlook and on the the company servers.

HI! Today I lost contacts, notes and reminders on my iPhone. I checked on my iCloud account and everything is there, then I checked iCloud settings on my iPhone and all options are off except for Find My iPhone. I did not turn on everything because I am worried that I could lose information on iCloud. How can I restore my contacts, notes and reminders to my iPhone from my iCloud account?

How can I get missing contacts, notes, calendar dates and reminders that are just on my old iphone onto the iCloud for transfer to my new iPhone upgrade? Half of my contacts, notes, ect. were on my iCloud so have happily moved to my new iPhone but the rest are completely resistant. For example, on my iCloud I have 14 missing contacts starting with the letter A alone, however they are happily viewable on my old iPhone 4S and won't budge over into the iCloud.
There are also 3 notes missing yet still acessible on my onld iPhone 4S, the list goes on.
Your help would be most appreciated. Thank you so much.

My iphone 5 has been deleting my calendar. This is the third time- now it deletes my contacts, notes and reminders as well. Why is it doing this, and how can I restore everything?

My iPhone 5s has been deleting my calendar. First time, just the calendar, then next time the calendar and contacts, then yesterday, calendar, contacts, notes and reminders. The phone is only 6 months old or so and is on iOS 7.1.2 (although I need to update it- but have to do some storage management first...)
I have looked at my calendar in my icloud account and it is a week or so out of date, even though it supposedly backed up from my phone on Friday. I am becoming very frustrated by this. Am I doing something wrong? Advice would be much appreciated. In the past I have deleted my icloud account from my phone and then re-signed in, as well as sharing my calendar with myself to restore it, and it works eventually.

The iphone is designed to be synced to your computer or cloud service. Your contacts should be in whatever program/service you have chosen to sync.
If you have failed to do this, then they are likely gone.

Since installing ios6, my contacts groups are not selectable and reminders is not accurate on the i phone

On reminders, it says 28 but I only have 7. i cloud is accurate.
Anyone having these problems with ios6 on iphone 4? (Verizon)

In case you are using "Clear history when Firefox closes":

Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups and open and closed (undo) tabs to get lost and you will have to recreate them (make a note or bookmark them if possible).

I think a lot of people are getting this. Some solutions with Gmail but v little with Yahoo!

Thanks for your reply.
I have just found out what's wrong. I went to the 'more info' section of my Chitchat application and it took me to a link where it explained that Yahoo Chat has ditched chatting with the Java protocol and chatters can now only chat via the Yahoo Messenger protocol, which is Yahoo Instant Messenger with Voice. Unfortunately Yahoo doesn't provide a platform for Yahoo Voice for Macintosh computers. Though the original link I went to provides another link to a thing called 'Adium' from which a Mac can access Yahoo Chat's new protocol, although it's not fully developed yet.
Oh...and thanks so much for letting me know about the Java update release. I did not know that I have to upgrade my system first to recieve the latest update information.

I would try to delete your account from your device and then add it back again (Settings > iCloud > Delete Account). If this doesn't fix the problem, I would recommend to make a backup and to store all your important filles, and then to proceed with a reset of your device.

I took my daughter's new Iphone 5 to shop and they replaced it with a new one. Today she logged on to my ICloud account and deleted all my contacts and just kept the ones she wanted. Can I retrieve my contacts, please help
