Content action links like Edit, Delete...just disappear

I am facing this unique issue for which I dont seem to find any helpful material.
We are running OracleÂ® Application Server Portal 10g (9.0.4.1) on Linux.
On several occasions and now a days often scenario, the pagegroups page of the Portal Navigator, which displays the action links like Edit, Delete, Export, View...etc just disappears and gives me or any content user no means to perform any action on the page groups or pages. This happens even when logged in as ORCLADMIN.
Attimes the links work/come back if the cache is cleared but this is not always true.
Do help me as this on an overall basis doesnt help maintain this website or its content and seems entirely a wasteful portal option, which I hate to admit at this point.

Do you have one or multiple midtier instances in your environment? I have seen this problem with a multiple machine environment where the Web Cache Invalidation port causes problems on the instances when pages get cached. I ask because you mentioned clearing your cache sometimes helps.

Facebook forms and action links like "untag" do not work in 3.6.8

I upgraded to 3.6.8 last night, and now nothing on Facebook will work. If I try to post a status update or something on a friend's wall, the form doesn't automatically expand upon clicking in the box, and the submit button doesn't work. Also, when I try to untag pictures, the link does nothing. I switched to Safari, and everything works fine. While I love Firefox and have been using it religiously for years, it just seems to get MORE bugs as time goes on, like Flash video players not working correctly sometimes until a full quit-and-reopen in the last version. I love Google, too, but have never bothered to try Chrome... until now. I'm finally going to download it. I'll be back, eventually.

Facebook - Everything works perfectly in Safari but since I upgraded Firefox to 3.6.8, messages don't work, comments, don't work, show all comments buttons don't work etc. Have removed cookies, logged out and back in, etc. problem remains.

Yahoo mail display - Action buttons like reply, delete, forward, and colors do not display. The "clear cache" solution does not help.

The above sums it up. What used to be prompts for action are now small boxes with number and an alphabet letter. I used the "clear the cache" and the "allow pages to use their own font" solutions; neither one worked. This included re-booting after I tried the solution.

Some other users have reported this problem persisting allowing pages to choose their own fonts. Is it possible that you are blocking downloadable fonts? You can check the about:config preferences editor here:
(1) In a new tab, type or paste '''about:config''' in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.
(2) In the search box above the list, type or paste '''gfx''' and pause while the list is filtered
(3) If the '''gfx.downloadable_fonts.enabled''' preference is bold and user set to false, double-click it to restore the default value of true.

Using local file links like file://n:/path/filename.txt in Announcements does not work

Hi all,
I would like to use the SharePoint 2013 announcement web part for our company intranet. Basically this works fine. Now and then we have the need to include local file links into the body of the announcement, e.g. "Read this new Version of
file x: link". When creating a new announcement I can insert a link like this:
file:///n:/path/file.docx or similar.
But as soon as I save the new announcement, the link is gone (href part is removed from the anchor).
Is this behaviour per design? Can I change it to allow local file links inside of list columns?

Hi Nothi,
We can go to that particular existing announcement list(e.g. mine is Announcement1)->list settings page.
1. then make sure the option "Allow management of content types? " is enabled from Advanced settings.
2. then click "Annoucement" content type link (like image below).
3. then click "Body" column link.
4. then click "Edit column" link.
5. then select "Rich text" option as above image showed, save the change.
6. then you can test again in this particular announcement list, it should work.
If you want make all announcement type lists could use link to network location in the furure, you can create a custom announcement content type with the Body column which has enabled this "Rich text" option, then use this
custom announcement content type for those lists.

How to enable Edit/Delete Discussion Forum?

Hi,
I have added 'Discussion Forums' task flow to a JSF page. When I run the page, I dont see 'Edit Forum', 'Delete Forum' etc.
It only shows 'Back to Forum List' and 'Create Topic'. How to enable icons like Edit, Delete?

I've wondered about this issue as well. I have multiple email accounts, some old ones that I don't use much, others setup for support of particular projects/groups.
I have no idea how and/or why some notes are linked to a particular account.
I'd much prefer to have the ability to link all of them to an account of my choosing, thus when emailing from a note tied to a specific email account, that account would automatically be used to perform that email.
But more importantly, why can't we be allowed to create 'folders' that function the same way as the Finder on my Mac. This file structure could then be accessed by every iOS app and device.
This type of file structure would be a god-send for the camera roll on my phone. I HATE having all my pictures in one huge clump (cloud?)! After all, who wants to live under a cloud all the time?

Change / Delete action link & Printing in WDA

Q1. In one of my ALV table column i need to put link like this ' "Change" / "Display" '. Means in 1 column 2 Action LInk one is Change the other will be display. If user press on Change it will open another view in edit mode if user press on delete it will open the view in display mode.Also please tell what will be the domain of that field in the structure.
Q2. Need a print button at the top of all the pages in my application with printing functionality. I am not sure it is psible in WDA or not. In few threads i read that we can achieve this using BSP & java scripting not with WDA.
Can anyone please help me on this.

Q1. You can't add two cell editors to the same column. You will need to make these two separate columns.

You don't need any field at all. You can add a column to the ALV output that doesn't exist in the underlying data dictionary structure.
Q2. Not currently possible. There is print functionality in the ALV that uses the Adobe Document Services to output a PDF for printing of just the ALV content. You can use the Print functionality in the browser itself. SAP is currently developing print functionality like you describe targeted for possible inclusion in NetWeaver 7.02 (future features are always subject to change however).

Content retrieved through RIDC after add/edit/delete is not updated

There is a functionality such that a user is shown the content details like folder name and content under the folder name to be displayed on the portal.
Basically, the metadata of the folder and content need to be displayed and add/edit/delete operations need to be available for the user.
So any updates performed on the UCM content from the portal need to be updated on the UCM.
To enable this functionality made use of the RIDC API. Everything as to content display, add/edit/delete operations are all working fine and getting updated on the UCM front also.
But the issue is that after these operations being performed the user needs to be displayed updated content information on the portal. But while trying to retrieve the results using SEARCH RIDC Service, results are fetching the old data and hence the content information displayed on the page is also stale.
While trying to hit the URL again i.e. a new request then the updated contents get dispalyed.
Can anybody tell me what could be the issue? I am unable to understand the issue.
All this has been done using taskflows.

Hi ,
Most probably the content is not indexed in the interval when it is updated and then retrieved with search call . As a test , recreate the issue and then open UCM Web UI - Content Information (of the content updated / searched ) - check the Status value for the latest revision .
Most likely it will be in Done status (if no conversion is being used) .
Second time when you the actual correct data shows up then check the Status and there it would be in Released status .
I believe that you are trying to search / display the content even before the new version is indexed and made available for search .

On an iPad with iTunes, do you know if you can edit/delete all your tunes on your device with a "clear all" button rather than having to delete a song one by one like you have to do on an iPhone if not synching via a MacBook/ PC with iTunes account?

I'm signed up to the Cloud and itunes match - the whole game. But I cam getting annoyed with having to delete songs one by one on my iPhone once dowloaded from the cloud as I only have a 16GB phone....yes I listen to music non-stop! So, I am thinking about getting an iPAD as I rarely use my MacBook Pro for anything other than surfing and music now... so the question is: "On an iPad with iTunes, do you know if you can edit/delete all your tunes on your device with a "clear all" button rather than having to delete a song one by one like you have to do on an iPhone (if not synching via a MacBook/ PC with iTunes account where I know you can clear down and refill with ease)????

Type the word with erroneous spelling.
Right click the word and choose 'Unlearn Spelling".

Contacts delete just like that

Hey, I have iphone 5 and all my contacts delete again and again, every time that I pot contact he just disappear! I had this problem with my last iphone and I replace the iphone 4s to iphone 5 because I didn't succeed to solve the problem.. I already tried everything and I really don't know what to do anymore... Great tip on typing "rset" to deleted your BB contacts. My issue is that I duplicated contacts after syncing my Curve with the BB Desktop Manager for Mac. On my Curve, I have 2 address books on my BB. Using the desktop manager, I deleted all my contacts. I then did the "rset' on my BB for good measure. So my BB now shows 2 address books that are both empty. And if I open up either 1 then it shows as empty, too. However, if I show "all address books" then I have all the contacts still there.
How do I get rid of them? I've already deleted them manually twice and am tired of doing that for 900+ contacts.
Any way I can delete these contacts on my BB that the desktop manager doesn't see?

Hmmmm.
At the very least there must be a "com.apple.ical.plist"...iCal would not function without it.
Click on the Finder icon in the dock
Click on Go > Home
Double-click Library
Double-click Preferences
Look for a file called "com.apple.ical.plist" and remove it to the trash.

Action links in JEditorPane like in Eclipse Editor

Hi! I'm desperately looking for help on this topic:
How to display a sort of link in a JEditorPane whose action is not to open a browser page but to display something in another JEditorPane?
I think it must be the same type of action as in Eclipse Editor, where you can control-click on a function name and instantly see its declaration.

Problem is I need to pass the values of the prompts on the dashboard so that the analysis I navigate to is automatically filtered. This happens automatically with action links.
For Example:
Dashboard prompt: Category: Open
Narrative Report
# of Items 4
Clicking on 4 should navigate to a list report that shows the 4 # of items
