Control process flow from Business Rules

hi
i would wish to control the process flow in BPEL by using Business Rules(based on conditions) rather than using Switch. how can i accomplish this? please do help me in this.

what do you mean with control the process flow? Do you mean to destine which partner link is called? Or just make some decissions through the business rules and use a switch afterwards....
If you are talking about controlling the partner link to be called, then you should have a look at the chapter three of the cookbook
http://www.oracle.com/technology/pub/articles/bpel_cookbook/carey.html
You could use the outcome of the business rule to make a decission which endpoint reference to use. Perhapes even return the endpoint reference from the business rule...

  • How to setup PCG Flow Rule Process flow with Business Event subscription

    Hi,
    How to setup PCG Flow Rule Process flow with Business Event subscription type?
    When should Business Events be used?
    The latest user guide does not provide ay information on this functionality of Flow rules.
    Thanks

    You should find it's usage noted in the new PCG user guide on page 3-26 under the heading "Configuring Workflow/Event Rules". This way you can have a Flow Rule call a business event component or a workflow. This would be kicked off within a process flow as one of the steps.
    I hope that helps.

    Hi Kamal and kanakam kolla,
    This is just to let you know that,I solved my problem little differently by creating a new location and deployed the process flow.Now my process flow is working fine when i call from the shell script.What i see is that, it does not update properly when we update and redeploy the process flow.So far this is the work arround i could think off and i succesfully tested this.
    Thank you Kamal and kanakam kolla,for giving a thought towards my problem.
    Thanks

  • Job Schedular status running after killing process flow from OWF monitor

    Hi,
    PROBLEM SCENARIO:
    Scheuled job called 'TEST' kicks off process flow called 'Child_load' under 'Parent_load_all' and gets stuck. I go into OWF (ORACLE WORK FLOW MONIOTOR) and kill both the process flows and then complete the Process flow run manually from OWB. Now, next day the scheduled job 'TEST' should execute 'Parent load all', but it doesn't do that instead it shows 'TEST' in 'Running' STATUS from yesterday when I see it in toad under Sched.Jobs. I have to drop the scheduled job and redeploy it from OWB in order for it to work.
    Any idea why its doing that?
    Thanks in advance.

    hello
    the status of the scheduled job should be 'running'
    here is what i received from oracle support on that matter:
    A scheduled job is always in BUSY status, till the moment it is stopped in the Control Center Manager.
    If you open the Control Center Manager, goto the Location and expand the plus "+" in front of Scheduled Jobs. There should be your job DLOAD_JOB.
    On the right bottom appears the dialog Control Center Jobs. And there is a tab "Scheduled". Click on that tab and you should see a green arrow in front of the job DLOAD_JOB. This means the job is running. (In fact it is not running but waiting to be executed again according scheduled time)
    To stop the job to run according schedule, you can right-click on the job and choose "Stop". The green arrow will disappear and the status in the Repository Browser will be "Completed"
    To start the job again, you can right-click on the job and choose "Start". The green arrow will appear again and the status in the Repository Browser will be "Busy"
    so according to this the scheduler job should be in status running;
    why it does not trigger your processes however is another thing;

    Hi,
    I've had a go.
    How should I interpret the results of list_requests:

    ====================
    EXECUTIONS
    ====================
    Er zijn geen rijen geselecteerd.
    owner_owr@ORKDEV01>
    Whilst a process flow is executing the last query will list executions, all of which have status BUSY:
    owner_owr@ORKDEV01> @list_requests
    ====================
    DEPLOYMENTS
    ====================
    Audit ID Status Name Date Owner

    owner_owr@ORKDEV01>
    As an aside, I will attempt to get rid of the READY deployment and deployment unit using deactive_deployment.sql
    Now, if I attempt to use deactivate_execution.sql on any of the executions with status BUSY I get:
    owner_owr@ORKDEV01> @deactivate_execution

    ORA-06512: at "OWNER_OWR.WB_RT_EXECUTION", line 90
    ORA-06512: at line 4
    owner_owr@ORKDEV01>
    So all the seems to remain is to use abort_exec_request.sql
    This does the job, but the script itself hangs.
    I think it has to do with the l_stream_id not being checked again after the initial IF. I think it should probably be part of the loop condition as it is again reset in the do_acks inside the loop.

  • Error in installing process chain from Business Content.

    Dear Experts,
    I have successfully installed the Technical Content from Business Content and now trying to install Content Master Data process chain for info package for the same but its showing error.

  • Confirmation Control Process Flow

    My Dear Gurus,
    I want to know the actual confirmation control process in material manangement. Becoz of one of my client having the following scenerios.
    PO is created only by PR reference with confirmation tab enabling in po. Once he created the PO again he come back to change mode in PO and enable the confimation control (0001) and the confirmation category as AB.
    Once the vendor is received the PO and the delivery date is accepted by vendor and he manually over phone tell the final delivery date.
    So our client wants to update the final delivery date given by vendor.
    My question is either he need to do *the inbound delivery through VL31N* then only do the MIGO (GR) or directly without doing VL31N do the MIGO transaction.
    Kindly xplain process flow for the above case.
    Regards,
    Vimal

    You can define and do the required confirmation control key under
    SPRO -- > Materials Management --> Purchasing --> Confirmation .
    Confirmation control Key "AB"  is  refers to Order Acknowledgement.
    Based on configuration under " Set up Confirmation Control " system decides whether only Order Acknowledgement is required or subsequent operation is required prior to GR.
    Suppose " Inbound Delivery is required" then one need to do Inbound delivery under VL31N.
    Then GR. You can remove the inbound delivery steps by making blank key  under Confirmation tab.

  • Running process flow from sqlplus

    hi everyone,
    using sqlplus_exec_template.sql to run process flow.
    but message keeps appearing that task is not found
    I have an oracle workflow repository on another server.
    what should I use as parameters?
    for example location name?
    thank you
    owen veeneman

    Hi
    If you can create the Process Flow code, you can deploy and execute from SQLPLUS as follows.
    1. First you have to compile the package from SQLPLUS into you target get schema. For example. SQL>@c:\package.pls.
    2. Then find out the prarmeter from function main of the package. Write a simple code as follows and run it from SQL. Just substitute whatever applicable to you.
    declare
    V_PROCESS_CODE           VARCHAR2(10);
    V_FREQUENCY_CODE     VARCHAR2(1);
    V_RETCODE                NUMBER(10);
    V_WB_RT                WB_RT_MAPAUDIT.WB_RT_NAME_VALUES;
    begin
    V_PROCESS_CODE := 'CF_SUMM’;
    V_FREQUENCY_CODE := 'D';
    v_retcode := DM_CASHFLOW_SUMM_MAP.main(V_PROCESS_CODE, V_FREQUENCY_CODE, V_WB_RT);
    dbms_output.put_line(v_retcode || ' Retcode.');
    end;

  • Need to control demand flow from APO system in the R/3

    HI Gurus,
    Kindly help me control the demand flow from APO system in the R/3.
    We want to change the timeline where demands coming from APO are given back to APW. The idea is to have a control table in APW where we can set a number of days or weeks by sales org / customer number. Within this number of days / weeks, no demand should be created / updated from APO system.
    Kindly advise the possible solutions to control Demand in R/3 flowing from APO.

  • How to call OWB Process Flow from APEX?

    Hello.
    I was wondering if there is a way that I can have a OWB process flow kick off from a button in APEX? I know you can have APEX perform PL/SQL upon being clicked, so I am wondering if there is a way that I can do the same for a process flow? We are looking to have a manual kick off for a job and we are trying to use APEX for this. Any information would be great!
    Thank you

    Hi,
    Using SOAP ?if there is a way ... please provide some examples.
    I finished my EDQ process, and now i am trying to find how to call it from APEX

    Check this blog post here that shows how to execute via sqlplus, which you will then be able to wrapper in a batch script or whatever to schedule.

  • Running Maxl from business rule

    Hi,
    We have very large BSO cube and we decided to create ASO for aggregation purposes.
    We were thinking of running the replicate partition with Maxl, but we want to do it at the end of every business rule.
    In order to do it we want to have the possibility to run Maxl from the BR. We heard that there is a way to do so, but we couldn't find guide / tutorial / any other thing that will give the proper explanation.
    We are working with 11.1.2.2
    Can someone help?

  • Security removed from business rules

    Hi,
    The business rules for an application stopped working with an error it could not be validated against the database. I looked on this thread
    Error validating business rule
    The security was no longer present. The business rules had not been imported. I added it back in and things started working. I would like to know why the security was lost as I have not seen this before.
    Thanks,
    Nathan

    Has it only every happened once and on one rule? If so I am not sure if you will get a definitive answer to why the rule has no security.
