Controlling separate, freestanding swfs (not loaded parent/child swfs)

I have a flash file with buttons and actions and 2 flash files with animations. I want to control both animation files with the one 'controler' file, at the same time.
Note: these are separate swf/exe/app files and will run individually from the desktop, not be loaded into an swf and run online.
How can I access the timeline of these separate files to control them?
Thanks

  • Load Parent-Child dimension with attributes by rule file

    Well, I've cracked my head open while banging against this wall.
    Task is plain & simple:
    How can I load build dimension from such table, using rule file?
    Data
    ProductParent ProductChild ProductAttribute
    Balls Ball_8 Round
    I want to load both product dimension and attribute by single rule file (neither of these dimensions exists in database before load), so I do the following:
    1) Set dimension build settings, creating dimension Products (marking it P\C generated, sparse), having an attribute dimension AttributeDim
    2) Mark the fields as Parent, Child and AttributeDim of dimension Products
    After loading rule file a get three types of errors:
    a) "Base member (Balls) association level does not match base dimension association level" -- does this mean that I cannot assign attributes in P\C way?
    b) "Record #327 - Can not uniquely identify member by Balls (3335)
    Balls     Ball_8     Round" -- That's strange, I thought member should be identified by Ball_8 (and this column is unique)
    c) "\\Record #418 - Error in association transaction [Ball_8] to [Round] (3362)"
    I've read all I could find on topic from this forum, network45 board and going to start my way through metalink3, but maybe some kind soul will rescue me from drowning in information ocean?

    Hi,
    Outline is blank at the start of load and I expect dimensions Product and ProdAttribute to be added.
    Generations are unapplicable, since I can't turn this parent-child dimension (it's ragged) into generation one.
    And, by the way Integration Services manages to do this somehow, why rule files wouldn't?

  • Options for loading parent-child SQL 2005 tables

    I was reading about a few examples of using Table types and a stored procedure to load tables that are joined by a foreign key (parent-child).  Seems straight forward enough.  However, that requires at least SQL 2008 and the system we are using
    is on 2005 still for the time being. As much as I would like to upgrade, there is no time for it, even though we have other 2008 and 2012 instances.  So with that said, what are my options for getting data from BTS to SQL where the destination is 2 tables
    that have relations.
    There are probably a dozen or more, but my first thought is a stored procedure with an xml parameter, then use xquery and xpath statements to pull the data out and insert.  TRY/CATCH and RAISEERROR to return error codes back to the BTS application.
    Thoughts?

    First, how many records are you dealing with?  I don't even think of terms of 'bulk' until 10,000 or so.  And once that threshold is crossed, the first tool out of the box is SSIS.
    Second, are you debatching or is there a triple confirmed requirement that all records be loaded in a single transaction?
    Finally, the 'DB round-trip' issue is often misunderstood in real world settings.  In a typical db transaction, the most expensive operation is establishing the connection.  Once that's done, the SQL Client is very efficient in transporting data
    to and from the database.  Since the wcfSqlBinding uses a Connection Pool, that setup is only done once to some high-water mark.
    Consider, the data has to be sent no matter what and in every conseivable scneario*, the byte count of a stored procedure over TDS would be less than sending the same data wrapped in Xml.  The network adds considerable latency to the conversation.
    This is why I'm skeptical of using OPENXML() without a provable benefit.
    So, don't get caught up in theoritical 'performance' issues without understanding the entire scenario first.
    *SQL Code being the primary exception.

  • Application Server Control Panel page will not load

    I am new to Oracle Application Server and need some assistance to determine why the Application Server Control Page will not load after entering the username/password for ias_admin. I have just installed Oracle Application Server 10g (10.1.2) on Redhat Linux.
    The Listener and the Repository Database are up. I have successfully started the processes for the OracleAS Infrastructure instance with:
    $ORACLE_HOME/opmn/bin/opmnctl startall
    I have successfully started the OracleAS Console with:
    $ORACLE_HOME/bin/emctl start iasconsole
    I ran "emctl status iasconsole" and received:
    http://localhost.localdomain:1810/emd/console/aboutApplication
    Oracle Enterprise Manager 10g Application Server Control is running
    Logs are generated in Directory ...../sysman/log
    I ran "opmnctl status" and received:
    Process in Instance: oraappserv1.localhost.localdomain
    ias component process type pid status
    LogLoader logloader N/A Down
    DSA DSA N/A Down
    dcm-daemon dcm-daemon 0 None
    HTTP_Server HTTP_Server 6180 Alive
    OC4J OC4J_SECURITY N/A Down
    OID OID 6199 Alive
    I can bring up the "Welcome to Oracle Application Server 10g Release 2 (10.1.2)" web page successfully with "http//<host>:7777".
    My problem arises after I click on the link for " log on to Oracle Enterprise Manager 10g Application Server Control". I enter the username/pwd for ias_admin and then progress bar on the status bar of the browser goes so far and stops. The Application Server Page will not render.
    Can someone point me into the direction of what to check, whether its an enviromental setting for linux or a configuration issue with the Application Server?
    note: that the status bar for the browser shows "shortcut to localhost.local domain" when highlighting the link " log on to Oracle Enterprise Manager 10g Application Server Control". This is different than <host> specified in the URL to render the welcome page. I would't think this to be an issue because the login screen came up and it also appears in the results of the emctl status iasconsole and opmnctl status commands.
    Thanks in advance for your assistance.

    Emilio, note implies emagent core dumps. If that is the case emctl would (hopefully) not return status "ok".
    Here is my output with sysman oc4j running but emagent gone (AS 9.0.4):
    $ emctl status iasconsole
    Oracle Enterprise Manager 10g Application Server Control 9.0.4.1.0
    Copyright (c) 1996, 2004 Oracle Corporation. All rights reserved.
    EM Daemon is not running.
    Also, if you login to AS Control does it redirect browser to http://localhost.localdomain/... ?

  • Parent-child hierarchy and fragmentation content

    Hello,
    I've tried to build simple model with OBIEE 11 using Oracle 11r2 as a data source. BMM has fragmentation content for fact table and few dimensions with different hierarchy types. It works fine with all hierarchy types except for parent child.
    When I build an answer with parent child hierarchy it terminates with error "Target data source does not support the operation".
    Does OBIEE 11 not support parent child with fragmentation content? Or am I missing something?
    Greetings
    Marcin

    I'm seeing the same issue. I've created a parent-child hierarchy along with two normal level-based hierarchies (one "normal", one skipped-level). The two level-based hierarchies work just fine in Answers. I can include them in the criteria, and data is displayed with the correct drilldowns.
    If I include the parent-child hierarchy, I get the same results as noted in the original post: "The layout of this view combined with the data, selections, or drills, or prompt values chosen, resulted in no data." I'm trying to look at the table view, with no filters.
    Interestingly, I can explicitly include that dimension's Parent column and Member column in the criteria, and data is displayed just fine.
    Here is the XML for the set of criteria that includes the separate Parent and Member columns (the one that works):
    SELECT s_0, s_1, s_2, s_3, s_4, s_5, s_6, s_7, s_8, s_9, s_10, s_11 FROM (

    Warbler

    Given that so many things are funky, I'd suspect that one or both of the following is occurring:
    1) Your Logic Pro application/installation is corrupt. Logic is failing loading control surface modules which should be in the application bundle. Reinstall.
    2) You have an incompatibility between Logic and the necessary system frameworks because Logic is too old/your system/OS is too new. You can't expect to hold back on an old version of an application and press forward with the OS (or vice versa) forever - eventually, something will break, and you'll have a large leap to get things working again.
    It's probably better to stay on the update train unless there is a specific reason to get off, or at least, freeze your computer/OS version at the same tim as you freeze your application.

    "AppCleaner" is just as useless as "Cocktail," or perhaps worse.
    Any third-party software that doesn't install by drag-and-drop into the Applications folder, and uninstall by drag-and-drop to the Trash, is a system modification.
    Whenever you remove system modifications, they must be removed completely, and the only way to do that is to use the uninstallation tool, if any, provided by the developers, or to follow their instructions. If the software has been incompletely removed, you may have to re-download or even reinstall it in order to finish the job.
    Here are some general guidelines. Suppose you want to remove something called “BrickYourMac.” First, consult the product's Help menu, if there is one, for instructions. Finding none there, look on the developer's website, say www.brickyourmac.com. (That may not be the actual name of the site; if necessary, search the Web for the product name.) If you don’t find anything on the website or in your search, contact the developer. While you're waiting for a response, download BrickYourMac.dmg and open it. There may be an application in there such as “Uninstall BrickYourMac.” If not, open “BrickYourMac.pkg” and look for an Uninstall button.
    You may have to log out or reboot in order to complete an uninstallation.
    If you can’t remove software in any other way, you’ll have to erase your boot volume and perform a clean reinstallation of OS X. Never install any third-party software unless you're sure you know how to uninstall it; otherwise you may create problems that are very hard to solve.
    Trying to remove complex system modifications by hunting for files by name often will not work and may make the problem worse. The same goes for "utilities" that purport to remove software.

  • Parent-child dimensions limitations

    Hi eb
    It is very convinient to develop complex heirarchized dimensions as parent-child especialy when they retain historical
    changes in members.
    I know one reason to not using such dimensions when they contain some 200,000 members or more due to performance issues (no aggregations on parent attributes???).
    Are there any other reasons to not using parent-child heirarchies in ssas MD cubes???
    TIA!
    Rea

    Hi reapeleg,
    According to your description, you want to know weakness of using parent-child dimension. Right?
    In Analysis Services, a parent-child dimension is distinguished by fact that it contains a hierarchy based on a recursive relationship. So it can only cause some performance problem. But the main reason of using a parent-child dimension
    or not depends on the relationship between the attributes in your dimension. And there's workaround for the performance issue. Please see:

  • Dynamic Security in a denormalized Parent-Child dimension Table

    Hi guys, I need your priceless help again:
    I have a parent child relationship in a table with a fixed depth, let´s say Region-->Area-->Country
    I denormalized the table to have something like this
    Then, to implement dynamic security, I think in a bridge table with the userId
    and the CountryId, then with a measure group and a measure which count the combination of user/country I can proof the security using the non empty function.
    My question is how can I also set security for the levels above the leaf members, let´s say, I want to assign an user to the Area level or Region Level. I don't know exactly which key could I include in the bridge table.
    I may want to keep the id´s of the original table in the different levels.
    Any comment will be appreciated.
    Kind Regards,

    Hi Paul,
    According to your description, you want to apply dynamic security on parent-child hierarchy. Right?
    In Analysis Services, when a dimension contains a parent-child hierarchy, we can't set up security directly on the key attribute. Because it will not appear on the dropdown list of Dimension Data Security in Role editor.
    In this scenario, we need to filter on key attribute and not the parent-child hierarchy. Then use Linkmember() to find the equivalent members on the parent-child hierarchy. Please refer to the expression below based on a employee dimension with parent-child
    hierarchy.
    Generate(
     NonEmpty(
      [Employee].[Employee].[Employee].Members,
       [Measures].[Employee Count],
       StrToMember('[User].[User].[' + UserName() + ']')
                 LinkMember(
                     [Employee].[Employee].CurrentMember,
                     [Employee].[Employees]
    Also I suggest an excellent book:
    Expert Cube Development with Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Analysis Services. It talks about this scenario in chap 9.

  • Xcelsius Parent/Child SWF Loader with BICS Connections

    We have several Xcelsius Dashboards that use BICS connections to retrieve data from BW queries that we'd like to combine into one Parent/Child tabbed dashboard. I can't seem to find solid information on if this is possible using a SWF Loader component due to the BICS requirement of being published through BW Portal and not InfoView. Does anyone have any ideas (short of combining them into one huge dashboard due to the volume of data)? Thanks!

    Hi Chris,
    I have been working with SWF loader on the SAP portal using the BICS connection type. It was not supported last time I asked about a year ago. However, it can work if you specify the URL in the SWF loader in this way:
    http://sapwebdisp.vestas.net:8103/bicsremotebex?SWF=XXX&TIMESTMP=1318867468000
    XXX is the name you publish your child dashboard under. Data can be exchanged between the parent and child dashboard by using the custom component "Data sharer" from Inovista which can be downloaded for free:
    http://www.inovista.com
    Besides the fact that this setup is unsupported there are some limitations so from my point of view it should only be applied under the following conditions:
    1. It is not possible to build eveything into a single dashboard.
    2. A solution having several independent dashboards does not make sense.
    An alternative might be the setup described in note 1526291. The way I understand it, it binds the dashboards together in a similar way as on a BO server with flash variables.

    Michael

  • Loading to Parent -Child Tables simultaneously

    I have a requirement to populate parent-child tables in a single interface simultaneoulsy. I couldnt find anyway to add multiple targets and am wondering why this key feature is absent in ODI. The same thing is easily achievable in BPEL.
    Could some one please advice a work around for this.
    Your help is much appreaciated

    ODI 11g does come with a new IKM 'IKM Oracle Multi Table Insert'. This does allow multi table inserts, but will require more than one interface.
    Oracle Multi-Table Inserts
    A new Integration KM for Oracle allows populating several target tables from a single source, reading the data only once. It uses the INSERT ALL statement.
    COMPONENT NAME: IKM Oracle Multi Table Insert
    COMPONENT VERSION: 11.1.2.4
    AUTHOR: Oracle
    COMPATIBILITY: ODI 11.1.1.3 and above
    DESCRIPTION:
         - Integrates data from one source into one to many Oracle target tables in append mode, using a multi-table insert statement (MTI).
    REQUIREMENTS:
         - Oracle Database 9iR1 or above
         - See BASIC CONFIGURATION section
    BASIC CONFIGURATION
         - This IKM must be used in integration interfaces that are sequenced in a Package:
              - The first interface of the Package must have a temporary target and the KM option DEFINE_QUERY set to YES.
              This first interface defines the structure of the SELECT clause of the multi-table insert statement (that is the source flow).
              - Subsequent integration interfaces must source from this temporary datastore and have the KM option IS_TARGET_TABLE set to YES.
              - The last interface of the Package must have the KM option EXECUTE set to YES in order to run the multi-table insert statement.
              - Do not set "Use Temporary Interface as Derived Table(Sub-Select)" set to true on any of the interfaces.
         - If large amounts of data are appended, consider to set the KM option OPTIMIZER_HINT to /*+ APPEND */.
    OPTIONS (Refer to the Option descriptions for more information on each option)
         - DEFINE_QUERY: Set to Yes if this interface describes the source query (SELECT clause of the statement). This interface must have a temporary target.
         - IS_TARGET_TABLE: Set to Yes this interface using the source query to load one of the target tables. This interface must source from an interface with a temporary target using this IKM and having the KM option DEFINE_QUERY set to YES.
         - EXECUTE: Set to Yes for the last interface in the Package. This interface will run the multi-table insert statement.
         - COMMIT: Commit transaction. This applies only to the last interface in the Package.
         - TRUNCATE: Set to Yes to truncate this interface target table.
         - CREATE_TARG_TABLE: Create target table? May only be used on target interfaces, but not on source interfaces (defining the source data).
         - OPTIMIZER_HINT: Hint for the multi-table insert statement.
    RESTRICTIONS:
         - This KM can only be used in integration interfaces that are part of a Package.
         - All source and target datastores need to reside on same data server.
         - Journalized source data is not supported.
         - Temporary indexes are not supported.
         - Flow/static control is not supported.
         - The TRUNCATE option cannot work, if the target table is referenced by another table (foreign key).

  • Parent-Child Apps and Classloading...Wrong load order?

    Ah, everyone's favourite two oracle topics slammed into one. I've been using Oracle's parent-child application deployment for some time, to reasonable success in Oracle App Server 9.0.4. Though screwing about with the classloaders in this way usually fills me with dread, the benefits of developing child apps in isolation from the parent are excellent.
    In general I have always deployed in the following way:
    server.xml
    <application name="msip-app" path="../applications/msip-app.ear" parent="default" start="true" />
    <application name="msip-services" path="../applications/msip-services.ear" parent="msip-app" start="true" />
    default-web-site.xml
    <web-app application="msip-app" name="msip-web" load-on-startup="true" root="/msip" />
    <web-app application="msip-services" name="msip-services" load-on-startup="true" root="/msip-ws" />
    orion-application.xml (parent app)
    <library path="./msip-web/WEB-INF/classes" />
    <library path="./msip-web/WEB-INF/lib" />
    (Note: this generic approach has always worked...)
    Now I am trying to upgrade to oc4j 10.1.3.x, and I seem to be trapped in configuration hell. OC4J now appears to load the child application first, which inevitably screws up the classloader for the parent app. Surely this doesn't make any sense, as the parent app is the dependency and should be started first?!
    I haven't discovered any way to control the load order for apps in the config files; the only workaround is to set the load-on-startup for the child app to "false". This is fine, until I redeploy through Oracle EM, which switches load-on-startup back to true. Again, there doesn't seem to be any way in deployment to control this parameter!
    Why in the heck would oc4j have changed it's load priority for parent child apps? Is there any way to force load order through config? Am I just crazy and no one else has seen this?
    Help.

    Thanks for the reply. Gave that a look, but unfortunately, that link concerns a problem at a lower level than the one I've encountered. A classloading problem alerted me to what I believe is a bigger issue, namely that oc4j appear to be launching my child app before the parent app, and this consistently screws up the initialisation phases for both ear files. This appears to be an explicit decision in the Oracle app loader about which war file (parent or child) to launch first, but for the life of me, I can't find the offending code by decompiling oc4j.
    If it turns out that this intentional, surely this must be a mistake? The parent app is the dependency and must be loaded first! or I missing something big...

  • Swf file not loading over Https(SSL) on Internet Explorer...

    hi ,
    I have a .swf file used in html file and i try to browse using "https(SSL)".it will loads fine in Firefox, but in Internet Explorer wont able to load. When right-clicking it says "movie not loaded".
    even i googling for the same and i got below option but i am still not able to get flash on html page. it will working fine in Internet Explorer,FireFox etc when we use"http".
    1) add headers like "Cache-Control: must-revalidate" or "Cache-Control: max-age=0" or "Cache-Control: no-store" etc
    2) use CrossDomain.xml
    we also able to load swf in https on Internet Explorer but for that we have to do below settings in Internet Explorer browser.
    1) Go to Tools --> Click on Internet Option --> click on Advanced tab --> Now in security section checked mark on "Do not save encrypted pages to disk".
    but above way is not a proper way to resolve the https issue
    Thanks.

    found this within the Adobe forums, seems to solve your issue.
    I would make sure to use the crossdomain file as well.

  • Error loading metadata through parent child method

    Heirarchy
    Project (Dimension)->TotalProjects->Xseries->X1->a
    .........................................................X2->b
    .........................................................X3->c
    Project (Dimension)->TotalProjects->Yseries->Y1->j
    ........................................................Y2->k
    ........................................................Y3->l
    This is my hierarchy of the outline. I am trying to add level 0 projects (d,e,f....). I need to create a rule file which can add about 100 such projects. Can anyone give me an idea how this can be done. I tried doing this with parent child method and it showed an error - "Member E not found in the database" Well thats what I am trying to load in the database. Based on above hierarchy, can anyone show me a sample structure of how loadfile should be arranged.

    Well.. The issue was resolved. The clue was right there in my message - "Unable to find the member !!" This typically happens when you try to do a dataload for a member which does not exist.
    I wasn't selecting "Build Only" when locating the load/rule files. Bummer !!
