Conversion application

I subscribed to the $19.99 per year conversion application. I cannot find where to sign in so I can convert pdf documents to docx to fill them in. Each time I click on "Tools" it says I have used my limit of FREE conversions. The $19.99 plust tax have been charged to my credit card. How do I sign in each time to use the pdf to docx conversion feature?
Thanks.

  • Best conversion application (temperature, currency, speed etc)

    What is the best conversion application (temperature, currency, speed etc) that you have found???
    Also it is not something that comes with the iPhone 3g right now is it?

    I can't speak for what is "best", unless someone wants to give me an unlocked iPhone 3G and ship it across the border to me under cover of darkness. But you should look at what's listed here in terms of iPhone apps and see what you like"

  • Please help with my Temperature Conversion application

    here's my code that compiles OK:
    BUT, I want the application to return a value of type int, not float, how do I do this, and why?
    thanks
    public class TemperateConversion {
    public static void main (String [] args) {
    double a;
    double b;
    int C=100;
    int F=212;
    a = (double)5./9. * (F-32.0);
    b = (double)9./5. * C + 32.0;
    System.out.println (b + " degrees Fahrenheit is equal to " + a + " Celsius");
    System.out.println (a + " degrees Celsius is equal to " + b + " Fahrenheit");

    hey, this can be done easily by casting the double to int
    public class TemperatureConversion {
    public static void main (String [] args) {
    double a;
    double b;
    int C=100;
    int F=212;
    a = (double)5./9. * (F-32.0);
    b = (double)9./5. * C + 32.0;
    System.out.println (b + " degrees Fahrenheit is equal to " + (int)a + " Celsius");
    System.out.println (a + " degrees Celsius is equal to " + (int)b + " Fahrenheit");

  • Problem in XML to ITAB conversion - Application server files

    Hi Friends
    Earlier we used FTP concept, so I received XML file and length frpm FTP function modules, but now instead of FTP I am going to use the following function modules
    SCMS_BINARY_TO_XSTRING
    SMUM_XML_PARSE
    for that I need to pass the lenght of the file.But I dont know how to calculate the file length while receiving the files using Open Dateset concept.
    Kindly provide your inputs.
    Thanks

    Could you please tell us how you solve it?

  • I am running an Applescript to determine if an application exists and receiving an error related to sandboxing - why

    I am attempting to write a script to do some file conversion when I import files into Aperture using Aperutre's importAcrtionFromVersions event.  Right now I am simply trying to have the script make sure the conversion application exists and I am finding in the Console that I am getting an error saying that a "sandboxed application with pid 27399 attempted to lookup app: Finder but was denied due to sandboxing".  (FYI pid 27399 is Aperture)
    When I run this script on it's own I have no problems. The code being used is
    set theApp to item "Adobe DNG Converter" of folder "Applications" of startup disk
    I have also tried
    if exists file "Adobe DNG Converter" of folder "Applications" of startup disk then
    which also works on its own but doesn't when running from Aperture again because of sandboxing.
    I am not sure if this should be in the Aperture discussion community or somewhere else. I thought because the problem is the result of sandboxing, which is an OS issue that it is more appropriate to be in the OSX community.
    I am running an iMac with OSX 10.8.2 and Aperture version 3.4.3.  Any ideas or resources would be appreciated.

    It looks like your script is targeting the Finder - if Aperture is what is running the script, it will need the proper entitlements to control stuff outside its sandbox.  You might try using the bundle identifier, which is usually the way to go since it can be trapped by a try statement, for example
    try -- test for an application
      application id "com.apple.Safari"
    on error errmess -- doesn't exist
      log errmess
      # whatever
    end try

  • Audio disappears in Streamclip conversion to iMovie08

    I have been using MPEG Streamclip 1.9.2 to convert a .MPG movie clip to a .AVI, so that it can be read into iMovie 08. The problem I'm having is that the audio disappears. Is there an explanation for this, and a work-around? Thanks.

    I have a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T70 digital camera. It uses MPEG VX Fine Movies: 640x480 w/ audio at 30fps.
    Sony MPEG VX is a form of multiplexed MPEG-1 content. Multiplexed MPEG-1 video content is "playback only" as far as QT applications are concerned. This means the content cannot be edited or converted by the QT structure without assistance. Doing so in QT Pro, GarageBand, iMovie HD, etc. will result in the loss of the audio content. This is normal and is why you should use a third-party, MPEG-based conversion application for your conversions. MPEG Streamclip (free), iSquint/PunyVid (free), Visual Hub/Film Redux ($$/free), FFmpegX (donation-ware), etc. would all work. My preference is MPEG Streamclip because it allows you to select any of the above listed audio/video iMovie '08 compatible compression formats, as well as, FCP installed codecs if available. Previously you said that your MPEG Streamclip conversions also lost their audio content and was why I wanted to know more about your work flow in that application.
    I have called Mac support (twice) and per their advice, I upgraded to QuickView Pro and also purchased MPEG-2 playback to help with the file conversion.
    I assume you are referring to QT Pro ($30) here and the QT MPEG-2 Playback Component ($20). Neither of these applications are required for the conversion of MPEG VX/MPEG-1 files to DV, AIC, Motion-JPEG, Photo-JPEG, MPEG-4, or H.264 compression formats using MPEG Streamclip but I wholeheartedly recommend having both on hand as you gain more experience in the use of each. MPEG Streamclip basically performs many of the same tasks as QT Pro but is able to handle multiplexed content which QT Pro can't handle while QT Pro allows you to layer audio and video content which MPEG Streamclip can't do. And, if you ever need to convert multiplexed/elementary stream MPEG-2 content in either QT Pro or MPEG Streamclip, then you will need the QT MPEG-2 PLayback Component which you already have. In short, while you may currently feel that you have wasted your investment, with time and experience, you will find these applications to be very powerful and complementary to one another.
    What information do I need to provide to you to help me answer my question?
    If you are unable to convert your Sony CyberShot files to DV, AIC, Motion-JPEG, Photo-JPEG, MPEG-4, and/or H.264 using MPEG Streamclip, then I would need to know the specific work flow used for your attempted conversion.
    I'm desperately trying to create a "movie" for my daughter's first birthday (March 8th) of video clips from her first year to show at her party!!!
    Once you have made a successful conversion using MPEG Streamclip, and decide which codec you plan to use, you can then proceed to the use of the MPEG Streamclip's batch processor which will allow you to load all of the files you want to convert at one time and set it to convert (and not join) all of the files automatically and unattended.

  • Set Application Parameters link not activate under Web Admin Tasks of Admin

    In the " How to do currency translation..." paper, there is a statement as following:
    "The currency conversion business rules tables can also be activated by going through the web
    admin parameters where the following parameter is set to u201C1u201D.
    FXTRANS                                              1
    However after I login to BPC Admin consol, I notice that Set Application Parameters link not activate under Web Admin Tasks of Admin Consol.
    Where should do this? Should I do it under Set AppSet Parameters?

    DFW,
    In the non-web Admin Console, you should also be able to accomplish the same thing by going to the application, clicking "Modify application", then "Change application type", then "Modify Application", then choosing the "Currency Conversion" application option.
    In general, this is how business rules can be turned on without messing around in the application parameters, and should really be the preferred method unless you have done some kind of customization that an application modification will interfere with.

  • Conversations splitting msgs into 2 SMS's

    Running Symbian Anna on Nokia C7-00. Conversations is doing a weird thing where it will inconsistently breakup outgoing messages into multiple SMSes. This happens long before 140 or 160 characters is hit.
    For example, I just sent this message to Twitter (forgive the lack of context):
    "@mister_aok i have the same vague memory but haven't been able to conjure it from the net yet!"
    But Twitter received (and tweeted!) the following 2 messages:
    1. "@mister_aok i have the same vague memory but haven't been able to c"
    2. "onjure it from the net yet!"
    Obviously, this is undesirable behavior - not only because it uses up my SMSes but because it is confusing for the recipient.
    Anyone else experiencing this? Any advice?

    Try uninstalling the conversation application and conversation server from your installed application and check for software updates. If they're still available in the servers, you should get them back again. Install them and see whether the problem is corrected or not. Seems like a corrupted installation of conversations application.

  • Issue in converting Struts view to JSF view using struts-faces integration

    Hi All,
    I am facing a issue in my Sruts to JSF conversion application using struts-faces.jar integration library.
    Need expert's help desperately as I am not able to use <s:form> tag in my new jsf page to call a struts action.
    I want to call a struts action from my web page designed using JSF,
    but it seems impossible without using <s:form> tag from struts-faces integration library.
    Please suggest how to resolve this...
    I am using WSAD 5.1 IDE with inbuilt Test environment WebSphere server
    JSF Version: Sun's RI 1.1
    Struts framework: 1.2.6
    Struts-Faces Integration Library version: 1.0
    I have configured a controller element in struts-config.xml file as has been suggested by different online
    documents I studied:
    <controller>
    <set-property property="processorClass"
    value="org.apache.struts.faces.application.FacesRequestProcessor"/>
    </controller>
    But configuring a controller does not allow my test server to start up properly and due to errors the ActionServlet also becomes unavailable.
    If I comment the controller and start the test server it starts fine but then I cannot access the converted jsf page which contains the <s:form action="/xxxxx.do"> tag.
    If now I get back to <h:form> tag instead of <s:form> tag with a <h:commandButton action="xxxx.do"/> for form submission in my jsf page, I see the html page generated with all components but now checking the html source generated I see
    <form action="/contextName/jspFolder/sameDisplayedPage.jsf"> which is not valid and never gets called successfully.
    I think someways I need to use the <s:form> tag with the controller configured properly to use the struts-faces integration library's request processor, to get things working. But HOW???
    Following is the error I get if I use the <controller> tag element in struts-config.xml file and start the server.
    This error appears on starting the server without accessing any application's jsp web page

    Finally if I change my <s:form action="xxxxx.do"> tag to
    <h:form>
    <h:commandButton id="submit" action="xxxx.do" value="Submit" />
    I see the webpage coming up in the browser (no controller element used in struts-config.xml file this time)
    But in the html source of this html created from jsf I see
    <form id="_id2" method="post" action="/training2/jsp/welcomeF.faces" enctype="application/x-www-form-urlencoded">
    here form's action attribute is pointing to the same displayed page with the context name prefixed. I
    assume it is because jsf could not resolve the "xxxx.do" action to anything so set it to the same displayed page.
    May be I am wrong as usual...
    Below is the simple struts jsp page which I need to convert to jsf page as I am converting only the View part of application.
    I want to use the same struts beans and application logic at the back-end. At front-end I need UIComponents from JSF to be used.
    Following is the struts jsp page
    <%@ page language="java" contentType="text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1" pageEncoding="ISO-8859-1" %>
    <%@ taglib prefix="html" uri="/WEB-INF/lib/struts-html.tld" %>

    <html:html>

    </font>
    <BODY>
    <P>Sample Struts and JSF integration example</P>
    <P>This one is being displayed via Struts specific tags</P>
    <html:form action="validateUser.do">
    <bean:message key="label.name" /> : <html:text property="name" />
    <bean:message key="label.password" /> : <html:password property="password" />

    <html:submit property="submit" value="Show info via Struts" />
    </html:form>
    </BODY>
    </html:html>
    I have converted it into the following jsf page

    I've managed to get this working Ok from JDeveloper:
    See:
    http://www.groundside.com/blog/content/DuncanMills/J2EE+Development/?permalink=573FDB6F8D918B9704907899635CABB1.txt

    Basically you just have to fiddle around with Library settings to get this working OK.
    As to how useful this is, well that's up to you - I'd not regard Faces + Struts as a must use combination, rather it's a can mix if you really need to. Look at Faces and Faces navigation first and see if that actually gives you enough before you start to look at mixing.

  • Why iTunes? Why not iPhoto, or the Movies Folder?

    I hope this does not come across as just ranting. I think I have a couple of intelligent questions here, and am genuinely confused.
    I'm far from new to the Mac. But admittedly have stalled as Apple moved toward mobility and sharing. I do not have any iOS devices; stopped upgrading at Snow Leopard; was sad to see my .Mac become .me, and now evaporate into a cloud. I am not really doing much with iCloud, other than the bare minimal to keep my many years old .Mac email address. I do, however, have and use a Mac Pro, two MacBook Pros, and some older Powerbooks and iPods.
    And now, I have an Apple TV. I just got a new ATV (Amazon listing said "newest" so is that gen 2 or 3?).
    Weather 2nd or 3rd gen ATV, I am having a difficult time using it to play so much of the content I have on several different internal and external hard drives.
    I falsely assumed that video I created or edited using QTPro or iMovie would have an easy and logical route to the Apple TV.
    Wouldn't it make sense to stream from iPhoto, which has video uploaded from digital cameras, or anything in the User Movies folder?
    Any video I have on non-boot drives, internal or external, has no simple way to be played on the ATV.
    For years, working with video, It did not make any sense for me to use iTunes. Hence, the greater percentage of my stuff is not mp4 or m4v, though I try to use H264 now as much as possible. Still, I have much in avi; divx, wmv, mkv, etc. For that reason, I have 2 Sony Pplaystations (PS3) for streaming to HD TVs. But those do not like Apple proprietary video. Which is why I broke down and bought the ATV.
    I am accustomed to having to convert things and have several good video conversions applications, as well as QTPro.
    But the video file type is not my main issue right now. I knew the ATV would not play all those other file types.
    What I did not know, and am struggling with now, is the fact that everything has to come from iTunes, which resides on my boot drive, which only has a fraction of the movies and tv shows I want to stream to the ATV.
    So...Do I have to create multiple iTunes Libraries and store one on each of the non-boot drives?
    If so, how do I use the ATV to select the Library I want to use?
    I do have Home Sharing turned on. As I mentioned, I do not use or have any iOS devices, only multiple laptops and desktops and older iPods.
    So Airplay, as I understand it, is not part of my scenario?
    Nor is syncing, since this is a ATV 2 or 3, right?
    I did figured out one clumsy method of getting video from other than iTunes, but it's limited. It's this:
    In iTunes, I go to Advanced > Choose Photos to Share. Then in the Photo Sharing Preferences box that comes up, next to Share Photos From: I select a folder on one of the non-boot drives, and check the Include videos box. It works, so far. But as best I can figure, I can only make one selection (folder) at a time.
    Help, advise, comments will be much appreciated. Thanks

    The requirements for AppleTV were clear to me that iTunes is required to play videos. Also the video formats were listed in the requirments.
    You have to have iTunes running to stream the videos to your appleTV, but the iTunes library does not have to be on an internal drive. My iTunes library is on a 2TB external drive. I know others have multiple external drives making up their iTunes library but I do not know how they accomplished that.

  • Import from my hard drive

    From my videocamera hd i copy some clips to my hard drive. Then from my imovie, i try to import those clips but imovie do not recognize those clips. Then i try directly to import from the video camera and it works. Is there a way to import clips from the hard drive. Thanks

    From my videocamera hd i copy some clips to my hard drive. Then from my imovie, i try to import those clips but imovie do not recognize those clips. Then i try directly to import from the video camera and it works.
    This is probably normal for the compression format involved. Finder level importing of files works differently than camcorder importation. In the first case, iMovie does not perform any conversion because it expects the user to only import "edit" compatible files. In the latter, Apple is attempt to add support for the newer delivery compression formats now being adopted as a medium for storing video content but which are not designed for editing purposes. In these cases, the iMovie '08 software attempts to negotiate the proper protocols to communicate with the various hardware devices, identify the specific source file compression format, and apply the proper conversion to make the files iMovie '08 compatible during the importation process. HDV and AVCHD content are normally converted to AIC files when imported from a camcorder. If you have Final Cut HDV codecs installed on your computer, I believe HDV files may be imported at the file level. AVCHD, on the other hand, does not, to my knowledge, have a QT component that will allow such content to be imported at the file level to iMovie '08 so a third-party conversion application is necessary here. (I believe Voltaic is most often recommended for this.) Lastly, camcorders using HDD/DVD storage are normally stored as "muxed" MPEG-2/AC3 content which is not "edit" compatible in QT applications in its "native" format. iMovie '08 can, however, demux such files to elementary streams, convert the audio to AIFF in an MOV container, transform the P/B-frames to all MPEG I-frames and merge the result with timing offsets into the MOV file container with minimal audio/video drift. These files can also be imported at the file level but do require an MPEG-based, third-party application to convert the files first.
    Is there a way to import clips from the hard drive.
    Yes, As indicated above, all files can be imported at the "Finder" file level if first converter to an iMovie '08 compatible format or if you have the appropriate codec component installed. However, in order to select the best work flow here, it is first necessary to know what type of file you are dealing with you your particular case. The method referred to be AppleMan is normally used by individuals who cannot get their files to import directly from the camcorder which does not seem to be your problem. Basically, you have the option of picking and choosing your preferred method of import whereas many others do not.

  • Many bugs in N79 Firmware

    Hello!
    I've many problems with my N79:
    Sometimes, when i open the phonebook via shortcut in the standby-screen (i'm using the horizontal standby theme) a screen appears with the title of the phoneboo, but there are no entries or something else - just a cursor (underline) is flashing and i cannot do something. Mostly i close the phonebook application via application manager and then it works mostly. Did somebody of you have the same problem sometimes? Could it be a problem that i have installed the "conversation" application?
    Sometimes i have the problem, that when the keys are locked and i try to unlock, nothing visible happens. Then when i look closer, i see, that i can move the focus in the standby screen with the up, down, left and right-key, but i cannot start an application or open the menu with the menu button. Also the display-light is not activated, but the key-lock is removed. Someway i opened the call-history, but i couldn't do something there. The only thing i could do to work again with my phone is to remove the battery and restart the phone.
    The third problem is have is, that sometimes when i wrote a short message and i want to send it, the phones means, that the message-editor is already in use. When i then want to close the editor i started (where i wrote my message) und save the message as a draft, the phone keeps in the saving-animation, but never ends. I can then kill the message-editor via application manager. When i then open the draft-overview, i can see the draft with a preview of the message i wrote and the receiver. When i open the draft itself, the message and the receiver are empty! As workaround i copy  the message to clipboard before i close the message editor and then paste it into a new message when i start the new message editor, but this problem is really annoying!
    Does somebody of you have the same problems or could somebody help me fixing them or will these problems be fixed in the next firmware?
    I'm using the latest firmware "11.049.53.1"
    PS: Sorry for my bad english...

    Feels like a software issue to me if you ask me. How about doing a backup of all your data to the memory card, do a hard format since you're already on the latest software already like you've said and then use the phone without restoring the data back first to see if the issue are occuring or not. If not, you might want to restore those data back but upon restoration if the issue exist shortly, it could mean your data are causing this to happen. You may be asking what kind of data but it's pretty hard to narrow down to be honest.

  • Save File as SVG using Illustrator

    Generous Helper,
    I am trying to save the file as .SVG format using illustrator..
    Openin in notepad the saved file shows the elements and attribute like:
    <svg version="1.1" id="Layer_1" xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2000/svg" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" x="0px" y="0px"
      width="800px" height="600px" viewBox="0 0 800 600" enable-background="new 0 0 800 600" xml:space="preserve">
    <rect x="132.286" y="53" fill="none" width="161.429" height="17.857"/>
    <text transform="matrix(1 0 0 1 132.2856 61.52)" font-family="'MyriadPro-Regular'" font-size="12">Name</text>
    <rect x="137.286" y="87.286" fill="none" width="102.143" height="10.714"/>
    </svg>
    I like to see the elements and attributes like:
    <g transform="translate(100,100)">
    <text id="TextElement" x="0" y="0" style="font-family:Verdana;font-size:24"> Name !
    <animateMotion path="M 0 0 L 100 100" dur="5s" fill="freeze"/>
    </text>
    </g>
    The difference between both the files is
    text id="TextElement" , so that I can use this as pointer for data to enter.
    can someone tell me how I can achieve the code no# while saving the file as .SVG using Illustrator.  While writing of my own .SVG file like code # 2 , I can write it and it is very well valid.
    But I want illustrator write me the same style of code. I played around various options but every time I am getting the same style of code ( Code # one) using illustrator.
    Thanks,

    Hi —
    I'm a newbie to the forum reply system, but I try to check in for good info quite often.
    If you are going to work with SVG and text input-output, you should be using the Variables palette and a schema architecture for your data. Start with reading the Help PDF "Data-driven graphics". There are a lot of considerations, up-front decisions and setup to prepare, but the pay-off is worth it. Also see the "About data sets" and "About variable libraries". Since this is an "open standard" there are element and property rules that are out on the XML site (you probably are already aware of these) and can help when swapping one element's name for another if you need to transform the output on the fly. You can actually build database exchanges without paying for a proprietary conversion application by using XML — if both databases are XML-friendly.
    I'm sure if you go out to an XML forum, there are folks out there that can help with the output; once the file is saved as an SVG with the appropriate element names and setup. A helpful hint is not to save with Illustrator editing options. It saves two files then: one in SVG and the other in Illustrator, along with other errata. You can still edit the file without that option by simply opening it in Illustrator at any time, although you will see it has been "dumbed-down" a bit. SVG is cool, but not as mature as it should be and it does odd outputs when there are a lot of layers or clipping paths. If you are using an earlier version of Illustrator, the text can be fractured into individual letters and would need to be re-entered. The KISS method is the best route, although I have seen some awesome animations using SVG. Also, there are rumblings that CS3 and 4 cannot be opened in some other applications... I'm still researching that one.
    Whenever I plan XML text interchange, I approach it as a separate project from the actual graphic like an extension that can surround it. It doesn't matter which you do first, the graphic layout and then the text interchange or visa versa... as long as you see them both as equally time-consuming for the initial set-up. Just because it is easy to type in the text and see it output, doesn't mean it will bend to your needs without a well-thought-out plan.
    Hope this is of some help.
    You may want to check out http://www.svgopen.org and http://www.svgopen.org/2009/ and the latest http://twitter.com/svgopen/ and http://www.planetsvg.com - see who might be  represented from Adobe Illustrator (or not) since they are no longer supporting SVG (this year, anyway).

  • How do I save then play a slideshow to windows media player?

    I have a slideshow created in iphoto that I would like to play on a PC in Windows Media Player. I tried to save it in Quicktime, but it wouldn't play on my PC at work. Any suggestions?

    If you have Quicktime Pro you can open the movie in Quicktime Player 7 and export it to a wmv format that will play in the Windows Media Player.
    You might be able to convert it with Quicktime Player 7 without the pro option.  You'll have to test it and see.  There are other conversion applications that will do the trick.  Go to MacUpDate.com and search for :convert movie".

  • . BUP and IFO files

    I am looking to edit a DVD that found it's way to me. All I have are files that are:
    .BUO
    .IFO
    .VOB
    I can open and save the .VOB, but the other two do not work. Please help! thanks

    I can open and save the .VOB, but the other two do not work.
    The VOB files are the only ones (i.e., the "non-zero" ones) that contain audio/video data. Think of the other files as instructions telling how to play the audio/video data and list of pointers or a map telling where particular segments of audio and vidio data are acually located within the VOB data containers. Whether or not you need all of the files depends on your particular work flow. You can, for instance, simply play the DVD (or VIDEO_TS folder) using the Apple DVD Player to determine which "Title" sets contain the content you wish to edit. Then, assuming the content is your own and not a commercially protected DVD, simply copy the unencrypted VOB "Title" sets needed from the DVD to your hard drive, open them in an MPEG-based, third-party conversion application and convert the muxed MPEG-2 content to an iMovie '08 edit compatible compression format like DV, AIC, MJPEG, MPEG-4, H.264, etc. as desired. On the other hand, if your intention is to "trick" iMovie into automatically importing/converting the files, then you need the "mapping" support files also. I personally prefer the former strategy as it affords maximum user options but many here do not. So the choice is ultimately up to you as the primary end user.
