Conversion from Modbus addressing to DNP3

I am investigating the possibility of converting a Lookout 5.0 addressing protocol to DNP3.
An example of the current addressing scheme is s40001-s40050 for example. What would these Modbus address convert to for DNP
Can I just export the existing database into Excel, make changes, and then import the modified database?

Wow. That's a lot of unnecessary stuff to digest. All you really need to do is focus on the root cause.
ORABPEL-11800 Unimplemented object conversion. Conversion from JDBC type OTHER is not implemented.

The JDBC reference to java.sql.Types.OTHER means that you're using an unsupported data type.

IMessage randomly starts new conversation from email address

My wife's phone has been having this problem for a while - both on her iPhone 5, and on her new iPhone 6.
In the settings for iMessage, it says she can be reached by iMessage at ___, and then lists her Verizon cellular number, and her iCloud email address. Under "start new conversations from" it lists her Verizon cellular number, and her iCloud email address, with the phone numbering having a check mark.
The issue: some iMessages she sends me will be from her phone number, and some from her email address. There appears to be no rhyme or reason to where the iMessage originates. The only clue I can decipher is it appears that when she sends photos, it might be coming through her email address, but I can say that's for certain.
Any idea what the cause is?

IMessages sent from icloud address/phone number=2 conversations!

This is a long-standing issue that defies resolution. At times, my iphone or my wife's iphone will send iMessages from our iCloud addresses instead of our phone number. So if my wife sends an iMessage to me, I sometimes get a new message from "[email protected]". Although her name, email addresses and phone number are in my Contacts, this new conversation shows up as her email address. We used to think it was because she travels abroad and uses wi-fi in her hotel that caused the phone to use an email address rather than her number because she was out of the UK. Not so! Here's what happened today: My wife sent me and our 2 children iMessages from London Heathrow to us three at home. My message came through as from her email address, my daughter's also came through from her email address, but my son, a few yards down the hallway got his from her phone number.
This is a typical scenario which can work the other way round when it's ME sending her the iMessages where she gets my message as though I'd sent it from my email address rather than the phone number.
I have been through all the hoops I know of to sort this but I just can't fix it. I don't know whether it's the iPhone, iCloud or what that's at fault. But it is driving me mad.
In this morning's case, I replied to her message by using an older (yesterday's) conversation to send my iMessage to her, and her reply to that came to me via her phone number, as expected, and good as gold. Had I just replied to her iMessage, it would have perpetuated the TWO conversations. I have tried logging out and back in, deleting the accounts and reinstating them, re-entering the settings, making sure that the "Start new conversations from..." is set up correctly and so on. Then after a while, it returns, randomly, to sending texts from the email and starts a new conversation again. And you can't combine the 2 conversations even when you go to Details-Add to existing contact etc.
I have also just been informed by a supplier that my iMessages to him are showing up as my email address not my phone number, despite my iphone being set to 'Start conversations from +44777...etc"
Please throw out suggestions as you wish and I'll be grateful, even if it's one I've already tried and failed with.
This icloud is a nightmare.

IMessage - "new conversations from" ios 7 iMessage backups

Hi, So I'm having two issues at the moment but I'll start with the "new conversations" issue. I just upgraded to the 5S and did a iTunes restore on the phone, restored using my backup and then activated iMessage which took a few hours before it actually happened. Any time I try and start a new conversation from my mobile (cell) number, iMessage automatically sends it as a standard SMS message (green) and not as a blue iMessage but when I start the conversation from an email address, iMessage works as normal but from "Messages" on my Macbook, I can send from my mobile number just fine so I'm not sure what's wrong.
The second issue I'm having is that on my Mac, I have way more messages from one of my contacts, they go back quite a while but on my iphone they only go back as far as start of September. Any way how I can get iMessage on my Mac to force sync to my iphone and reload all my messages?

Modbus address problem

I have recently bought a compact FieldPoint system that consist of a cFP-1808 and a cFP-AI-118. I'm getting the system to work in Windows by using express Fieldpoint vias, but I have a requirement to have a Linux version (a embedded computer will control the system) so I have started to looking at Modbus. I downloaded the NI library "nimodbus" and read the help file "Using the cFP-180x as a Modbus Device". From the "nimodbus" library I'm using "MB Ethernet master Query.vi". In this vi there is a control that consist of five controls: "Function Code", "Starting address", "Quantity", "Data" and "Discrete".
According the help file "Using the cFP-180x as a Modbus Device" and page "FieldPoint Modbus Addresses", the address should start with '0' for raw I/O data. Since my analog input module is at slot '1'and I want to read channel 1, the address should be '01001'. But when I try to type this address in "Starting address" control it gets 'converted' to '1001' and during the run of the program I obtain the error code "MODBUS Exception code: 2." which means that my address is incorrect. But when I'm reading the attributes (according the help file It stats with '1', therefore my address is '11001'), I have no problems.
So please explain for me what I'm doing wrong with the address for reading the raw I/O data.

No problem... "Coils" is an old terminology; usually implying closing/opening of solenoid coils.

IMessage: "Start New Conversations From" setting is ignored

In my iMessage settings, I have the option set to start new conversations from my email address instead of my phone number. I don't want anyone having my phone number, so this is a VITAL feature for me.
The problem is that the setting is IGNORED! New conversations are in fact coming from my phone number. I have tried changing the setting back and forth, even wiped my phone and started from scratch, and still, new conversations come from my phone number instead of my email address.
How can I get iMessage to acknowledge the setting and start new conversations from my email address?

This worked for me. Turn off iMessage in Settings---> Messages. Then turn off iPhone. Restart iPhone then turn iMessage back on. The phone number should reappear.

Help - Business Partner "Error in conversion Customizing for address types"

Hi Experts,
I am encountering an error with maintaining the Payer/ee in the Payment Details (SI) tab under Counterparty company code.
The error message I get is below --
*Error in conversion Customizing for address types (-> note 594871, III)
Message no. FTBU800*
I need your kind help please to troubleshoot this issue.. I receive the same error when i book deals and try to view the "Payment Details" tab during TX01 or TM01. I am not sure anymore what could be causing this problem.

Hello Raj,
Impliment the correction as specified in the sap Note 594873.. sect III.
You can take the help of your basis team for downloading it Using Tcode "SNOTE" and if you have sufficient authorizations you can do it your self..
another option is to down load the Note from the service market place and get the correction implimented manually by a technical consultant.

Imessage sends messages from email despite selecting phone number for "start new conversations from"

On both my phone and my computer I have selected to start new conversations from my phone number, but just now I continued a conversation from my macbook and it sent it from my email address instead of my phone number! All the other answers I found for this question were outdated, I couldn't find "Caller ID" in settings for iOS 8 or Yosemite.

If this is a continuing conversation, I don't believe the device looks at it as a new conversation, which is what that setting is for, from what I understand. If there is a checkmark by the phone number on all devices, then it should start there, but if the conversation was originally started from the email, I believe it will continue until you start a new conversation.

Yes, I have solved it. You could try to go from Settings -> Messages, turn the iMessage from ON to OFF, then you switch off your iphone and turn it on; go back to Settings -> Messages, change the iMessage from OFF to ON, then switch off your iphone and turn it back on, go to check whether you could see or add back the phone number assoicated with the iMessage. Good Luck !

If you are logged in with the same Apple ID with iMessage on both and you have the same phone number(s) and/or email address or addresses selected under you can be reached by iMessage at for your iMessage preferences on both, iMessage conversations will be kept synced between the two.

Restore an iMessage conversation from Mac to iPhone

Hi,
A couple of months ago, I deleted a contact from my address book, along with the corresponding iMessage conversation from this contact. Both the contact and the conversation were manually deleted from my Mac and my iPhone (I think, although maybe I just deleted it from my iPhone?). Both devices are using the same AppleID/iCloud account.
About a month ago, I added the contact back in (I can't recall if I added the contact back on my Mac first or my iPhone first) and the entire iMessage conversation had been restored on my Mac (I was actually quite amazed that the entire conversation was restored on the Mac. I didn't really know that all that is stored in lCloud). On my iPhone, however, only the iMessage conversation messages that were exchanged since the contact was added back in are present on the iPhone.
Is there a way to force the iPhone to refresh the entire conversation from this particular contact from iCloud, or from my Mac?
I use iCloud backup to back up my phone, not my Mac.

Not that I know of. You would have to restore a back-up of the iPhone before the message was deleted. You can also take screen shots on the Mac of the conversation. That would save the conversation in your photos, and you can sync those. Maybe someone else can chime in if I'm missing something.

After resetting firefox, I can no longer search from the address bar

Like the title says I can't search from the address bar "awesome bar" anymore. I just get a 404 error when I try. Searching just lists tons of people getting the "just update keyword.url" answer that's no longer valid. And hasn't been for several years.
I got a browser hijack somewhere. Not sure where, and nothing was installed on my computer so I reset firefox and lost all my search engines. IE was fixed with an uninstall/reinstall. Chrome hates my face and no longer runs. (And google's help is... well if I wanted to be insulted...) I've reinstalled several times. No dice. I've now reset firefox three times. It's just not working. I've ran several virus scanners, ran several malware programs, and even asked my IT department. (They don't care cause IE works and their stupid "virus scan" was clean. I mean it took 30 seconds. What the hell did it actually scan?)
Surely there's a keyword or something that I'm missing that needs to be reset so I can get my address bar searching again.

Current Firefox versions use the default search engine that is set in the search bar as well for searching via the location bar and on the about:home page.
You can use the SearchReset extension to reset some preferences to the default values.

Can not copy a URL from the address bar/line

Why is it proving so difficult for me to copy a URL from the address bar using Safari? When I click on the link I want to copy, it does not highlight. I have used Command L and Command C, and that works but there has to be a simpler way. I also read that if I click the address bar once, then press the control key and click on it again that a menu would appear with cut, paste, copy. That does happen, but all options are greyed out, and not selectable. Another google search resulted in someone saying there was a button or arrow to click on and that this tool would copy the URL.

Click the icon (favicon) to the left of the URL.
That will select the entire URL.
Command C will copy the URL.

Getting ÿþ as saved conversations from Lync in Outlook in Office 2013

I've been trying to get to the bottom of this and have found similar posts, but no one seems to have an answer.
When I IM someone using Lync 2013, they get a pop up notification but instead of the message they see ÿþ<. Once they open the chat window, they can see my typed text. Occasionally, certain people can't see the first line of my chat, but as
long as they keep the chat window open, they can see everything new I type.
All my conversations that are saved in outlook show ÿþ< for the text and are unreadable. I've disabled the saving of conversations because they have become worthless.
I believe it has to do with BOM but have not been able to find a way to fix this.
If I copy a conversation from the chat window and paste it into Microsoft Word it shows ÿþ<, but if I paste it into notepad the conversation appears.

I've tried changing the preferred encoding for outgoing messages: to Unicode (UTF-8) in Outlook, but this had no effect and I can't find a similar option in Lync 2013.

I enabled logging for Lync and the event IDs that come up are 1, 11 and 12, to which I cannot find any information for at the moment.

Did the issue happen only for you or for multiple users?
Please try to delete Lync User Profile and information on Registry, then repair Office 2013.
The path of Lync User Profile: %UserProfile%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Lync
The path for information on Registry: HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Lync\[email protected]
Then test the issue again.
