Conversion of Biztalk 2002 maps To Biztalk 2010 maps

Hi All,
Is it possible to migrate maps from Biztalk server 2002 to 2010 automatically/programmatically?
If yes, what would be the process?
or Do I need to create new map based on the BizTalk 2002 map? Why?

I have done a similar migration a year ago for an client. Initially we tried to migration the projects using migration wizards. We tried approaches like migrate the BizTalk 2002
to 2004, then 2004 to 2006 and then finally 2006 to 2010. This effect on paper seemed much better than redeveloping things completely from scratch. But practically time and resource spent to migrate and resolve the issues popped up during the migration it
not worth.
Also when you migrate/leap your application from BizTalk 2002 to BizTalk 2010, don't just look in terms of using the latest version of BizTalk just to avail the support from BizTalk
as per licensing. This is a chance to use the latest offering from BizTalk like support to WCF adapters, used advanced functiods, use the latest development approached etc. So it’s better to redevelop things to BizTalk 2010 rather than relying on some easily
migrating approaches.

Hi all,
I have a Biztalk 2009 application that I moved to Biztalk 2013. It only consist of send port (wcf custom adapter), receive port, receive location (file adapter) and a party agreement.
The issue that I have is processing the file to sql server using WCF custom adapter. Does the store procedure has to be different in Biztalk 2013 in order to process files? or can it be the same as configured in Biztalk 2009?

Test also your Maps because in a BizTalk 2013 map a method must return something when it is invoked and can not return null.

Nokia maps 1.0 - india maps, Maharashtra and Goa

Hi all,
I want to download india maps and specifically maps of Maharashtra and Goa. I bought a Nokia C2-03 (dual-sim) recently and have been trying to download maps via Nokia Ovi Suite 3.1.1.90 but it has been a failure.
The device itself does not have much memory but do have a memory card. Does anybody know how :-
a. I can download and install the Maharashtra and Goa map in the memory card ?
b. A link from where I can download the map. I did see this link given /t5/Maps-Navigation-and-GPS/Maps-Data-File-size-discrepancy/m-p/1166517/message-uid/1166517/highligh... but unfortunately it seems for a different version of Nokia maps .
c. Am I correct in assuming its Nokia maps 1.0 . This I came to know via Menu > Maps > Options > About where it says Maps 1.0 www.nokia.com/maps/support

Welcome to the forum!
Unfortunately S40 devices use Nokia Maps 1.0 for which available mapping is a lot less detailed; presumably you have inserted memory card and opened Nokia Maps application at least once upon your C2-03 to initialise application? At this point Ovi Suite > Maps should recognise memory card and offer you maps to download but not always so.
That said Series 40 Ovi Maps 2.1 is variable in implementation and if device supplied with local maps installed upon memory card there doesn't seem an issue adding more maps but real issues if no maps with it sometimes.

Issue with java mapping in a multi-mapping scenario

    We have a 1:n multiple mapping scenario in XI and the source is R3 proxy and target side is files. So, creating multiple file from a single message from R3 .
R3 --> XI --> Multiple files
Structure of the output of the multi-mapping is

                   In my scenario, I sent the inputstream that is being passed to the Java execute method - to trace and I see that the whole of the xml file - as shown below - which is the output of message mapping ( from the first mapping step ) in sent to the execute method of the java mapping a single call

Hi Henry,
I understood your requirement.
But as per the architecture of XI/PI some message has to trigger your scenario.
In this case there is no adapter where you can directly communicate with CRM system.
Do one thing configure a dummy scenario on the sender side.
Use File adapter for simplicity. once it pools the file with some dummy data in the file it comes to Interface mapping(message mapping) of the PIPELINE steps. Now use the code as you mentioned above(within UDF) for opening socket to CRM system and implement you business logic within that program and write the response to target interface which will infact talk with CRM system.
Dont forget to do the coding in an infinite loop with some delay (if required). Other wise every time you have to put a message for File Adapter for triggering purposes.
You can also acheive the same if you use Java Mapping instead of Graphical mapping with UDF(code for Opening socket and business logic). I suggest you to use Java Mapping.
I dont know how you will comunicate with CRM system on receiver side.?

Lookup value mapping table through message mapping.

Hello All,
I am working on a graphical mapping (message mapping). When trying to map the source message to the target message, I need to find out it a particular <b>key</b> exists in the <b>value mapping table</b>. Depending on the result, I need to map different source fields to the target field.
Is there any inbuilt function which will allow me to do a lookup on a value mapping table, or is it possible to lookup a value mapping table from a UDF?

Dozer mapping problem - How to map lists

I have an arraylist list1 which contains objects of type UserBean. I want to map this to another arraylist which contains objects of type UserVo.
I have a dozer mapping xml file for mapping attributes of UserBean and UserVo, but how do i map the lists directly?

Re-use message mapping from within java mapping?

I have a question regarding java mapping. What I would like to do is to re-use an existing message mapping from within java mapping.
Technicaly, message mapping is perfomed by com.sap.aii.mappingtool.tf3.AMappingProgram.execute, right? I would like to call that mapping program for a specifc message mapping from within my java mapping.
Pseudo java code would look like this:

very interesting idea?
I would activa a dummy message mapping. than I would have a look in the file directory of the java-stack and try to find out the name of the *.class or *.jar file.
On the other hand you could generate a tpz-transport-file an unpack this file, to explore the name of the *.class or *.jar
Unfortunately I do not have access to the file system. So I can't explore the name.

Hi, i have found a Bug in XI and SAP said to me that the only solution is to execute an ABAP mapping after my java mapping.
I have an IDOC to FILE scenario
Could anyone orient me on what do i have to configure, so after my java mapping i can execute an abap mapping ?.
Do i have to use process integration?

i have developed a Java mapping originally, but XI has a bug. When you do not write anything to the outputStream XI instead of writing an emtpy file writes a file containing one byte ( 0x00 ) and this is a problem.
SAP said to me that they will not fix this issue so they recomend me to create an abap mapping after my java mapping that will send no information if it receives this byte (0x00) and if not it will write all the information as received.
My doubt regarding putting several mappings in the interface mapping configuration is this...
Actual configuration:
SOURCE MSG A -> ORIGINAL MAPPING -> TARGET MSG B
Proposed configuration
SOURCE. MSG A -> ORIGINAL MAPPING -> TARGET MSG B

I dont understand what receives de "patch mapping" it receives the structure from TARGET MSG B?

If u2018ABAP-classu2019 and u2018XSL(ABAP ENGINE)u2019 does not appear under the u2018Mapping Program Typeu2019 in Interface Mapping, one has to make an additional entry in the Exchange Profile.
Only a user with the J2EE security role (administrator) can make the following settings in the Exchange Profile.
It is achieved in the following manner:
1) Open http://<host>:<port>/exchangeProfile/index.html
2)Choose IntegrationBuilder ->IntegrationBuilder.Repository -> com.sap.aii.repository.mapping.additionaltypes
Add: R3_ABAP|Abap-class;R3_XSLT|XSL (ABAP Engine)
To check whether the data has been successfully read from the exchange profile:
1- Open http://<host>:<port>/rep/support/admin/index.html
2- Choose Administration of Properties -> All Properties
3- If the value associated to parameter com.sap.aii.repository.mapping.additionaltypes is not visible, press REFRESH button
After doing above check in IR, if still don't find the option for ABAP mapping then refresh the cache.

Two message mapping in one interface mapping

hi,
my scenario is idoc to file and i am using java mapping(not UDF) for some fields as well as graphical for rest of the fields.
I want to add these two mapping program in one interface mapping to generate final target, but the problem is it is not creating final file structure, but when i add only one mapping(either one) it works fine.
I'm doing this because I have to add value mapping, after the value i get through java mapping or is it possible to use static value mapping within the java mapping itself.

Hi,
In addition to what Moorthy said you first test mapping individually and see if it works fine. While testing you make sure you are giving the right input, I mean if Java mapping comes second you need to give the output XML of the Graphical mapping or vice versa.
Hope in Java mapping is done properly and you are returning the expected structure as output. For example if you are using Java mapping as the first one your ouput should be exaclty like that of source structure with the values filled.

Whether there is a simple way to add new Mapping operators on a mapping?

Whether there is a simple way to add new Mapping operators on existing mapping?
For example I have a mapping, but now I need to add new Filter or Aggregator operator, so I must delete all connections between attributes, then add new operator, connect source attributes to the input attribute for the operator and so on.
Is there way to turn down this operations, simply drop new operator on source object or on a connection between two objects, and necessary operations will be automatically executed.
As I remember in OWB2 something similar existed in a way to add new Filter operator.

Unfortunately there is not. What you should aim for, is to use the group-by-group mapping using match by name (with some additional options, such as ignore source/target prefix, suffix, etc.).
I.e. if you want to insert another operator, then I recommend you first populate attributes based on an operator that is currently on the mapping delete the old operator (to delete all connections), map into the new operator and add another operator in order to re-create what you previously had. I know it is not ideal... but in my experience it is the most productive way to work.
