Convert datetime to date/very urgent

Hello experts
i am new to sql server and wants to change a column data type datetime to date in a view and i need to document that also, thank you.

CAST or CONVERT the datetime column to Date:
eg:
Select Cast(column as date) from table

SQL Loader Oracle 10g problem in upload date with time data -- Very urgent.

I am trying to upload data using SQL loader. There are three columns in the table
defined as DATE. When I tried upload a data like this '2007-02-15 15:10:20', it is not loading time part. The date stored as 02/15/2008' only. There is not time on that. I tried with many different format nothing work. Can please help me ?
I have also tried with to_date --> to_timestamp it did not work.
The application is going to be in production, I cannot change DATE to TIME STAMP. This is very urgent.

Your problem is most likely in decode - the return type in your expression will be character based on first search value ('null'), so it will be implicitly converted to character and then again implicitly converted to date by loading into date column. At some of this conversions you probably are loosing your time part. You can try instead use cast:

Duplicate records found while loading master data(very urgent)

Hi all,
One infopackage in the process chain failed while laoding the master data(full update).Its showing the following error-->duplicate record found ..1 record used in /BI0/PTCTQUERY and the same record occured in /BI0/PTCTQUERY tables.
can anyone give me the solution...its very urgent...

Hi
You can see the check box in the Processing tab page. Make a tick mark for the check box Ignore Duplicate Data Records indicator . When multiple data records that have the same key are transferred, the last data record in the request is updated to BI. Any other data records in the request with the same key are ignored.
Help says that:
To maintain consistency, ignoring duplicate data records is only possible if the data is updated serially. A serial update is when data is first updated into the PSA then, after it has been successfully written to the PSA, it is updated into the master data or text tables of the InfoObject.
If a DataSource transfers potentially duplicate data records or if you manually set the Ignore Duplicate Data Records indicator, the PSA Only update type is automatically selected in the scheduler.

How to Convert DateTime to Date ?

This sounds easy, but I'm not progressing as I should.
element MyDate : Date;
MyDate = contract.ValidityPeriod.TimePointPeriod.StartTimePoint.DateTime. ;
The above complains about "Assignment of type DateTime to type Date is not possible".
I've looked into DateTime functions, but am not getting anywhere.
Any tips on how to convert a DateTime field to Date field ?

Afaik, AP.Common.GDT.DateTime does not have a ConvertToGlobalDateTime method, furthermore retrieving the date from the globalDateTime could give you the wrong local date since it does do not consider time zones.
I would use the similar to the following (no guarantee about correctness):

Customer invoice baseline date- VERY URGENT

User wants partial payment baseline date and credit memo baseline date with reference to customer's original invoice baseline date. E.g.
1. We received customer invoice 01/01/2007 and baseline date is 01/01/2007.
2. We recieved partial payment 06/10/2007 and baseline date is 06/10/2007
3. We received credit memo 09/15/2007 and baseline date is 09/15/2007
Question: What needs to be done to get original invoice baseline date in partial payment and credit memo.
OBB8 Settings: Document date option checked.

Hi Experts,
I also would like to know how to get the baseline date by "following the original invoice due date" when creating "Customer Credit Memo (in transaction VF01) or Subsequent Account doc.". Is it possible in changing the configuration ? If not, is it only possible to solve it in user exit ?

How to convert PO sapscript layout to pdf - need VERY URGENT Help

Dear All,
Requirement: PO sapscript layout after some modifications (say, ZMEDRUCK) has to be converted to pdf. Through me9f user will be able to give ranges of PO numbers and can view the print preview for the po. After that on clicking the print button we get the printout of the pos one after another based on the user input of PO numbers.
Our requirement is that when the user will click on the "Print Preview" of po (rather than pressing the print button) it i.e. PO sapscript layout has to get converted to pdf.
If you have already encountered this scenario, could you please send me the source code regarding this at the earliest. If you want to email it to my personal id, please let me know so that I can give it to you. Thank you.
It will be very beneficial for mine if you can send me some source code in this regard. (FYI. We want only Print output of PO sapscript. So, Print Program /SMB40/FM06P [after copying it to our ZSMB40/FM06P program] need to be modified for downloading the PO into PDF where there is no FMs like OPEN_FORM, WRITE_FORM, CLOSE_FORM. So already available source code in SAP forums can not help me.)). Kindly help me at the earliest. Its VERY URGENT

Very Very Urgent Issue: Restricted Key Figure does not return any data

Hi all,
Please help me solving this urgent issue.
created customer exit variable on characterstics version and also
other customer exit variable on Value type.
I coded that in variable exit. Problem is when I include these in
restrickted keyfigure My query does not return me any data.
But if I remove from restrickted key firgure and put it as normal
charaterstics I see the variable is getting populated.
Also in RSRT the SQl generated when these are included in RKF is not
correct.
I debugged and know they are getting populated. As when included in RKF
I can also see the values of customer exit variables from information
tab.
I also know that there is data in cube for those restrictions.
I posted one OSS Notes regarding this urgent issue. But got no reply from SAP.
FYI: We are using BEx 3.5 Browser SAP GUI 6.4 Patch 20 BW Patch 11

Copy Master Datas in FICo from 1 Company Code to Another --- Very Urgent

I want to copy all the FI & CO master Data like G/L a/cs , Vendor Master, Customer Master, Cost Centers, Cost Elements, Commitment Items, Funds Center & Assets from one company code to another company code. Both the company codes will have same Chart of accounts. Is there any t.Code by which i can just extend these masters to my company code. Plz help. its very Urgent.

In customization, Assign Chart of A/cs to company code there u will get the path for copying one company code to another company GL Masters.
And also the CCtrs u already assign to the first company code. Once u copy the data for one company to another automatically it will copy to another company code.

I am not very much sure about this.
Are u calling a BAPi from WD application?
If yes then the error seems to be that : JCOs metadata is not available.
Please check that ur JCO definitions in portal and make sure the name in Portal and the name u defined in WD application are same( case sensitive).
Also TEST JCO in Portal.
Please revert back with current status and explain ur problem a bit more.

Hi ,
1.)You must have to create a EO based on custom table and then VO based on this EO eventually to save the values in DB
2.) the row.setNewRowState(Row.STATUS_INITIALIZED); is used to set the the status of row as inialized ,this is must required.
3.) When u will create the VO based on EO the viewattributes will be created in VO which will be assigned to the fields to take care the db handling .
You must go thtough the lab excercise shipped with you Jdeveloper ,there is a example of Create Employee page ,that will solve your number of doubts.
