Convert __DIR__ to standard url

hi
i want to use a file from javafx in java code. the path of the file defined in javafx is using the "__DIR__" variable. please tell me how can i convert this into standard url (i.e c:\xxx.jpg). because when i am using __DIR__ the string is coming like this "jar:file:/C:/Documents%20and%20Settings/user1/Desktop/tmp/dist/tmp.jar!/". which gives error in the java code.

You get things mixed up, I fear...
__DIR__ is providing a standard URL. What you ask for is a regular Windows path...
But you can't provide a path to a file in a jar file (AFAIK), and it probably won't work with Java API requiring a path...
Nothing prevents you to provide a full, absolute path to your file, as long as it is on the standard file system.

  • InDesign CS6 - converting to pdf breaks url

I have a situation with InDesign CS6 where a document is created, a URL is attached to a word and saved.  then it is exported to a pdf, and the URL breaks - putting in characters in place of the correct characters and symbols.  Please advise of a solution for this.  Using Creative Cloud InDesign CS6 on a Windows 7 64 bit laptop.

ok I tried that, but it did not work. This is the URl prior to exporting it to pdf:
    http://events.constantcontact.com/register/event?oeidk=a07e847bitbbff3608b
this is the url after exporting it to pdf:
    http://events.constantcontact.com/register/event%3Foeidk%3Da07e847bitbbff3608b
if you notice - it takes the ? and converts it to %3F and the = it converts to %3D.
I export the file which converts it to pdf, and make sure the url option is selected.

  • Using a registered domain instead of .Mac standard URL

Is it possible to use a registered domain name that I own (the name of my business) instead of the standard .Mac string URL?
    iMac G5   Mac OS X (10.4.5)

    Welcome to the discussions, Firestorm.
If the company that has your domain does forwarding, you can have them forward your domain to your. Mac site. That's how I did http://www.makentosh.com.
Also, if you want to use the .Mac counters, you have to use normal forwarding and not stealth forwarding.

  • How to convert tdms to standard bin?

Is there any tool to convert tdms files into standard bin files? I  would like to convert the tdms in a standard bin file to open and analyze it out of Labview. Converting the tdms to a sound file wave or aiff file would also work. Thank you.

Thank you. The "standard" bin format I need has to include one single header of 1 Bit and must be 16 bits. Is there any tool available to convert tdms to this bin format? thank you very much.
That means absolutely nothing. 1 bit of what? What does the 1 bit represent? 16 bits of what? What do the 16 bits represent? Are you saving values as 16-bit numbers? As I noted, there is no tool to convert TDMS files to bin files since the format is user-specific. You need to use the Write Binary FIle VIs to generate your binary file.

  • How to convert HD to standard DV

    Hi,
I am still shooting and editing standard definition mini DV tapes on an older Mac. I do have a digital camera that takes HD video. I have taken some videos with my digital camera that I would like to convert so that I can edit them into my Standard DV videos. I have access to an intel Mac for convert them, but will be editing the footage in standard definition.
So, please let me know the best way to convert my HD to SD video or standard DV.
    Thank you

IMovie09 will import all of your movie clips - Standard MiniDV and Hi-Definition and even AVCHD off a digital camcorder or camera with HD Movie facility.
You can work with all of these clips together and when finished editing you can export into many different formats. If you export to iDVD to burn onto a disk, this will of course scale your footage down to Standard Definition.

  • Can I convert an iMovie Standard project to widescreen?

I created a project using iMovie HD6 and didn't realize that it was set to Standard DV video format. It is complete but I need it to be widescreen format. My intention is to use iDVD to burn it. Am I stuck or is there anyway to change video format at this point? Can I import the saved project into a NEW iMovie project set for widescreen? Anything?

Was the original footage shot in 16:9 widescreen, but imported into a 4:3 DV project instead of a 16:9 DV Widescreen project?
If that is the case you have two choices:
import the footage again into a new project set as DV Widescreen, or
Change the project to 16:9 widescreen after passing it on to iDVD, but before burning it to a DVD:
First go to http://www.mydvdedit.com/index.php?lang=english and download myDVDedit. This is shareware although the download is free. Send the guy a few dollars/euros, he deserves it. While you are there, read all about it. Now install it in your Applications Folder. You will need it later.
You have finished your iMovie project with music, transitions and so on, and saved it to you Movies Folder
Open iDVD. Give the project a name, and save it as Widescreen. Now import the iMovie project into iDVD, choose a theme (any theme you like, even if it prefers to stay at 4:3) and save the project. Do what you would normally do to the theme and its drop zones. Save the project.
Now save as Disk Image on your desktop. Leave it there for the moment when it has finished/appeared.
Open your Movies Folder. Create a new folder. Name it PROJECTNAME – TS FILES (where ‘projectname’ is the name of your project!). Close the folder. You can of course call it anything you like, but this aids identification.
Now double-click the disk image on your desktop. It contains two folders: AUDIO_TS (which is empty, but please pretend that it isn’t) and VIDEO_TS. Drag and drop these to the folder you created in your Movies Folder. (This takes a moment).
Click on the AUDIO_TS folder and go to Get Info in the file menu. Right down the bottom is where you have to change the permissions. Under ‘Ownership & Permissions’ change this from Read Only to Read & Write. Click the small triangle next to Details, scroll down and click on ‘Apply to enclosed items’. You will be asked for your root password. Close the get info window, and now click on the VIDEO_TS folder and do the same. Close the Projectname-TS Files folder. You have now allowed yourself to change the properties of the contents of those folders, which leads us to the next all-important step.
Open myDVDedit. Go to File and open the projectname TS Files folder. By all means stare at it shock and awe, but don’t bother finding out what it can do, except for the following:
Top left you fill see a list of files. Lower centre you have a large window. On the vertical menu to the left of that, click te middle one (VTS or VMG).
In the window at the top left, ignore ‘First Play’ (if there was anything to correct in that, myDVDedit will have done so and told you).
Click on VMG Menu en (English). Now the whole thing springs to life.
Set Coding Mode to MPEG-2 (if it isn’t already)
Set Standard to PAL (or NTSC if that is what you want)
Set Aspect to 16:9 (not any of the other options)
    Now save the file.
Click on VTS Menu 1 en (English) and repeat as above.
Click on VTS Menu 2 and repeat as above.
You have now permanently ‘fixed’ the entire contents of the TS folder (the disk image) in 16:9 aspect. Close myDVDedit – you won’t need it again until the next project!
If you have Toast 7 Titanium, open it. ‘Select DVD-Video from VIDEO_TS’. Choose Select from the main Toast window and select your projectname-TS Files folder. You are now ready to burn! You can set the burn speed (2x recommended) before the burn commences. Allow Toast to verify the burn before you eject the DVD-R disk.
If you don’t have Toast 7, then I assume you can burn the projectname-TS Files folder (disk image) via Disk Utility. I say ‘assume’ only because I have never tried it that way.

  • Microsoft Websites using non-standard URL lengths to libraries causing firewall exceptions which prevent service usability

    Hi,
    Myself and
other Microsoft customers have been experiencing a problem behind our corporate firewalls with accessing Microsoft services (Microsoft.com, most Microsoft Support pages, Microsoft Downloads, etc.). I previously had the same problem early August with SharePoint
Online but that appears to have been corrected (at least for now).
    The symptom:
Microsoft Webpage contents load but then the whole pages appear blank (in Chrome and IE 11). The body style is set to "visibility:hidden;".
    The cause:
Many Microsoft websites use scripts/libraries from http://ots.optimize.webtrends.com and these particular URL's are extremely long and in a bizarre way. In this instance, it's sending Chrome and IE 11 webclients to a URL that is 3472 characters in length (that's
over 3.3KB for just the URL) and the URL retrieves a JS function call that's 157 characters in length.
Our corporate firewall is blocking HTTP GET requests to URL lengths greater than a particular length (to prevent infected web-clients from exploiting external web servers). I believe it's set to 2048 characters by default.
    The workaround:
Set useragent string to IE 10 or lower. It doesn't serve pages that include such long URL lengths in these cases.
Modify the style of the page in developer mode and set visibility:visible on the body. Works in IE or Chrome then.
Convince IT to change our corporate firewall to ignore URL Path Length restrictions
I'm convinced that this is a bug from Microsoft for many reasons:
Microsoft claims IE's maximum URL length is 2083 characters. See
    here.
It's arguably poor form to be requiring kilobytes of data just to locate a resource(such as a .js file)
It's wasting Microsoft's bandwidth. Using 3472 bytes to retrieve 157 bytes that run a function (in another .js file from MS) that sets the body style.
It's preventing Microsoft customers that are using IE11 on Windows 7/8, who are behind firewalls that check URL Path Length's, from using Microsoft services.
It does appear to serve content that is unique to the request but there's got to be a better way to accomplish whatever it is MS is actually trying to accomplish with the contents:
    WTOptimize.fireEvent(new WTEvent(WTEvent.CONTROL_PART, WTEvent.STATUS_SUCCESS, {control:"WT3VtgdmLPVOceeXKd8U15PFuYs7rn2UxwpN_67li21nuTEqahNZFhhiLz-KXk~"}));
Is it trying to display the content on modern browsers only after the page has successfully loaded? I'm not sure, but that's what it's looking like to me.

    Hi,
I do need more time to make test for your problem. Please be patient.
    Thanks for your understanding.

  • Create a Custom Icon to Replace the Standard URL Icon in Dock

I would like to change the "springy thing"/URL icon in my dock to a custom picture showing the logo for the webpage for that particular "springy thing." Is it possible to change the spring to a custom icon? If so, how can I do this? Your help is greatly appreciated! Thanks.
    iBook G4   Mac OS X (10.4.8)

Generic urls dragged directly to the "Dock" will use that default icon (or whatever icon is substituted), but every url will use that same icon.
If the goal is to have separate urls in the "Dock", each with its own custom icon, try dragging a url to the "Desktop" first, which should result in the creation of a ".webloc" file. The file can be given a custom icon the usual way via "Get Info", and added to the "Dock", but note that this requires that the ".webloc" file be stored somewhere for that "Dock" shortcut to remain valid.

  • Converting pic from standard to 16:9

I've got a standard .png image that is 364 px wide by 261 height.
I need to make the aspect ration on this image 16:9.
Is this possible without distorting the image?
If yes, how would I do this?
    thank you!!!!!

Only by cropping you will loose some of the image pixels and you don't have many to begin with.. 364x261 is between a 4:3 and a 3:2 aspect ratio not very wide 16:9 is wide you would loose a lot of the image. Crop would be 364x205 pixels

  • How do I convert CS6 Design Standard Apps to CC Apps?

I tried Deactivate, Restart, Activate, did nothing when I opened the equivalent CC App.  I tried changing the language to English (international), did nothing also.  How do I do this?

You don't "convert" CS6 apps to CC apps.
If you have a trial or a subscription to CC, you just download the apps. Do you have a trial or a subscription?

  • Shot in HD on a mini DV tape. Can I convert / copy to standard 4/3 NTSC

A friend wants to edit my HD footage for a standard 4/3 NTSC TV.
The HD footage shows up in a letter box look on the older non HD TVs.
Is there any way to make it editable and to be full screen for non HD TVs.
Via setting it in a certain sequence setting or exporting it a certain type of format or....?
    Thanks

The footage is widescreen. There's no way to display it on a 4:3 TV without either squashing it to 4:3 or cropping it to 4:3.
