How can I conver string from getDisplayLanguage() of the Locale class back to the ISO language code?

Well, Locale.getAvailableLocales() returns a list of all installed locales. So going through that list and comparing each one's getDisplayLanguage() to your string should produce a list of Locales with that language. I wouldn't be surprised if such a list contained more than one Locale, but at any rate you can deal with that sort of thing when you find it out.

Workflow Issue : Email sender display name not as the same as alert email sender

we customized a workflow for sending alert to some user when someone create a new item in the specified document library.
what we already done as below
1. the email sender address has been setup at "Central Administrator", for example "[email protected]".
2. team site title is "Customer Center Platform".
3. we customized a new workflow to trigger system send a email to recipient when someone create a new record.
what we expected is
Recipient will got a email which send from "[email protected]", the email display name should be "Customer Center Platform [[email protected]]", but in this case, the display name is "[email protected]".
it's been our experience that when we used "Alert Me" function, system will send the email and used "Customer Center Platform [[email protected]]" as email display name.

A good general step for strange issues is to renew the iPhoto preference file - quit iPhoto and go to "your user name" ==> library ==> preferences ==> com.apple.iPhoto.plist and trash it - launch iPhoto which creates a fresh new default preference file and reset any personal preferences you have changed and if you have moved the iPhoto library repoint to it. This may help
This does not affect your photos or any database information (keywords, faces, places, ratings, etc) in any way - they are stored in the iPhoto library - the iPhoto preference file simply controls how iPhoto works - which is why renewing it is a good first step.
If that does not cure it backup up your iPhoto library and rebuild it - depress the option and command keys and launch iphoto and use the options there - exact option depends on teh version you have
And always remember - NEVER make any changes of any sort to the structure or content of the iPhoto library - nothing - no deletions - no name changes - nothing

How do I get the names back below the photos in Bridge?

I have lost all names below the photos in Bridge. This is true for all years and moving back to the files all those names have also been removed and replaced with a date in black over the file folders. The information seems to still exist as the name and photo information comes when the photo is right clicked on and file info requested. Is there a way to get the information back to the original form below the photo files?

We'd prefer to make a single call. It's too bad the REST Api doesn't return the data in the same format as the WCF service, which uses the Display Name and not Internal Name. It also includes the hyperlink to the document.

How to change other people's display names back to what they put?

So, I looked it up on the forums, and leaving it blank doesn't work. How do I do this if that doesn't work?

I figured it out. I changed the "bundle display name" under the "Info" tab of the TARGETS and it solved the problem.

How do I convert my smart object back into the layers I made it from?

I was working with 100 layers or so and i converted it to a smart object to work with easier. However some of the layers and layer modes don't interact properly with the background that is separate from the smart object. There doesn't seem to be an option to release layers within the smart object. I attempted to solve the problem by dragging the layers from the smart object editable file but it didn't line up within the original file...extremely frustrating. Any solutions? PS6 BETA Lion OSX

It was created inside the file. They were differnt dimensions though because the layers selected to become a smart object had different bounds beyond the canvas.
The issue was that once I dragged layers from the editable file that was the smart object I would attempt to realign them BUT I have so many adjustments with masks that we'ren't linked so they wouldn't move with my realignment move(even a control+t)...I ended up going back in and relinking them all(which took really long) in order to realign things.
But really it would be so much easier if i could have just clicked re-add layers to file or something.

InputListOfValues return display name but save the id

Hi,
I have a question about inputListOfValues. I have enabled the attribute xxxId in my VO as LOV and created the necessary view accessor. When running in the UI, I can see the LOV popup is launching correctly, and upon selecting the value in LOV, it returns the xxxId to the inputListOfValues input box. However, my requirement is to actually return xxxDisplay name to inputListOfValues inputbox, but when save, it is xxxId which got saved. Any ideas of how to achieve this? Seems like it's a common scenario and I tried to search for some sample codes for it, but could not find it.

The department id is the foreign key in the employee table.

Convert a movie clip back to the main timeline? Help!

I hope you guys can help me with this because this is a work project. Here's the situation:
The entire .fla animation consists of nothing but two really long movie clips. Which are placed on frames 1 and 2 of the main timeline. Now for reasons that are too deep for me to go into explaination about my boss is telling me that I have to have everything main timeline -no movie clips. I've tried copypasting all of the frames but they all paste wayyy to large on the main timeline and they wind up in different places on the stage.
How can I move all of the frames from my two movie clips onto the main timeline without everything breaking? Better yet - is there any way to just convert a movie clip into an .fla?

you're on the right track. note the x,y of your movieclip in frame 1. create a new layer and paste all the frame 1 movieclip's frames into that new layer. click the edit multiple frames icon below your timeline. select all the frames, click an on-stage object. in the properties panel, change the x,y of the all the selected objects to the previously noted values

SharePoint 2010 Web Analytics showing user Display Name and Account Name from the same user

Since July, 16th 2012 the Web Analytics Daily Unique Visitors reports started to show almost the double of visitors we used to have on our Web Application. Here are some of the data (I intentionally deleted the weekend data):

As you may notice the data jumped from around 2.700 unique visitors to around 5.000 unique visitors. As the number of permissioned users remains constant it is pretty odd. I also checked the Number of Page Views report and see no change on its behavior.
The number of page views remained constant.
So I went to look the Top Visitors report and understand why the visitors number almost doubled. The analytics started to count the users Display Name and Account name as two different visitors with a different number of page views. Let me show you an example
from yesterday (July, 25th) Top Visitors report:

As I stated this is an example from July, 25th. If I checked the same report from a period before July, 16th I can only see the users Display Name as "Visitors". No account name is displayed or counted as a different visitor.
About the environment:
We have two SharePoint 2010 farms: a "corporate" and a "enterprise". The corporate farm contains four web servers and a central administration servers with publishing services. The enterprise farm contains two servers running User Profile Services, Search
Services and some others. Our main version is the SP1 with June/2011 Cumulative Update with a few more hotfixes applied.
This behavior on analytics is affecting all web applications (we have more than 20) installed on this farm and my company Support team said that no change were made on SharePoint on the weekend the problem started.
Does anyone have any tip about what is going on?

First of all thanks for your interest on this issue but I don't think it is related to the User Profile or the Active Directory.
I checked both records and there was no change on the Display Names. All the users have "full names" as display names (first + middle + last name) and not logins as SharePoint is displaying on this report.
But I did a test yesterday and checked the results today confirming that just the access been made using a specific server are causing this. Explaining it better:
I have four web servers on my farm named from P01 to P04. Then I created this test script:
Step 1: Change local HOSTS file to point the web application on the server P01.
Step 2: Access site "A"
Step 3: Access site "B"
Step 4: Close the browser.
Step 1: Change local HOSTS file to point the web application on the server P02.
Step 2: Access site "C"
Step 3: Access site "D"
Step 4: Close the browser.
Step 1: Change local HOSTS file to point the web application on the server P03.
Step 2: Access site "E"
Step 3: Access site "F"
Step 4: Close the browser.
Step 1: Change local HOSTS file to point the web application on the server P04.
Step 2: Access site "G"
Step 3: Access site "H"
Step 4: Close the browser.
I asked three users to execute that script. The results: All access to the sites "C" and "D" were registered on Web Analytics with the user account name such as "nt\cmazevedo". All the other sites registered the user Display Name correctly such as "Cinthia
XXXXXXXXXX".
With this test we could isolate the problem just on the server P02. It doesn't occur on the others. Now my support team is trying to find any configuration difference between this server and the other three that could point for the root cause.
I am also looking for some information regarding the service responsible for this task ("transform the account name into a display name") to understand why it doesn't work on one server and works on the others.

Script to set the display name in the Calendar view for iPlanet Calendar
Server(iCS) to the LDAP common name(CN)
By default, iCS uses a user ID(uid) based on an employee number, rather than on
an employee's first and last name, as the calendar ID(calid).
The current release of iCS (5.0 P2) does not create a display name for a
calendar when a user enables a calendar by logging in; by default, it will
list the calid again in the Display Name field of the Calendar view.
For example, if an employee has a calid of "12345," when you click the
Calendar tab to view the calendar, the Display Name will appear as follows:

12345 (12345)

A problem arises when a user tries to subscribe to another user's calendar.
Although the search criteria are based on the calid and the Display
Name, the only information currently stored in the calendar database is the
calid. Therefore, users will be unable to subscribe to another
user's calendar unless they know the calid of that person. The next
patch release for iCS will remedy this problem by using common names(CNs) as
the Display Names. That is, the database will store the CN values
from LDAP for users, and the Calendar view will appear something as follows:

12345 (John Doe)

Until this next release of iCS, there are two options to work around this
problem.

AnneWhy not use two filters in your request? Have something like this:
product_d.name IS NOT NULL
AND
calendar.year IS PROMPTED?
...instead of using a CASE statement? This way you can have both filters show the way they should in a meaningful way.

How can I change the display name of a contact in my address book?

If I open one of my contacts in the Address Book, the display name is the name of the organization. I want it to be the last name of the individual. How can I change that?

If I have not entered anything in the 'Display name' field then the message header (i.e. the title of the business card) follows by default the name of the 'Organization'. I wanted to know if it's possible to change this so that the message header of the business card follows the 'Last name' of the person and not the name of the 'Organization'. Thank you!

How to see the "display name" at workflow e-mail notification?

Hi all,
I would like to see the display name instead of the e-mail address when I receive a workflow e-mail notification. It seems to be something likes that:
From: KM Notification System <[email protected]>
Is it possible to configure the e-mail notification to do it?
PS.: I already tried to configure the e-mail notification at UME configuration (using config tool) and replaced [email protected] with KM Notification System <[email protected]>. But, after restart the server Im still receiving workflow e-mail notification without the display name appearing.

I solved the problem. Its is working now.
I've replaced the notificator.EMAIL* [email protected] with KM Notification System <[email protected]> and it works fine.
