  • Convert SAPSCRIPT forms to PDF

    We need to do a report that can generate several pdfs from a payment run (SAP-FI), so we need to have one pdf  for each payment in the run (they are in SAPSCRIPT form).
    The program that we use is copy of "J_1AF012" and the we use "SX_OBJECT_CONVERT_OTF_PDF" function to obtain the pdf form, but the changes that we did in the standard were:
    a) in the "OPEN_SAPSCRIPT"
    *&      Form  OPEN_SAPSCRIPT

    and aparenttly is due to the cursor in BKPF table is closed (or missing) in some of those functions.
    We use the "open_form" and "close_form" for each payment document, and we could generate only the first pdf and then the program cancel (to the second pdf) with this mentioned error.
    We are on R/3 4.70, 620, and Informix Database.
    Please, could you kindly help us???

    Hello Srini,
    To Migrate Smart Form into Adobe
    Prerequisites
    All graphics that are used in the Smart Form have already been migrated.
    Process:
    Go to the Smart Forms initial screen (transaction SMARTFORMS).
    Choose Utilities --> Migration --> Interactive Form -->Export.
    In the dialog box, enter the name of the Smart Form that you want to migrate, the name of the PDF-based target form, and the target interface. The system suggests the name of the Smart Form as the name for the target form and target interface. You can change these names. The target form and the target interface can have different names.
    Choose Continue.
    The system displays the Settings dialog box where you can flag various options for migration. To activate the selected options and close the dialog box, choose Continue.
    the dialog box Create Object Directory Entry, enter a package for the interface, or save it as a local object.
    Assign the form to a package, or save the form as a local object.
    The system migrates the form.
    If no errors occur during the migration, you can activate the new interface and the PDF-based form. If you see an error message, read Migration with Errors or Warnings below.
    Activating an Interface and PDF-Based Print Form
    If the form was migrated without errors, the system returns a corresponding message. You now have a PDF-based form (consisting of a form and interface) that you can edit. Initially, migrated forms and interfaces are always inactive and therefore have to be activated before a call can be made from the application.
    To activate or edit the form, choose Utilities --> Migration --> Interactive Form --> Edit. The system displays the initial screen of the form builder for PDF-based forms. After you have activated the form, you can "switch runtime" as described below.
    Refer:Migrating Smart Forms
    Pl read the constraints before migrating
    Notes About Migrating Smart Forms
    Hope the above information helps......

  • Standard sapscript form migration to adobe form

    Hello guys,
    Is it possible to migrate standard SAP Script forms to adobe forms?
    If yes then please let me know how ?

    Hi,
    It is possible, but not simple.
    You first have to migrate the SAPscript to Smartforms, then the Smartform to adobe forms.  However, there are significant differences between the way SAPscript works compared to Smartforms so there are always manual changes needed after the migration.  Then there are differences between Smartforms and adobe forms, so more manual changes are needed.
    Once you've done all this it could have been easier to build an adobe form from scratch, based on the design of you SAPscript.
    Regards,
    Nick

  • Migration of Smartforms / SAPScript forms from SAP R/3 4.7 to SAP ECC 6.0

    Dear Members,
    We are in process of re-implementing SAP with SAP ECC 6.0 from SAP R/3 version 4.7
    We have created many layouts using SAPScripts & SAP Smartforms in SAP R/3.
    My question is, are there any migration tools available in SAP ECC 6.0 in the form of function modules, BAPI etc to convert existing forms of Smartforms / SAPScripts created in SAP R/3 4.7 to SAP ECC 6.0 ?
    Or do we have to design all existing forms created in R/3 once agin in SAP ECC 6.0 ?
    We request our dear members to share their views on the above mentioned problems faced by us in the re-implementation project
    Thanking you,
    With best regards,
    K. Rangarajan

    Dear Friend,
    As per our consultant's view, we are not upgrading from SAP R/3 4.7 to SAP ECC. We are re-implementing; that is, we are going to implement SAP ECC as if we are doing it for the first time ever in our company. This is due to drastic organizational changes happend in our company. So, upgrading from R/3 is not feasible solution, according to our consultants.
    So, we have to re-configure all settings in SPRO manually in ECC based on our new business scenario. There will be new company codes, plants, business area etc., which will be totally different from existing R/3 system.
    But the template definitions of the existing forms maintained in SAPScript / Smartforms will remain same.
    There are 50+ forms (boith SAPScript / Smartforms put together) and manual re-designing of all those forms will be tedious within the scheduled date of GO Live.
    In that case, to avoid re-designing, what is the best method that can prevent manual re-design of Smartforms?
    For SAPscripts, I got some good news from our some of our dear forum members.
    Thanking you,
    With best regards,
    K. Rangarajan

  • Filling out a form in adobe reader

    Im filling out a form in adobe reader for a scholarship. It was going well until I hit a certain section. Instead of typing the words horizontally, it was typing them vertically. Is there any easy way to fix this? I dont want to have to handwrite the entire thing.
    Thanks
    tutorben

    That's an interesting form. It looks like it started out as an XFA form that was created in LiveCycle Designer, and somehow converted to an acroform on a Mac. Whatever the process was resulted in setting the rotation on some of the field to 90 degrees. As Mike said, there's nothing you can do about it with just Reader.
    If you had Acrobat, you could set the proper rotation for the fields. If you really want to do this and don't have Acrobat, you can install the trial version of Acrobat 10. Or you could try contacting the creator of the form and get them to fix it.

  • Display sapscript form in Web Dynpro Java

    Hi,
    Is it possible to print an existing sapscript form i.e. PO from ECC to my Web Dynpro application? I have successfully created a Web Dynpro Java application to create POs but now have a requirement to display or print the PO?
    Can someone provide me with a sample code? I'm hoping to be able to do this without using Adobe.
    Again, thanks for all your help.
    Best regards,
    Jaypee

    Hi mark,
    Without Adobe also u can display PO order.
    Below is the code to open a HTML window from WDJava, with data from WDJava...
    Inside DoInit()
    IWDAttributeInfo attr1 =
    wdContext.getNodeInfo().getAttribute("htmlfile");
    ISimpleTypeModifiable mtype1 = attr1.getModifiableSimpleType();
    IWDModifiableBinaryType btype1 = (IWDModifiableBinaryType) mtype1;
    btype.setFileName(attr.getName() + ".html");
    btype.setMimeType(WDWebResourceType.HTML);
    _contentType = mtype;
    Where htmlfile is a context attribute of type binary... and do a global declaration like this
    ISimpleTypeModifiable _contentType = null; (This declaration can be done at the end of your view's coding between Begin Others and End Others)
    Now,
    inside on action print
    public void onActionPrintData(com.sap.tc.webdynpro.progmodel.api.IWDCustomEvent wdEvent, java.lang.String videoName )
    //@@begin onActiondisplayVideo(ServerEvent)
    byte[] content = new byte4028;
    try {
    content = this.displayPrint().getBytes("UTF-8");
    wdContext.currentContextElement().setHtmlfile(content);
    wdContext.currentPrintElement().setAttrUrl(
    _contentType.format(content));
    //Where content is loaded with data from displayPrint() method, which is holding the HTML *page to be displayed to the user *
    IWDWindow win =
    wdThis
    .wdGetAPI()
    .getComponent()
    .getWindowManager()
    .createNonModalExternalWindow(WDWebResource
    .getWebResource(content, WDWebResourceType.HTML)
    .getURL(),"ShowVideo");
    win.setWindowSize(445,460);
    win.removeWindowFeature(WDWindowFeature.ADDRESS_BAR);
    win.removeWindowFeature(WDWindowFeature.TOOL_BAR);
    win.removeWindowFeature(WDWindowFeature.MENU_BAR);
    //win.open();
    win.show();
    // wdComponentAPI.getMessageManager().reportSuccess("444444444444");
    } catch (Exception e) {
    wdComponentAPI.getMessageManager().reportException ("Unable to open window"+e,false);
    //@@end
    Now finally, design your HTML Page inside the method displayPrint() like this
    public java.lang.String displayPrint( java.lang.String strVideoName )
    //@@begin displayPrint()
    String htmlcontent=null;
    htmlcontent="content what you want to show in print window";
    use script inside the html content to do a print... like window.print();
    return htmlcontent;
    //@@end

  • I am trying to fill in a form in adobe exportpdf. How can I fill in numbers and symbols? Parenthesis, dollar sign etc.

    I am trying to fill in a form in adobe exportpdf. How can I fill in numbers and symbols? Parenthesis, dollar sign etc.

    Hi;
    Can you provide a little more detail, maybe a screenshot?  ExportPDF only converts PDFs to other file types, what exactly are you using to try to fill out the form?  The two Adobe form filling tools I would recommend would be:
    1) Adobe Reader - a free download you can install on your computer and can be used to fill out most any form.  For numbers, symbols etc it can depend on the field you are entering data into, some fields have restrictions, but you would use those keys on your keyboard, if nothing is entered then that field probably has restrictions.
    2) Adobe Fill & Sign: https://cloud.acrobat.com/fillsign - using the Fill & Sign tab on the acrobat.com website you can fill out most PDFs.  To enter numbers, symbols, etc you would simply add them using your keyboard.
    Thanks,
    Josh

  • I've created a PDF form using Adobe acrobat. I created the forms from a PDF that I made using pages

    I've created a PDF form using Adobe acrobat. I created the forms from a PDF that I made using pages and word on Mac running Mountain lion. How do I allow the user of the form to insert JPEG files when filling out the form and how do I allow the user to add more fields or groups of fields as needed.

    The type of form yo're describing is possible if you create it in LiveCycle Designer. It may also be possible in Acrobat, but there are certain restrictions. The type of form is known as a dynamic XFA form. LiveCycle Designer is not available on the Mac, so you'd have to install the software on a Windows machine and learn how to create this type of form. The LiveCycle Designer forum here is a good resource for getting more help.
    Reader 11 now supports creating new pages using templates with a form that you create in Acrobat (Acroform). This requires some JavaScript programming. It also adds support for using a button to display a page from a PDF, which can be an image or anything else a PDF can be. So the user would click a button, be prompted to import a page from an existing PDF, and the button (or a different button) displays it as its icon. This would require the user to convert the image to PDF first, which is relatively easy these days (e.g., using Preview on the Mac, or Word on Mac/Windows). This too involves a bit of JavaScript programming, but it's very simple and straightforward.

  • Priting same SAPscript form on different printer: different results

    Hi,
    my client has different printer models and is claiming now that the forms appear different.
    Do I have to create a SAPscript form for each printer type?
    Is there a way to use the same form for all printer models?
    Would we have the same problem using SMARTFORM?
    Thanks for your help in advance!!!
    thomas

    Hi.
    You should not have one SAPscript for each printer type. Thats not really a good idea. I would first of all try to do some tests with different device types on your output devices.
    I don't think converting to SMARTFORM is the way to go if you don't feel like you have to. It is much easier to experiment with the device types.
