Validations in OB28 to display message in FB08 and FBRA?

Hi,
I need to put a Validation such that transactions FB08 and FBRA should not execute if Document Type (BKPF-BLART) is 'P0'. I wrote the below validation at Line item level in OB28 but it is not working. Would appreciate if someone can tell me where i am going wrong.
Prerequiste:
SYST-TCODE = 'FB08' OR SYST-TCODE = 'FBRA'
Check:
BKPF-BLART (is not equal to) 'P0'
Message:
Error: Cannot reverse document type 'P0'

Hi All,
I think the problem lies in check statement. as the validation works when i change the check to
SYST-UNAME (is not equal to) 'My username'
Also,please keep in mind that Message is displayed only when pre-requiste is true and check is false.
Kash: The scenario is not to allow system to reverse any documents which are posted with doc. type P0.
Sanil K Bhandari: can you please elaborate, i checked the view VWTYGB01 in SM30 and Boolean Class 9 only has only one BKPF entry, and in that one field is '*'. What does this mean?
Alex ice: Can you please elaborate where do i use the BTE in OB28?

No. These t codes can be used for any account. With FBRA, you reset the clearing document (the document that cleared your original entry that has open item(s)). With FB08, you reverse a document. You cannot reverse the document directly with FB08 if the document contains at least one open item which is cleared OR if the document is sourced from another module (MM, SD, etc.). If the reversal is not possible due to open item(s) being there in the document that are already cleared, you first reset the clearing document using FBRA, and then you reverse the original document using FB08.

Making message number blank for validation in ob28

Hi all,
I'm having a requirment to make the message number and message text to blank for validations in ob28.
when i'm trying to edit by default it is taking message number as 000.i want it to be blank.

Please explain the rationale. If the outcome of a validation is "false", the user is supposed to be informed via an error message that you assign here, and the document cannot be posted without correcting the error.
What is the point in not issuing an error message?

FI Validation Issue - OB28, GGB0

Can any body help me in the following validation -
Requirement - I'm trying to create a validation so that only specific document types can post to specific GL accounts.
I'm implementing this requirement by line item validation.
I started with the simple validation as below -
Prerequisite - BKPF-BLART = 'S1'
Check - BSEG-HKONT <> '0000343433' (ABAP not equal to since can not be displayed between BSEG-HKONT and the account number)
Message - Error Message
It is not working. I have also tried the below -
Prerequisite - BSEG-HKONT NOT IN ZTEST
Check - BKPF-BLART = 'S1'
Message - Error Message
where ZTEST is a set of GL accounts. It is not working either.
I have even generated everything by program RGUGBR00. I tried it by setting breaking point also; it satisfies the condition but message does not show up.
Also system is not allowing me to put something like this -
Prerequisite - BKPF-BLART = 'S1'
Check - BSEG-HKONT NOT IN ZTEST
Message - Error Message

Calendar UI Component-Overriding Validation messages of mindate and maxdate

I am using UI Calendar component in one of my apps. I am setting the mindate and maxdate properties with the span of 2 years. The validation is working fine and showing the following error messages for min and max validations respectively.
Select a date before 02/05/2008
Select a date after 02/05/2006
I want to override these validation error messages to custom messages.
I believe this would a 'property' in one of the '.properties' files. Can someone help me to identify the property and the .properties file?
OR
Any other way of doing it?

Unfortunately this solution doesn't work.
I have created MessageArea MSA_MESSAGES in view V_MAIN on the bottom of the page.
When I bound MSA_MESSAGES-VISIBLE property to the context, the framework automatically displays standard MessageArea on top of the page (although I put my MSA_MESSAGES on the bottom).
The same scenario happens when I do not bind MSA_MESSAGES-VISIBLE to the context, but I put the following code in the wddomodifyview:
DATA: l_rcl_ui_message_area TYPE REF TO cl_wd_message_area.
DATA: lv_visibility TYPE wdui_visibility.
lv_visibility = '01'.
l_rcl_ui_message_area ?= view->get_element( id = 'MSA_MESSAGES' ).
l_rcl_ui_message_area->set_visible( lv_visibility ).

That issue can be caused by an extension that isn't working properly.
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Why is Mail 6.2 not displaying messages from my Exchange account?

I have a new 13" MacBook Air running Mountain Lion and I'm noticing that most of the time my Mail inbox is not displaying messages from my work Exchange account; however, it does display messages correctly for my Gmail account. I've included a screen shot of what I'm experiencing.

I have the same problem, as does a coworker. It happens, for instance, if I click on another mailbox (such as Junk) then go back to the inbox. Our company uses Exchange. Quitting mail usually fixes it. A rebuild of the mailbox will too. Only happens on my Mac at work, not my Mac at home (connected via VPN).
Another problem I have is with mail not syncing. Mail I have deleted from another device (such as on my Mac at home or my iPad) does not get deleted from my inbox at work. Sometimes they'll go away when I click on them. Other times they won't go away and the only way to delete them is to rebuild the mailbox.
And lately I have had problems with attachments. Attachments sent from my Exchange account at work show up as .eml attachments in my iCloud account and mime attachments on my iPad or as a string of characters (20-30), not as an attachment. This happens whether sent from home or work.
I have our IT department looking into the third problem (which is the most vital one for me). I'll report the other two annoying problems and see what they can figure out.

My iphone 5 has been saying this for days now. Yes I have recently purchased a motorola ear piece for easy talking while walking, but i have also used a 10ft cord purchased at walmart for months now and no display before the motorola. now even without anything plugged in ,I still get the display message on my phone saying" the cord or accessory is not capitable with this iphone and may not be reliable with this iphone.
what DO I do ?! is there something I can do without going to either Sprint or Apple for help.... will this be damaging to my iphone ?! HELP before its too late.

Try resetting your iPhone. Hold the on/off and home buttons together for about 10 seconds till the Apple logo appears.

Transaction code to display exception messages by material and plant

Hi,
Is there a transaction code or standard report in SAP to display exception messages by material and plant? I see the exception messages by individual material and plant in MD04 but I need to see a collective view. I tried Collective access in MD04 and MD46 but they are not giving me exception groups but I need exceptions listed out by material and plant.

I have never seen such a report.
MD06 does support fine tuning the output display, once the list has been generated. If you use this feature, the resulting display is the entire list as created by selecting the initial parameters (such as exception group), but with the specific items that contain your selected message highlighted. If you are addressing the messages interactively, you can select the review (glasses) screens, and scroll through just the ones which contain your selected exception message(s).
To try this, execute MD06. Select the groups as necessary. Execute. Wait for the list. Now, immediately, select 'search' (binoculars). Experiment with the output.
As mentioned in the previous post, if MD06 does not meet your needs, you will need to have a custom report written.

af:validateLongRange displaying message: How to insert 'new line' ?

While using <af:validateLongRange> tag we need to display message in a well formatted way, we have to display each statement in a new line.For eg. : message as displayed by property 'messageDetailNotInRange' must come in three different new lines not as a continuous statement.I tried inserting '\n' escape sequence for new line, but it dint work.I tried spacing the statements but that also is not working out.
Any idea how can we get this message displayed separately in three rows rather than in a continuous statement ?

It dint insert line breaks in the message.Do i need to write it differently?
Above html code is modified once i posted it, it has inserted line breaks here for the br tag i added , but in my actual .jsff page it did not . I can only see br tag displayed as part of message and no new line got inserted.
I dont see an option to attach a file with the post so that I can show the code to you.

Why previously displayed message is coming again?

Then, the user clicks OK button, and selects correct option, then user will navigated to view_2 and user will enter data, clciks submits button, then i am throwing a successful submission message on view_3, fine. But, along with successful message, user is getting the previously displayed message (INCORRECT PICK) as well!!
How can fix it? Why still the previous message INCORRECT PICK is persisting there? why system is retaining it?

Do you use the messge area to throw messages in?
If this is the case, please try to reset the message queue by using
the message manager clear_messages method.
if you are using a special node say "Messages", check if you go over
the elements of your node. You should make this node's cardinality 1:1
and select one attribute at the time.

Mail [snow leop] stops displaying messages in viewer window until I open a new viewer window.
That is the message text in the riight window section does not show.
I have looked for an item in PREFERENCES and find nothing relating to this.
This is an issue that occures more often now.
What need I do?

You have managed to close Mail's preview pane. To reopen it you can double click on the bottom of Mail's window (the thick border with a dot in the middle) or drag it up to reveal the message preview area.

Send Display Message to SPA5xx or SPA3xx Series phones from SIP Server

I have the program samples to update a CISCO SPA5xx phone via HTTP URI. Unfortunately that URI is not accessible via NAT.
I would like to be able to update the display from the Dial Plan (ie as the call routing progresses). We use FreeSwitch, but really this is just a generic SIP question. Is there a SIP INFO method or SIP HEADER or other way for the server to signal a display message update to the SPA5xx series of phones via SIP?
FreeSwitch has a send_display function. However it has only been coded for SNOM and POLYCOM support. We can't have that!

Admin Guide contain the information that text messages have format described in RFC3428 (it mention not only how to disable/enable the feature) and I didn't said just RTFM but copied relevant part of such documentation to my response. But I'm not willing to waste our time with the discussion about "has been RTFM, or not has been RTFM".
Now I understand you are not interested in format of SIP packets, you are interested rather in code sample that can send such kind of messages.
The Asterisk can send such messages understood by Cisco Phone. You can call sendtext() application from dial plan. For the source code of it see file chan_sip.c, function declared as static int sip_sendtext(struct ast_channel *ast, const char *text)
It may help to you.
