Convert to jpeg ouput problem
When I convert eps to jpeg the output document has a checkerboard in all blank areas. I am new, it's probabaly easy, but help anyways. Thanks!
Thanks! It was a transparency issue. Just need to select properly when "saving as".

Subject: Convert to jpeg ouput problem
It helps to be more descriptive when you post and tell us exactly what you are doing.
That being said, I guess that you are going to file>save for web & devices. The checkerboard that you are seeing simply means that those areas are transparent.

IGS COnverted BMP Image upload problem in SE78
HI Friends,
I Converted the JPEG image into BMP ormat by using IGS. It is converting properly. i am able to see the BMP image. When i am trying to upload it through the SE78 i am getting the short dump.
If convert it manually, i am able to upload the image. i did not get the any difference between these two including file size, width and height.
I attached the shortdump and converted image file as an attachment. Can anyone give me inputs where i am missing the target.
Runtime error : COMPUTE_INT_TIMES_OVERFLOW
Exception : CX_SY_ARITHMETIC_OVERFLOW
Thanks ,
Srinivas BhavanamHi Oisin,
Sorry for the Late Reply. I am using IGS 6.40 with solaris system.
If i am converting the image from my desktop i am getting 96DPI resolution. Where as if i am doing it from IGS i am getting 30682172 DPI resolution.
I am using SAP 4.7. Is it the latest patch level or latest IGS supported.
Short Dump :
Runtime Error COMPUTE_INT_TIMES_OVERFLOW
Exception CX_SY_ARITHMETIC_OVERFLOW
Occurred on 03.03.2010 at 11:04:30
Whole number overflow on multiplication.
What happened?
Error in ABAP application program.
The current ABAP program "SAPLSTXBITMAPS" had to be terminated because one of
the
statements could not be executed.
This is probably due to an error in the ABAP program.
What can you do?
Print out the error message (using the "Print" function)
and make a note of the actions and input that caused the
error.
To resolve the problem, contact your SAP system administrator.
You can use transaction ST22 (ABAP Dump Analysis) to view and administer
termination messages, especially those beyond their normal deletion
date.
Error analysis
An exception occurred. This exception is dealt with in more detail below
. The exception, which is assigned to the class 'CX_SY_ARITHMETIC_OVERFLOW',
was neither
caught nor passed along using a RAISING clause, in the procedure
"FILL_BMFILE_FROM_BMP" "(FORM)"
Since the caller of the procedure could not have expected this exception
to occur, the running program was terminated.
The reason for the exception is:
In the current program "SAPLSTXBITMAPS", multiplying the numbers 1207959552 and
100 (using the operation * or 'MULTIPLY') resulted in a value
greater than 2147483647 or smaller than -2147483648. This
results in a whole number overflow.
How to correct the error
The exception must either be prevented, caught within the procedure
"FILL_BMFILE_FROM_BMP"
"(FORM)", or declared in the procedure's RAISING clause.
To prevent the exception, note the following:
You may be able to split the process into separate components, so that
the values generated are smaller.
If the error occurred in one of your own programs or in an SAP program
that you modified, try to correct it yourself.
If you cannot solve the problem yourself, please send the
following documents to SAP:
1. A hard copy print describing the problem.
To obtain this, select the "Print" function on the current screen.
2. A suitable hardcopy prinout of the system log.
To obtain this, call the system log with Transaction SM21
and select the "Print" function to print out the relevant
part.
3. If the programs are your own programs or modified SAP programs,
supply the source code.
To do this, you can either use the "PRINT" command in the editor or
print the programs using the report RSINCL00.
4. Details regarding the conditions under which the error occurred
or which actions and input led to the error.

Convert to JPEG action fails when packaged as application
I am having problems with an automator workflow I have set up. The gist of the process is that I specify some images, both tiff and jpeg (or possibly all tiff), and the workflow copies and resizes them into thumbnail, medium, and full size images, and then filters out any images that were already JPEG, and converts the rest to JPEGs, using the "Change type of images" action. It then uploads them to a webspace to be used by a program that only accepts JPEGs.
This all works wonderfully, until I package the workflow as an application instead of leaving it as an open workflow. When I do that, the workflow processes normally, and says it completed successfully, but uploads the TIFF files, without having converted them to JPEG. I've watched the folder actions, and it appears to do something during the convert to JPEG step, but simply ends up recreating the TIFF.
This happens both when the filter step is inserted (that sorts TIFFs and JPEGs) and when it is removed, but again, only when the workflow is packaged as an application.
I have attempted to mask the workflow by creating a second workflow which simply runs the first, and then packaging that one as an application, but when the second workflow is run, either as a workflow or as an app, it appears to produce the same problem.
This happens in both 10.4 and 10.5, on multiple computers.
Any help would be appreciated. You don't mention specifically what you are doing, but if it is something like using "Watch Me Do", that is notoriously unreliable. If you are using "Run Shell Script", the action runs with a default environment and does not contain anything from your user setup, such as $PATH.

Hi. Im having serious problems to convert a jpeg file into a 1-bit bmp file (2 colors image).
Im using FileSaver.saveAsBmp(String t) but what i get is a bmp image, but with 16M colors, but what i want is a 2 colors bmp file. A black and white image.
Does anybody know how to do this? Im really getting crazy with ths problem.

Hi,
I opened up a JPEG, and obtained the pixel information using BufferedImage.getRGB(). Then I converted the pixel information in 32 bit integers.
Then I wrote a class to read the string of bits and convert them into an array of integers (to turn into the equivalent JPEG image). I did a comparison of the two arrays (the one originally obtained from the 1st image and the one that I got from the string to turn into the second image. They were identical.
Then using the second array and the JPEG encoder class, I created a JPEG, no problems. The two images look very similar, but they are different. the second image seems to have a different color range than the first. I assumed that if the pixel arrays were identical, I would get a JPEG that looked like my source. Am I miss understanding something?
Basically I need to obtain the bit information from the JPEG (0s and 1s). Is there some way I can obtain bit information for the entire JPEG?
Thanks,
JacobAs long as your photo is small enough, it should go through Yahoo mail.
How large is your JPEG?
JPEGs directly from cameras are usually too large to e-mail without resizing.
BTW, is this a Photoshop Elements or Premiere Elements question? You are on the Premiere Elements forum. -

Good day,
I have installed Acrobat DC, and would like to combine 2 files. One is excel allready converted to PDF - No problem. The other one is from Pastel mailed as PDF.
When trying to merge the files, this file ask for a Password. No password was issued from the setup or mail?Good day abrieb93050306,
I can understand your concern, however can you please let me know that are you able to open both the PDF files ( the one you converted form excel to pdf & the other pdf that was mailed to you ) individually without using any password?
As it asks for the password, it means that the postal mailed PDF is password protected. You can ask for the password from the sender of the postal mail & then try to combine the files.
Please follow the steps in the provided KB doc.to combine the files : Combine files into single PDF | Adobe Acrobat DC tutorials
This will probably resolve your issue.
Let me know if you still experience any issue.

Hello briggiebunny
If iTunes can read the movie files, then you will need to create an iPad version by going to the drop down menu File > Create New Version > Create iPad or Apple TV Version and then syncing that newly created file.
iTunes: Videos may be unable to sync to iPhone, iPad, or iPod

How do I convert a jpeg file into a pdf file?
I would like to be able to convert a jpeg file, both in Photoshop and outside of Photoshop, into a pdf file. How do I go about doing that?
If you don't have Acrobat, you'll need to do it in Photoshop. File>Save as>Photoshop PDF. If it is a cmyk file, you'll need to convert it to rgb first.

I am hoping for a quick way of converting images (jpeg etc) into a vector.
Is this possible?
Thanks
EddieTry this:
http://vectormagic.com/home
It won't work with really complex images or photos, but if you have something like a logo, it can work well. You'll need to edit the vectors it generates to smooth out some bumps and incorrect nodes, but editing a vector is much easier than drawing the whole thing from scratch.
Hope this helps!
