Converting ANSI 850 messages in Seeburger from XML to EDI
Hi,
I really wish for your help with regard to the following error:
[Error:ID=2012;LEVEL=3] InhouseDocReader doSyntaxCheck() Offset[2]: Could only identify segment S_N1 as dirty! (Counter exceeds)DESCRIPTION: InhouseDocReader: Syntax check of replacement file with some errors could not proberly check the syntax. DocReader given up after several tries.[Error:ID=3069;LEVEL=3] SegmentDescription: checkAndResetChildrenCounter() not enough repetitions of the segment D_98 found: 0 instead of 1 offset :1099
DESCRIPTION: SegmentDescription Warning: Not enough repetitions of the segment D_98 ([not specified]/[not specified]).
I am not sure if I was missing some segments or if I need to omit some segments/elements in the content of the 850.
Is there a way to generate a generic 850 file message in Seeburger (like in EDIFECS specbuilder where you could generate a sample data) that I could compare with my test data?
Your help is very much appreciated.
Thanks a ton!
Thanks so much for your responses.
What I have seen so far is that if <G_SN1> contains two entries of <S_N1> then the error above is generated (Could only identify segment S_N1 as dirty!).
For instance,
<G_SN1><S_N1><D_98>VN</D_98><D_66>1</D_66><D_67>0000010003</D_67></S_N1> <S_N1><D_98>ST</D_98><D_66>1</D_66><D_67>0000010003</D_67></S_N1></G_SN1>
Is there a way to modify the mapping in Seeburger in such a way that it would allow/accept two occurrence of <S_N1> under <G_SN1>?

How convert date/time from xml in xdp(Designer)?
Hi, i want to convert date/time format from xml in Designer, date/time value in xml is NOT in common format YYYY-MM-DD (if is in a common format i can do this with pattern)
I have a "DateTime" Field in Xdp can get from Xml date and time:
In XML <DateTime>DD-MM-YYYY</DateTime> i want to convert in XDP in DateTime Field in "DD-April-YYYY"
Can i do this?You can do this way..
Bind the date field to your XML tag.
Set the display pattern for the date field.
In the initialize event of the date field place the following code.
Set JavaScript as language.
var dtStr = this.rawValue;
var pos1=dtStr.indexOf("-");
var pos2=dtStr.indexOf("-",pos1+1);
var strMonth=dtStr.substring(0,pos1);
var strDay=dtStr.substring(pos1+1,pos2);
var strYear=dtStr.substring(pos2+1);
//Assign the formatted value to the Date field.
this.rawValue = strYear + "-" + strMonth + "-" + strDay;
Thanks

4.7 proxy can accept 10 or more messages in the same xml from XI ?
Hello All,
I have to send message from XI to R/3 using ABAP proxy. In the XI , the target structure in mapping is 1: unbounded. How does the ABAP proxy handles if there are 10 xml messages coming in from XI for example? I have an R/3 version of 4.7. Please suggest some examples or blogs which has the same kind of requirement. I would be very glad if I get some code samples too.
Thanks
RickyRicky,

Hi All
This is Nitin, I have the requirement like this..
I have xml and want to get pdf report on base of xml file.
To do this i want to use .NET environment using c# from where i can call the template and supply the xml file and get my report. I am using windows plateform.
From different sources i got a clue that Adobe Output designer and Certral pro server can solve the problem, but dont know how to proceed, becoz dont have evalution copy of the software.
In the pdf report i have following requirement:
- toc (table of content)
- different types of graph (pie, bar etc)
- populated from xml
- different format report has to be generated using a master template depending on xml file and data.
nitinWe have started using Adobe Output designer and Central pro server recently to get PDF from XML .So far so good. This software was bought by our company. I have no idea abt the trial version.Contact Adobe/Four Point Solutions

B2b unable to pick the file from xml gateway
Hi All,
I am taking a scenario where B2B picks the files from xml gateway and drop the files in FTP folder. I modified the XML gateway inbound and outbound, i has given my user credentials(unmae, host ,pwd ,sid, port). In agreement in the place of internal delivery channel i has given XML gateway outbound.
Still its unable to pick the files from xml gateway.
Clarify my understanding please
While b2b picks the files from xml gateway, It will pick from ECX_Inbound or ECX_Outbound?
Here i am attaching the logs:

RFC problem: could not get functionname from XML requst (sic)
I'm developing an interface that attempts to call a receiver RFC on an SAP 4.6c system. It's a very small simple interface, and it's all working until it tries to call the RFC. The error is
Exception caught by adapter framework: error while processing message to remote system:com.sap.aii.af.rfc.core.client.RfcClientException: could not get functionname from XML requst: com.sap.aii.af.rfc.RfcAdapterException: failed to read funtionname from XML document: missing namespace declara
I've created an RFC channel, which is green in the adapter monitoring. The RFC imports without a problem, and appears in my interface mapping. My mapping program converts to the RFC message type (as evidenced in sxmb_moni. I have a receiver agreement referencing the interface mapping, which must be working as the mapping is called.
Could anyone point me to what else I could check? I saw a post about the same error message, where the respondent found something in the logs which helped them Could you expand on what you found, and in which log please? Any pointers as to which logging options I could switch on and check would be gratefully received.
Regards
Alan GrahamThanks for the responses.
I set up a communications channel of type RFC, which is
showing green in the adapter monitor. If I deliberately
break it, eg by changing the password, the adapter shows
as red in the monitor. I assume therefore that the
adaptor settings are correct.
The XML going to the adapter looks correct AFAIK. My problem is that I don't know enough about the requied XML to know if what I'm seeing in the logs is sufficient. In SXMB_MONI, in the 'call adapter' section of a failed message, the outbound binding includes
<SAP:ToInterfaceNamespace>urn:sap-com:document:sap:rfc:functions</SAP:ToInterfaceNamespace>/code]
Also, the interface determination SOAP header, in the MAIN section includes
[code]<SAP:Receiver>
<SAP:Party agency="" scheme="" />
<SAP:Service>D04</SAP:Service>
<SAP:Interface namespace="urn:sap-com:document:sap:rfc:functions">Z_MPU_3PSCE_FREIGHT_UPLOAD</SAP:Interface>
</SAP:Receiver>
These are the correct values for the RFC name and the namespace, AFAIK.
I'm using an interface mapping (which uses and ABAP class as the mapping program) which references the interface of the RFC. The logs tell me this works, ie, the class is called and the resulting XML appears in the payload of the response.

Flatten to/Unflatten from XML on ARM
Using LV 9 with the ARM module on an EK-LM3S8962.
I want to use XML on the embedded target. The data to be converted is a group of arrays in a cluster. The cluster is a type def in the embedded project. The Flatten to/Unflatten from XML VIs from the ARM pallet are used to convert the cluster to XML and back. This works OK on a Windows deployment but the application build for the ARM deployment fails with this message:
Status: Error
linking...
.\Obj\LabVIEW.axf: Error: L6218E: Undefined symbol FXPLoad32 (referred from ccgxmlsupport.o).
Target not created
I suspect this has something to do with the schema. Does a copy of the schema (LVXMLSchema.xsd) need to be included in the build specifications? If so, how does one add this to the project?
Thanx
JohnCSAdded a fixed point calculation as suggested and now the VI builds and runs OK.
So far so good, but the String to XML primitive does not generate the correct XML string. In my cluster containing two arrays of strings, none of the control labels have been encoded and the array dimensions are encoded as zero. As a consequence, the XML string will not be decoded back to the cluster correctly. In the Windows environment, the same control encodes the labels and dimension sizes.
Is there something wrong with my type def'ed control or with the Flatten to XML primitive as well?
Here's a copy of my project including the build specification but without the built file.

Developing custom translator for converting xml to edi
Hi Gurus,
I am trying to justify using Oracle B2B if my only requirement is to be able to translate data from flat files to EDI and vice versa.
My use case is
Application Data ------------> ESB ---------------------------------------> Custom Translator --------------------------> EDI Document
........................(flat file).................(flat file converted to XML)........................ convert xml to edi
Is this solution possible. If so, can somebody share details about how to write these custom translators.
tia,
AmitThanks so much for your responses.
What I have seen so far is that if <G_SN1> contains two entries of <S_N1> then the error above is generated (Could only identify segment S_N1 as dirty!).
For instance,
<G_SN1><S_N1><D_98>VN</D_98><D_66>1</D_66><D_67>0000010003</D_67></S_N1> <S_N1><D_98>ST</D_98><D_66>1</D_66><D_67>0000010003</D_67></S_N1></G_SN1>
Is there a way to modify the mapping in Seeburger in such a way that it would allow/accept two occurrence of <S_N1> under <G_SN1>? -
Unwanted character codes (&; etc) from XML displaying in Flash
I have a static, UTF-8 encoded XML document that gets loaded
by a custom movie clip class into an array and then items from the
array are read and displayed in a dynamic text field that is
attached to the movie clip, depending on which one is rolled over.
Everything works perfectly except that an ampersand displays as
& apostrophes display as ' and quotes display as
", even if I use the special character inside the XML.
Higher level character codes actually display properly, so
character codes for circle shaped bullets, registered trade mark
symbol, Greek characters, etc, work! But a blessed ampersand does
not.
Setting the dynamic text field to either read as HTML or not
read as HTML makes no difference.
Using CDATA tags in the XML makes no difference. In fact,
when I use CDATA tags and enclose text containing a special
character code, Flash goes the extra step of converting the
ampersand in the special character code to &!! So
" becomes ".
Using & just gets converted to &. So Flash's
XML parser is parsing the & to an ampersand, which Flash's
text parser then converts to &. WHY? And how do I stop it?
I found the function below to clean out the unwanted
characters, and it works, but it seems a ridulous length to go to.
And I probably have to extend it to accomodate whatever other
characters don't work in Flash, but I don't know what those might
be until I encounter them.
Also, the function works whether I use a special character in
the XML or not. ie, if I put an actual "&" into the XML, this
function will display "&" and if I put & into the XML,
it will still display as "&".
Thanks for any help.Have a look at this:

How to get string value from xml in JSF??
In JSF How to get string value from xml, .ini and properties file. I want to get string value from xml or text to JSF
Just use the appropriate API's for that. There are enough API's out which can read/parse/write XML, ini and properties files. E.g. JAXP or DOM4J for xml files, INI4J for ini files and Sun's own java.util.Properties for propertiesfiles.
JSF supports properties files as message bundle and resource bundle so that you can use them for error messages and/or localization. -
How to retrieve image from XML file
Hi All,
I am new to XML. So any best guidance is appreciated.
The application requirement is to display image retrived from uploaded xml file in file upload section of our application. And store that image in database.
In my XML file , images & strings & numbers & booleans are there . I am able to save everything in database except images .
I am using JSF, Seam & Hibernate combination. In my Hibernate entity class i took BLOB datatype for image.
I am using following tags in my Xhtml file to display image
<s:graphicImage value="#{hibernateentitybean.picBlobtype}" height="200" width="200">
<s:transformImageSize width="200" height="200" />
<s:transformImageType contentType="image/jpeg"/>
But image is not displayed in Xhtml file
I am using org.w3c.dom.Document for retrieving node name & corresponding value in that node in XML file.
I am getting code like below for Image when i am logging all values from XML files in my bean class .
x0lGQRQAAAABAAAAAAAAAFJHAQARAAAAVwBhAHQAZQByACAAbABpAGwAaQBlAHMALgBqAHAAZwAAAP/Y/+AAEEpGSUYAAQIBAGAAYAAA/+0YLl
I want to convert this value to image. So i can convert image to bytes and store in BLOB.
Can anyone guide me ? or any other approach .
Thanks in advance for any reply.

The package sun.misc is private to Sun (Oracle now of course). It is undocumented and may change or be removed altogether in a future release. There is a good free open source Base64 decoder in the Jakarta Commons Codec library. -
