Converting PDF files with tables back to Microsoft Word without lossing the format

I am trying to convert a large amount of PDF files that has tables on them (some are filliable Forms). I need to convert the files to Microsoft Word 10. I have tried to convert the files by using the export option but it would lose the format and the tables would go crazy. Is there a software that I could buy or a process that I could use to get the files to export the files without losing the format. Hopeful I have explained this issue clear enough in order to get help.

That suggests that the PDF was not created with PDF Maker that retains the format information. As a result, there is not much you can do with Acrobat if it is not converting properly. You can try to save as HTML or RTF and import those into WORD. Sometimes those conversions will do better, but not real sure.
You can also use a copy and paste from the PDF with the alt key held down to force the column mode of copy. Unfortunately, with Acrobat there is not much more you can do. There are some 3rd party products that focus on the conversion to WORD and I understand do a much better job for the type of untagged document you likely have. Check with PDF Zone or Planet PDF for the 3rd party solutions. Be aware, they are not cheap either.

The quickest way to do this (tested with OS 10.8.2, MS Word 2011) is in one line:
tell application "Microsoft Word" to close every document whose name begins with "book"
The reason why your script doesn't work is that you aren't specifying to Word which document you want it to close.
So, changing one line ought to do it:
close document incrementvalue -- instead of "close document"
But... when you close a document, you change the document count. Document 2 becomes document 1, document 3 becomes document 2 etc. So eventually you'd get a message saying "The object you are trying to access doesn't exist".
Because of this, if you want to do it in a repeat loop, you have to work backwards:
tell application "Microsoft Word"
set doc_count to count documents
repeat with x from doc_count to 1 by -1
if name of document x begins with "book" then close document x
end repeat
end tell

When you say field, do you mean specifically a form field, such as a text field? Or is the information regular text on the page?

The other alternative is the Save As Other>Reduce File Size. The PDF Optimizer gives you more control. You might also use the audit feature in the PDF Optimizer to see where the size problem is coming from. You might find that in the WORD file you can select and image and then go to the FORMAT (pictures) menu and select compress for all of the bitmaps in the file. That will typically use 150 dpi by default that is adequate for most needs.

Format the external drive as FAT32 or ExFAT. Both computers will then be able to read and write to it.

Batch processing: save processed file with same name to different location without moving the original

Hi, I would like to denoise Voice Over files with help of Auditions Batch Process. However, I have to save the files with the same name as the original, so that I can simply relink them in Premiere. Since I do want to keep the originals, I would like to save the processed files to a different location.
Unfortunately, Batch Processor adds " Copy" to the processed files and moves the originals along with the processed files to the new folder (causing Premiere to loose the original files).
Can I achieve my goal with Batch Processor, and how would I have to configure it?

Which version of Audition are you using? The latest ones allow you to specify where the batched files are saved and also if any Prefix or Postfix are added to the file name. These are all under Export Settings in the Batch Process pane. However you must have the Export box ticked to give you access to the settings.

Please inform me how to convert .pdf files to .docx and be able to typed in the converted file.

Adobe seems to suggest that I have to purchase something or that the file is corrupted. All these files cannot be corrupted. This should not be so difficult, in the 21st century. To accept the license agreement (NOT the one you accepted to download or install - the one for USE)
Windows:
Go to: C/Program Files(x86)/Adobe/Reader 11.0/Reader and double click the eula.exe file. The license agreement will open for you to accept.
Mac:
Go to: Mac HD/Applications and double click the Reader app. The license agreement will open THE FIRST TIME you open it.

As long as the PDF opens, then just try saving it to a new file name. There may be a preflight script that would help troubleshoot the issue.
