I work with Oracle WebCenter Content Server and Inbound Refinery server. I need to check in and convert some video. Check-in form must contain a combobox called "rendition set" according the manual (http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E14571_01/doc.1111/e10797.pdf). But in my situation it absents. How can I convert video in content server?

For getting the Option List you will need to install the following components on UCM server :
DamConverterSupport
DigitalAssetManager
ContentBasket
ZipRenditionManagement

File convert trouble

Hi, so i have a sony hd cam and FCE and have been using Clipwrap to convert my mt2s files from my camera to AIC format. This works easy and well just dragging and dropping, it then saves them to my external hard drive.
But i have found that i've imported some clips from my camera and forgot to change the output setting in clipwrap to AIC format. So i have imported the file under "Rewrap (don't alter video sample)". Which when i import to FCE it does not play and keeps flashing Unrendered.
In finder both files show up as .mov an both play in quicktime.
The only diffrence is when i click get info under codecs it says (Linear PCM, H.264, Timecode) when it should say (Linear PCM, Timecode, Apple Intermediate)
I just need them to work in FCE.

Rs-232 to USB converter trouble

Hi, everyone
I have developed an application in labview 6.1 for communicating with an instrument via serial port, using serial compatibility VIs. the software works ok in the development machine which has a rs-232 port, but i can´t make it start in other PCs using USB to RS-232 converters (since they don´t have a serial port, only USB). I simply can´t stablish communications, BUT if I open hyperterminal (just open it, i don´t send any commands or anything else) and then close it again, the application in labview works ok!!! it´s just like hyperterminal "wakes up" my instrument! does anybody has any idea how can hyperterminal do this???

Are you using the Serial port init vi? Is there any error code coming out?

Can you please provide some specifics about the problem you're encountering? Do you get an error message, or does the file conversion process never complete? Is the problem specific to one file, or occur with every file you try to convert?
Please help fill in the blanks for us, so we know best how to help you resolve this issue.

Thank you for this response. I have tried this but when I start enterring $ amounts some, such as $6.00, go in OK others such as $4.00 appear as a date ie 4 Oct 12.

Trouble converting Word 2003 document

I must be doing something wrong. It seemed simple enough to convert a simple Word 2003 document to PDF. When I go to open the PDF file in Word, up pops a window "select the encoding that makes your document readable: (choices are) windows (default), MS-DOS, other encoding [lists several languages and alphabets). I select "windows", and all I get is gobbledy-****.

Do you have an Acrobat.com account? By "downloaded the Adobe" do you mean you've downloaded the desktop version of Acrobat?

So i downloaded the latest DNG converter but that too didn't identify the files kept in the folder location. So I downloaded DNG converter v7.3 for D5200. It identifies the folder and files; but it is giving me parsing error on trying to convert files. I'm running Windows Vista Home Edition SP1. Kindly advise. Thank you.

I probably missed this detail in what you’ve posted, but do you see the thumbnails of the three cameras’ raw files in Finder if you don’t convert to DNG?
What has happened in the past is that the Apple raw interpreter doesn’t read thumbnails of DNGs it doesn’t like, where at least one thing it didn’t used to like was embedded lens corrections for mirrorless cameras. Are the Olympus and Panasonic mirrorless—meaning there is no optical viewfinder and everything is seen on an LCD screen or perhaps an electronic view finder? If so the reason these are different is that the camera is doing the lens distortion corrections automatically and this information is stored in the raw files and in the DNGs but Apple doesn’t know how to use these embedded lens corrections or doesn’t know how to read the newer DNG spec that does allow for this information to be embedded in the DNG, at least.
Apple could just extract the embedded jpg preview and ignore the other parts of the file it doesn’t understand, but it apparently doesn’t do this.
What I’m not sure about is if the Apple raw interpreter still has this problem or if you’re on an older system without the latest updates for camera raw decoding by Apple.

Trouble converting MS SQL 7 ntext to 10g CLOBs

Using OMWB 10.1.0.2, and I'm having trouble converting over SQL 7 ntext fields to CLOBS; I either wind up with a single character in the CLOB field, the first character in the SQL field, or all text is brought over with spaces in between (represented by some odd character I haven't fully checked out yet, but it shows up onscreen as a box).
I'm in the early stages of checking this out, but any greneral ideas or directions for testing/solving this difficulty would be greatly appreciated, many thanks.

After futher investigation, I determined
that these are not spaces but a null character
ascii code "0".This data is in Unicode, so you see a null char after each character in text editor.
It is normal.
Seems you data were transferred well.
If the original data is not in Unicode, change the database character set to ASCII.
Or please make sure that SQL Server NTEXT was converted to CLOB, not NCLOB. NCLOB is always Unicode.

I must get this fixed asap.
I have updated and even purchased adobe for conversion pdf to rich text format
but it won't convert - keep getting error message. it doesn't matter if I use the cloud or directly on my computer.
This has to be fixed for online class work!

Trouble Converting Simple Word Document

Hello,
I have tried several times at different points of the day to create a PDF out of my Word document that is about 1 MB in size. It uploads to the site with no problem but when I try to convert it gives me this message:
Acrobat.com does not support converting this file type to PDF.

There is nothing unusual about the Word document, it is a .doc from Word 2003 and I have made other PDFs in the past with no problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I'm sorry you're having trouble; it looks like our server is having a hard time recognizing that your file is, in fact, a Word document. Can you verify that the document opens in Word from your desktop?

Trouble converting to mpeg2

I'm having trouble with mpeg2 conversions in fcp. I've finished my project, selected mpeg2 in the compressor, and let it run through the process of converting (about 45 min). The batch shows successful, but the final product is nowhere to be found on the computer. I've done this three times, and I don't know what is wrong.
I'm new at fcp, so I'm sure I'm doing something wrong. Any suggestions?

Try using Spotlight to find those missing files and delete them . . . they are in a place taking your drive space.
Confession: from time to time I forgot specifing the destination and had to do that search !! (forgive me Drew!)

What do you mean by iTunes registering the mp4?
Which iTunes, on iPad, iTunes is a Store and it won't take your .mp4.
On pc, check if it supports the mp4 (there are a number of different mp4 format) you have converted.
Can you import it to computer iTunes?

Trouble with flickering after converting AVCHD files to Apple Pro Res 22

Hi guys.
I have figured out that Apple Pro res 22 is the best format for my AVCHD files.
But I am having trouble with the files after converting them to this format.
Every 60 frames I have a blurred frame.
This results in a flickering effect when watching the clip.
The original MP4 clip (AVCHD) plays fine on the Mac but when I convert is it flickers.
I have captured a still shot of the frame here

Actually I think I might have found the answer.
After diggin deaper into the camera manual I have discovered that the setting I had it on "Full HD" actually is interlaced not progressive. Even though tha badging on the camera says Progressive"
So I think something got lost when converting the files to apple pro res.
I just shot a 10 sec clip on "Full HR" which is the progressive function and it converted nicely.
I'll come back to this post after shooting and making a little test movie today.

PS. I wonder what codec it actually shoots in. Apparently it is not AVCHD but MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 compression (I thought that was AVCHD)
