  • KM4M-V good for overclocking?

Hi, I just registered here because I'm thinking about buying this board, the KM4M-V microATX board with the VIA 8237 south bridge.
I would like to know if this is a board that I can overclock with. It will be paired with an XP2000+. I see that this board has 100/133/166 FSB options via a jumper. Can it adjust in 1mhz increments? Also, does this board have any multiplier or voltage adjustment?
    Thanks
    Benny

The KM4M is not a great choice for overclocking. The BIOS options are rather limited, and if the 2000 you plan to install is a fairly new CPU, it is likely locked on the multi. This would leave only the FSB setting for overclocking, and the VIA boards do not use a AGP/PCI lock, so increasing the FSB of the CPU also raises the AGP/PCI clock.

  • Any suggested cooling pad that is real good for GT70 2OC?

So, recently I've been playing games for quite a long period so I would like to buy a better cooling pad to cool down my laptop. Any suggested cooling pad that is not that expensive?

hi there coolermaster makes some pretty good looking one i ahve yet to buy one because im still trying to decide which laptop i want to buy, im new here and cant post links yet so lookup the coolermaster SF-15 and the coolermaster storm sf-17 hope this helps you

  • K8N Neo2 good for overclocking?

I own a K8N Neo  Plainum, and much like most people here, im less than impressed  with it's overclocking ability.
I Have been keeping an eye on these forums for some time, and trying the various beta bioses with little to no improvement. Unfortunately, i have 3 sata drives and have no choice but to use both controllers.
In regards to the subject, i am really tired of waiting for the k8n neo  to do what i want it to do, so i have two options, get a k8n neo2 or get a  skt754/939 alternative brand board. My 3400 clawhammer is nice, but im just as happy to buy a socket 939 if the neo2 overclocks as well as the neo1 should have.
So you people with neo2 boards, lets see your results, and complaints etc, before i buy it this time
btw, the best i've achieved on this mobo is
    http://leet.customer.netspace.net.au/4006.JPG
and no that's not stable, i can prime 215HTT at best approximately.
For those people that are gonna ask my pc specs, here they are.
    K8N Neo Platinum
    Athlon 64 3400+ Clawhammer
    1Gb Corsair TwinX DDR500PRO
    1 x 36Gb raptor as boot drive and 2  x 200Gb sata in raid0
    i think that's all that's relevant.
I look forward to your help guys

Well i got my mobo doing 11 x 260 on my fx53 all day long it will do higher some peeps have had them up to 295 is the highest I have seen so they are ok if you can get over all the other problems

  • Which cooler pad is good for MBP 13 inch 2011?

some people said that altaz cooling pad is good. but i see that thermapak is also better. i don't know what must I choose for my MBP 13 inch.. any suggestion whcih one is better?

I personnally use the CoolMaster NotePal X2. I bought this one because of the great location of the fan and how it fitted my Mac. I use it for my MacBook Pro 15 inch and fits perfectely.
The MacBook Pro 13 inch will also fit but you'll see the borders of the fan.
Anyways, here's the link on Amazon.com (I think they can deliver in Malaysia):

  • MSI P43T-C51 or P45T-C51 for overclocking Q6600 ??

    Hello everyone..
My current system specs are :
    Q6600 2.4ghz (b3 )
    2gb transcend jet ram 800Mhz
    250gb HDD,
    500W Cooler master Extreme power
    8600GT 256MB XFX GPU
    View Sonic 1921-VM
I plan on upgrading my pc by buying msi mobo & i am on tight budget too plus i plan to upgrade to 460gtx 1gb hawk too so that i can squeez out more juice from my Q6600 for 2 more years.
Have many questions today & my questions are :
    1. MSI P43T-C51 or P45T-C51 which among these is a good overclocker?
    2. Should i go for ddr2 set up or get P45-C51 which is ddr3 setup .
    3. Will B3 processor get stable 3.4ghz or 3.6ghz OC on any of these mobo ?
    4. Which cpu cooler should i buy ??
    5. Last but not the least will Q6600 will be a bottle neck for 460gtx ?
Please help me sort things out..
    Thank You..

    1. MSI P43T-C51 or P45T-C51 which among these is a good overclocker?
I don't know, since I never tested these boards personally.  Both are not really "High End" boards, so there aren't really that many users using them for serious OC.

    2. Should i go for ddr2 set up or get P45-C51 which is ddr3 setup .
I'd go for DDR3.  If you upgrade to another board in the future, DDR2 modules probably won't be of use to you anymore.

    3. Will B3 processor get stable 3.4ghz or 3.6ghz OC on any of these mobo ?
There really is no definate answer to that, really as two different exemplars of the same processor or board may show different OC behaviour.

    4. Which cpu cooler should i buy ??
What is your budget for a CPU Cooler?  Do you prefer air-cooling or perhaps water-cooling?  Check out the Corsair H50 and H70 CPU coolers (both are pre-built water coolers.  You just have to install them like a heatsink and don't worry about much more.

Your welcomed toi buy a different brand board. However what Stick pointed out is correct. Yes you may not get there but he is showing you some things you can change. No you don't go bam right to max VCore or any other max setting. You want to take some small steps andwork your way towards them testing and watching Volts, and Temps as well.
One thing you really must be aware of is that not all 4800's overclock well to begin with. Smae goes for my Opteron. You may get one of those rare lucky one's but blaiming the MB for an overclock without testing every avenue first is just silly. So OK let's say that you get another brand MB. What if that one does not overclock any better? Then all you get besides rustration is another chunk out of your cashflow, and some time and effert to install a new MB.
Why not work with Stick or one of us instead of getting all bent outta shape and blaiming the MB. Let's face it. Plenty of folks have OC'ed just fuine with that board so maybe just maybe it really is something else.
    Some food for thought.
    First of, very nice post.
Well when my topic say's  "Finally a good stable overclock" it means i did everything possible (that include's stock settings to the innitial overclocked settings. I just think and know that the MSI bios has problems... couse some settings like "Write recovery time (Twr).....................  3T (which gives 2)"
    and
Async Latency Value...........................  6ns (This results in 8ns)  results in diffrent endtime settings. Now this isn;t just like a average mainboard, decreased cpu voltage issue. No, these two pointed things above are one of the reasons MSI mainboards are crap overclockes  (No not a hardware fault, but (general/ overal) bios fault...in the end) (we all know the Bios still has issues) "and no not only MSI has them"
anyway's   i'm stoned right now..... so don't take this post in any Meen way's.
but just a little food too, to hear

  • MSI GTX 780 TI/R9 290x in the Cooler Master Elite 130?

    Hello
I am intendet to assemble a very compact  and minimalist (only 1 SSD and only one LP Ram 8GB) Gaming PC
But i dont want deny at all at one of those high end graphic card on the market now such as
    -MSI R9 290X2
    -MSI GTX 780 TI
    I like a lot a cooler master 120 or 130
Is it possible to fit it in?
consiering i will use an i7 processor and a mini itx  mobo.
I read the specs of that case and the official web site claims that can host GPU up to 343 mm lenght
What about the PSU i should get?
How many WATT for my (future)components?
-GPU (one of those i mentioned above
    -Samsung EVO 120 GB SSD
    -Corsair Vengeance LP (2X8GB)
-Mother board M-ITX (i dont know wich one yet)
    -Processor intel i7 no overclocking
Said that, how many WATT should i pick my PSU?
    Thanks

it would be tight and you will need to be very creative with your assembly as space is very limited in those small form factor cases (I know as my HTPC has one of the 130 versions and its very tight to fit a card into the chasis but a large card does fit but the power cables are a little bit of a fiddle to get into the connectors as its a little cramped inside but its doable)
AMD R9-290x2 is a upcoming card with dual GPU but that will not fit in the case due to its weird cooling system as there is no way you could route the water cooler I think!

  • Cooler master aero 7 problems

So, I got the above cooler and now I'm havin' problems.  First off I'd rather seat a Jeep on my cpu.  This thing is giant and bulky.
My first problem was after I put it on, I've power up, and then I'd die about 4 secs after.  Now I've seated it again and my default vcore is around 1.87.  What's up with that?  I can manually set it correctly, but....  Also, I got crashes and reboots on what is usually a stable overclock (though with a mild overclock I ran prime 95 error free for 3 hours).
I guess I have to seat it again!

  • MSI Z68MA-ED55 B3 + Cooler Master V8 CPU Cooler Compatibility

Guys, Anyone please advise if Cooler Master V8 CPU Cooler is compatible to Z68MA-ED55 motherboard. What i exactly mean is that will it fit without me having to move the RAM to other slots? Thanks guys!

Depends on the RAM. If you intend to get flashy RAM modules that have heatspreaders (useless for all practical purposes) as high as mountains, then you have a problem. If you stick to JEDEC standard modules, i.e. black chips on green sticks, or Low profile modules, then these should fit just nicely.
Suggest you read the technical design document of the cooler and check what the clearance is from the heatsink upwards to where the cooling fins start. Check the technical design specs of your intended mem modules and see what the height is. That should give you a good indication.
If you want an excellent cooler that has plenty clearance by design, consider the Zalman 9900 series.

  • MSI Z77A-GD65 + Cooler Master Hyper 212EVO

    Hello there,
I wanted to pick your brains on what after-market CPU Fan to use on my board.  I feel that the stock Intel fan is doing enough.  CPU temp will run at 35C/40C  in winter and 45 during summer when idle, and reach 50C/57C when playing quake. No OC whatsoever. I am aware that these temps are not bad but if I could skim 5/8 C i would prolong CPU lifespan.  I was thinking of replacing the stock fan with a good value for money one, like the Cooler Master Hyper 212EVO. I fear that the HSF will interfere with my high-profile memory.
Your input in whatever form will be very welcome.   one more thing, I don't have a dedicated Graphics card as you can see from my rig configuration, would getting one take some of the load off the CPU and therefore allow it to run at lower temps ?
    Thanks guys
    Luca

    Hi Diamond,
thank you so much for taking the time to reply.  you're right not exactly inexpensive, however maybe worth it particularly if there aren't cheaper options.  I could only find this:
    http://www.amazon.it/Zalman-CNPS-9900-Processor-Cooler/dp/B0046YEEOY/ref=sr_1_3?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1388939102&sr=1-3&keywords=Zalman
which is the MAX ( not MAX-B ). I fear it's not available yet in Italy.
not sure about lowering the voltages, as I'd be venturing in uncharted waters ... and I def value stability over anything else
    thanks again

  • Multiple free goods for one item in standalone CRM

    Hi Gurus,
We are trying to implement multiple free goods for one item in standalone CRM.
As per SAP.help.com, it says that we can configure multiple free goods scenario in standalone CRM system.
We tried to set up this in our system.  Basically we want to implement the scenario, where a user wants to  purchase item A, he should get a prompt for choosing between two free goods  B and C.
We did the relevant IMG settings required for Free goods at  IMG ->CRM -> Basic Functions -> Free Goods.-> Set up Free Goods
We also did the relevant item category determination where we have made an entry with
Item Usage = " Free Goods" , Main item cat. = "TAN' , Item Category = "TANN".
Now we went to create condition records in the path  "SAP Menu -> Master Data -> Prices and Conditions -> SAPCND/GCM - Maintain condition"
We chose Application ="PRT", MaintenanceGrp="PRT_FGOODS", Maintenance context ="GCM"
Then while creating conditon records , when I try to create two condition records where the Main Product is same but free good product is different, the system is not allowing to save these two condition records.
it is giving error "Overlapping validity periods for two condition records".
Please advice, if i am missing something. Thanks in advance for your help.
    thanks,
    Randhir

Constraints in free goods in R3 taken from SAP library
Free goods can only be supported on a 1:1 ratio. This means that an order item can lead to a free goods item. Agreements in the following form are not supported: u2018With material 1, material 2 and material 3 are free of chargeu2018 or u2018If material 1 and material 2 are ordered at the same time, then material 3 is free of chargeu2018.
Free goods are not supported in combinations with material structures (for example, product selection, BOM, variants with BOM explosion).
Free goods are only supported for sales orders with document category C (for example, not quotations).
Free goods are not supported for deliveries without reference to a sales order.
Free goods cannot be used in make-to-order production, third-party order processing and scheduling agreements.
If you defined a free goods for variants in a generic article (only SAP Retail), you can only process the variants in the purchase order and goods receipt individually (as single articles). In other words, you cannot process them using the generic article matrix.
This answers your qn Not possible in R3
If you are on Retail scenario this is possible thro bonus buy schemes
But a lot of customizations needs to be done and you need a retail server to do that

  • What is reflection good for?

i heard people use reflection with rmi, but what it is good for?
if i use reflection to figure out what methods etc a class has, how do i know what they do?

Oh cool, you just gave me an idea!
Storing bean class names in a db and upon retrieval of any name, a single utility can construct an entire GUI editor panel for any variety of java bean conforming to the Java Bean specifications. This way, if ever I want to add a new Panel to an application for a new module or set of features, all I would hypothetically have to do is create the bean and add the name to the db and load up my app without even having to create the new GUI interface for editing it.
    thanks!
Oh and one other additional thing reflection is good for, is interfacing with XML config files using the attribute names as identifiers for locating the setters (E.g., Spring Framework) as well as a bunch of other related XML things.
Your imagination is your only limit. I would excercise caution in where and how you use it though. Usually best to use in initialization routines rather than runtime functions or during exhaustive processes.

  • Is the Hardware and Software enough/good for my needs

I've been reading these forums and a few others and am concerned about somethings and hope some of you can help with these concerns:
    Some background and info:
    1. I've ordered a Dell XPS 720 H2C which as a Intel Core2 Extreme processor QX6700 (3.46GHz,,Overclocked) w/Quad Core Technology and 8MBcache, 4 GB RAM, Dual 768MB NVIDIA GeForce 8800GTX, 1.5TB RAID 0 HDD and a secondary 500GB SATA 3GB/s (No option for a RAID 0 secondary HDD, Windows VISTA ultimate OS.
    2. Will be buying/upgarding the Production Premium CS3 package. (currently only use PhotoShop CS3 and Flash CS3).
    3. I have a Canon XH A1 prosumer video camera (I'm an amature photographer/videographer not a professional. Software is my forte).
My questions at this moment are to do with hardware software capabilties and workflow.
My first project (of many I hope) is a make some corporate videos in HDV format for online marketing purposes (kind of like the videos Adobe have for CS3 - http://www.adobe.com/creativelicense/) and possibly to produce DVDs of the same.
My first question is; Given the hardware and software, will I be able to do what I need? I really hope I don't have to go buy any more hardware. I don't mind having to do one or two more steps. to achieve the end goal (initially).
Starting with the mode to shoot in (for the purpose stated above), what is my workflow going to be?
    i. What is the best mode to shoot in? (24f, 30f, 60i)
ii. How do I get the video from the MiniDV tape onto my HDD and then into Premier Pro.
iii. I need to be able to compisite multiple HDV clips to produce the final cut. Is the hardware and software good for this? On a scale of 1 to 10, what can I expect in terms of productivity.
I've heard elsewhere that Premier Pro just don't produce true HD quality results. Is this earlier versions.
What format/compression and dimension is the best for online viewing (I want to retain the HD quaility as far as possible.)
Thank you all for listening and hope to hear your opinions.
    Shiv.

    Steven,
Thank you for your quick reply and information there in. The video is very nice too. Great angles and composition.
So I guess, I'm going to have swap my drive and re-install my OS when the machine arrives.
I'm not going to be able to capture directly to my desktop (due to poratability reasons). So is there I way in Premire CS3 to uncompress the HDV from the camera and store it in my HDD in uncompressed format? I don't mind having to do this extra step each time if the post production experience is going to be better.
I've heard a lot about Aspect HD from you and others here as well as other forums. I'm not very video savvy yet and don't understand a lot of the vocabulary used :). I've been to their website and don't get what their products are supposed to give me either (I guess their audience understands exactly what they are saying).
What I do get is it decompresses the MPEG 2 to saves it to yout HDD for editing purposes. However, I would have thought the Premier Pro CS3 would have that capability as part of the product, no?
I'd also like to use footage that is not HDV as well as photos/images (composits) but still retain the final cut to be HDV quality. Is this possible and if so, what does it do to the editing experience/performance?
Will I be able to output the final cut back to my camera's Mini DV tape (without having to buy Aspect HD)?
