Copying CUSTOMER_H data from SDCR to SDHF document.

While creating SDHF from SDCR, I want to copy all the values of CUSTOMER_H structure from preeceding document to next document. I used ORDER_SAVE~PREPARE BADI but it does not update the custom structure.
The psedo logic is:
1. Get SDCR document GUID from SDHF document GUID (using CRM_DOC_FLOW_READ_OB and table crmd_customer_h).
2. Copy SDCR's CUSTOMER_H data to local structure LC_CUSTOMER_H.
3. Update through CRM_CUSTOMER_H_CHANGE_OW passing new structure LC_CUSTOMER_H.
What is the difference between CRM_CUSTOMER_H_OW and CRM_CUSTOMER_H_OB function set?
Shall I use CRM_CUSTOMER_H_PUT_OB or what other function modules / procedure should be used to reflect my changes to database?

my complaining has nothing to do with you disturbing. I think its the heat in India, still not used to it
In later releases it will be the same. Our design is just this way. You can't copy appraisals, and you can't change released templates. Those are conciously made design decisions which I still stand to.
From a business point of view it just needs a different approach. Your current situation is not an exception. Here is how I have seen other multinational companies with a global roll-out handle it.
They setup the appraisal process for a year, say for 2005. They start gathering the suggestions/complaints from employees/management and start discussing internally on the possible changes in the process. Then they implement a new template and make this available for the new round in 2006. The old template they put in "in history".
So, they stick to the process they have initiated and start with an approved template with the new round. This then does not disrupt the current process, avoids "bad" quick fixes and gives HR the time to test the new process.
For now, try to create the "copy" report but I would also inform the client that the above process would be the better one on the long run.
Also from an employee and manager point of view it makes more sense as the process they started doesn't change without them knowing what or why.

Maurice

  • COPY EXCHANGE RATE FROM BASE TO TARGET DOCUMENTS

After several study and anaylsis based on Note 703028, we conclude this feature is not applicable to our normal practice in Singapore.
SAP Business One copies the base row Exchange Rate to the target document only if items in the base document are defined with prices in a Foreign Currency which is not set as the System Currency or which is different from the Business Partner's Currency (this is the currency selected in the header of the document for a Multi Currency Business Partner). This prevents a discrepancy between the row total and the document total.
Since this feature is not desirable in your applications, we would like to feedback to SAP and suggest for improvement.
    Example
My Local Currency is SGD, System Currency is EUR, BP Currency is USD.
    Foreign Currency exchange rates:
                        USD
    3 Oct 2007    1.4
    4 Oct 2007    1.5 (1 USD = 1.5 SGD)
Assuming in Sales Order, BP Currency is USD at exchange rate of 1.4, Document Date 3 Oct 2007.
Qty     Unit Price    Total Amount (SGD)
    1        USD1,000    SGD1,400
After copying Sales Order to Invoice on 4 Oct 2007 with BP Currency USD, default exchange rate should be 1 USD = 1.4 SGD
Qty     Unit Price    Total Amount (SGD)
    1        USD1,000    SGD1,400
Current system behaviour is not desirable.
After copying Sales Order to Invoice on 4 Oct 2007 with BP Currency USD, default exchange rate is 1 USD = 1.5 SGD though we choose Copy Exchange rate from Base Document in the Copy Wizard.
Qty     Unit Price    Total Amount (SGD)
    1        USD1,000    SGD1,500
    Kedalene Chong

We have had the same issue.
The BP pricelist currency is in this case important, not the BP currency.
The question 'copy exchange rate from base to target document' relates to this currency exchange rate used in the base document to calculate from USD to SGD. If your pricelist is in SGD, then the program will recalculate the target document SGD to the same exchange rate in USD as it was in the base document.
Because the value of the USD currency has changed, there wil be a different amount on the target document.
If you donot want a different amount on the target document then the only solution is to make a price list in USD.

  • Copy Master Data from BW cube to BPC cube

    Hi,
I need to copy a master data from BW cube to BPC cube.
Can I do this from BW? That is, Can I copy master data from the view of the cube of BPC in BW?
I do this from BW and then I see the master data in my BPC cube from the BW view, but when I open my cube in the BPC environment, I don't see nothing of the master data.
    What's the problem?
    Regards,
    Miguel.

    Hi Miguel -
I think you are asking if you can copy transactional data from a BW cube into a BPC cube (cubes do not contain master data).
If this is what you want to do, yes the BPC IMPORT package is a delivered data manager package that allows you to select a BW cube, transformation file, and additional options (such as work status checking and default logic execution).  The use of the Data Manager [process is the "best practice" since you will need to transform the BW data model into the BPC data  model and the tools delivered in the IMPORT data manager package are ideally suited for the job.  You can automate this process by following the guide at:
[https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/BPX/Enterprise%20Performance%20Management%20%28EPM%29%20How-to%20Guides|https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/BPX/Enterprise%20Performance%20Management%20%28EPM%29%20How-to%20Guides]  The specific document is:  "How to Export BPC Transaction Data Using a Custom Process Chain"
If you are actually asking for the process for loading master data into BPC dimensions, please read the following "How To" guide that describes the current best practices:
[https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/BPX/Enterprise%20Performance%20Management%20%28EPM%29%20How-to%20Guides|https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/BPX/Enterprise%20Performance%20Management%20%28EPM%29%20How-to%20Guides]  The specific document is: "How to Automate Master Data Loads in BPC NW"

  • Copy the data from first line while dynamically adding a new line in table

    Hi,
    1. There is a table
    2. An add button adds a new line to the table using 'AddInstance'
    3. A record is entered in the first line
    4. When the add button is clicked it adds a new line and along with it copies the data entered in the first line
My question is how to copy the data from the first line and show it in the new line added. This is required so that user can use most of the common values in the first line.
    Thanks,
    Nikhil

You can use the following Java Script in the Click event of the button.
// Get the number of rows in the table
    var nrows = xfa.resolveNodes("page.table.DATA[*]").length;
// Add a new instance(row) to the table
    page.table.addInstance.instanceManager(1);
    xfa.form.recalculate(1);
// Copy the values from the first line to the newly created row
    page.table.DATA\[ nrows \].field1.rawValue = page.table.DATA\[ 0 \].field1.rawValue;
    ..........field2
    ..........field3

  • How to copy the Data From Oracle Table To SAP Table

    Hi Friends,
We need to copy the data from Oracle Database Table to SAP Table. The data should be updated simultaneously in both tables . Should I write a program that contains the native sql statement like EXEC SQL PERFORMING WRITE,....
I appreciate any suggestions regarding this.
    Regards
    CSM Reddy

    Hi,
since you posted this question in the DB2 forum I assume that you are using a DB2 database for your SAP system.
To access a table from a legacy ORACLE database you may use the DBSL multiconnect feature. I.e. you open a secondary connecction in the SAP system to your ORALE database. You can then ready the data from the ORACLE database into an ABAP internal table and insert it afterwards into the DB2 table on the main connection.
Another way to access an ORACLE table from a DB2 database is to use the DB2 federated database feature. This requires a little bit more DB2 skill. With this feature you can make the ORACLE table visible within the DB2 database. To copy data you can then simply use a "INSERT ... SELECT" statement.

  • How do I copy a table from a Pages 09 document to a Pages 5 document

I am trying to copy a table from a Pages 09 document into the new version of Pages. When I select the table and copy, in the new version it turns it into text and does not copy the table structure. Any ideas?
    Thanks

Pages ’09 v4.3 and Pages v5.2.2 are entirely different document architectures. Consequently, copying and pasting a table from Pages ’09 circumvents the customary translation process  that would occur if you opened that Pages ’09 document in Pages v5.
Make a backup copy of the Pages ’09 document that has the table in it, and then open this document in Pages v5.2.2. The table is translated into Pages v5 document format and displayed correctly. You can even select this Pages v5.2.2 table, and then copy/paste it into another Pages v5.2.2 document with accurate results.

  • Concerning midi data in GarageBand for iOS: can we copy midi data from one virtual instrument to another?

Concerning midi data in GarageBand for iOS: can we copy midi data from one virtual instrument to another?
For instance: I play my "lucky take" on the virtual piano, and now I am curious how it would sound on let's say a organ. Normally I would select the midi content out of the piano track and copy it into the organ track. I cannot figure out how to do this in GarageBand for iOS. Is there anyone out there with a solution?
    Thanks!

It is limited, how you can move regions between tracks. Basically, you can move between tracks with the same touch instrument.  See the help: http://help.apple.com/garageband/ipad/2.0/index.html#chsec12c15d
    Move a region
Drag the region left or right to move it forward or back in time. Align the left edge of the region with the bar or beat on the ruler where you want it to start playing.
Drag the region up or down to move it to another track with the same Touch Instrument. You can also drag regions between Keyboard and Sampler tracks, and between Audio Recorder and Guitar Amp tracks. Smart Drums regions cannot be dragged to another Smart Drums track.
If you move a region so that it overlaps another region, the overlapped part of the “covered” region is deleted.
    Paste a region
You can paste a region you have copied, or paste an audio file from an app that supports copying audio to the clipboard. GarageBand supports 44.1 kHz sample rate, 16-bit depth uncompressed audio files.
You can paste copied regions to another track with the same Touch Instrument. You can also paste regions between Keyboard and Sampler tracks, and between Audio Recorder and Guitar Amp tracks. Smart Drums regions cannot be pasted to another Smart Drums track. Audio files copied from another app can be pasted to Audio Recorder or Guitar Amp tracks.
Move the playhead to the point where you want the region to start.
Tap the header of the track where you want to paste the region to select the track.
Tap the track where you want to paste the region, then tap Paste. You can also tap an empty area of Tracks view, then tap Paste. In this case the region is pasted into the currently selected track.

  • Copy historical data from one material to another

I have added a new material in the planning hierarchy and need to copy historical data from an existing material to this new material.
For achieving the same I carried out below steps:
In the forecasting view of the new material I added the existing material as reference material: consumption, also added the reference plant, validity period and multiplier.
But then too system is not copying the historical data of that material to the new material..I cannot see any data in MC94 or in the infostructure.
Please let me know where am I going wrong or if I am missing any setting.....
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Sonal

    Dear ,
System will not copy the Reference material consumption to new material consumption -Total Consuption tab .If  you maintain those filed like
    1.Reference material consumption
    2.Ref.Plant Consumptuion
    3.Date To
    4.Multipler
5.Similar Period Indicator -M/W ( some time if you maintain the frist 4 option but not same period indicator , system will not consider the consumption ) .
Based on the above set up  , when you execute the Forecast ( Indiviaully -MM02-Forcaste Tab or MP38 collectively or through SOP) , forcast programme will use the  historical values of Refe.Material and project  the  new material\s forcasted demand as per your forecast period ( 2 months or 3 motnhs etc )  in the forecasting view .
System will not copy the Historical valu to total consumption tab of the new material ok .
If you need to copy the  consumption of old material to new material , you have to use report RMDATIND, MVER_DI or BAPI_MATERIAL_MAINTAINDATA_RT .For more details please refer the OSS Note 200547 - Program: Direct input for consumption values
More over why do you need to copy when u have facility to have refence in Forecasting view !
Just chek the above points wht i have mentioned and execute forecast .Do not forget to keep same period indicaotor-M/W what ever .
Test a sample and procced .
    Hope it is clear .

    Yes you can do.
    Tcode SCCL.
    Options :
When copying clients, you can select what you want to transfer from the source client to the target client:
User masters: You select this option, for example, if you want to give all users of an existing client the same authorizations in the target client.
Client-specific Customizing: You select this option, for example, if you want to set up a new client in an existing system.
    Client-specific Customizing and master/transaction data:
You select this option, for example, if you want to set up a test client that is identical to the production client (in the same system).
Client-specific and cross-client Customizing: You select this option, for example, if you want to set up a quality assurance system based on the production client of another system.
Client-specific and cross-client Customizing and master/transaction data: You select this option, for example, if you want to set up a test client based on the production client of another system.

  • Can't shown chinese text when copy & paste data from server to Outlook, Word & notepad, etc.( Office 2013)

Can't shown chinese text when copy & paste data from server to Outlook, Word & notepad, etc.( Office 2013)

    Hi
As per the information and details provided by you, when you copy & paste a data from server to Outlook, word, notepad, then you do not receive the Chinese text.
For Outlook, please follow these steps: -
Close and reopen Outlook in your western locale (or switch the windows system to your Western locale if you changed that),
Manually change the message from Western to Chinese encoding, which you can do in all versions up to Outlook 2007.
If you want to stay in your Chinese locale in Outlook 2007, then:
After you hit reply, go to the Option tab > More Options.
In the Encoding drop-down menu, select the Chinese encoding you are working in (Not the encoding used by the person who will receive the message)
    Note:
To set the Chinese locale in all versions up to 2007 the controls are under.
Tools > Options. In Outlook 2010 File tab > Options > Advanced > International options.
    Unicode (UTF-8)
is a good setting for multilingual users.
    Check the
Auto select 2007)/ Automatically select (2010) encoding box.
I hope this information will be helpful for you.
    Thanks and regards

  • Copying Pricing date from Sales Order to Invoice

    Hello,
I am trying to copy pricing date at line item level from sales document to invoice. Currently I have a pricing date of 04/02/2015 in sales order line item, but in invoice, the same line item pricing date is coming up to be 04/08/2015. The pricing date is defaulting to when the invoice was created.
How can I change the pricing date of the invoice so that it matches sales order pricing date?
    Thanks,
    Brijesh

    Hello Shiva,
The line item I am looking at has the item category of Z0N1 (used for Stock item), but when I go into copy control using tcode (VTFA) under item level, I don't see this item category as one of the options for selection. Is that normal?
    Thanks,
