Copying SIM content

I have two unlocked 8320s. When I got the first one, I installed a Vodafone SIM (I'm in California) from an inexpensive Vodafone mobile I picked up in Italy last year. The phone obviously couldn't find a Vodafone network but did find the AT&T network I use with my 8310 locked phone. This phone asked if I wanted to copy over the SIM address book. I clicked yes and it dumped a bunch of Vodafone and other Italian addresses into the address book, and four SMS messages that the Vodafone picked up while in Italy -- all from Vodafone. These were deposited in the SMS inbox. I had an issue with this unlocked phone and it's been replaced by the vendor with another one. In the meantime I acquired another unlocked 8320 with Vodafone logos and splash screen. With the SIM installed the phone has never asked if I want to copy the SIM address book, and when I look at the SIM address book I see all the ones copied over with the other unlocked phone but no SMS messages. I don't want to copy the entire address book because this unlocked phone already has a lot of addresses I've entered, making it a hassle to remove the copied ones scattered thoughout. Is there a way to copy the text files from the SIM without also copying the address book? Also, do the AT&T and Vodfone networks talk to each other even though they are on separate continents? That is, is there a way to pick up other SMS on the Vodafone system that I know are there since returning to the US? The 8320 doesn't show a phone number, so I assume the answer is no, but I thought I'd ask anyway.

thanks for the suggestion. Perhaps I'm being dense, but I'm
not seeing a method on the MovieClip class that would allow me to
access the JPG image that was loaded into it as a bitmapData
object. Can you offer a short code example that would help me out?

My requirements are the Word documents are a template of sorts. The document will be changes prior to its email with some changes. The other twist is that the customer might more that one recipients, and each recipient will have to have a separate
email, with the same content of the word document.
For example: Say I'm doing maintenance. The Word doc might descript that maintenance, in a set format. Once save the script is run to generate 3 to 10 email with separate recipients with the body of the email containing what was in the Word document.

SAP GUI Java 7.10 rev 5: Copy cells content from ALV does not work (OSX)

Hi all,
I'm trying rev 5 for OSX. ALV aesthetics is really great but: copy cells content is not possible anymore.
Nothing happens with command+C.
I cannot copy anymore just a part of the cell content.
Trying all possible key combinations, something is copied with Ctrl+C. When I paste it, the pasted content is something like this:
(0100),RID(),CID(),RIDN(0),E(true),RO(false),CTL(-1) (0000012338),RID(),CID(),RIDN(0),E(true),RO(false),CTL(-1) (),RID(),CID(),RIDN(0),E(true),RO(false),CTL(-1) (),RID(),CID(),RIDN(0),E(true),RO(false),CTL(-1) (),RID(),CID(),RIDN(0),E(true),RO(false),CTL(-1) (),RID(),CID(),RIDN(0),E(true),RO(false),CTL(-1)

I want to copy the contents of Ipod 32 MC544LL down to my laptop

When I first got my Ipod I had a pc....which I burned several CD to the Itunes new libraries...then got a laptop and my troubles began,
I would like to copy the contents of my ipod down to my pc and then move that copy over to my itunes folders so they both will be in syc so when I hook
my ipod into the laptop the burned CDs will not be over written and i won.t lose them....I can not believe that I have to use freeware or purchase software to
do this.....freeware always messes up my laptop so can you teach me how to do this....a while back a support person showed me something along the lines
but I can not remember how I got the Ipod to show me the song while hook into the laptop...oh and please tell me how to answer the questions that the laptop is
going to ask when plugging in the ipod to the laptop thanks!

Creating pdf files from word document and allow copying of content

I generate word documents and then save them in PDF format before sending out to clients. Sometimes these documents contain quite a lot of data in table format and I want my clients to be able to copy the data from the tables and be able to paste it into excel. How do I save as PDF and still allow copying of content?

Open such a PDF in Adobe Reader: File | Properties | tab Security. It will tell you if copying is allowed or not.
I don't know if you can change these security options from Word; you'll have to ask Microsoft. To change them after the PDF was created, you will need Acrobat.

When I try copying some content from a webpage and paste it to quickoffice document or in e Mail. all the text copies but, no graphics/pictures. how to get them pasted?

I tried copying some content from various websites (open content from plian HTML pages) and tried to paste it in Quickoffice document as well as in mai application. all the text got pasted properly however the content had some graphics and pictures in it that did not get pasted. So, I want to know if there is any way I can do the copy and paste from website including embedded graphics

You will need to copy and paste the images separately from the text. Or you can try pasting into TextEdit. However, it should work if the editor can handle RTFD files as does TextEdit. You cannot copy images to a plain text document or editor.

How to get(copy) the contents i.e the cells of an excel sheet to another excel sheet.
I can read the contents i.e the text in the cells and able to display it in the Java console
i want these contents to be copied to another excel sheet with the cells data.
I am using Java Swing for the UI, POI framework for the excel work.
Please anyone suggest some code to this requirement.

Copy the content of a sheet in excel and paste it in a new sheet.

How can I copy the content of the first sheet in excel and paste it in a newly created sheet. Both sheets have specific names (not sheet1 and sheet2).

To copy the entire contents to the new sheet:
Select the Target sheet by name using property Sheets->Item("Target")
Convert target to WorkSheet
Wire target's WorkSheet->Range("A1") to specify destination
Use Sheets->Item("Source") to select the source sheet
Convert source to WorkSheet
Wire source to property WorkSheet->UsedRange
Wire to method Range->Copy, wire target range to Desination input
Note that no Paste function is required.

Copying the Contents of Keychain

I am about to do an erase and install of Leo. Does anyone know how to copy the contents of the keychain to save from losing all my passwords?
Keychain has an Export option but I can't get it to work. It is simply greyed out.

How does this approach sound:
On the iPad, go to Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings
That will strip your iPad of all its information.
You can then sync your iPad to your computer using your computer's iTunes.

Is there an application that will copy the content of a usb secretly?

Copying the contents of a URL based directory

Hello all, I am trying to copy the contents of a folder which is a URL (i.e. http://server.com/folder) I don't know the contents of the folder, and I don't find a listFiles type of function for URL's. Please help.

There isn't a listFiles method for HTTP URL's for the simple reason that HTTP URL's don't represent directories.
It's possible, if the site administrator has turned the feature on, that a request to http://server.com/folder will return an HTML page that shows a user-friendly (and computer-hostile) representation of files in a certain directory. But it's not guaranteed for arbitrary URL's, and the format of that HTML page is not standardized.

I have two computers and one iphone, one computer and the iphone are synchonized but how can I copy the contents to the second computer?

I have two computers (1 PC and 1 iMac) and one iphone, the PC and the iphone are synchronized but I cannot copy or sync the contents to the iMac. How can I copy the contents? Can I connect the PC to the iMac so that I can use the PC as a hard-disk? Will that affect the system to work smoothly?

I'm trying copy layer content between 2 files, the sources file is a Spanish version of a training manual and the target is an English version. Essentially making a single multiple language file out of two single language documents.

Perhaps if I shared a bit more detail.
We began with an English version. All content was placed on layer 1. At the time some of the manuals were created there was no thought of needing multiple languages.
These files had their one layer with all placed graphics and text renamed English. The Idea was all the graphics that have text embedded in them have been edited to add the second language onto a new layer in the graphic files. (Many of the manuals share graphics between them, so a common links folder was used to maintain the library of images. The graphics files have an "art layer" and "English" layer and a "second and in some cases a third language layer added.)
In InDesign the English layer was to be duplicated (duplicating both the graphics and the text) The text was then exported out as tagged type and translated into the second language and was to be flowed back in to the second language layer. InDesigns layer overrides would be applied to each of the duplicate images to turn off the English text layer and turn on the second language layer. One copy of all the graphics and one InDesign file containing each language layer with it's appropriate layer overrides.
To print the thought was to turn of the language layer visibility you didn't want and turn on the language layer you did want.
I hadn't anticipated the translation company would override the request to perform the translations in this manner and provided a single language file back instead.
I thought it was an efficent system. A single copy of each manual to deal with and single graphic files in a common library to be maintained. At some point e-publishing is being considered and I thought one e-book with all the languages in it could be created and within the e-reader the appropriate language could be enabled. Eventually, I anticipate, and hopefully prior to the e-book effort, we will be upgrading to CS5.5 to take advantage of it's enhanced e-pub features.
Like I said, I am new to this multiple language publication process and imaged the workflow to do the job rather slickly. Rather then having sequential languages one after another in the same book the languages would take advantage of the virtual Z dimension.
Fewer files to maintain, if a change was made to the english version the change could be made to all language layers on the same page.
Given your extensive experience I'd be interested in entertaining the pros and cons of sequential verses layered multlingual files. Seemed more efficient to duplicate the text in this manner then to duplicate all the graphic files. In some cases the manuals we are working with are so old (but not outdate) as to not even have digital versions. It's a big project and management within the company doesn't always think very far ahead. I'm attempting to develop a "plan" and not certain nor convinced it is the most appropriate so your advice and opinion would be recieved with great consideration. I haven't found a whole lot of resources regarding multilingual publishing. The project was sort of "thrown" at me and at the moment it's rather difficult to determine if I'm sinking or swimming. My head goes underwater but I could be doing the butterfly and that's suppose to happen.
Right now language needs are limited to the languages with land masses attached to ours North Central and South America. International Spanish was one choice, rather then having to support each dialect. That will likely change in the upcoming years but I know of no plans when.

Copy its content to show on onother window

The Problem I'm having is:
A list of all orders is shown on a view which is defined
for. Click on a special button opens a new Window
(external window) and this window should show the same list like the privious view once more.
With other words it must contain the same content. To do this is
it necessary to perform the whole program again or can I copy
its content for showing on the external window. I'm very confused.
This external window acts as kind of preview of the list.
Or do you have other suggestions?

It is better to have 0..n if there is any table or else better to have 0..1;
Say View1--is your first view
View2 --is your print view in external window
your first doubt:Now Copy this node to View2 and map them both.
How can I map two views to eachother?
List-- newly created context node 0..n;
Procedure:
Select and right click the node List in View1 -> Select Copy
Open context tab of Controller-> Paste the node (If it is not there already)
Open data modeler .Map View2 to Controller. Wizard appears. Copy and map the node(just drag and drop from right to left)
Open context tab of View1
