COREid 7.0.4 - Group Manager Workflow - Applet Fails to Load

I am having a problem with a new installation of COREid 7.0.4. All applets in User, Group and Org Manager work fine with the exception of the Group Manager Workflow configuration Applet. The applet fails to load. Has anyone ever experienced this problem before? Any help is appreciated. The system information is:
Windows 2003 Server
IIS 6.0

  • Applet failed to load when visited using HTTPs protocol with Java 7

    We have a java applet on our website which worked for ages. Then Java 7 came out, people installed it. When people with Java 7 visiting our website using HTTPS, the applet failed to load (ClassNotFoundException). The same site and the same applet, when visit using regular HTTP, it works fine.
    People with previous version of Java (1.6.x) can see the applet using either HTTP or HTTPs with no problem.
    Anything we can do on our side to resolve this problem for people with Java 7 and like to stay with HTTPS?
    Googled and didn't see any relevant result. Any pointer would be much appreciated.

    Thanks for the quick response.
    Not much on the stack trace, did a tread dump below.
    It is an application requires login, please sent and email to [email protected] and I will sent you the url and login info by email.

  • The applet fails to load. with 'red cross' screen JVM 1.6.19 and above

    After updating the JVM to one of the latest version 1.6 builds, our users started to experience a problem with opening java applets.
    All the users have JVM versions 1.6.0_19 – 1.6.0_26 on Windows 7/2008. The browser is IE8. On the server usually there is IIS7, with ‘Integrated Windows authentication’
    on applet’s virtual folder. Applet’s classes are packaged into a signed JAR file. Both the client and the server are located in the same local area network with no proxy or firewall between them.
    The applet’s website usually belongs to the trusted security zone. When loaded, the applet establishes HTTP connection to the server to get the necessary data.
    When the user tries to open an HTML page containing the applet, there can be the following scenarios:
    1.     The applet fails to load. We’re getting a ‘red cross’ screen. All the HTML elements except of the applet are loaded OK.
    From the IIS log we can see that the loading of the JAR file failed with the error code 401, the user name field in the log for the JAR is empty.
    2.     The java asks for the user name and password showing a popup ‘Authentication required’. At this moment we can see the following message in the Java console:
    network: Firewall authentication: site=/XX.XX.XX.XX:XX, protocol=http, prompt=, scheme=ntlm
    If the user enters the correct credentials, the applet loads OK. Even if the user checks the ‘Save the password in your password list’ checkbox, Java continues to ask for credentials
    on every page reload. It’s worth to note that the company’s external firewall doesn’t get any requests from the applet.
    The problems happen even when the client and the server are located on the same machine, but never happens when we use localhost as the server name in the page URL.
    During investigations we found out the following workarounds:
    1.     Enabling anonymous authentication on the virtual folder always solves the problem.
    2.     Sometimes, changing security zone from ‘Trusted’ to ‘Local intranet’ solves the scenario 2 (‘Authentication required’ popup) problem.
    It’s worth to note that changing the security zone never helps if the page URL contains dots (for example, uses IP address instead the server name).
    3.     Upgrading to IE9 solves the scenario 2 problem partly: Java asks for the credentials only once.

    I have the same issue. I use single sign-on with IIS 7 and Integrated Window authentication on the tomcat virtual folder. The applet jar file is on the root directory of the web application (the same level of index.html). So I use '.' as the code_base to call the applet from javascript.
    So when I launch my web application into a browser, the auto-connection is successfully performed (single sign-on through Upstream, kerberos, remote_user, ...). But when I want to launch the applet in the web application, a new authentication panel (red panel with "authentication required") occurs in order to set credentials (login, password, domain) with the message in the java applet console:
    "network: Firewall authentication: site=myApplicationUrl, protocol=http, prompt=, scheme=ntlm"
    So why the applet doesn't inherit previous credentials in this case ??
    Have you solved this problem ?
    Thanks

  • Applett failed to load

    I keep getting "applet failed to load" message

    Hi donna232,
    Can you give us a few more details about your issue? Is this occurring when trying to load a particular web page, for instance?
    Let us know, we will keep helping you.
    Best of luck.

  • Java7 applet fails to load on Mountain lion & Lion

    I have developed sample cocoa (64 bit) webview application with all plug In settings enabled (setJavaEnabled:YES setPlugInsEnable:YES).
    But the Java applet plugin has been failed to load. I am using latest Java 7 from Oracle (update 25). I dont know the reason why plugin is fails in my sample always. Every thing works fine with Safari and Firefox.
    The issue I am facing with both Lion and Mountain Lion (10.7.5 and 10.8.4)
    Note: Test java applet url (http://www.java.com/en/download/testjava.jsp) to check the Java version  also fails in my sample application.
    Any help would be appreciated.

    I've managed to get the second applet to load by changing the deployment of the class files. Here's what I did.
    As indicated above, the LoaderApplet is in the default package as deployed outside of any jar file. The applet that it loads by class name is in a jar file in that same directory. Under 1.5 and previous, this second applet class file was located no problems. Under 1.6, the classloader doesn't find it.
    However, I extracted the jar file into the directory structure and now it loads fine.
    Why would something like this be different across the Java versions?

    The connection is ok but I figured out that it's not about the logging in.

  • FIM 2010 R2: Security group management by non-administrators

    Hi All,
    We have a small set of users (belonging to a particular department) who should be able to login to the portal and manage a select set of groups - the users should be able to add and remove members from these said groups. In most of the cases, the groups
    already exist in Active Directory and we bring them into FIM Portal.
    I have done the following so far:
    a) Created a set of users based on their departments - works fine
    b) Created a set of groups that the users in (a) should be managing - works fine
    c) Created 3 MPRs (resembling the MPRs that already exist for Group Management by administrators). 1 of these MPRs allows the set of users to read the attributes of the groups in the set in (b). The second allows the set of users to create and delete groups
    in the set. The third allows the set of users to "add a value to a multi-valued attribute", "remove a value from a multi-valued attribute", and "modify a single-valued attribute". In the list of attributes, I have included most
    of the attributes including "Manually-managed membership". All these 3 MPRs have the grant permission box checked.
    I (as a member of the set of users in (a)), can login to the portal, view the groups in set (b), modify the description, add an owner, remove an owner etc. When I try to add or remove a member from a group where I am one of the owners, everything is fine.
    BUT, when I try to add or remove a member from a group where I am not listed as an owner, it gives me an "Access denied" error with these details: "The request included members which the requestor is not authorized to add and/or remove from
    this group"
    I am a member of the set in (a) and can remove/add members from the groups that I am the owner of. My questions are:
    A) What else do I need to do to add/remove members from a group that I am not the owner of but this group still belongs to the set (b).
    B) Why does the Portal force me to add an owner to every group that of set (b) that I click to view/edit. Isn't there a way around that i.e. not having to put any owner and still be able to add/remove members. For all the groups in set (b), the Join Instruction
    is set to "None" (i.e. any user can become a member of the group).
    I hope someone can shed some light on this. I have seen similar questions on the forum from a few years ago but they hadn't been answered (completely).
    Thanks

    Hello,
    this is because there are to MPRs which Trigger a Group Validation Workflow (Requestor Validation).
    These 2 MPRs are responsible:
    - Group management workflow: Validate requestor on add member to open group
    - Group management workflow: Validate requestor on remove member
    The MPR Triggers this workflow for "All Non-Administrators".
    So you should edit the All Non-Administrators" Set and add the following to it:
    ResourceID not in (your set in a).
    So the Requestor Validation workflow will no longer be triggerd for your users in Set (A)

  • Why does this applet (with an audio clip) fail to load in a browser?

    Hello Java Experts.
    I am able to compile and run the applet in an IDE. The problem lies when I attempt to run the applet through a browser (such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, etc.). The entire applet fails to load (in the browser) when it includes code pertaining to audio clips, but works fine when it does not contain audio clip related code.
    Here is a Short, Self Contained, Compilable, Example that illustrates my problem:
    import javax.swing.*;  //  Required libraries
    import java.awt.*;
    import java.awt.event.*;
    import java.applet.*;
    public class Music extends JApplet  //  Music class is a subclass of the JApplet class
        AudioClip music;
        public void init ()
            music = getAudioClip (getCodeBase (), "sample.wav");  //  You may use your own audio file
            music.loop();
        public void paint (Graphics g)
            g.setColor (Color.blue);
            g.fillRect (0, 0, 800, 600);  //  THIS RECTANGLE IS NOT DRAWN (this is my test to see if the applet loads in the browser)
    }Please try to run this applet in a browser so that you can point me to my mistake(s).
    Thanks for the help in advance.

    Here is a Short, Self Contained, Compilable, Example that illustrates my problem:>The 'example' part of it, fails to manifest here. Using that exact code, I was able to see a blue rectangle in both AppletViewer and FF. You might try..
    1) Configuring the Java Console to open for applets by default - look in it for error messages.
    2) Change the name of the WAV to something that definitely +does not exist+ at the code base. (That would most closely replicate my own testing experience - since there is no WAV available here).

  • I have windows 7 , I was able to access games rooms in yahoo, now the game applet won.t load. I am a computer dummy so all the info on resitting plug ins is unintellegable to me. So can you please give me a simple plain english solution. Thank you.

    I don't know if the problem is due to java or firefox or some other program being updated. It does not matter which game I try to play. I get the popup requesting the authentication code and I type it in. I then get the game room applet but it will not load, even when I click on the click here spot if the applet fails to load.

    It sounds like you may have multiple problems, but none of them are likely to be caused by malware.
    First, the internet-related issues may be related to adware or a network compromise. I tend to lean more towards the latter, based on your description of the problem. See:
    http://www.adwaremedic.com/kb/baddns.php
    http://www.adwaremedic.com/kb/hackedrouter.php
    If investigation shows that this is not a network-specific issue, then it's probably adware. See my Adware Removal Guide for help finding and removing it. Note that you mention AdBlock as if it should have prevented this, but it's important to understand that ad blockers do not protect you against adware in any way. Neither would any kind of anti-virus software, which often doesn't detect adware.
    As for the other issues, it sounds like you've got some serious corruption. I would be inclined to say it sounds like a failing drive, except it sounds like you just got it replaced. How did you get all your files back after the new drive was installed?

  • Weblogic Admin console applet does not load

    I have installed Weblogic 6.1 SP3 with JDK 1.4.2_03. The admin console applet was
    working initially but when I installed oracle 8.1, the applet failed to load.
    A cross sign appears instead of navigation applet tree in the console application.
    I have set the classpath and java_home variables correctly. I tried to point java_home
    to jdk1.3.1 (java version shipped with Weblogic 6.1) and also changed entire classpath
    to point to jdk1.3.1 but no effect. The same configuration works on another machine
    where oracle is not installed.
    Please help...
    Thanks in advance

    If you have any pride you will get off Tripod as quickly as possible. It forces popups and other unwanted advertising on visitors. Any time I see that a site is on Tripod or About, I just ignore it and click the next choice.
    BTW if you stay on Tripod, you should consider changing the 'e' in your user name to an 'o'.

  • Some applets fail to run after installing jre 1.5/5.0

    Hi,
    I have a big problem. After installing java runtime environment 5.0 / 1.5, some java applets from sites no longer work. I can view certain java applets, but strangely, some applets do not work. For example, when I try to log into the Hushmail account <www.hushmail.com>, the applet fails to load properly. I enabled tracing and logging and this is the output from the console:

    Strangely, there is a message "JSS package is not found" from the console output above. What is this error and how do I rectify the problem so that I can view all applets without any problems?
