Correlation set based on Human task - receive activity

Hello everybody,
is it possible to define a correlation set based on a receive activity of an human task?
Thanks, Chris

Are you trying to set "Create with parameters" as default task flow activity ? in that case open the the task flow diagram , right click "Create with parameters" data control -> Mark Activity -> Default Activity.

    Hi,
    I have created a Task Flow based on Human Task in the Ui project. The task flow is auto -generated with the taskdetails.jspx as the default activity. If I try to include a ExceuteWithParams method in the task flow as the default activity the page gives a 500 Error in the workliist application.
    Can I no have a method activity as the default activity in this task flow.

  • Correlation set based on correlation from raised ADF event payload

    Hi,
    In a BPEL process, how can we include a Correlation set based on correlation from raised ADF event payload ?
    Thanks

    Hi Charles,
    Thanks for the response.
    Actually, my requirement is : I have a BPEL Process which has a pick activity. The OnMessage branch of the Pick activity is mapped to a service which is invoked by a Mediator. This Mediator is Subscribed to a Create Event.
    I am able to run my BPEL and Mediator instances separately but the problem is even though the Mediator is invoking the webservice, after the Create Event is raised, BPEL 's pick activity is not getting the response from the webservice due to which BPEL continues to be in running state.
    This might be a problem with a Correlation Id seting .
    How can i make by BPEL process know about the Mediator instance ? Any idea ?
    Thanks

  • How to set all required components false in ADF form based on human task?

    Hi All,
    I'm looking to implement an ADF form based on a human task. There are 2 outputs, Validate and Reject.
    On clicking Validate, my form does as expected, evaluates everything that is mandatory and expects these inputs in order to proceed.
    However, on reject, my form should overlook anything that's marked as mandatory. How do I go about making the "required" aspects of my form false so that no entries are required in order for me to reject the form.
    JDev - 11g.
    Any inputs will be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Preethi.

    Thank you Timo.
    This doesn't seem to bypass any of the mandatory components . It still prompts for an entry for those fields. do I need to change the partial submit or any other property?

  • Update an ADF Task Flow based on Human Task

    Hello friends,
    I'm working on Oracle BPM Suite 11g. So, I created a process including its human tasks. Later, I created a Task Flow based in the human task that I setup before. Now I added a new parameter to the human task and I need to update the task flow because (of course) it only contains the payload of the previous configuration.
    Can I do that? What can be the solution?
    Regards....
    AYVR

    It's covered in docs here: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E17904_01/integration.1111/e10224/bp_designtf.htm#BDCDFBCB
    Note that this only updates the control. You'll have to now drag those new payload properties onto the form. If you had removed any properties you'd need to remove those from the form.
    You should also do a refresh of the window that contains the data controls. Sometimes that's necessary to see the changes.

  • Filter database lookup based on human task (BPM 11g)

    Using BPM/SOA 11g PS3
    I have a business case where a field is pulling data from an external table and the user would like to filter the return based on the current step in the flow. For example:
    Database would return: A, B, C, D, E, F
    Human task 1 should show: A, B, C
    Human task 2: A, B, E, F
    Human task 3: C, D, E
    Human task 4: D, E, F
    Human task 5: E, F
    The BA would also like the ability to change this (if possible) without us having to redeploy. If I can avoid it, I don't want to hardcode these into the JSPX.
    Thoughts on how best to implement something like this?

    I was looking into using a business rule and using a decision table. I thought first, could I put the business rule in my task ADF...but then how do I know what task I am on, how do I pull that into my decision table?

  • Correlation exception reflecting on Human Task-Invalid scenario

    Hi
    We are using 11.1.1.6.0 version of BPM-SOA.I have defined correlation on orderID in the start message of the process containing a human task.
    I created the an instance with orderID 123 and it rests at the human task.Again i am calling the same bpm process with orderId 123, the instance is getting created and coming on the workspace too which is an invalid scenario.BPM should not allow bpm instance to be created with the same PURN number.On checking the EM, the same instance is faulted but it is reflecting on the workspace for the user to act upon.
    Please help it is breaking my code.

  • Taskflow based on human task and commons logging error

    Hi,
    Is the logging changed after the soa update. When I deploy the humantask taskflow to the soa-infra I got .the following error

    I had to remove the commons logging library from the project and add this to the orion-application.xml

    I don't use log4j , I just created a fusion webapp where I add taskflow based on a human task that's it.
    If I remove the commons logging then deployment fails.

  • Accessing Human Task output parameters

    Hi all.
    I have encountered a problem that I find to be
    quite irritating. I have already searched the
    forum, and read through the threads regarding
    this topic, but still haven't been able to solve
    the issue.
    I have a simple type String variable
    ({[http://www.w3org/2001/XMLSchema]}string)
    called "myName".
    First, I'm initializing this variable with the
    String "none":
    {color:#333333}<assign name = "setVariable">
    <copy>
    <from expression = "string('none')"/>
    <to variable = "myName"/>
    </copy>
    </assign>{color}
    Next, I'm passing this variable as an argument
    to a Human Task called "provideName", that has an
    modifiable attribute called "userName":
    {color:#333333}<copy>
    <from variable = "myName"/>
    <to variable = "initateTaskInput" part = "payload" query = "/taskservice:initiateTask/task:task/task:payload/task:userName"/>
    </copy>{color}
    Finally, right after the Human Tasks receive activity,
    I'm fetching the alleged modified value, and copy it
    back to my variable:
    {color:#333333}<copy>
    <from variable = "provideName_1_globalVariable" part = "payload" query = "/task:task/task:payload/task:userName"/>
    <to variable = "myName"/>
    </copy>{color}
    After deploying and starting the process, I claim the task
    on the worklist interface, modify the text field next to the
    label "userName" from "none" to "Tim", select "APPROVE" and
    hit the "GO"-button. I get the "your request was processed
    successfully"-notice, and the flow is reported to have
    completed, BUT: looking at the Audit Trail, I find that the
    variable "myName" actually hasn't changed it's value. It's
    still "none".
    What am I doing wrong? I'd be grateful for your help.
    Thanks!
    Tim
    Edited by: Tadhg207 (-> format)

    No, I did not. Frankly, I didn't know you had
    to save the form before you submit it. I literally
    tried everything, but that.
    Thank you for answering both my questions, James,
    I've spent ages trying to resolve these issues.
    I'd promote you to Guru right away, but, alas, I
    only got a mere 20 points at my disposal. Those
    are yours, though.
    Thanks again. :)

  • Human Task - Notification Setting

    Hi everyone
    I Want to customize the email message that will be sent to the Assignees.
    The message is as follows:
    Task <%/task:task/task:title%> requires your attention. Please access the task from the worklist application.
    Request ID: <%/task:task/task:payload/ns0:HumanTaskProcessRequest/ns0:Req_ID%>
    From: <%/task:task/task:payload/ns0:HumanTaskProcessRequest/ns0:From%>
    To: <%/task:task/task:payload/ns0:HumanTaskProcessRequest/ns0:To%>
    Purpose:<%/task:task/task:payload/ns0:HumanTaskProcessRequest/ns0:Purpose%>
    and it appears like this in the email message:
    Task RequestApproval requires your attention. Please access the task from the worklist application. Request ID: From: To: Purpose:
    I tried to add an Assign and create a copy operation to assign the input value of Request ID (for example) to the task payload. but it didn't work !!
    btw, I don't have anything under '/task:task/task:payload' and the path in the message has been added using the xpath builder

    If you are going to pass something in to the task you need to do it as a parameter. Then that parameter's hierarchy will appear under the payload section. You specify the parameter type in the human task definition and you specify the actual value passed in the human task BPEL activity.
    You can also use HTML to format the emails a little nicer.

  • Problem in Human Task in BPEL

    I have a BPEL process with eight human task.Ater the last human task in the switch block i have added one assign activity and one mail activity in the "APPROVED" case. I have deployed the process and ran it. The flow got stuck in the last human task receive call back step and not proceeding to next switch, but i have already approved the task from worklist.
    I have added oned one BAM sensor in that receive step and the sensor was set on "completion". BAM has received the data that ""receive completed".so it seems like that the receive actiivity gets completed but not showing in the BPEL visual flow also not proceeding further.
    After that I removed the assign activity and mail activity and tested it once..it worked fine..
    It looks strange to me....

    There's probably a problem within your assign activity. Check the domain log as Eric suggested. You can find it @:
    $ORACLE_HOME/bpel/domains/<your_domain>/logs/domain.log

  • Not able to access human task form (11.1.1.4)

    I installed SOA Suite with BPM Suite 11.1.1.4. I ran into quite a few issues. The biggest one is I am not able to access the human task form in BPM workspace even for the new application created in 11.1.14.
    Do you have such issue? I am not sure if it is a bug or is related to my specific installation. I followed the document “Quick Start Guide for Oracle® SOA Suite 11gR1 (11.1.1.4.0) Version 1.6” for the installation. The only difference is that I installed the generic version of WebLogic and JDev and configured them to use JDK 64-bit version since my OS is windows 7 (64-bit). Before, I had installed 11.1.1.3 with 64-bit and it was working fine. The only tool installed with 32-bit is the JDev 11.1.1.3. Since JDev 11.1.1.4 is supporting 64-bit, I installed everything with 64-bit for this time.
    The details of the error are the following:
    With JDev 11.1.1.4, I created a new application which has a simple BPM process with 3 flow objects: start event-user activity-end event. The human task has the auto-generated task form. I deployed the application to the SOA server.
    When testing the application, the task was created and listed in the BPM workspace. But when I clicked the task link to open the task form, the web page was hanging. I noticed the following log was REPEATED again and again in the access.log:

    Please help if you know what is going on for the issue.
    Thanks a lot,
    Helen

    Go to OEM, select the SOA Composite application you deployed.
    Under Component Metrics … click the link of the Human Workflow Component that you have the issue
    The settings of the Human Workflow Component would be displayed
    Click the Administration tab, you will get the URI setting for the human task
    update the Host name etc. as you want and click "OK" then click "Apply"
    Please note: this is just a shortcut for my own dev-env. I have not got the time to figure out why this happens. It is sure not the right solution for the production if we have the issue in the prod-env, I think.

  • Warning after creating Human Task Flow in ADF project

    I'm using JDev 11g and have created my SOA Composite containing a Human Task. • Human task notification after due date/expiration date/...

    I would like to set a due date (or expiration date) to Human task, and set some notification before this time. Ok, it seemed very easy:
    - i set due date to 5 minutes in human task -> Deadlines
    - i set notifications in human task -> notification and in tab Advanced i set remind once 2 minutes before due date
    Nothing happens. Exactly same (nothing) happens when i do the same with expiration date.
    But what exactly is meaned under word "Reminder"?
    It's mail? (then where I have to set email adress? I tried to set a "to" field in human task -> notification -> tab Advanced -> notif. header attributes => nothing happened)
    It's worklist inbox message?
    Or what ist "reminder" and how it should remind me?

    Hi,
    I don’t know if you’ve managed to resolve this issue yet and you mention you have emails working from BPEL, but I'm not sure if you've got any notifications working for the Human Task, if not then I have done some work with the human task notifications and although I’ve not tried to do what you’re doing, this is what I have learned.
    Firstly to receive any notifications you need to configure the Messaging Driver and Workflow Notification Properties…
    In Enterprise Manager expand [farm] -> SOA -> soa-infra
    Right click soa-infra and choose SOA Administration -> Workflow Notification Properties
    Underneath the page title (Workflow Notification Properties) is a note telling you to configure the Messaging Service Driver. Click the "Go to the Messaging Driver page" link.
    In the associated drivers section you will have a single entry for soa_server1 (or what ever it's called for you). In the right hand column there is a button for configuring the driver, click this.
    In the driver specific configuration, scroll down to OutgoingMailServer and enter the hostname or IP address of your mail server, then click Apply at the top of the screen.
    Now go back to the Workflow Notification Properties screen and choose “Email” from the notification Mode and enter some sensible email addresses in the Notification Service section. It’s useful to have real email addresses in here at the moment because any failures will be returned to this address.
    You now need to restart Weblogic for these changes to take affect.
    After the restart you can test the notifications by doing the following
    Back in Enterprise Manager expand [farm] -> SOA -> soa-infra
    Right click soa-infra and choose Service Engines -> Human Workflow
    Click on the Notification Management tab.
    You can click the "Sent Test Notification" button to make sure everything is working ok. This screen also allows you to monitor notifications for failures.
    Now that the notifications have been set up you can configure who gets notified on which events against your human task in JDeveloper.
    The email addresses for the users are retrieved from your identify provider for the relevant user, by default this is the internal LDAP directory. I’m not using this, so I’m not sure exactly how this will work. There are options in the worklist application for individual users, but I’m not using this either.
    Now that this is set up you can configure the human task within JDeveloper. On the notification tab you can decide who gets notified when. By default when a task is assigned to a user, the assignees are notified, you can play about with these settings to see what works best for you. Have a look at http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12839_01/integration.1111/e10224/bp_workflow.htm#BABBHDGF for more information.
    I’m not sure I’ve solved your problem, but I hope this at least helps.

  • Create ADF Task Flow for Human task outside of SOA Composite

    Hi,
    Is there any way you can create ADF Task Flow form (for the task Details to be display in worklistapp) for a Human task out side of the SOA Composite applicaiton?. I know we can create ADF Task flow form for task details based on Human Task in SOA composite application. But I dont want to do that. I dont want to keep any association between Human task and ADF Task Flow.
    If there is a way to do this, How can we assiciate this ADF Task flow form with worklist applicaiton?
    Thanks
