Taskflow based on human task and commons logging error

Hi,
Is the logging changed after the soa update. When I deploy the humantask taskflow to the soa-infra I got .the following error
Caused by: org.apache.commons.logging.LogConfigurationException: org.apache.commons.logging.LogConfigurationException: Invalid class loader hierarchy. You have more than one version of 'org.apache.commons.logging.Log' visible, which is not allowed. (Caused by org.apache.commons.logging.LogConfigurationException: Invalid class loader hierarchy. I had to remove the commons logging library from the project and add this to the orion-application.xml

I don't use log4j , I just created a fusion webapp where I add taskflow based on a human task that's it.
If I remove the commons logging then deployment fails.

Update an ADF Task Flow based on Human Task

Hello friends,
I'm working on Oracle BPM Suite 11g. So, I created a process including its human tasks. Later, I created a Task Flow based in the human task that I setup before. Now I added a new parameter to the human task and I need to update the task flow because (of course) it only contains the payload of the previous configuration.
Can I do that? What can be the solution?

Note that this only updates the control. You'll have to now drag those new payload properties onto the form. If you had removed any properties you'd need to remove those from the form.
You should also do a refresh of the window that contains the data controls. Sometimes that's necessary to see the changes.

Task Flow based on Human Task

Hi,
I have created a Task Flow based on Human Task in the Ui project. The task flow is auto -generated with the taskdetails.jspx as the default activity. If I try to include a ExceuteWithParams method in the task flow as the default activity the page gives a 500 Error in the workliist application.
Can I no have a method activity as the default activity in this task flow.

Are you trying to set "Create with parameters" as default task flow activity ? in that case open the the task flow diagram , right click "Create with parameters" data control -> Mark Activity -> Default Activity.

How to retrieve a due date from a human task and create a report in BAM with it

Hi.
I'm working with a BPM process, the requirement is that I have a human task and a working hours limit to complete it. For this purpose I created a calendar in the bpm workspace and I've associated it to a role that executes that human task. Now I need to know how can I pass it into a data_object in BAM in order to create a Dashboard that lets me know whether a human task was completed just in time.
I'm using Oracle SOA Suite 11.1.1.7.0

There's a correction to the code. For whatever reason doing it that way still sets it as a "remind me when" parameter. Use the following code instead:

Human Task and Exit Activity in parallel

Hi ,
I have a case where in Process1 there is a Human Task , and also there is an OnEvent (which is another operation on the same process1 wsdl) for terminating the process. This On Event contains only one activity namely "Exit".
I could see that when a terminate activity is triggered the process instance is getting terminated, however the Human Task still shows as active in the BPM.
Has anybody faced this ?
I am using the em console to test the Process and using the correlation to hit the correct instance which is happening.

Maybe I have to pass some variable to the other human task? But..., with my comments I don't pass any variable and it works...

Very Important, how much Free Space is on your Hard Drive first of all? Click on the Macintosh HD on the Desktop, then do a Get Info on it.
Could be many things, we should start with this...
"Try Disk Utility
1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu at top of the screen. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
*Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
3. Click the First Aid tab.
4. Select your Mac OS X volume.
5. Click Repair Disk, (not Repair Permissions). Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."

Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)
If perchance you can't find your install Disc, at least try it from the Safe Boot part onward.
Do they launch OK while in Safe Mode?

I uninstalled completely and installed again. I am able to create Human Task now. Maybe it helps someone.

How to set all required components false in ADF form based on human task?

Hi All,
I'm looking to implement an ADF form based on a human task. There are 2 outputs, Validate and Reject.
On clicking Validate, my form does as expected, evaluates everything that is mandatory and expects these inputs in order to proceed.
However, on reject, my form should overlook anything that's marked as mandatory. How do I go about making the "required" aspects of my form false so that no entries are required in order for me to reject the form.
JDev - 11g.

This doesn't seem to bypass any of the mandatory components . It still prompts for an entry for those fields. do I need to change the partial submit or any other property?

Filter database lookup based on human task (BPM 11g)

Using BPM/SOA 11g PS3
I have a business case where a field is pulling data from an external table and the user would like to filter the return based on the current step in the flow. For example:
Database would return: A, B, C, D, E, F
Human task 1 should show: A, B, C
Human task 2: A, B, E, F
Human task 3: C, D, E
Human task 4: D, E, F
Human task 5: E, F
The BA would also like the ability to change this (if possible) without us having to redeploy. If I can avoid it, I don't want to hardcode these into the JSPX.
Thoughts on how best to implement something like this?

I was looking into using a business rule and using a decision table. I thought first, could I put the business rule in my task ADF...but then how do I know what task I am on, how do I pull that into my decision table?

Payload on Human Task and Task Form

Hi all,
I have implemented a simple BPM process on Oracle BPM 11g suite, that it calls a human task activity. The payload, for this activity, is a Data Object (related to external XSD) and it is editable via worklist. The user interface for this Human Task implementation is generated automatically through Auto-Generate actions without any customization.
The application has been deployed successfully from JDev, but when I open the task by Workspace, I see all fields of payload in read-only mode, so I cannot edit nothing in the task form.
Please let me know what could be the problem.

Are you using ps2 (11.1.1.3)? There was an issue where initiator human task activities that had parameters that were complex types needed to have the Data Object initialized via a script activity, or the fields could not be edited in the task from.
There's an example of how to use the script in the SalesQuoteDemo. Basically you use the oraext:parseXML() function to create an initialized version of the Data Object and assign it to the Data Object in a script activity that's placed before the Initiator Human Activity. It can also be used to set defaults if needed. Here's a snippet of the expression from the SalesQuoteDemo.

Cluster and commons-logging jar LogConfigurationException

My configuration:
-OAS 10.1.3.1 on 2 machines with oracle cluster configuration (discovery).
My app:
-ear which includes simple ejb3 module with commons-logging-1.1.jar lib (Jakarta commons logging)
-clustering and replication is configured (in orion-application.xml):

When I'm trying to deploy my application I always get an error during deployment:

[01-Jan-1970 01:00:00] Error deserializing return-value: org.apache.commons.logging.LogConfigurationException; nested exception is: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: org.apache.commons.logging.LogConfigurationException
It doesn't matter if I try to deploy it on one or both machines. The exception is always the same on each machine.
When I get rid of clustering/replication configuration (from orion-application.xml or during deployment) application is deployed without any problem.
Also when I remove commons-logging-1.1.jar application is deployed.
I know that there is already apache.commons.logging 1.0.4 in OAS shared libraries by it's not selected in "Configure Class Loading" by default.
I also tried use the same version (1.0.4) in my app - didn't help.
I can also deploy without any problem war file or ear file with web module, which has commons-logging-1.1.jar. But not ejb!
Any advice?

Hey Darek -- I just gave it a quick try -- the ListQueries query works as expected.
This is how I executed it and the results it returned.

Log4j and commons logging

Hi,
My application is using log4j, I get my logger as follows:
private static Logger sLogger = Logger.getLogger(Neolyser.class);My problem is that Im using a library thats using commons logging and writes all its logging onto my logger, which I dont want. I want only to see my log statements, I'm happy enough with exceptions and stack traces from the library. So how can I turn off the commons logging? Or at least get it to write to another logger? Deploying EBF with a Human Task and Task Forms usingAIA Deployment Plan

Hi All,
I have a set of composites for an invoice interface - File Adapter, Req ABCS, EBS, Prov ABCS, DB Adapter, Resp EBS and an EBF. If my invoice doesnt go through due to some validation errors, I let the user edit the invoice using a Human Task called from my EBF.
When I deploy the EBF from the jdeveloper, it deploys the Task Form as well, and they get deployed correctly. For the test and production instances, we use AID scripts, and they work fine for all the AIA components. I am looking for suggestions on how to deploy the Task form (ADF) linked to the Human Task of an AIA component.

tasks forms are not really different from other applications when it comes to deployment via an AIA deployment plan. There are some examples available for this in FP's own deployment plan, e.g. like this:

filelocation="${AIA_HOME}/Infrastructure/Install/applications/ActorNotNull_FYINull.ear"
wlserver="fp" failonerror="false" action="deploy"/>
So these task forms can simply be deployed like any other ear, you just need to explicitly call it out in the deployment plan.

Human Task and worklistapp

SOA Suite 10.1.3.1.0
If I create a blank BPEL process and add a human task (only modifications to the default settings is title and adding one assignee as username) the approval (or any outcome selection) of the task from the worklist application sometimes succeeds, but most of the time it fails.
guess it has to be some kind of timeout issue... ?!
any suggestions on this matter?
