Are you using v7? Do you have an up-to-date back up? If so, try copy the library6.iphoto file from the back up to the iPhoto Library (Right Click -> Show Package Contents) allowing it to overwrite the damaged file. If not, then you'll need to create and populate a new library.
To create and populate a new library:
Note this will give you a working library with the same Events and pictures as before, however, you will lose your albums, keywords, modified versions, books, calendars etc.
In the iPhoto Preferences -> Events Uncheck the box at 'Imported Items from the Finder'
Move the iPhoto Library to the desktop
Launch iPhoto. It will ask if you wish to create a new Library. Say Yes.
Go into the iPhoto Library (Right Click -> Show Package Contents on your desktop and find the Originals folder. From the Originals folder drag the individual Event Folders to the iPhoto Window and it will recreate them in the new library.
When you're sure all is well you can delete the iPhoto Library on your desktop.
In the future, in addition to your usual back up routine, you might like to make a copy of the library6.iPhoto file whenever you have made changes to the library as protection against database corruption.

  • Microsoft Visio 2010 - error 128 - corrupt file cannot open

I've tried everything in the Microsoft self-help article and nothing has worked. I'm assuming that keeping the Visio file on a flash drive and hibernating the laptop with the file open might have caused this. Does anyone know how to fix it? Do I need a
Level 2 to help? Am I simply going to have to redraw? Many questions - hoping for answers from this learned group.

    Hi,
    Try the following methods:
Switch on your computer system then sign on as an administrator.
Click on the Start button then click All Programs, Accessories, System, and after that select System Restore.
Inside the new window, select “Restore my PC to an earlier period” and after that click Next.
Select the most recent system restore point from the “select a restoration date” listing, then click on Next.
Then click the Next button on the verification window.
Reboot the pc once the restoration has finished.
    Or:
open the directory where the file is stored in windows explorer
right-click on the file and select properties
    Select the previous versions tab
Select the most recent version from a restore point and select 'open'
If the file opens successfully then save it as a new version of the file.
If it won't open, try an earlier one, and so on until you are successful.

  • File cannot open

It's weird and I can't understand this problem! I bring some
files from my work computer to my home computer and I have Flash 8
in both places but when I try to a) open the swf/html files - they
don't work b) open the fla files - I get an "file cannot open"
error. I have the latest versions of player and Flash 8 installed!
This is driving me crazy! Has anyone heard of this bug? What
should I do. I'm not able to continue working on stuff at home
    because of this.
    Thanks!

we see it here all the time actually - could be corrupt files
    - probably being corrupted due to the
method you are using to transport them - are you using some
kind of flash drive or portable device?

  • Error opening CHM file (Cannot open the file: mk:@MSITStore)

    Hi,
I'm getting an error opening a CHM file (Cannot open the file: mk:@MSITStore). I have tried the following solutions, but neither of them worked:
Deleted the CPD file, reopened the project, and recompiled.
Ran MJ's Diagnostics report and recompiled.
    I'm using RH10 and Windows 7.
I have lots of other projects, and none of them result in this error. I can't think of anything else to fix it. I have seen a few threads on this issue, but none of them have lead me to any solutions that work for me. I'm hoping that starting a new thread will provide visibility and allow someone to share a solution.
    Thanks,
    Amy

    ---UPDATE---
I was able to fix this by generating the WebHelp and then regenerating the CHM file. I'm not sure why this worked, but it did.
However, I'm also seeing this issue with a different project now, and this "fix" isn't fixing that one. So I still need an actual solution. At least for now, the first project is "fixed."
    Thanks!
    Amy

  • FLV(F4V): Specific f4v file cannot open with Firefox

    Hi all,
I have a flv movie garelly kind of thing on my website, works all fine on IE v11 and Chrome v32.
However, there is one specific f4v file cannot open on Firefox v26.
Getting error says  [HTTP/1.1 404 Not Found 315ms].
There were no problem with about one year earlier version of Firefox, on Win7 x64, now I'm on Win8.1 x64.
Anyone have any idea about this?
    Any help will be appreciated.

Seems that after upgrading to 11.10, jnlp files open with firefox instead of javaws (Java Web Start).
If you right click the file on the download folder and choose "open with" you can manually select java web start.
    Ubuntu bug...
You can right click any .jnlp file and select "properties", go to "Open With" tab, mark Sun Java 6 Web Start and click "Set as Default". Should fix it. I don't know what would happen if you have the default ubuntu java instead of Sun's. Maybe this wouldn't be necessary.

  • Elements 9 saved file "cannot open because it is the wrong type of file"

I have Windows XP.  I just purchased Photoshop Elements 9.
I open a raw, tiff or jpg image in Elements 9, make changes to it and then save it as a tiff or jpg.
About a third of the time the icon for the saved image appears as a file and not a thumbnail of the image in my saved folder.
When I try to re-open it in Elements 9 I get the message "Cannot open because it is the wrong type of file"
I never had this problem with Elements 7.

Every camera model has its own raw format, and Adobe can't update the camera raw plug-in until it gets the information from the manufacturer, and the process takes a while. You shouldn't have to wait more than a couple of months for this. In the meantime you can use the manufacturer's software, or try downloading the latest DNG converter to see if it can make DNG files from your camera that will work in ACR.
Incidentally, you're not talking to adobe here, just to other users like yourself.
The standlalone DNG converter download is here:

  • Pdf file cannot open

    Hi.
Every time I try to open the pdf file my Adobe Reader cant open it. I tried to open another pdf files and it was easy and effective.
How can I open my .pdf file?
    thanks in advance!

    Following steps can handle it
Remove the PDF file that was corrupted by sending it to the recycle bin then empty the recycle bin. Download the PDF file again from the original source. While the Acrobat is downloading the file, limit your computer usage, this will only take a few minutes so just walk away from the computer momentarily. Open the new PDF file once the download has completed.
Remove your Adobe Acrobat Reader program. Click "Start" and select "Control panel." When the control panel opens find "Adobe Acrobat Reader" click on the program then select "Uninstall." Allow the program to complete the entire uninstall process.
Reboot your computer by clicking the "Start" then select "Restart." When the computer is finished rebooting reinstall the "Adobe Acrobat Reader" from Adobe official site. Download the latest version of the "Acrobat" for your computer's operating system. This will take a few minutes to complete the reinstall.
Download the PDF file again by visiting the website that you obtained the corrupted PDF file from. The file should be able to open correctly, but if you are still getting a corrupted file, proceed to the next step.

  • Html file cannot open by IE

    hi,
I had created my report using html library from the function palette. I can open the file and see the image correctly only on those PCs on my programming PC. However I cannot see the image on those new PCs using the IE. All PCs have the same version. I cannot open the "x" with  right click also. Any idea what is missing here?
I have attached the file for your reference.
    Appreciate any help.
    Shin Seong

    Shin,
i think you didn't attach the file due to the preview button which removes the file....
Nevertheless, if you create an html-report, you should get more than only one html-file. There should be a subfolder in the directory where the html-file is located which has the same name as the html-file. Within this folder, you should find all screenshots you need for the report.
    hope this helps,
    Norbert

  • MS Access Web App: corrupted table, cannot open in Access anymore

**tldr: How can I delete a corrupted table that prevents me from opening my Web App in Access?**
I used the Access desktop client to create a new table with approx 20 lookup fields. When I tried saving the table, I received an error message about too many indices. So I set the index option to "no" for all the lookup fields and tried to close
the "edit table view". However, I was not able to close the edit table view anymore. After trying for a while, I used the task manager to terminate Access.
Now, when I try to open my app in Access by clicking the "customize in Access" button on the web, I receive several error messages:
     1. Operation failed: the table xxx contains too many indices. Delete some indices and try again. (this error message appears about 5 times)
     2. Microsoft Access can not create the table
     3. A problem occurred when trying to access a property or method of the OLE object.
Next, I'm at the Access start screen. My application does not open.
So, is there any other way I can delete the corrupted table without opening it through the Access client? Maybe directly accessing the SQL server? The database is configured to allow read/write connections, becasue I connected to the tables from an Access Desktop
Database, but I'm not sure if I can delete a table or fields that way. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Not sure, but you may have to many indexes created, see below article:

Hope its not corrupted though. If so, I hope you have a backup in place.

  • Video file "cannot open" also icon in videos folder is white.

    Can someone please help me...
I have an iphone 6 and filmed a few videos last night at a concert which would probably be about 4mins long each or around that... Now when I try to play them it says "Cannot open" and the icon in the video folder appears white or blank.
I have just updated my phone to 8.1.3 with hopes it would play them with no luck.
I have also tried to transfer them to my laptop and opening with many different programs with no luck; the program opens but nothing ever loads into it.
Can someone please help me recover my videos? Or at least tell me why this is happening so it doesn't happen again.
    I am very disappointed!

    Jason,
I apologize for the delayed response. been busy.
I further apologize for missing your sentence about the 3201 error in the original post.
Were you able to solve your problems?
To answer your last question: No, faulty path definition would not display the 3201 error. Your trace should read "0" if Reader is installed. The white box will always show up when you initiate a pdf request through HTML (unless you change the background color, of course).
The only way I have been able to reproduce your error on the Mac is by uninstalling Reader altogether, or by installing incorrectly. By this I mean forcing unseen errors on install, which probably wouldn't have happened when you installed Reader. But, you may want to check that Reader is properly installing to the \Applications directories on all your Macs, which doesn't seem like it would make any difference - but you never know sometimes.
I recommend building a very simple pdf viewer with traces to test, so as not to interfere with your main application.
If you are still having problems, please let me know and I will try to troubleshoot as best as possible.

  • Corrupt pdf files cannot open

I have a scanner that will scan documents into PDF format.
I use this method for keeping my paper storage to a minimum by keeping physical copies of only the most important documents (i.e tax returns).  I scan documents into my laptop and then destroy the originals.  I have Adobe 9 for reading them once they are scanned in.
My problem is recently my laptop has apparently been selective in what it will and will not open.  Some files open fine with no problems.  Others, scanned with the same scanner into the same format at the same time, will not open.
    The message I get says
Acrobat could not open 'file name.pdf' because it is either not a supported file or because the file has been corrupted.
The files were not sent to me via email.  I created them from my scanner or my using the pdf program as a printer (printing Word docs or web pages into pdf instead of onto paper).  When the documents were first scanned, they opened fine.  Now they do not.  Can anyone tell me how to fix this?
I am very frustrated because I need these documents and they cannot be replaced.

If I were you, I'd start with the support for the software you use for scanning. Sounds like it's got something out of whack.
If it's a good PDF, Reader will open it.
