Corrupted content error message

This problem is unique to Firefox and my PC only - my husband has an older version of Firefox as he doesn't use it. I think I have version 7.0.1 and use Windows XP.
Problem is only on certain websites, the main one being an affiliate host site and it also affects ALL my affiliate links directing through that affiliate host site. Tnere are 2 affiliate type other sites I've found with same problem - www.clickbank.com and a small one called www.kKangoojumps.com.

I had the same error while downloading a file from one of website.
The error was due to Content-Length.
Ex.
header('Content-Length: ' . filesize($filename));
Commenting the above line resolved the problem, allowing the file to download as before.
Ex.
//header('Content-Length: ' . filesize($filename));

When I try to log in to certain sites to get email or when I try to access a few sites I get a Corrupted Content Error message. If I use Internet explorer the sites work fine. I disabled my entire Norton internet security program and there was no change. Current OS is windows 7 on a hp platform.

Corrupt Content Error after Upgrade to 7.0.1

Ever since I upgraded to 7.0.1., I've been having problems with multiple websites generated a Corrupted Content Error when I try to load them. I NEVER had this before I allowed Firefox to update! I've double checked my version and it is, indeed, 7.0.1.
This is what the message looks like:

Most frequently, I get this error when trying to play an online game, Tribal Wars, and attempting to load the initial game overview page. As soon as that page starts to load, I get this:

If I click on TRY AGAIN, I then get this:

At that point, the page finally loads. Again, I get this "Corrupted Content Error" with numerous pages now and it is quite infuriating.
Furthermore, I'm getting DNS lookup errors right and left whereas before, I did not. Other than the update to Firefox, nothing else has changed. So this may be the result of that update, or I may have yet ANOTHER problem with Hughesnet. This I have not resolved and its like looking for a friggen needle in a haystack.
I'm totally perplexed. Whereas I've LOVED Firefox, all of a sudden I'm rethinking that and beginning to consider scrapping it for something else.
Any assistance here would be appreciated.

I get this on firefox. I get this on waterfox. I get this on nightly. I don't get it on chrome. I don't get it on internet explorer. I don't get it on comodo dragon. I don't get it on arora. I don't get it on konqueror...... Anyone noticing a pattern here?
I'm willing to admit that it's probably something to do with my isp server, so Mozilla can feel holier than thou about it, but if that's the way they insist on going, I suggest that the next time they upgrade, they call their browser Canute.

Unable to download .pdf file from a website, but IE8 provided the download without hesitation.
Both v7 and v8 produced the same message:

This may be a particular website problem, or it may be common to the particular industry segment and their protocols.
I have followed the help leads and examined the profile for Firefox as used in this instance. Nothing untoward seemed to pop out as a causal factor.

Reworked some of the javascript for our webserver and fixed the problem.

We have done toleration testing on firefox version 5 thru 6 and haven't got an issue with our website generating pdf files for our users. One of our users upgraded to firefox version 7.0.1 and they tried to generate a pdf report, now a screen pops up with Corrupted Content Error The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because an error in the data transmission was detected. I recreated this issue on my pc yesterday by installing firefox 7.0.1. Any hints as to what I need to look at would help. Cannot provide the url because it is a secure website for law enforcement. You can turn off compatibility checking, but more and more of the Google Toolbar will not work. Google is no longer supporting the Google Toolbar so you should use the alternatives.

I get the Corrupted content Error loading a page on my local server but it works in Chrome and IE (and Firefox before version 7) When I saved the page as a file(Chrome), I could load that file in Frefox.

I just got out of a chat with Apple Support. They are sending me a free disc copy of iWork 09, which is very nice. Unfortunately, other than getting a copy of 09, it doesn't look like there is a solution to making the files compatible.

Are you attempting to send a video file which you have on your hard drive to Premiere Elements3? Or is it a slideshow which you have just made in the PSE slide show create function which you are attemptin to send ?
If it is a video file on your hard drive, then I suggest that you first try to bring the video directly in to Premiere Elements 3. If you have already attempted adding a video file directly to Prem Elem 3, then I recommend that you post your question in the separate forum for Premiere Elements. I suggest that you include info about the file type and codec of the video file as well as what variation of Windows you are running.

- I have previously sent photo files from Photoshop Elements 5 to Premiere Elements 3: however I have never attempted to do a Send of a video file. There are many types of video files for which the PSE 5 Organizer has very limited support and that is why I think that you would be better using Premiere Elementa 3 to work with video.
Or perhaps you might have a newer format of video file that Premiere Elements 3 does not support for editing. For example, AVCHD format is not supporedt in PE 3 but is supported in newer versions. This question about types of video is better asked in the Premiere Elements forum.

" Cannot validate contents " error message

I have tried several times to download software updates available ( Java, Security 2011-11 and i tunes) and am getting the error message "Installer cannot validate contents, contact manufacturer". I've tried downloading directly from apple website and got the same message. I have verified permissions and repaired permissions, tried again and got the same message. I also got an error message when I tried to update Adobe this morning. Any help would be appreciated.

What that means is the disc image cannot be verified usually because it is damaged in some way or is a defective download. You might try re-downloading again (I know you already have) until you are able to get a "good" result. Of course if the file is damaged on the server then you will never get a good result.
If your network connection is slow (telephone modem) then these downloads are far to large for regular success. Line glitches, even one, can render the resulting file worthless. Other network related problems can corrupt file downloads.
Last consider repairing the hard drive (not permissions which have nothing to do with the problem.) If your hard drive has problems then it may not be saving the downloads properly.
Repair the Hard Drive
Boot from your OS X Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported, then quit DU and return to the installer. Now restart normally.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.

Corrupted ipod error message

I've had my ipod for about 3 years, and I haven't really had any problems. Knock on wood.
I downloaded the newer version of itunes, and synced my ipod to it. Now my ipod has no music in it, and there is an error message that pops up when I plug it in that says my ipod is corrupted.
Is that bad? Also, what can I do to fix it?

This link did not fix my problem. I have the same problem ( to be called the Corrupted, restore loop)and spent 2 hours on with a product specialist, level two support and they could not fix it. They point the blame on my laptop. But my laptop works fine. any suggestions on how to fix this would be great

After trying to change my printer settings on CUPS administrator area to allow to share my wirelless printer to my VirtualBox environment (somehow virtualbox doesn't detect my wirelless printer) I notice that this area stop to work. After it I try to update the CUPS by installing a new version. I admint that I am a newby in unix environment and I downloaded the CUPS v1.6.1 and installed through the terminal,

sudo make
make install
After restarting apple site no longer opened like also my home page. Other programs also stopped working and always warn about the same error described bellow. I posted my last try which was reinstall my system Snow Leopard (Mac OS X 10.6.8). Does anyone deal with this problem before? How can I reinstall at least the operation system or just fixing this library will solve the problem?
Note: The reason of using virtualbox is that I need to use a prescribed software that only works in windows environment and since I need to make work in other places the wireless printing is the only viable way to do this.

Here is another option.
I had the same problem with my Mac OSX System 10.8.4 after update cups from 1.6.2 to 1.6.3.
I have a MacBookPro with the same system version and copy the libcups.2.dylib file form /usr/lib/ then replace the error file in my other Mac.
1. Install cups 1.6.2 again
2. Replace the file libcups.2.dylib in /usr/lib/ directory with this one libcups.2.dylib
Note: I added the link if you dont have an other mac in the same version available.
This works for me.

Itunes corrupt version error message. tried to re-download itunes and same error message

My itunes gives me an error message saying
"This copy of iTunes is corrupted or is not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes"
I tried to download from their site, and when i try to install it, it says "thank you for downloading iTunes" but it is not on my computer, i cant find the file anywhere

Let's try a repair install of iTunes first.
Restart the PC. If you're using Vista or 7, now head into your Uninstall a program control panel, select "iTunes" and then click "Repair". If you're using XP, head into your Add or Remove Programs control panel, select "iTunes", click "Change" and then click "Repair".
Can you launch your iTunes now?
