Corrupted program?

I just downloaded 1.5.3 and rebooted. When the program first opens, it shows 1/2 inch of the top of one screen of aperture hiding behind another screen. When I click on the oval button on the top right hand side of the screen that toggles the toolbar on and off it seems to go away (covered by the toolbar it would seem), but it still doesn't seem right.... When I close down aperture and reopen it, it reopens with the same double screen (with the toolbar hiding again). Any ideas?

I have NO idea if my photo is somewhere in the above code. I've never done this before. (I selected the 'forum' code #1 that was offered, but I really don't know what I'm doing!)
It should be a picture of my double aperture screen.
Let me know!

    i know
thats what the TAC engineer was saying as well. he also said that there are a lot of customers running the same type of services we have and there isnt any issue.
We have had some serious issues with a SIP trunk to a provider's GSM gateway, which is why i configured the router as a CUBE. i have configured MTP and transcoding on the CUBE but registered to the CUCM. this has since been removed and all MTP is on the CUCM presently. the crashes occured after this if i recollect correctly.
We were going to attempt to have locally registered MTP resources on the CUBE but we are actually waiting on the engineers (We have another case open for this other issue relating to DTMF) to ensure that when we do configure local MTP on the CUBE,we dont interfere with this present case.
here is the case number and ive attached a crash dump file just in case.
    SR 615528219 - CATS: C3845// 12.4(25c)// Crashed// Software Bus Error//
Thanks and i do appreciate taking the look into it for me.
Something i just remembered. as i mentioned, i have the transcoding and mtp configured on the CUBE but they were registered and ASSOCIATED in the resource group list. We REMOVED the hardware MTP from the MRGL but they are still registered. So i have'nt actually shutdown the transcoding and mtp profiles on the CUBE.

  • I have been told that my I-tunes has probably been corrupted.  How do I remove the corrupted program and restore an i-tunes that is not corrupted.  Also, how do I get the new uncorrepted i-tunes to up date the i-pad and i-phone?

I have been told that my i-tunes is probably corrupted.  How do I uninstall the corrupted i-tunes and install an i-tunes that is not corrupted?  Will this automatically be sync.ed to my i-phone4s and i-pad once corrected on my emachine computer?

Just download a fresh installer and see if that works. If it is in the Add/Remove or Programs and Features, then uninstall and reinstall. If it cant, or isnt listed, then just reinstall.

  • Adobe Encore won't take Compressor m2v file. Orange screen. Corrupt program?

I just finished a 90 minute program and brought the audio and video files from compressor
to another post house that uses Adobe PP to do our spanish translation and subtitling.
This was probably my 4th versuin going through the tweaking process with them, with all
previous versions(files) working just fine. Of course our FINAL version has a bug.
Encore was not accepting(audio was fine) the video file but the timeline in Adobe's editor played it back fine.
Long story short, I attempted a few more Compressor(3) burns with no luck(I did notice the
yellow triangles with exclamation !). I also tried copying the program to a new timeline-no luck there either.
He ended up ripping the video file from a DVD to complete the project.
The next day I opened a different program in FCP and when I stopped on the timeline
the Canvas screen suddenly has an orange filter over the video.
When I hit the spacebar to play video it plays fine.
I needed to yousendit this program and exported it Using QT conversion and they received it with
acutal full playing orange filter scenes.
    I'm guessing I have a corrupt something
Would I do a entrire system software reload?
    Just a Compression software reload?
    Sorry this got so long.
    Kevin

Does anyone have any idea what this may be?
    Thanks.

  • Reinstallation after corrupted program

IN XP, using PD4.0.  LOng-time user. Very much like the PD4  I have original installation disc.  Need to uninstall corrupted PD4.0 but save all my projects and PD4 pictures.  How do I safely reinstall the program? Tried to run program from CD but it hangs.  HELP!

What is PD4?  This is the Photoshop forum.
In a general sense, it's long since been high time to move on from Windows XP.  It's an outdated operating system and you're going to have more and more trouble trying to use it as a basis for your computer work.

  • How do I get my itune purchases back.  Lost them due to corrupted program or file, then computer, acer laptop crashed.  I have a desktop computer and would like to put my purchases on it.

My laptop-acer-crashed.  Before it crashed, my audio started to act up,  It would work then silence.  Then my tv shows which I purchased in itunes would freeze up then start, freeze again then played.  It got to the point that I could not even play my shows or movies.  Then my computer crashed, seen the famous blue screen.  Restarted the computer and did a full scan for programs and files.  Found 2 files for removal, so I did that, but it still crashes.  Now I can't do anything on it.  I can't even get into moxilla to google anything.  Laptop is useless.  It would cost alot to fix it and my itunes library is lost anyways.
So I would like my purchases back so I can get them on my desktop.  I've spent
alot of money on itunes cards to purchase these lost items.  So is my itunes library lost forever or is there a way to get them back.

    From your OLD computer...
Copy your ENTIRE iTunes FOLDER to an External Drive... and then from the External Drive to your New Computer..

  • IPhoto update 7.1.2 corrupted program

I updated my Macbook just before I left on holiday. Lo and behold, iphoto will not run at all. I'm out of the country with no system discs. I do have a 'previous system' from before the update (done at the apple store) but cannot find iPhoto on it. I can see the file 'Photo Library' on my hard drive, but can get absolutely nowhere. Any ideas? (I thought this crap only happened with the 'other' computer company which is why I switched to Apple!)

    tootzy:
What happens when you try to launch iPhoto? Does it bounce in the dock a couple of times before quitting? Delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your User/Library/Preferences folder and try launching iPhoto again.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

  • Trying to install iTunes on Windows 7 to replace corrupted program.  After download, I get ERROR 7 (Windows Error 193) and iTunes won't work.

I've had iTunes on my PC for years (Windows 7 now).  I ran an offered Apple iTunes update recently which seemed to mess up the system.  When trying to open iTunes, I get the error "Error 7 (Windows error 193)."  I've tried to repair iTunes, removed all iTunes files and install as new, etc.  Nothing works.  The same error message comes up.  Also, during installation, I get the message:
Service 'Apple Mobile Device' (Apple Mobile Device) failed to start.  Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services.
    ABORT     RETRY      IGNORE
I've tried RETRY and IGNORE with no success.

  • Firefox opens when I click on a hyperlink in an e-mail in my Outlook 2003 program, but does not go to the URL in the link. It used to work before I re-installed my MS XP Pro 64 bit OS. Help!

At first, after I re-installed the OS, nothing would happen when I clicked on an e-mail hyperlink. So I went to Folder Options in Control Panel and associated Firefox with the E-mail file type. Firefox then opened when I clicked on a hyperlink in an e-mail, but just opens to the Firefox start page ("Blank page"). Firefox does not open the URL in the hyperlink. I need guidance as to how to restore this function which worked perfectly before I had to re-install the OS due to a corrupted program installer. I have run the MS Office Detect and Repair function twice--both times indicating that everything is fine--but it does not make a difference in fixing the Firefox function.
NEW: An attempt to click on the link in Security Center to go to Microsoft Update brings up an error message that reads: "The requested lookup key was not found in any active activation context." I have no idea what this means, but I suspect it is related to the lack of ability to open Firefox to a link URL.
See the uploaded screen print(JPEG) below.
UPDATE: PROBLEM SOLVED!! Searched on error message on line, solution fixed problem. THANKS ANYWAY

    # Yes, if you go to accounts.firefox.org, sign out, you will now be signed out.
    # Sign back in, and you will be asked to save the password you entered.
    # This will save the password and autocomplete if you have this option turned on.
I am not exactly sure why the menu did not detect the password change or if it was stored incorrectly after you changed it? But after storing the correct password you can manage any duplicate passwords in the password manager.[[Password manager - Remember, delete and change saved passwords in Firefox]]

If you do have a corrupt program, the only cure I know is to uninstall and reinstall
Uninstall... run the Cleaner... Restart your computer... Reinstall
-using the cleaner after uninstalling and before reinstalling

Also... based on reading MANY messages, Mac time machine and migration do not work with Adobe programs due to problems with the registration process

  • Elements 9.0.3 for Mac crashes every time I quit program

I receive an error every time I quit PSE.  I always do File->Quit to leave the program, but even that causes a crash.  I have the crash file, but because of its length I don't want to post that here, but it might help someone understand the problem.  I always get the window that asks me if I want to send a report to Adobe, which I've done several times.  I don't want to do an update to PSE 10 or 11, since I'm afraid it would just update an already corrupted program and leave me no better than I am now.
    I'm using Lion, version 10.7.5.
    Any help would be appreciated.

So, if I understand you correctly, it's not really crashing, just throwing out the crash message when you tell it to quit?
Try this. Go to your username>library>preferences and delete:
    com.adobe.PhotoshopElements.plist
    Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 paths
    Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 settings
That library is hidden in 10.7. To see it, option-click the Go menu in the Finder. While you're in there, go to the Saved Application States folder and delete everything related to PSE.
    Repair permissions and try again.

  • Computer Notification says Update when I click the Udate fails at the 40% point

I am kind of stumped on this as it has happened quite a few times over the last 2 years and I use Adobe on my ViSalus Body By Vi 90 Day Challenge website www.flab2fabin90days.com as well as my blog http://bodybyvi90daychallengeinfo.blogspot.ca/ and other things I do on a day to day basis on my computer as I work from home with my home business
It is very frustrating and I though that maybe I had downloaded a corrupt program or something and tried doing system restore a few times which wiped out both my free anti virus with Avast and also Mcaffee ( lost McAfee twice ) resulting in my not being able to use my computer for my home based business for a week while it was in a repair shop, which is when I bought McAffee. When this problem happened again I did a system restore for the 2nd and 3rd time and somehow it had cancelled my subscribtion with McAffee both times resulting in my having to contact their tech support and spend an hour + correcting the problem
Does anyone have an idea as to why I can not complete these downloads I get when I get the system notifications from my computer?

Download the offline installer here: http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/
As to your other issues. Adobe Reader contains NO APIs or code that would have ANY affect at all on antivirus software. NONE.
Running two different A/V programs (Avast AND McAffee) is one of the absolute worst things you can do if you want and need a stable system. It gets even worse if one of those programs is McAffee. It doesn't "play well" at all with other A/V apps. Pick one or the other and stick with it, but you're begging for trouble if you keep both.

  • Voice Memo Crashing - Help.

My "voice memo" keeps crashing when i try to open it.  It has played since my last software update, so I'm not sure what happened. When I sync my phones through itunes, my new voice memos won't transfer either. Any thoughts on how to retrieve the data?

I got through to apple help line on the phone.  It was a corrupt program.  They had me back up all my data and then reformat the phone which re-installed the latest voice memo program.  Fortunately, all my voice memos stayed in tact and once the program was re-installed it opened them again.  Because it is an error on apple's side, there is no cost for the phone tech help. Good luck!

  • HP officejet pro 8100 not printing documents when asked, and slow to respond.

My Officejet Pro 8100 has allways been used wireless. It allways had a lag when asked to print and producing the document. Often the unable to connect to printer message comes up, then shortly latter it started to print.
We have now switched to Vergin Media ISP. The printere was set up to the new network as before no problem. The router is lacated downstairs by by our TV where the cable enters the house. Our 2 pc's are now wireless due to this (one windows XP and one Windows 7). Then there's Ipads etc.
Conectivity is not a problem the pcs are located in our study with the printer upstairs. My Ipad works in the Garden so theres plenty of range. All devices are on the same conection.
The problem with slow printing is now worse. Ask to print and often nothing happens. Switch printer off/on and it may print the last comand of not. It may accept the next command to print or not. Indescrimnently it may print 'misssed prints' at any time.
Basically it cannot be relied on to print when asked to, really frustrating!! The printers wireless indicator is lit its conected to the network. Any ideas as this is a real pain. Remote printing from a phone is a no go as it probably wont happen.
We need to print and it happen.

    Hello @Ants9,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
I would like to assist you today with resolving the slow printing issue that you're experiencing with your networked HP Officejet Pro 8100 ePrinter from your Windows computers and other devices. I understand that this issue began with your original router and now is occuring with your new network. I am going to run you through some troubleshooting steps below to resolve this issue.
Step 1: Run Print and Scan Doctor:
To verify that your printer is properly detected on your Windows XP and Windows 7 computers I would like you to download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor Tool. This Tool will run on your computers and 'fix printing' issues for you. Should any driver, connection, or software conflict be found than the HP Print and Scan Doctor Tool will attempt to resolve those conflicts for you.
Please click here to download the HP Print and Scan Doctor Tool. Please download this Tool on your Windows XP and Windows 7 computers.
Once the Tool has completed, please test printing again. Should the issue persist, please proceed to the next step.
    Step 2: Powercycle Network:
First, unplug the power cable to your Router
Once your Router is unplugged, turn off your printer
    Next, shut down your computer
After 30 seconds to 1 minutes, plug your Router back in
    Next, turn on your printer
    Turn on the computer
After a few minutes the internet connection will return. Please check on your Windows computers and ensure that you're able to browse to websites before continuing. Once the network is up and running again please test printing to check the printing speeds.
Should the issue persist, please proceed to the next step.
    Step 3: Update Firmware:
There is chance that corrupted programming in your printer could be causing the slow printing issue. Therefore, I am going to have you update the Firmware Version on your printer.
Please click here to download the latest programming on your printer. Once the website opens select the Download button on the top left. Follow any onscreen instructions to send the Firmware Update to the printer. This update can be run from either the Windows XP or Windows 7 computers.
Please test printing again to verify if everything is now working as it should be.
Please respond to this post with the result of your troubleshooting. I look forward to hearing from you!
