Corruption, crashing, signature dropping, duplicate mails sent omg

*First the facts:*
. Mail folder (in Library) is almost 6GB (cringe), most of which (3.1GB) is used by one of my 5 pop mail accounts
. envelope index is 33 MB
Crashing:
. Occasionally mail crashes and gives me the 'Mail has quit unexpectadly...do you want to report it, reopen it or close it'
Corruption:
. Certain messages have become confused, specifically an email that I sent to one person may have the message body of a message i sent to another person
.I also get the following message for a lot of old emails: 'The message from [email protected] concerning “RE: very important subject” has not been downloaded from the server. You need to take this account online in order to download it.'
. some recipients receive my emails twice
. the signature I assigned to one of my accounts isn't consistently available; one day I assign the signature to the profile and the sig is available to use in the top right corner of a new mail, next day it is not available in that drop down box
I'm pretty sure the size of my mail folder has a lot to do with this so I'd appreciate any advice on how to fix this situation but also on a way to manage my mail going forward.

First try this, Quit Mail. Move these files to the Desktop in...

Add Signature to E-Mails Sent from Preview

When I e-mail a document from Preview my signature is not automatically added to the e-mail. I can add it quickly from the signatures on the right, but I am running a small business and don't want the risk of forgetting to add it.
Mail automatically adds the signature to new messages and to replies, it just doesn't add it from an e-mail created in Preview.
To duplicate: open an image or PDF in Preview. Click on File --> Mail Image. A new mail message is created with the document attached, but the new e-mail does not automatically include my signature.
I am using OS X 10.5.8, Mail 3.6 (936), and Preview 4.2 (469.5).

Yes, same here, but the funny thing is that it tries to add it, (can tell because if the signature has external links, then Little Snitch will ask if Mail can connect to it just like composing a new one that does display it), but the signature drop down always says None & it doesn't display.
Copying the text of the PDF in Preview & using Services>Mail>Sand Selection does add the signature, but of course no PDF layout, just the text.
Only workaround I found is lots more work... Open PDF in Acrobat or Reader, File>Attach to Mail... new window opens without sig, Select All of the body, copy, close mail, CMD+n for a New mail, click in body, paste, sig is there.
I don't expect that to be a workable solution.

Scot setting for Duplicate mails being sent

Hi,
I have a custom program that send mails , up on execution. Is there any setting in SCOT,
through which, duplicate mails will be sent to the reciepient id, upon the the execution of the program.
Say, I execute the report once, and I get 3 mails.

Wrong signature inserted by Mail by default

I have multiple email accounts. When I choose, Send New Mail Through Account "A", the signature for account A is always inserted. However, the account being used when I reply to incoming mail is the email address that received mail was addressed to. So I reply to mail in account B, the signature drop down says NONE, but my account "A" signature is already there. I have an email in composition that is to be sent using account B and has the sig for account A in there. I have to manually go into the signature drop down, choose the sig for account B (the only available choice aside from None), and the proper signature is inserted. I have different signatures for each account, by the way.
I presume that Mail should either insert the signature assigned to that account (fine by me) or insert no signature when it is reflecting NONE as the signature chosen in these replies. The current behavior has to be an error, in my view. Does this get reported to Apple Developers? I want to report this bug.

Someone writes me on my home account.
I hit reply.
Mail correctly opens a reply using my home account,
but it inserts my work signature in there.
I too have just experienced this problem, except the other way around. In fact I just sent a "work" email to my boss from my home that has my home signature in it. Hope she doesn't notice!!
I have a work account (IMAP) with 2 work sigs with one as the default and 2 home accounts with several home sigs, each account also with one as the default. Whenever I reply to a work email, the window that pops open ALWAYs has a home sig in it. I have to either click on the account pop-up list and re-select the work account (and then the correct sig magically appears) or go to the sig pop-up where (unlike you if I'm understanding correctly) the work sigs ARE listed and I can choose it from there.
Further,
the signature dropdown in the composition window is
set to None.
Yes I'm experiencing that also.
When I go to the sig dropdown, it only
offers zeb@home -- the correct sig, and the only sig
associated with my home account. I choose it and the
correct sig replaces the incorrect work sig.
This I'm not seeing...the sig list in these wrongly sigged work reply emails shows the correct list of work sigs. It's displaying a home sig which is labelled as "None". But unlike you, for me the right sigs are listed there and I can choose it then and all is well. My only problem is that now I have to check my sigs to make sure.
Also, this only happens when I reply to work emails. New work emails don't have this problem. It doesn't happen at all with any of my other two accounts.

Status to Mail sent and Not sent

I have a list of records which contains to whom i should send a mail.Below is the screen shot and procedure which gives me the records.
Now i want a stored procedure , In below screenshot if 1st record means if the mail is sent for 1st record it should mark as sent . and i should be left out with a records for which a mail is not sent.
From the below proc i have got these two records.
Please help me with the procedure.I am using SQL server 2008.
The mail sending process is all done through coldfusion. I just want to give a list of mails sent and if sent it should mark as sent and should be left out with not sent mails.

Digital Signature with Mapi Mailer

Hi All, I have been using LR and Mapi Mailer since version 1 to mail images directly out of LR. I have recently added a html digital signature to my mails that are sent from outlook express, but cannot figure if it is at all possible to attach the signature to mails sent via LR and Mapi Mailer. Is this possible?

The latest MapiMailer plug-in opens photo attachments (one or more) directly in your email client (Outlook Express) so your html signature should appear automatically at the bottom of your new message if you have already configured the account settings to do that in Outlook Express.

Firefox crashes when sending e-mail from hotmail. This is not an issue for safari. Help!

Firefox keeps crashing when I try to create a new e-mail in hotmail or forward an e-mail. It is a browser issue, because when I try to do the same thing in safari, I don't have any trouble.

I did. When I type in about crashes in the address bar I get this:
Submitted Crash Reports
No crash reports have been submitted.
How can I search for a crash signature when I don't get one? Is there something I can do to make sure that I do get one.

Can't get the "Choose signature" drop down menu to work

I have changed my mail signature and can't get the "Choose signature" drop down menu to work. It is Grayed out and I can't use it as a choice, thus I don't have any signature when composing mail.

When customizing my Button Toobars I can't get the Bookmark Toolbar Drop down menu to stay, it simply disappears once I close the customization window

Outlook 2010 duplicates mail with setting Leave mail on sever, Delete After n days and pressing Send/Receive All folders

The setting Leave mail on the server and Delete after n days and Pressing Send/Receive all folders causes outlook 2010 to duplicate all mails of the last n days over and over again.
If I leave outlook 2010 open this problem does not occur, mail will be retreived without a problem. If I leave Outlook 2010 open for a long time and then press Send/Receive all folders it does work ok. If I restart Outlook 2010 and then press Send/Receive
all folders the problem occurs.
The pst file is a new one. OTher mail accounts that do have Leave mail on the server but not Remove after n days do not have the duplicating behaviour.
I have manually removed 6400 duplicate mails, if Microsoft does not solve this urgent problem soon I need to remove Office 2010 from my computer and go back to Office 2007, Office 2007 worked fine for me.
Is there a solution fir this problem, or a free tool to remove all duplicates?

I suggest creating a new Outlook profile, and create the problematic account in the new profile, to see if the problem occurs.
Here are the detailed steps on how to create a new profile to test this issue

1.    Exit
Outlook.
2.    Go to
Start > Control Panel, click or double-click
Mail.
Mail appears in different Control Panel locations depending upon the version of the Microsoft Windows operating system, Control Panel view selected,
and whether a 32- or 64-bit operating system or version of Outlook is installed.
The easiest way to locate
Mail is to open Control Panel in Windows, and then in the
Search box at the top of window, type Mail. In
Control Panel for Windows XP, type Mail in the
Address box.
Note    The Mail icon appears after Outlook starts for the first time.
The title bar of the Mail Setup dialog box contains the name of the current profile. To select a different existing profile, click Show Profiles, select
the profile name, and then click Properties.
3.    Click
Show Profiles. Choose Prompt for a profile to be used.
4.    Click
Add.
5.    Type a name for the profile, and then click
OK. Please also follow the onscreen instructions to create the email account in this profile.
6.    Start
Outlook, and choose this new profile.
If this problem does not occur in the new Outlook profile, the old Outlook is corrupted. We can delete that and use a new Outlook profile.

I checked your account at the backend and found many transactions sent out.
In order to narrow down the issue and search we need to know the specific transaction detail for which you faced this issue.
1. Signers email address
2. Senders email address
3.Name of the document
4. Date it was sent.

HTML Signature Help In Mail

I have created an HTML signature via the methods posted in many places on the internet (Create HTML, Open in Safari, Save as .webarchive, Replace signature file in ~Library/Mail/Signatures folder, Reopen Mail, etc.) and I am still having an issue.
My HTML file works fine in Safari and looks how I want. When I compose a new email, the HTML signature shows up in the message exactly how I'd like. However, when I send the message, the HTML signature no longer appears. It's missing from the message in the Sent Folder and it does not show up as anything in the sender's email program. They don't get a box with a question mark in it, they just don't get anything as a signature. I've sent it to people (and myself) who use Mail, Hotmail, Gmail, and Outlook and the HTML signature doesn't show up on any of them.
Anyone know why it looks great during the composition of the email but just isn't getting sent out?

I've selected that new signature to be used in my emails, and it shows up when I compose a new email. It just doesn't appear when the email is sent, nor is it in the message when you open in from the Sent Folder. Somewhere after hitting "Send Message" it disappears.

Signatures in e-mails

Received my new BB Q10 after fully satisfied with Bold. I have a problem typing in a signature for my e-mails sent from the BB, if I type in typical German characters like ä/ö/ü (if you don't see these correctly here, it is about an 'a', 'o' or 'u' with a transverse colon on it) these are shown correctly in the signature field. But when sending the e-mails all these characters are deleted (not replaced or showing any other characters). How can this problem be solved? Can the text in the signature be formated in general? Thank's for any help!

Signature location in mail

how do you set up signature location in mail. i am having problems. every time i reply or forward an email then i choose a signature to use, i notice that it comes out at the very bottom of the message. i want my signature to come out right after the new message that i compose.

In your Mail preferences, you go to the Signatures feature button and then click on the + sign at the botton of the middle pane.
Name the Signature and type the info you want. You can also drag and drop a graphic that you want to add to your signature.
At the bottom of the window, click on the box for "Place signature above quoted text".

Duplicate mails because of forwarding aliases.

We have a Snow Leopard mail server. I have same aliases to forward incoming mails. We have two groups and a dozen users. Most of users are belong to these groups. And there are forwarding aliases for users to the boss. If a mail sent to groups and a few people as cc, then the boss accepting duplicate mails (one from group and one for each user added as cc) is there any way to prevent these duplicates.
Note: It was working with no duplicate on Leopard server (I was thinking that mail service is so clever), the issue seen after upgrade.

To my knowledge, cyrus in LS did duplicate suppression by default and dovecot in SLS cannot do duplicate suppression at all. Too bad, because I too thought this was a helpful feature.

My Firefox crashes every time I open it and none of the steps in the database solve the problem. My crash signature is PaintFrame(nsIRenderingContext*, nsIFrame*, nsRegion const&, unsigned int, unsigned int)

I tried opening it in safe mode and none of the other help tips in the database on firefox crashes when I open it apply to me. I also ran a couple of virus programs to check for any infections and found nothing. I had been having issues with java previous to firefox beginning to crash. So I attempted to uninstall java from my computer but it did not help.
My crash signature is PaintFrame(nsIRenderingContext*, nsIFrame*, nsRegion const&, unsigned int, unsigned int) and a search of this term on Mozilla Support pulled up no results.
I'm not terribly knowledgeable with programming so any suggestions would help!

I read online about a "clean reinstall" of firefox which seems to have worked! They should include direction on this on their page: https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Firefox+crashes+when+you+open+it
