Hi,
I have 2 scenarios new and existing in exiting i will show grid and in new edit box.
I f user is in edit box and select existing radio button then i am getting bellow error.
"could not commit action because item is currently in focus". kindly help me how to disable item when there is a focus.

Hello,
You can use the click sub to set the focus.
So put a EditText into you screen, and when you would like to disable your item, move the cursor to the EditText
oform.items.item("DUMMYEDITTEXT").Click ()
'Now you can disable to the item you wanted.

Hi experts,
we developed addons for our client in 2007 B version.
Recently we upgraded our client server from SAP 2007B to 8.8.
The addons worked fine in 2007B.when we upgraded to 8.8 the error is occuring like
"Item-could not commit action because item is currently in focus [66000-23]"
when i disable a textbox(already it is focus) in my form the above error is occuring.
But this error was not happened with 2007B.
Please tell me is there any solution with out changing the code(i am unable to change the code).

Hi Jonathan,
Besides setting the focus and trying to disable the control, it was still throwing exception. So I tried a following:
Work around for this issue.
                                    Try
                                        oForm.Items.Item("ControlWithFocus").Enabled = False
                                    Catch ex As Exception
                                        Dim oItem As Item = oForm.Items.Item("AnyOtherItem")
                                        oItem.Click(BoCellClickType.ct_Regular)
                                        oForm.Items.Item("ControlWithFocus").Enabled = False
                                    End Try
This is a trick where you can set focus to another control and set enable to false.

See whether a reset of Preferences solves the problem
A logical next step would be to reset your Preferences.
To reset Preferences:
If Photoshop is already open on your screen, close it (Quit). Then hold down Shift+Ctrl+Alt (Win) / Shift+Command+Option (Mac) on your keyboard and start Photoshop.
A dialog box will pop up asking if you want to delete the existing Preferences file (the "Settings"). Click Yes in the dialog box. The existing Preferences file will be scrapped and a new one will be created.

I tried the ctrl alt shift and click yes to delete preferences and it didn't work. Where are my actions? I have no issues with disc space etc (over 500 free) Any help is greatly appreciated as I have many edits to get to customers

CS5 won't start - "Could not load actions because an unexpected end-of-file was encountered"

It's version 12.0.2. When I click ok, it says "Could not initialize photoshop because the preferences file was invalid (it has been deleted)".
Any ideas what I could do to get the program to start? I've restarted the machine several times.

I managed to sort this out now - by deleting preferences

When I edit, it says it could not complete action because there is not enough memoray(RAM)

When I am editing in photoshop cs6, a screen pops up that says it could not complete a certain action command because there is not enough memory(RAM). I have taken my computer to the shop and they put more RAM in. Not sure what to do anymore? It is slowing my editing process down. :/ Please help!

What exactly are you doing in Photoshop and how much RAM do you have now that they put more in? Have you tried closing all other applications when working in Photoshop? Otherwise, we need to know a lot more to help you. In the future, please provide answers to the questions listed here: "FAQ: What information should I provide when asking a question on this forum?"

Can anyone help me with this? I regularly use external USB and Firewire hard drives. It is not uncommon for me to get this message at times when it appears to me that nothing at all is open or in use on a particular drive. Right now I have a 500 GB USB drive plugged in. I shut down every application I was aware of. I cannot think of anything on that drive that is "in use." Like I said, this happens once in a while with different drives and I feel stuck. I have Activity Monitor open and am looking for something obvious but don't know quite what to look for. Disk Utility gives me the same message. Any clues; help?

Anyway...
planb77 - not sure how I would “kill all the current Finder processess” but the link you provided sure spoke directly to the issue and, though I have not tried the Terminal force eject as yet (next time I get stuck I will) I was pleased to read that it is an issue and Apple is hopefully addressing it.
WZZZ - that was helpful, knowing now that mdworker is associated with Spotlight. I have discovered Spotlight to be the culprit behind a few mysterious pauses, halts, humms and what seemed like meditative moments. I’ve since learned to set aside down time to dedicate Spotlight toward the indexing of a given drive, rather than try to work while it is working..

When you load Action and when you create new actions they are saved into you Photoshop Preferences into Actions Palette.psp. This File is read when you start Photoshop.
Apple and Microsoft both like to hide important files on users. Windows search and Apple finder will not find and show hidden files unless you change Mac and Windows setting. I you getting the error when you start Photoshop there is a shortcut to reset preferences. Hold down Alt, Ctrl, and Shift keys (Mac: Command, Option, Shift) while starting up Photoshop you should be prompted to for an OK to delete preferences.
If this keeps happening perhaps you have a bad spot on your disk. Loaded actions are saved into that file so they should show up in the Actions Palette when Photoshop Start Up and read that file during start up. Photoshop Writes that file when you load action sets, when you record and edit actions and most likly also when you close down Photoshop.

I have a user on an iMac 10.6 connected to our domain. She uses Outlook web access for email on our exchange server. Last week she received the following message which is randomly preventing her from sending emails. She claims no attachment was involved in the original email when this all started. I have not been able to look at her account as she is out of the office but maybe someone else dealt with this issue. I realize this may not be Mac related but thought I'd give it a try. She did say it occurred once over two days while working on a PC but it continued over the past weekend.

The conflict may have occurred when an existing item was updated on another computer or device. Open the item again and try making your changes. This is because F-Secure Anti-Virus for Microsoft Exchange has detected a virus in the attachment. If the user tries to send the message again, the message will be sent but without the attachment. PS - have found other posts indicating that clips smaller than 2s or sometimes 5s, or "short files" can cause this. Modern style editing often uses short takes ! Good grief I cannot believe Apple. Well I deleted a half a dozen short sections and can export, but now of course the video is a ruined piiece of junk and I need to re-do the whole thing, the sound etc. which is basically taking as much time as the original. And each time I re-do it I risk again this lovely error -50 and again trying to figure out what thing bugs it via trial and error instead of a REASONABLE ERROR MESSAGE POINTING TO THE CLIP IT CAN'T PROCESS. I HATE this iMovie application - full of BUGS BUGS BUGS which Apple will not fix obviously, since I had this product for a few years and see just hundreds of hits on Google about this error with disappointed users. Such junk I cannot believe I paid money for it and Apple does not support it with fixes !!!

I am unable to sync my music, applications, movies, etc. to my iPod touch. The only way I am able to bypass the message that pops out when I try to sync (the one in the title) is by clicking "Apply" instead of "Sync". To do this, I make changes to Apps, Music, or Movies (...) and the buttons "Revert" and "Apply" will replace the button "Sync".
My problem is most likely not due to using many accounts because I only have one and it is the only one that I use. I do not share accounts with my family members. Still, I have tried everything here, nothing has worked for me. Since I don't often listen to Podcasts, I have deleted them from my iPod. I have no idea why I am unable to sync and no one seems to have the same problem as me.

I recently purchased an IPAD AIR and synced ir with my comuter. 14 days later I try and SYNC it and I get a message " The IPAD could not be synced because this computer is no longe authorized for purchased items that are on this IPAD. The apple id's are the same and only 2 devices authorized. Meessage states to go to STORE and Authorize Computer. When I do I get a Message it is already authorized

The problem appeared to be a Pending Request on the IPAD for the new ICLOUD option to share Keychain. I cleared that up and it appears that fixed the issue. Thanks for your help

I am trying to make a click and drag backup on an external FAT 32 drive to compliment my Time Machine backup (long story) and I've done this each time by dragging my critical folders into the drive. I get a message asking me to stop, replace or skip, and whether to apply to all items. i click replace, apply all, and let it go.
however, one stubborn folder refuses to comply. every single time I click and drag a group of folder that includes that one, I get a message saying "the operation could not be completed because an item with the name xyz already exists" even after I selected the the "apply all" prompt. at which point, the Mac stops transferring ALL the other files.
I figured, OK, i'll just transfer the other folders individually and then deal with this folder later. so I do that, and once I get to the offending folder, I try to transfer just that one folder into the drive. no good; I get the operation message again. I decide to just transfer the contents of the folder, rather than the folder itself. No good, I just get the operation message about one of the folders within the main folder.
anyone know the cause, or at least a fix?

If you've installed a system modification called "TotalFinder," remove it according to the developer's instructions after backing up all data. Log out, log back in, and try again.
Otherwise, open the Info dialog on both the source and the destination volumes. What is the Format of each? For example, it might be "Mac OS Extended (Journaled)".
