  • Could not load file or assembly 'log4net, Version=1.2.10.0, Culture=neutral

    Hi,
    I have a web site developed with vs 2010 (32-bit) and crystal report 13 (for sv 2010). It's working well i when crystal report installed in gac. I need to this app on a server WITHOUT crystal report installed. so I copied all required crystal assemblies into the bin folder and publish it. I always get following error message
    Could not load file or assembly 'log4net, Version=1.2.10.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=692fbea5521e1304' or one of its dependencies. The located assembly's manifest definition does not match the assembly reference. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131040)
    I tried a lot of solutions in this forum, but none of them resolved my issue.
    Please help!!
    thanks,

    Stick with x86 or x64, not Any CPU.
    Don't include log4net manually

  • Could not load file or assembly 'log4net, Version=1.2.10.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=692fbea5521e1304' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.

    I have seen this question all over the internet and the solution is simpel, install the runtime library x64 on the x64 webserver...
    But what if your not allowed to install on the external webserver, you are just allowed to copy files (which I did to the bin directory following with this error).
    Is there a way to distribute crystal report runtime by a copy action ?
    Thanks
    Leon

    No, you can't simply copy the files. They require registering the COM components and registry entries.
    You have to get permission from your ISP, if not then find a new ISP.

    Hi!
    I have an application which works fine on local host but gives me the below error when hosted on server. Have spent a lot of time cracking the same. Could anyone please help basis their experience.

    Try searching before posting, lots of posts on this question.
    Typically you are not using the redist package to get CR installed on the WEB server or permissions on the viewer and \temp folder...

  • Could not load file or assembly 'log4net' or one of its dependencies. An at

    Hi guys,
    Yesterday I downloaded the CR release for VS2010. Before this I was using the Beta (and later Beta2) version. Both worked fine. I first uninstalled the beta version, next I installed the release version. No problems with installing. But now I'm trying to use CR. I get the error:
    "Could not load file or assembly 'log4net' or one of its dependencies. An attempt was made to load a program with an incorrect format.".
    I noticed that it has something to do with the runtime enviroment. If I set the project's platform target to x86, it works fine. Turning it back to 'any CPU' or x64, it results in that error. (I'm using w7 x64).
    I did install the the x64 runtime (CRRuntime_64bit_13_0.msi, also asked at the end of the installation).
    Any ideas how to solve this?
    Why is CR using log4net anyway?
    Best,
    Danny

    Hi Ludek,
    Thanks for you replies. Let's answer them:
    -Is this a local install, or are you using some sort of a remote connection?
      It's my local development machine.
    -Are you getting the error at build time or at runtime?
      Both: VS2010 doesn't give a compiler error, but only a warning. At runtime in completly crashes.
    - Look in the GAC. Do you see Log4Net.dll? There should be two - one for 32 bit and one for 64 bit OS (same version though).
      Both are there.
    Further I noticed the following.
    - If I set the target platform to Any CPU (and thus x64), when building, log4net.dll is copied to the bin folder. If the target platform is set to x32, log4net.dll is not copied. If a take a look at the last modified time of the dll and compare this to the dll in the GAC, the 64-bit dll is copied. So this looks right.
    - If I selected the included reference in VS2010, it says that the path of the reference is the following: ...\Crystal Reports for .NET Framework 4.0\Common\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\win32_x86\dotnet\CrystalDecisions.ReportSource.dll. So it looks like the 32-bit version of CR is used.  When I go the folder Crystal Reports for ...\.NET Framework 4.0\Common\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\win32_x86, I can find here a folder "dotnet", containing all the references included in the project. Taking a look into the "win64_x64" folder, I can't find the "dotnet" folder. I did install the 64-bit runtime version.
    Hope this information helps

    Hi All,
    We are developing a windows service for Lync user state change using UCMA 4.0.
    It works fine in 64 bit system but once we run the window service in 32 bit system we are getting the exception as  below.
    Exception  message: Could not load file or assembly 'SIPEPS, Version=5.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35' or one of its dependencies.
    We are referring only “Microsoft.Rtc.Collaboration.dll” but internally this Dll refers SIPES.dll.
    Please let us know whether any SIPEPS.dll available for 32 bit system or how we can resolve this issue.

    Is there anyways by which we can make this working in 32bit system also.
    Any Roundabout for this specific SIPEPS.DLL for 32 bit system.

  • Could not load file or assembly log4net or one of it dependencies

  • TFS 2013 Update 4:Could not load file or assembly 'LibGit2Sharp, Version=0.13.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.

    Issue: We have upgraded TFS 2013 App Server and Build Servers  from TFS 2013 RTM to TFS 2013 update 4. Everything looks good but we are receiving the below error:
    Could not load file or assembly 'LibGit2Sharp, Version=0.13.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.
    Kindly share your thoughts/inputs to resolve the issue

    Hi John,
    Hope there is nothing wrong with the update.
    Yesterday, Our developers were troubleshooting the issue with the builds and found that
    Build Activities dll has the reference of LibGit2Sharp.dll
    version 01.12.0.3051.0.  After TFS upgrade, Build activities does not have a reference for the new version of
    LibGit2Sharp.dll [required] which has caused the issue in the build process.
    Error: Could not load file or assembly 'LibGit2Sharp, Version=0.13.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.
    Resolution: New version of LibGit2Sharp.dll
    was added and referenced to Microsoft.TeamFoundation.Build.Activities.dll
    which has resolved the issue with the builds.
    I think this should be referenced somewhere regarding TFS Update 4 so that everyone will be able to spot the issue and fix the issue without any issues.

    Thanks in advance.
    Thanks
    Madhavi Goud

    There are multiple reasons why this isnt working:
    CR9 was never designed to work with VS.NET 2008
    The craxddrt is not meant to work in .NET and there are quite a few issues with using it.
    You need special licensing to use the craxddrt.
    You need to move to CR 2008 along with VS.NET 2008 and you can export to text using the appropriate CR .NET code.
    Here is a code snippet showing this:
    ++++++++++++++++++++++
    ' First we must create a new instance of the diskfiledestinationoptions class and
    ' set variable called crExportOptions to the exportoptions class of the reportdocument.
    crDiskFileDestinationOptions = New DiskFileDestinationOptions()
    crExportOptions = crReportDocument.ExportOptions
    'Export to TXT.
    'append a filename to the export path and set this file as the filename property for
    'the DestinationOptions class
    crDiskFileDestinationOptions.DiskFileName = "c:\<yourdesinationpath>\TextFormat.txt"
    'set the required report ExportOptions properties
    With crReportDocument.ExportOptions
         .ExportDestinationType = ExportDestinationType.DiskFile
         .ExportFormatType = ExportFormatType.Text
         .DestinationOptions = crDiskFileDestinationOptions
    End With

    helpful to determine why the assembly 'DreamweaverCtrls,

    Are you testing on the server or locally. If the latter is
    true make sure
    that a copy of the controls is in a bin folder at the
    C:\inetpub\wwwroot
    level.
