Could not replicate HttpSession in OC4J

Hi.
I have 2 OC4J containers version 10.1.3 in standalone mode-No AplicationServer, just the containers- that i need to cluster to do httpsession replication with peer to peer.
I've put in the j2ee/home/config/application.xml file for
AppServer1:
<cluster>
<protocol>
<peer start-port="7900" range="3" timeout="6000">
<node host="ip_of_AppServer2" port="7900" />
</peer>
</protocol>
</cluster>
in AppServer2:
<cluster>
<protocol>
<peer start-port="7900" range="3" timeout="6000">
<node host="ip_of_AppServer1" port="7900" />
</peer>
</protocol>
</cluster>
The problem is that i cannot get the two containers to replicate the httpsession.
I start the server with
java -Dhttp.cluster.debug=true -Dhttp.session.debug=true -Dcluster.debug=true -jar oc4j.jar
I get the following eror:
06/11/02 17:53:29 [ERROR] ClientGmsImpl - -handleJoin() should not be invoked on an instance of org.jgroups.protocols.pbcast.ClientGmsImpl
06/11/02 17:53:29 [ERROR] GMS - -class org.jgroups.protocols.pbcast.ClientGmsImpl.handleJoin(192.168.16.90:7900) returned null: will not be able to multicast new view
while at first it says:
06/11/02 18:04:07 [INFO] ConnectionTable - -created socket to 192.168.16.56:7900 --the ip of the other server
06/11/02 18:04:07 [INFO] ConnectionTable - -input_cookie is bela
06/11/02 18:04:07 [INFO] ConnectionTable - -created socket to 127.0.0.1:7900
The 192.168.16.90 is the ip of the server that i'm on seeing this message. I guess it tries to put itself in the cluster.
The session however is not getting replicated.
Ok so i tried just to see if it works doing the httpsession replication in the database.
<cluster>
<database data-source="jdbc/DASGGERRE"/>
</cluster>
I gave the connection a dummy name that is for sure not in the datasources file. No errors are being reported it's as if this setting is altogether ignored.
Any help would be grately apreciated,
Serban Balamaci.

Hi Steve,
It must have been what you said. I had done a clean install and it worked with no problems. Well, actually I've got a really big problem. I have a simple session counter program. After a few clicks on the first server i get:

06/11/06 18:39:08 FINEST: SessionReplica$ApplyDelta.applyTo Replicated object no longer exists
The message that gives me trouble is " Replicated object no longer exists". I guess that means that this server can no longer find the session with that session id so it can apply the modifications. If my load balancer switches to that, the app no longer sees the session and it creates a new one.
Why is the session lost? As you can see, the time beetween operations by no means suggests that the session expired.
Do not be alarmed by the different time on the servers. I will remedy that, and i assure you that they were running at the same time. In the mean time, i will switch to the broadcast method to see how it behaves, although the loosing of the session seems to be connected to another reason.
Thanks for your answer.

  • Hyper-V could not replicate changes for virtual machine 'machinename': The connection with the server was terminated abnormally (0x00002EFE).

    I have a 3 node cluster that has replica setup to replicate to another cluster off-site.
    Suddenly one of the servers is not replicating with the error:
    Hyper-V could not replicate changes for virtual machine 'machinename': The connection with the server was terminated abnormally (0x00002EFE). (Virtual Machine ID CC0FD4CC-F9B7-4C68-ABE8-B7D52A87899F)
    All other servers are replicating fine so there cannot be a permissions or connectivity issue between the 2 clusters.
    This server has 2TB of data so I'd rather not have to start the replication again.
    Does anyone have any pointers?
    Thanks.

    Hi drensta,
    Based on my knowledge , "hyper-v replica broker " is needed for failover cluster replica .
    Here is a link for "Why is the "Hyper-V Replica Broker" required?"

  • Could not replicate the issue...

    So I sent in my iPhone 4 the other day, and today i've recieved an email saying sorry we could not replicate the issue.
    Now I sent my phone in because it had an intermittent fault/s, maybe apple dont understand what that means... or maybe they just dont want to.
    Anyway, i've had my rant, the phone was sometimes overheating, and i mean overheating, it was hot to touch, so god knows how hot the inner parts were, however what is worrying is i didnt even get the temperature warning. This happens every now and then, and must be causing internal damage, if not that, a fire risk.
    The battery has also diminished thouroughly. To the point where it doesnt even last half a day, when i used to get atleast i day out of it.
    Also the phone is failing to send/recieve texts to specific recipients, this may be a carrier issue, however if it is not, how can apple test the phones messaging capabilities to the people I have been messaging. So of course they wont replicate the issue.
    What should I do? My phone needs fixing, but Apple aren't helping.

    how do i talk to a senoir advisor, or do i need the sapple care programme so that i have telephone support?
    Absolutely not.
    Assuming it's under warranty.
    You just need to call the same number you called before to set up a repair.
    Speak politely with the agent and explain that you have tried a repair, the issue was deemed irreproducible and that you wish to contest this.
    Tell them that you feel very frustrated with this issue and you no longer wish to accept this level of performance from the device.
    If they don't offer to set up an exception so that the phone is replaced next time you send it in,
    Tell them that you would like to speak to their manager, they will put you onto a senior advisor, again be polite and tell them the same thing.
    That you're not happy and you want resolution to this issue as it's a very real problem for you.
    I've found the Apple tech support to be very easy to deal with on the whole so I'm sure they'll have no problem sorting you out, I guess they have that policy of sending back iPhones that they can't reproduce the issue with to worm out the kinda people who send it back over nothing.

  • Streaming error the operation could not be completed

    Dear All,
    Please Help me i Above Subject Iam using Airtel Digital Tv Application name is pocket tv firts time is install Application is working good after some days showing error streaming error the operation could not be completed please try again later please let me know what is issued and how can fix this problem.

    I've continued tests on different films, and tried my entire collection. I've found about two dozen that will play fine on the PC, but will not cooperate when streamed to either Apple TV or my iPad. I tried several more tests with the audio, and that turned out not to be a factor -- I could not replicate that on another test.
    I wonder if something in the header of these files is corrupted or a flag is set incorrectly or something along those lines, as the data appears to be fine -- it's just not "handshaking" with my streaming hardware and/or the Apple Home Sharing code that powers it.
    Is there any way for me to "scrub" these files and amend their headers, or get into the file and tinker with that info by hand?

  • Can not Replicate Hyper-V machines located on ISCI disk

    Hi ,
    i had 2 hyperV 2012R2 servers ,and attached iscsi disks to this servers (with multipath ,lacp)
    one of them is primary and the other is secondary server.
    i had installed 2 Virtual machines to our primary HyperV server as vm1 and vm2 .The vm1 is located on  local disk of the HyperV ,and the vm2 is located on the disk which is ISCSI connected to HyperV server.
    i can succesfully replicate the vm1 ,but could not replicate the vm2 (located on ISCI disk) to HyperV secondary server.
    And it gives me this error.
    Any help??

    Hi!
    According to the error message in your screenshot, the VM is in a state that prevents replication.
    I'm not entirely up to date on replication in 2012 R2, but in Hyper-V 2012, replication relied heavily on taking snapshots. Taking snapshots on disks other than vhd/vhdx is not supported.
    If you wan't to replicate a VM with iSCSI storage attached, you will need to disable the Backup (VSS) integration service. Given that the replication procedure remains the same in 2012 R2 as it did in 2012.
    Here is a similar case on Hyper-V 2012 :
    https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/5e7b283f-00c6-4089-8c16-5973dc233a09/windows-2012-hyperv-enable-replication-failed-due-to-iscsi-disks?forum=winserverhyperv
    Furthermore, checking permissions in the security tabs on all involved locations is also a good place to start.

    Regards,

    This is bit strange. It should work. I tested and works fine for me.
    Can you remove the entry from opmn.xml and make sure no typo in server.xml and try again. You might want to reload OPMN (opmnctl reload) and then try restarting OC4J (opmnctl startproc ias-component=OC4J).
    Note that value (-DcheckForUpdates) set in opmn.xml overrides the value set in server.xml:

  • Why could not Oracle replicates tables which includes Spatial Data to Logical Standby?

    Hi all,
    Nowadays, i am working on Oracle Logical Standby Databases which includes Spatial Data? But i could not achieve to transport a table with multimedia data (with spatial data types ). But Logical Standby Databases can not support this type of tables? Is this a restriction of modelling Spatial and Geometry in data blocks? And how do i achieve this because i should use this secondary for query-only?
    Kind Regards,

    Some data types are simply not supported by logical standby replication. Depending on the version, this might or might not include Spatial.
    11.2: https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11882_01/server.112/e41134/data_support.htm#SBYDB4936
    12.1: https://docs.oracle.com/database/121/SBYDB/data_support.htm#SBYDB4936
    If you need to replicate Spatial data, you need to look at other mechanisms. E.g., physical standby, materialized views, or GoldenGate.

    can anyone tell me what is the problem

    Hi
    Please refer doc and do the following steps.
    1. Take a copy of the $IAS_ORACLE_HOME/Apache/Apache/bin/iasobf file
    2. Change the ORACLE_HOME=to the correct IAS_ORACLE_HOME
    3. Re-run the SSO registration by following the three step process

  • Could not load app module after upgrade to R12.1.3

    Hello,
    We migrated from 11.5.10.2 to R12.1.3 and I have a small custom app on my hands which worked fine in 11i but I am getting
    "Could not load application module 'xx.oracle.apps.ak.xxgl.MapAM'" message.
    I checked that the MapAMImpl.class is there (classes are under $XBOL_TOP/java) and permissions are OK. The xml page loaded into the DB has a correct reference to the module as
    amDefName="xx.oracle.apps.ak.xxgl.MapAM"
    and I am running of other options I should check. Appreciate any feedback.
    Thank you
    Anatoliy

    Syed,
    Thank you for the reply.
    Were you following some documentation from Oracle related to R12? What was that?
    I guess you can place your class files anywhere but just update the CLASSPATH accordingly? Is it correct or wrong? Because I am hearing different opinions and some people talk about XBOL_TOP, some mention JAVA_TOP etc...
    And in your case all you did was place the class files where you said and appended the entry to the CLASSPATH, bounced apache, correct?
    Please let me know.
    Thank you
    Anatoliy

  • One or more of the updates requested by Final Cut Server could not be...

    We are getting the warning " One or more of the updates requested by Final Cut Server could not be applied. (one or more replacement file(s) had unexpected track settings.)" when a FCPv6.06 (possibly also FCPv7.0) project file is checked-out of Final Cut Server v1.5.1. The assets linked to the project are cached down successfully (this in not an XSAN environment) but opening the project alerts to some offline media files (not all) and we need to manually relink them to the assets in the Final Cut Server cache. All is good again until the project file is checked-out of FCSvr to another workstation.
    Having a look at the path of the offline files it is referencing the path of the assets as they were on the previous editor's (different) workstation. None of our workstations have the same path to the Final Cut Server cache.
    My understanding and experience is that FCSvr manages the paths for FCP linked assets and modifies the checked-out file's path to point to the workstation's FCSvr cache?
    Can you tell me how I can resolve this issue?

    I may have resolved this issue today or I'm at a stage where I can't replicate it. The problem may have been propagating from a within a template FCP project file we use to start our productions. I assume it was a corruption of the FCP file that FCSvr didn't recognise?

  • Could not verify signing in patched jar

    I have encountered a strange bug in JWS verification of the signing of a resource updated via a jardiff patch.
    We have a jar resource where the only change is the contents of a text file, and when the webstart client downloads the patch created by the jnlp-servlet, it reports:
    Could not verify signing in resource: (http://oas-psolis-test.health.wa.gov.au:9002/PSOLIS-SwingApp-TES/PSOLIS-GUI-graphics.jar, 1.2)
    The wrapped exception is:

    at com.sun.javaws.Launcher.handleLaunchFile(Unknown Source)
    at com.sun.javaws.Launcher.run(Unknown Source)
    at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:536)
    v1.2 is the new version of the jar in question (PSOLIS-GUI-graphics.jar). DESERT.properties is NOT the changed text file, but rather another text file which has not changed (ie: being used from the v1.1 previously downloaded).
    The patch jar contains an essentially empty index.jd file, with just the line:
    version 1.0
    As you can tell from the above, no resources have been renamed, just one text/properties file has different contents (so this is not immediately obviously <http://developer.java.sun.com/developer/bugParade/bugs/4474211.html> - but regarding 4474211, how does one enable the -nonminimal switch to jardiff from the JNLP servlet?).
    Nor is it obvious that this is an instance of bug 4739089 <http://developer.java.sun.com/developer/bugParade/bugs/4739089.html>
    As you would expect, the patch jar file also contains the modified text file, plus the manifest.mf and the signing data files.
    If I delete the webstart cache first the application downloads and runs fine (which proves there is nothing wrong with the signing in this jar). Another workaround is not to include the base/old version (v1.1) of the jar in the war.
    Both these workarounds are impractical - I can't get all the users to delete their webstart caches on each new version (of which we have many (both users and version releases)), and my build/deploy process automatically creates versioned jars (based on whether any source files have changed), I would need to modify my process to never provide diffs for this very large jar (and perhaps, any of my jars?), and hence lose jardiffing benefits altogether (I just spent a long time developing this build process to automate versioned jars for webstart!)
    These jar files are never altered once created, and the signing is the last stage of creating the jar files (though as I mentioned above, that the signatures are fine is demonstrated by both workarounds, it is only the patching which causes the issue).
    We have reproduced this problem using both JWS v1.4.1 clients and JWS v1.0.1 (from JRE v1.4.0) client - our users use the latter as they require support for Windows 95, sigh.
    While I have a copy of a v1.4.1 cache in a state from which I can reproduce the error, I haven't managed to get a case where I can clear the cache, deploy version A, download it, deploy version B and download it to reproduce the error. This means that I haven't got a process to setup a test of v1.4.2_02 of JWS.
    I am using the jnlp-servlet.jar from the "JNLP Developers Pack v1.2 FCS".
    Has anyone else encountered a similar problem, or know of a solution (which works with the 1.0.1 JWS client for long suffering 95 users)?
    An interesting side-note for OC4J standalone users - when oc4j expands the EAR (and its component WAR files) under the j2ee/home/applications directory, it does not clear out the old contents from any previous deployment of the same application (name) - I modified my deploy to not include previous jar versions, and yet the client was still patching - because the old jar file versions were left there by oc4j, joy!

    Even I am facing a similar kind of problem. When webstart is downloading JRE_1.4.2_02.jar, I am getting the following error the very time itself.
    java.lang.SecurityException: SHA1 digest error for jre.jar

    JRE_1.4.2_02.jar is a signed and verified jar that contains jre.jar. This is being downloaded on to the client for the first time. Webstart version used is 1.0.1. Can any tell me what may be the problem?

    Sorry I cannot help with this utility. What is your database version? In 10.1 and later, the recommended way is using JPublisher. Download JPublisher 10.2 and the webservice callout utility.
