    Hi,
Try with CAST() and CONVERT() functions. For more information refer use this url : http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms187928.aspx.
It is more easy to get solution if you can post your query.

  • Can I use Visual Basic to covert form user data from multiple .pdf files to a single .csv file?

Can I use Visual Basic to covert form user data from multiple .pdf files to a single .csv file?  If so, how?

You can automate Acrobat using IAC (InterApplication Communications), as documented in the Acrobat SDK. Your program could loop through a collection of PDFs, load them in Acrobat, extract the form data from each, and generate a CSV file that contains the data.
Acrobat can also do this with its "Merge Data Files into Spreadsheet" function, but this is a manual process.

    Play with
    select substr('[19/Nov/2007:18:39:53 +0100]',2,20) the_date
from dualand if you get 19/Nov/2007:18:39:53 proceed to
    select to_date('19/Nov/2007:18:39:53','DD/MON/YYYY:HH24:MI:SS')
      from dual
    select to_date('19/Nov/2007:18:39:53','DD/Mon/YYYY:HH24:MI:SS')
      from dual
    select to_date('19/Nov/2007 18:39:53','DD/MON/YYYY HH24:MI:SS')
      from dual
    select to_date('19/Nov/2007 18:39:53','DD/Mon/YYYY HH24:MI:SS')
from dualperhaps one of those will work (if it's the one without : then you must replace it with space using substr and || before using to_date)

  • How to Converting Char to Date?

    Hi
while i converting the char to date i am getting the below error, can some tell me how to resolve the issue.
Datetime value 01/01/2011 from 01/01/2011 does not match the specified format. (HY000)
SQL Issued: SELECT 0 s_0, CAST(CONCAT('01/01/',cast(year(current_date)as char)) as DATE) s_1 FROM ''example reports"

Can you check whats your default date format. Just run the report with Current_date and look at whats the format. Ensure you dont override the default date format by going into column properties.
Try applying the same format when you use the cast as date function.
Also, you can refer to this link. http://gerardnico.com/wiki/dat/obiee/cast_as_date_

  • Can we move char type data to packed decimal

    Hi
can we move char type data to packed decimal??
    Thanks
    Devi

    Hi..
that depends on the data in the character variable..
if that character variable contains onli numbers then it is possible.
    <b>data c type c value '1'.
    data p type p.
    p = c.
    write p.</b>
    here the output is  1.
If it contains even a single Alphabet , then it goes for a dump.
    <b>data c type c value 'A'.
    data p type p.
    p = c.
    write p.</b>
here u will get a short dump.
    hope u understood.

  • Char to Date conversion problem - again!

    Hi,
in order to make date selection 'more attractive' for end users I have been tasked with presenting a text field with 'January 2010', 'February 2010' etc to the end users for their prompts.
    So far so easy...
However, I then need to use the values to derive either dates, or years, or date numbers.
This all works fine during development when I am testing using a default parameter thus; -
'@{MYMONTHYEAR}{September 2010}' - which is fed into various very complex functions.
BUT - when I try to use the report in conjunction with the parameter I get; -
'The evaluation of the index 6 expression on row count -1 failed. [nQSError: 46046] Datetime value 2010/09/01 does not match the specifiied format'
However, cast('2010/09/01' as date) works fine... and convoluted as the logic of my functions is, the fundamental char to date conversion is exactly in this format.
Anyone shed any light on this, give me a guaranteed way to handle char to date conversion?
    thanks,
    Robert.

    Hi,
We have a DSO with a info object in the Data fields. The char info object has the data type DATE and most often it has the null value. but some times  it has data in it.
When ever we were trying to run a report on the DSO it throws a error  as  ORA- 01722 INVALID NUMBER.
we tried editing PSA data and placing 00000000 for null values - and had a message  invalid date.
    suggestions pls
    Regards.

    Hello,
Please check the note given below
    https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1327167.
If null value is the problem,  change the query setting for not to show the null values. Just add a filter in ZDAT to exclude "NULL"

  • Converting the char into date format?

    Hi!!! Guru's

    wil assign pts for sure
    thanks in adv
    mohan

    Hello,
I think u can achieve this at query level.
You can try variable with replacement path . In your scenario you will have to have 2 variables one for ex. 0SHIPDATE and another one for ex. 0GIDATE .
After that create formula ( Number of days ) of subtraction on this two variables .
Gimme ur mail-id , i will forward a doc on this if u want...

  • Re:checking masterdata char in data dictionary

    Morning gurus
if we want to check  the contents of a particular table we  will enter the table name in se16 to view the contents
and if the data target  is a masterdata char then we cannot enter the name of that particular field directly we should use some naming scenario if front of the field name can u guys tell me what is that scenario for exmaple if the char name is zcs_ab  we should use something like /bic/----
    something?

    Dear Vara,
That is a Data element gives you technical information about that object like DATA TYPE, LENGTH, DOMAIN, LABEL, DECIMAL PLACES etc...

  • I want to add 15000 chars long data in oracle database. how to do that?

My requirement is to add the contents of the file into Oracle database. The files are about 15kb long and I am using the LONGVARCHAR datatype. I am getting error in inserting the contents of the file. The file length is about 15000 chars. Any ideas how do I do that?

Why do you want to? Sounds like a bad idea.
Why not store a reference to the file and keep the file itself on a disk outside the database?
Can't do very meaningful searches on a 15,000 char data value. How would you write a WHERE clause for that?
    Don't do it.

  • Quantity field fro char or date data type

    Hi,
I am using DELVRY03 idoc type and some of the quantity fields are empty not being used, is it a good idea if I can use these quantity fields for Char type or datetype data.
    Regards
    Rinku

    Hi Rinku..
Your question is not that clear.
Let me give you some ideas.
    1. All Segment fields are store in CHAR Format in Database in EDID4-SDATA field
    2. If you want to add new fields it is better to Create a New Segment in WE31 And Create an Extended IDoc type in WE30.
    3. It is not advisable to use the existing fields for storing some other data.
