CR 2008 dependence files cannot be found during the web setup project build

Hi,
Please anyone who knows why dependence files cannot be found?
CR 2008 dependence files cannot be found during the web setup project build. Nevertheless, this problem did not prevent the project from being installed on the server but I need to know why it couldn't be found? while I'm having the latest service packs installed on my development machine (SP0, SP1, SP-Fix 1, 2, 3 and 4 including ClickOnce and Merge Modules).
The warning messages that I'm getting during the web setup project build.

Hi,
CR 2008 for VS has a merge module that will be copied to the C:\Program Files\Common Files\Merge Modules for example (CRRuntime_12_1.msm, CRRuntime_12_1_da.msm, CRRuntime_12_1_de.msm, u2026).
According to CR documentation in order to deploy a project which uses a crystal reports we have to including one or more of these files in the setup project (Merge Modules).
As I understand these files can help the setup project to know which dependence files are needed for the application to be deployed successfully with CR.
You mentioned
(The merge modules for Crystal Reports 2008 SP1 are dependent on the C++ library files from 2005 SP1.) I understood the above message.
But what did you mean by this? What are the merge modules that you are mentioning hear?
(I know this isn't what you want to hear but the merge modules just aren't available any other way. Microsoft doesn't have them available for download, and we are not permitted to make them available.)
Thanks.

  • I deleted iTunes when it said "iTunes could not back up iPhone because the backup could not be saved on the computer"and now it wont let me install it again and keeps saying "itunes cannot be installed because the file cannot be found in the cabinet "

iTunes told me to delete my backup folder when I was having problems syncing my phone to my computer. After that it wouldn't work at all. After trying and trying I deleted iTunes when it said "iTunes could not back up iPhone because the backup could not be saved on the computer"and now it wont let me install it again and keeps saying "itunes cannot be installed because the file cannot be found in the cabinet ". What the **** itunes? Nothing is working!!
I wanted to update my iTunes so I could sync my phone to my computer and update my phones software so I can use the latest apps that need a 4.2 or higher.
This is not fun for me so if anyone knows what I can do to fix this please help. Is it possible to download the "cabinent file" with the lastest iTunes?
    Thank you.

My phone is the iPhone4 and my computer is a Windows Vista

I doubt that corrupt files are the problem. It is more likely a space or permissions issue. Is the hard-drive on which iTunes is stored close to capacity? Do you (or the particular user profile you have logged on with) have the requisite permissions to save to that drive?
Otherwise, do you get an error code? This might point us in the right direction.

  • "The file 'Acknowledgements.rtf' cannot be installed because the file cannot be found in the cabinet file 'iTunes.cab'.  Is there something wrong with the latest installer? (11.3.1)

Getting error message as shown: "The file 'Acknowledgements.rtf' cannot be installed because the file cannot be found in the cabinet file 'iTunes.cab'.  Is there something wrong with the latest installer? (11.3.1)

Installs fine for me, so I'd guess you got an incomplete or corrupt download. See the Further Information area of Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates for direct links and download a fresh copy of the installer.

    Hi All

    c:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 9.0\Reader>acrord32.exe "c:\www\website\admin\invoices_out\BFPO_0001.pdf" "hp deskjet 990c"

There was an error opening this document. This file cannot be found
Any help to stop the above error appearing would be much appreciated as once this is fixed I will be using
    start /b c:\www\acrobat_wrapper\acrowrap.exe /t "c:\www\website\admin\invoices_out\BFPO_0001.pdf" "hp deskjet 990c"
and I can then get on with my work.

    Hi Fiat Lux
Thanks anyway but I have solved it.It wasn't any fault of Acrobar Reader as such. Everytime I run a microsoft remote desktop and access my main PC from my laptop it deletes the default printer status of my printer (on the main PC) and then when I want to run the above command Reader can't find a printer to use until I reinstate it as the default printer.
    Thanks anyway.

  • There was an error opening this document. This file cannot be found

An automation script on one of our QA environments kept tripping on the error: "There was an error opening this document. This file cannot be found".  The same script ran fine against our Production servers (hint, which were "whitelisted").
It took a little time to resolve/trace what was happening (but with the aid of ProcessMonitor and tracing all "pdf"-related file activity...)
The problem lies squarely between McAfee (75%), Adobe (20%) and Microsoft (5%):
NORMAL WORKFLOW.  IE (Internet Explorer) when popping a PDF document, has to (1) write the document to the IE cache, then (2) launching and "handing off" the document reference to the Adobe viewer (which might then be able to open the document, et al) -- assuming largely a "synchronous" workflow.
BUT "WAIT", HOLD THE HORSES -- McAfee takes ownership and decides infact "wait for us" (during the workflow), it wants to first perform a virus scan on the document (ahead of writing the document to cache) involving potentially large latency (delay) before making the document available to the system. However, instead of "fessing up"-that their scan may be taking too long, McAfee appears to have taken their work "off-line" in violation of the sychronous interface above. I'm guessing the developers at McAfee might have been trying to hide any extra processing overhead being incurred by assuming they could somehow convert this to an "asychronous" event.  (This may also have more reach than just PDF's.)
Unfortunately, the browser's "PDF OPEN"-dialog box pops allowing Adobe to launch-and-open the "as-yet-not-virus-scanned-and-thus-not-yet-cached"-document. Thus clicking the OPEN-button will cause the related "...FILE NOT FOUND"-error to be seen (because the file is still in McAfee "limbo").
Note: If you close the ADOBE reader (but don't yet close the popup-OPEN-dialog) you can click OPEN a second time and it will probably now open the document - which McAfee finally finished scanning!
You can observe all these interactions with ProcessMonitor, and use the monitored file states to adjust the timings of events to reproduce both the failure and non-failure scenarios.
    - Best Regards, Ziggy
ps. My assessed distribution of "ownership" of the problem is because ALL these parties should be aggressively resolving this for the customer-base!

  • IPhone 4 cannot sync because "file cannot be found"?

I recently updated the software on my iPhone 4 from version 4.0.1 to 4.0.2. While the phone was performing a sync prior to the update from versions the computer or phone froze. I restarted both the phone and computer. I then tried to update the phone versions and have been unable to get the phone to sync. It seems that the phone has been updated to version 4.0.2, but it will not sync at all. I keep getting the following message:
The iPhone "phone name" cannot be synced. The required file cannot be found.
The biggest issue I see is that the photos on my phone are not synced properly. Some albums are missing and so are some photos. Not only that but I notice that this message occurs during the last step of the sync process (step 5).
Please help! How do I fix this?

Try deleting the ipod photo cache, as described here:

The error is ecnountered when the link of the document is accessed.

Would you know what could have caused the error? can you suggest any things to get rid of the erro?

  • The required file cannot be found

I technically try to stay up to date with computer developments, but this iPod issue has me stumped. Apparently, the iPod works ideally with other computers (such as a relative's laptop) but the home computer experiences some problems. According to the messages, the iPod can only sync with one library? I can accept that. But here's the situation:
When I plug the iPod into the home computer, the device requires synchronization. Once I affirm that synchronization is fine, I get two different error messages....without number references. The first message plainly states "The iPod cannot be synced. The required file cannot be found." The second message follows immediately after and says "The iPod cannot be synced. The disk could not be read from or written two." I know it's not the OS because the laptop has the same one.
    Any advice would be appreciated.
...First let me offer some advice. I think the entire discussion forum idea inhales excessively. Apple needs to set up an email based customer support for questions like this because we all know the experts have a great time watching the discussion boards and laughing their heads off while the customers try to figure out the problems for themselves. However, if such a medium exists then I apologize for the smoke out of my ***, but then again they make the support difficult to navigate.

They may have the same OS, but they are apparently not in the same shape. If the iPod works on someone elses computer but not yours, the problem lies in your computer.
I'm assuming you do have a 2nd Generation Nano, but what type of computer do you have? Which USB port are you using? Have you tried reloading/updating your USB drivers? Have you tried reloading your operating system? What other USB devices are connected? Do you have other software (antivirus, antispyware, etc.) running in the background? What version of iTunes and Quicktime are you using?
You can send your suggestions regarding support to Apple through feedback. They don't monitor this site and I seriously doubt they are laughing their heads off. The topic of email support has been discussed elsewhere in the discussions, you can search for the thread if you like. They have experimented with chat help service for the Shuffle. Personally I've never had good luck with email support, there is too much delay and poor communication. I would also assume if it were available it would either be for a limited time or through Applecare. Otherwise there would be a charge.
You could always call for support, but you would be surprised how often people solve their problems here at no cost.

  • "This file cannot be found" error.

    Folks:
I have a user who all of a sudden yesterday started getting an error message every time he tried to open any PDF:  "There was an error opening this document.  This file cannot be found."
The file CAN be opened using Windows 8's PDF viewer.  It CAN be opened if he opens it from within Acrobat (i.e., File | Open).  But when he double-sclick the icon in File Explorer, he gets that error message.
I tried Repairing the installation, but no success.
    Any thoughts?
    Thanks.
    Micah

    Yes, Mohit1233 - it happened with every file yesterday. Finally, I closed the doc (forcing me to lose my work), then restarted my computer and today the problem is gone. I'm working on a PC (HP);
Barblove - I tried doing that yesterday (copying and pasting into a new doc), and still nothing. I also tried copying the work into a CS3 doc (but got an error message).

  • VM Unknown (Inaccessible) - Configuration file cannot be found

I am running a single VM on a small HP Proliant server with ESXi 5.0 which boots off a thumb drive
The box has two drives mirrored with a raid card
The machine was powered down safely
    The drives were removed
The machine was accidentally powered on without the drives (yes he is in the corner)
When I put the drives back in and powered up the box vSphere showed the VM as "Unknown (inaccessible)" with the EVENTS description "Configuration file cannot be found". The details shows "Configuration file for Unknown on localhost.localdomain in ha-datacenter cannot be found"
I powered the machine down and went into the raid card bios configuration where i observed a mirror sync in progress. This continued for a little over 4 hours and finally it reported the drives as "optimal".
I rebooted the box but vSphere still shows the VM as Unknown (inaccessible).
I thought I was being clever installing our small dental practice server onto a VM but suddenly realise I am way out of my depth here. Is there any hope to get the VM going and can anyone point me in the right direction?
    Many thanks

    Hi,
Unfortunately I am experiencing the same issue with the difference that I have restored iSCSI access to the LUN and I can browse my datastore and see the files within. but esx 5.5 host still displays all the VMs in that datastore as "inaccessible". I have tried a bunch of possibilities without any positive result, including:
    1. removing the VMs from inventory and adding them again
    2. delete files in /var/lib/vmware/hostd/stats
    3. Rename vmInventory.xml and adding the VMs again
The one thing that I have noticed which makes me more fightened is that I cannot download or copy the existing VM files within my datastore but I am able to create new ones!
Any suggestions that may save me?

  • WUT-123: The webutil.jar file cannot be found...

    Hello,
I am having a problem using webutil to upload to a 9iAS using a mapped network drive. Here's the set up:
    MachineA
    9iAS
    Windows2000
I simply mapped the drive (X:) to a folder on MachineA's
local drive (d:\folder). I can upload files fine to the directory on the local drive (d:\folder). But if I try to upload to the mapped x:\, I get the error (from the webutil.log):
"WUT-123: The webutil.jar file cannot be found on the Appliciation Server Classpath - Some file transfer functions will not work. x:\attach\VISIBLE-149.TXT java.io.FileNotFoundException: x:\attach\VISIBLE-149.TXT (The system cannot find the path specified)"
I have no problems with uploading files if I upload to MachineA's local drive (d:\folder).
When I was initially testing this out on 9iDS, this was working. Here's the set up:
    MachineB
    9iDS
    WindowsNT
The 9iDS was on a different machine running WindowsNT and I had mapped X: to the same folder on MachineA. I could upload to the mapped drive without any problems.
In both cases, I used the same client machine to test out uploading files.
    Any suggestions?
    Sandy

I think that the opmn process starts with the credentials of the user who installed it (Local System) and not the credentials of the current user which launches it.
I remember that when I tried to switch the user of the opmn service(from local system to a network user which is also a local admin) in the Windows services control panel, the OHS hasn't started at all.
If you try to launch it from a DOS cmd window, then, you may try to map the hard drive in the dos command prompt, the service should know the drive name from this local context.
If it works, can you ,please, post here,so we can all know the way?
    Thanks,
    Sandu

During itunes sync i get an error message "iphone cannot be synced. the required file cannot be found." Why is this happening?

Close "iPhoto" if it is open. Open the "Pictures" folder and right-click on "iPhoto Library." Select "Show Package Contents." Right-click the "iPod Photo Cache" folder, select "Move to Trash" and sync your iPhone. The error message should no longer appear.
    if that doesn't work,
uninstall itunes and download the lastest version

  • Package load Failed! Invalid package Title, manifest file cannot be found

Greetings. I am new to UPK and am seeking guidance on an upgrade to 11.1.
A little background on what we are trying to do:
    We have two machines:
    Windows 2003 machine in domain 'X' | UPK 11.0.0.1.
Windows 2008 R2 virtual machine in domain 'Y' | UPK 11.0 on the new machine first, install the 11.0.0.1 patch, and then upgrade to 11.1.
We are using the same database as the old machine. Developer Server is Standard Authentication, Knowledge Center is Windows authentication.
    ==========================================================================================
So far we have installed 11.1 with the respective database upgrades, but are lost as to how to migrate the old Content Root data. We have copied all the content to the new Content Root, added it to IIS like the old machine, and verified that the UPK database Content Root path is correct and working.
For the rest of the post, I am remoted into the server from my local workstation, and then using IE to access KCenter on the server's FQDN, not via localhost.
Since I am green, so I presumed that I would need to import the titles under Manager in KCenter. I zipped each content folder individually (they are named "1", "9", etc), and then attempted to import each zip file.
NOTE: At this stage sometimes we are prompted to authenticate again. When it does, sometimes the credentials that we know work, get rejected and we are prompted again. This will repeat until we get a 401 and we have to start over. We have verified that the Windows account currently in session with the site is valid and has administrator authority within KC.
NOTE2: On the first few tries, .NET complained that maxRequestLength was not large enough. I had our servers team increase it on the actual server in order for us to proceed.
Provided we don't have to authenticate again, or that it actually accepts our credentials, we get to the 30% mark and then receive the error: *"Package load Failed! Invalid package Title, manifest file cannot be found"*
Does anyone have any wisdom for this process? The title importation section in the deployment manual is not helping, and the administrator from whom I am taking over this software has not had to deal with this before.
    Thank you,
    Ian

Hi Marc, thanks for the post,
I have gone through an extensive troubleshooting process with Oracle, including their development team, in order to fully complete our project setup. As a supplemental bit of information, we also were having connection errors when attempting to publish directly to the knowledge center.
As far as the context of this post, here is the solution in brief:
    1) Verify that the package being imported was published from the same version of the Developer Client as the Knowledge Center installation's.
    2) Check for database consistency issues. In our case we were using a database that was built in another domain. After numerous attempts with Oracle support on the line to determine the inconsistency, it was decided to completely reinstall and build a new database from scratch in the new domain.
    3) Check application pool identities and access (while we had some inconsistencies here, correcting them did not change the behavior of the import/publish errors)
In review, a lot of what we had setup was correct. Our primary point of failure, we feel, was using the old database. Technically this should not have been a problem, but Murphy likes to get his way sometimes.
    Cheers,
    Ian

  • I went to sync my iPhone 4 as usual and when it got to the end stage of the sync where it sync the photos from iPhoto, I get a message pop up that says, "The iPhone cannot be synced. The required file cannot be found." What do I do?

I went to sync my iPhone 4 as usual with my iTunes account on my MacBook Pro and when it got to the end stage of the sync where it syncs with iPhoto, I get a pop up message that says, "The iPhone cannot be synced. The required file cannot be found." What do I do?

Hi. I am having the same problem.
I have updated iPhone software and carrier settings, OSX Lion on the comp and in step 4 of 4 during photo sync about half way through, the error message comes up and now my pics are gone from the phone. I did empty the cache and the problem still persisted. I changed cables, I restored the phone and synced from the back up and even restored and created a new phone identity, still no love.
    I am puzzeled, any suggestions?

  • IPod Classic will not restore because firmware file cannot be found

It was suggested by an Apple store agent that I should restore my ipod to stop a an issue with tracks skipping that I suspect are related to bad sectors on the disk as all the songs play ok on my macbook.
However, when I try to restore I get an error reporting that the ipod firmware file cannot be found.
I have been unable to find any solution on the forums as to how I might resolve this issue.
Please advise how I might replace the firmware file and restore the ipod (the agent confirmed that bad sectors will be corrected during the restore process).
    Thanks...Ian

1.Open the disk utility, hope your iPod appears there (left hand side), highlight it
2.Go to Tab “Partition”, click either “Delete” or “Partition”, if fails, skip this step and go to 3
3.Go to Tab “Erase” , choose Volume Format as “MAC OS Extended (Journaled), and click Erase, again if fails, skip it and go to 4
4.Same as step 3, but open the “Security Options....” and choose “Zero Out Data” before click Erase. It will take 1 to 2 hours to complete.
    BE AWARE:
A low level format will cause the hard disk to scan the entire surface of the hard drive. The iPod will get really hot when doing this.
    kind regards
    Joe.
