CR XI period in database name

Question

SQL Server 2005 database has a period in its name. For example, data.12. I call a crystal report from VS2008. I use ConnectionInfo object to pass connection info to a report. I get errors in formulas. Renaming DB resolves the issue.
How can I get it to work with names like data.12?

Hello,
I tested this here but I did get an error if I used the Microsoft OLE DB Provider. I had to use the Native driver when connecting to the server. Also, I tested this in CR 2008, XI R2 is paste it's fix life cycle so it doesn't work then we can't get it fixed.
I created your table name and then imported the xtreme.mdb access table into it.
