Metropolis software was shut down in 2009 and there is no further support or development for the products. Since their shutdown is prior to win 8 it cannot be compatible. Read about it here http://www.giantbomb.com/metropolis-software-house/3010-107/
The only thing I can suggest for you is to try re-installing the game in compatibility mode.
To install in compatibility mode do the following:
Right click the installer>properties>compatibility>choose OS
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Make-older-programs-run-in-this-version-of-Windows?SignedIn=1
(works in vista, win 7, win 8, and win 10)

Crash dump analysis: arguments on the kernel stack
Im working with SunOS 5.8 on SPARC sun4u.
System hangs up periodically (due to some error in our proprietary FS ).
So Im trying to figure out what really happens - syncing system and then inspect crash dump using adb(mdb).
Having printed all the kernel threads I found few of them that are matter of interest for me, but all the tracebacks show me garbage instead of calling arguments.
Below is one such thread:
0x300025912e8: lwp procp wchan

I inspected this threads stack using various macroses provided by adb :
i.e. Stackregs, stacktrace but seems that only pc and fp registers have been saved for each frame in stack. Anyway looks like incoming parameters have not been put into frames. Its probably ok, cause as I for as I know Solaris puts registers onto stack in case of register window underflow and overflow traps.
Question: how to extract incoming params for functions that comprise threads stackFirst of all, since you are already in Sol 8, just
switch to mdb from adb - the former one provides much
more macroes and built-in commands for crash dumpanalysis.
- thats off topic, sorry. This is just a matter of preferences (constantly jumping from 5.8 to 5.7, most macroses that are in use written by me )
Also, the parameters to page_lock look pretty sane.May be I don"t understand something. Anyway :
Here is a line from stack
page_lock+0x118(1041c560, 1041be70, 0, 0, 31001001200, 1)
This is a prototype:
int page_lock(page_t *pp, se_t se, kmutex_t *lock, reclaim_t reclaim)
Usually %o0(%i0) is used for the first argument , so 0x1041c560 should point to a valid page_t structure (if we are not about to panic), but points somewhere else:
1041c560$<pagepse_mutex+0x240:vnode hash vpnext
0 0 0
pse_mutex+0x258:vpprev next prev
0 0 0
pse_mutex+0x270:offset selock lckcnt
0 0 0
pse_mutex+0x27e:cowcnt cv io_cv
0 0 0
pse_mutex+0x284:iolock_state fsdata state
0 0 0
Anyway, the stack trace entry in question is:
ufs_readdir+0x160(1fff, 30002f13670, 418, 0, 2a10056bac0, 200)
while prototype is
static int ufs_readdir(struct vnode *, struct uio *, struct cred *, int *);
Looks like poiner to vnode_t is 0x1fff
Here seems to be 2 possibilities:
1)We are really passing some garbage as parameters
or
2)Register windows were not flushed onto stack
Actually this thread was not active when I did sync to machine.
Is it true that when kernel is rescheduling thread it drops registers onto stack ?
What docs should I refer to? (except Panic! by Chris Drake )
ask Tiffi where the
hell they are).
Sorry man, it's probably one of my old ones...
Lets leave Tiffi alone ... and you know that she"s not an author of what I"m currently fixing :)
.... Even more, you know exectly who was it :)
Thank you for answering.

Generated analysis authorization cannot be changed
Hello all,
did someone manage to edit/delete generated (from DSO) analysis authorizations? When I want to correct a typo in one of the generated analysis authorizations it is not possible although the system is telling that it should be possible to do so. I did not find any note or thread yet.
Message number RSEC292:

A generated authorization can be changed (this message is only a warning ), but one should be sure that this authorization is not generated again. Then it will be removed from the user, created again (perhaps with different content), and if there no fixed name was generated, it is renamed.
Thanks in advance for your inputsHello Lana,
this is how SAP solved the problem

Hello Ms. ,
I always was telling about one issue:
Change of generated analysis authorization is not possible.
Since BI 7.0 we are talking about analysis authorizations so the
transaction code used is obvious.
There is no need for furhter information because it is only this single
issue: I guess that it should be an error message and not a warning
message and SAP made a mistake here by using the wron message category.
I was never talking about users and xxxxxx is not an user but an
analysis authorization.
Please consider the call a solved - in the meantime I got
professional support from the SDN platform.

05.07.2007 - 09:14:22 CET SAP Antwort
Hello Ms King,
I must say that I find this message quite incomprehensible. First you
write that you are irritated because my colleague asked you which
transaction is being used to generate authorizations. This information
is necessary so that the message can be assigned to the appropriate
area. Indeed, the message was incorrectly sent to BC-SEC. Next you
write that you are angry when I give you a consulting note regarding
generation of analysis authorizations. I am mystified as to how such
information from customers should help us in solving a technical or
procedural probem. I have read the message from the beginning and
there is very little technical and procedural information. Moreover, itis not clear what the "error" is here. The message RSEC292 is a warning(as clearly stated in the long text of the message) and this should not
hinder the process. Lastly, in your last info you refer to a specific
user, xxxxxxxx, as an example of a generated authorization. This is
separate issue than the original:
It is not possible to change from DSOs generated analysis
authorizations although the system is telling that it should be
possible to do so. Authorizations are sufficient (SU53; SAP_ALL)
So in response to the original inquiry regarding RSEC292. The answer,
as I have already mentioned and as stated in the text, is that this
is just for information purposes. Please continue with the process.
If you have a separate inquiry regarding the authorizations of
particular users, please open a second message. We request that
customer log one issue per message. Please read note 375196:

Your question is a little bit irritating. Generation of analysis

Crash Dump from locked/hung LDOM
Is there any way to force a crash dump in an LDOM which has hung completely, a bit like STOP-A SYNC on a standard system. A developer has an application which is causing this behaviour and he wants to get a dump for analysis without disrupting other LDOMs if possible.

Who Or Where Do I Send Firefox Crash Dumps To ?
I had several tabs open and Firefox has crashed several times and it also crashed when trying to restore those tabs after each crash, it may be a problem with the Maximum AdBlock Free plug-in that I recently installed, but I am not sure and I could be wrong.
When I used: about:crashes, it says that no crash reports have been submitted.
When I try to Report A Broken Website from the Firefox Help, the submission process never finishes, so I can not report the problem there.
I do have some crash dumps from Windows 7 in reference to the crashes, but I need to know who to send them to and how?
Thank you,

SAP GRC RAR 5.3 SP9 "Cannot execute BAPI UserList"
Hi everyone,
After upgrading to 5.3 SP9, my client started experiencing some problems with RAR. I doubt it's linked to the upgrade, since I did all the testing and results were as expected. The problem is as follows:
Using RAR, for only one specific system (SAP ECC6 box), when running foreground AND background analysis for USERS, all analysis fails with the following error log (see below message). All ROLE analysis work as expected (SOD and critical actions/autorisations).
In the configuration tab, the connexion test is successful. I did some testing with a BASIS from the client and we identified that when running a successful analysis, we could log a RFC connection to the backend system (dont recall the transaction used though). When the analysis failed, no connexion was logged.
The client's GRC admin opened a ticket with SAP, but I was wondering if the collective knowledge of SDN could maybe help us identify the cause of our problems.
Any solution path is welcome
Kind regards
Jerome Fortin

I was wondering if anyone has seen this error before and if someone can help me trace the source of the error. A message was already open with SAP before christmas and no solution was identified at the moment.

I have a PowerPC G5 quad core Mac with a pre-intel chip. I have been running Firefox successfully for over five years and have used every version in operation during that time. Tonight, I received notice that the latest version of 3.6 was ready to install and that I needed to restart. I did that and was taken to a page telling me that 4.0 was available for downloading and use. So I downloaded the new 4.0 and tried to install it in the typical Mac fashion. After clicking on the dmg, I dragged the icon into my applications folder and onto the dock. But when I click on the icon on the dock, I get the message: The application cannot be launched. 10661
When I try to launch by double clicking in the applications folder, I get the message: You cannot open the application Firefox because it is not supported on this system.
I had to go to your site using Safari of all things! I tried re-installing it with another download, and that one misbehaves in the same way. By the way, in case it matters, I still have 42 GB available on my hard drive and 5 GB of RAM.
There is one other funny thing. The Firefox icon from the disk image has a white circle with the slash through it on top of the fox and world symbol. That is what appears in my applications folder and in my dock. It appears to be saying NOT FIREFOX, as it would indicate in a NO U-TURN sign. What is this all about?I have had a similar problem with my system. I just recently (within a week of this post) built a brand new desktop. I installed Windows 7 64-bit Home and had a clean install, no problems. Using IE downloaded an anti-virus program, and then, because it was the latest version, downloaded and installed Firefox 4.0. As I began to search the internet for other programs to install after about maybe 10-15 minutes my computer crashes. Blank screen (yet monitor was still receiving a signal from computer) and completely frozen (couldn't even change the caps and num lock on keyboard). I thought I perhaps forgot to reboot after an update so I did a manual reboot and it started up fine.
When ever I got on the internet (still using firefox) it would crash after anywhere between 5-15 minutes. Since I've had good experience with FF in the past I thought it must be either the drivers or a hardware problem. So in-between crashes I updated all the drivers. Still had the same problem. Took the computer to a friend who knows more about computers than I do, made sure all the drivers were updated, same problem. We thought that it might be a hardware problem (bad video card, chipset, overheating issues, etc.), but after my friend played around with my computer for a day he found that when he didn't start FF at all it worked fine, even after watching a movie, or going through a playlist on Youtube.
At the time of this posting I'm going to try to uninstall FF 4.0 and download and install FF 3.6.16 which is currently on my laptop and works like a dream. Hopefully that will do the trick, because I love using FF and would hate to have to switch to another browser. Hopefully Mozilla will work out the kinks with FF 4 so I can continue to use it.
I apologize for the lengthy post. Any feedback would be appreciated, but is not necessary. I will try and post back after I try FF 3.16.6. -
Firefox crashes - No crash dump file - No longer works
For some reason, I've had a few problems with Firefox recently. The latest is that each time I try to load it, it crashes straight away, occasionally letting me send an error report, others not. It always comes up with an error that states: Firefox had a problem and crashed. We'll try to restore your tabs and windows when it restarts. Unfortunately the crash reporter is unable to submit a crash report. Details: The application did not leave a crash dump file.
I've tried restarting my computer in safe mode to see if it works then, but it is coming up with the same error. I've also uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox, yet nothing has helped at all. I've also got problems opening Chrome and Safari, and now Explorer seems to be the only browser that works on my computer. I've downloaded malwarebytes by recommendation from a family member, yet that isn't finding any viruses/malware on my computer. As that's what I initially thought it could be. As I'm unable to open Firefox at all, I'm unable to obtain any previous crash ID's. I do have the details that come up in the 'Details' box when Firefox says that it has crashed, but unsure whether that would help establish any sort of information to help with the issue. I'm not that technically minded, so if someone could help me out with it, I'd really appreciate it.
I'm stuck using Opera, and it was alright for a while, but now I'm getting annoyed that Firefox isn't working at all. It won't even open.
I really would appreciate the help!Do you have Roboform installed?
Do you have a SSO (single sign on) extension installed? -

503 Service Unavailable : Application cannot be started.
I'm trying to deploy an application. The application, a JSP web module, consumes a web service. I have tried doing this on local dev, it works perfectly but when I transfer it to our dev track an error occurs. When I try to access it, it gives this error
Application cannot be started.
Details: com.sap.engine.services.deploy.container.ExceptionInfo: Application webserviceear cannot be started. Reason: it has hard reference to resource webserviceproxy with type application, which is not active on the server.
I have tried to deploy the dc for webserviceproxy then deployed the ear again but I still get the same error. I know that my web service is running because I can see and test it on wsnavigator. When I change my reference type to weak, I get compiling error instead. I don't have an access to our Visual Admin so I can't be sure what's the cause of the error.
What could be the solution to my problem? ThanksStill having the same problem. Here's the log error for the EAR. Hope someone can help me.
