commadmin domain create –D admin –d hcu.math.in.domain –n domain –w adminpass –S mail, cal,im –H mailhostI'm glad you understood the question. The alternate interpretation is they wanted additional email addresses for the same user which they would do via the DA GUI.
NB: the above commands will only work with Delegated Administrator 7.0 which introduced the "im" service. For DA6.4 you would use "-S mail, cal".

  • Changing Oracle XE SMTP server.

I am running Oracle XE on Vista Home Basic and as you may expect this version of Vista doesn't run SMTP or WWW server. Anyways, I wanted to use a remote SMTP sever, say smtp.mydomain.com. I found where to change the default SMTP server from "localhost" to "smtp.mydomain.com" - it is on
    Home>Application Builder>Application Administration>Email Configuration>Email Environment Settings
the problem is that my SMTP server requires autentication and I see no place where to enter the user name and password. Can somebody help me with this?
    George

You can achieve your objectives by using the UTL_SMTP package.

    >
Is not there any mail server that will allow us to

As I said mail servers do have management interfaces. You need to find one and then determine what the management interface is.

    -Dweblogic.Name=portalServer -Djava.security.policy=D:\bea\WEBLOG~1\server\lib\weblogic.policy - weblogic.Server
might be why you get the message:

Do you really have a SMTP server installed on your local machine?
If it does, you should set "mail.smtp.host" as "localhost".
    props.put("mail.smtp.host", "localhost");
    javax.mail.Session mail_session = javax.mail.Session.getInstance(props, null);

  • Unable to create connection to the Oracle Java Cloud server

    Hi All,
I am trying to deploy simple ADF application to Oracle Cloud.
I am successfully transfered HR schema to my database cloud service and now am trying to create a connection to the oracle java cloud service instance
but it is failing to create a connection to the cloud server and throwing the error message
    Testing Cloud-Admin                    ... failed.
    listApplications failed.
    Check username, password, domain, instance.
Check cloud sdk location & version: Tools->Preferences->Oracle Cloud
    0 of 1 tests successful.
    MyService details are as follows
    JDEV : Build JDEVADF_11.1.1.6.0CLOUD_GENERIC_121118.1600.6229
    Cloud version: 13.2.2.0.0
I am pretty sure , i am using proper credentials since am able to java cloud service console with same credentials.
Please help me out on this.
    Thanks

    Hi Thanks for the reply
I check check-box of proxy settings and restarted the jdeveloper and tried again but still it throws the same error? one doubt here...what all we need to include / exclude in our proxy settings...
and the I tried providing service name as both java and javatrial8477 but no luck i followed the same steps which are mentioned in the below document
Part 2: Deploying ADF Applications to Oracle Java Cloud
Do i need to do any other configuration? Or i can directly deploy my ear file to java service console rt instead of creating connection tot the server from IDE.

  • Unrecognized option: -server  Could not create the Java virtual machine.

    Hi
I'm running JBoss 4.0 with JDK 1.5.0_12 (or could use 1.2.1 or 1.4.2) but when I try run.bat I get the following error
Unrecognized option: -server Could not create the Java virtual machine.
IfI try removing -server I get a different message
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: org/jboss/Main (Unsupported major.minor version 48.0)
Hope you can help. Really need to get this going ASAP
    Thanks
    Geri

    Hi all,
    Thanks for responding.
This is what I get when I did the following:
    $java -version
    java version "1.2.2"
Solaris VM (build Solaris_JDK_1.2.2_06, native threads, sunwjit)
    $which java
    /usr/bin/java
The java version was definitely not what I expected as I had installed the Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment 1.3.1 and no Java hotspot was found even though I had already installed it. Maybe it because I did not install them correctly.
How do I get rid of the older version and replace it with a newer one?
I noticed that in later versions of J2SE, Hotspot VM was said to have been incorporated in it. But there are no guides on how to get Hotspot up and running, it will be great if anyone of you can guide me on this or point me to a site that can help me.
Please bear with me as I am still very new to this. Thanks!
