Create Domain Structure Using ODM

I'm trying to create a Domain Structure ie. uk.oracle.com using
directory manager 3.01 and keep getting the dreaded 112 error.
I have set dc=com added the <top> and <domain> object classes
and set the mandatory attribute to be com
Anyone shed any light onto this ??
The only thing I can get working is c=uk !!

you can create ou=uk, dc=oracle, dc=com
that means below dc=com, create another dc as oracle and further below that create ou=uk (use organizationalUnit as object class).
Cheers...

  • Create org structure using XPress

Is it possible to create an org structure using Xpress? For example, if the input parameter has the following:
    Top:MyCompanyName:MyDepartment
then it should create a new org name:
    MyCompanyName
and under this is another org (which represents the department)
    MyDepartment
    i.e.
    MyCompanyName
    ---->MyDepartment

Here's the problem to your solution dude!!!
    <?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8'?>
    <!DOCTYPE Waveset PUBLIC 'waveset.dtd' 'waveset.dtd'>
    <Waveset>
    <ObjectGroup name='MyCompanyName'>
    <MemberObjectGroups>
    <ObjectRef type='ObjectGroup' id='#Top#' name='Top'/>
    </MemberObjectGroups>
    </ObjectGroup>
    <ObjectGroup name='MyDepartment'> <MemberObjectGroups> <ObjectRef type='ObjectGroup' id='#Top#' name='MyCompanyName'/> </MemberObjectGroups> </ObjectGroup>

  • Create domain alias

I created domain alias using the following LDIF sentences:
    A:
    dn: dc=b, dc=a, dc=com, dc=cn, o=internet
    changetype: add
    objectclass: alias
    objectclass: inetDomainAlias
    aliasedObjectName: dc=x, dc=y, dc=com, o=internet
    dc:b
    Later, I also tried B::
    dn: dc=b.a.com.cn, o=internet
    changetype: add
    objectclass: alias
    objectclass: inetDomainAlias
    aliasedObjectName: dc=x, dc=y, dc=com, o=internet
    dc:b.a.com.cn
    it seemed both works.
I wonder which way is right?
or, when should I use which?
    thanks.

Let me clarify over the previous clarification:
    my goal:
    A. When users send emails to internal addresses
([email protected] and [email protected]), the senders' addresses
should be looks like [email protected] or
[email protected] at the recipients' mailboxes, in
another word, the "from" section of the email.
    And,
    B. When users send emails to external addresses
    including [email protected] and other
address, e.g. [email protected], "from" sections of
senders' emails should be like [email protected], or
    [email protected]
That is, users from the Internet will only see the [email protected]/[email protected] address.
    >
    So,
    What I am thinking is:
    1. apply rewrite rule at tcp_local to rewite the
"from" section of emails sent to the Internet
    2. create domain alias b.a.com.cn and c.b.a.com.cn
    for x.com and y.x.com respectly.
So emails sent to [email protected]/[email protected] will be delivered to [email protected]/[email protected]
    >
I do not think I need to add mailalternateaddress to
each user's defination in ldif. Right?
    Would this work?
    Thanks.Thank you.

    hi experts....
can anyone tell me how to use  custom structure in
form interface (parameters) without creating any structure
    in the dictionary.

    Hi Shrama,
If you want to use the structure in interface. You have to create structure in dictionary.
if you create in form or in report ..they won't recongnize the local structures.

    Hi,
If you are using file-based installation, you can install as non-root user and create domains as usual. You can use asadmin command available at <AS_INSTALL>/bin to do this.
    ex: ./asadmin create-domain domaindir /tmp/justfortest adminport 4850 --adminuser admin domain_nonroot_test
Did you face any problem doing this in non-root. Unless you have write permissions in domaindir, you won't be facing any problem.
    Hope this clarifies your question.
    Thanks,

It sounds like what you are trying to do is edit the choices in a likert field to something other than the default radio button. This is not something that you can do in Formscentral at this time.

  • Steps to Create a structure in  t.code se11

    hi,
I want to know the steps to create a structure in se11.
i want to include these fields:
    <u>Table</u>    <u>field</u>
    ekpo         -     ematn
    v_024        -     ektek
    ekko         -     verkf

    Hi,
    1. Go To SE11
    2. Select the radio button "Data Type"
    3. Enter the structure name "ZXXX"
    4. Click create button
    5. Dialog box will appear
    5. Select the radio button "Structure" from that dialog
    6. A new screen "Dictionary: Maintain Structure" will appear
    7. Enter the short description
    8. Create components ( means fields ) by clicking Buit-in type / component button.
Built-in means SAP standard DATA types
Components means using existing Domain/Data element
        Ex:
        Component: ABC
        data Type: CHAR
    9. Now click the save button (Control + S)
    10. Click the "Activate" button (Control + F3)
    11. Now your structure is ready to use.
    Note:
In your case you can go for Component type to declare the fields. Since you have EMATN, EKTEK and VERKF.

  • Anomaly detection using ODM

I was asked the following question:
"My question is very simply, we are doing a monitoring system for a
website that helps the admin to mine on specific data (using ODM to
produce Web mining) so we want to apply the anomaly detection. We dont
know what we should do and what we should produce as a results."
A couple of suggestions come to mind:
    1) For an overall discussion of intrusion detection in general using the Oracle RDBMS as an analytical platform the following paper might be useful:
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/bi/odm/pdf/odm_based_intrusion_detection_paper_1205.pdf
    2) A couple of things to think about and do:
    (a) Define what is the "mining case", that is, the "object that defines what is the concept you want to mine. For example, in web mine you may want to detect anomalous session activity. This can be defined over the whole activity of a session or over time windows. In the first case each session will define a mining case (it will be a row in the training data). In the second case each section will generate many mining cases, one per time window. Let's assume for sake of discussion that the goal is to identify anomalous session activity. Then the training data will consist of the session activities (e.g., clicks, pages visited, and/or information from forms; or more generally, http requests). There will be one row per session in the training data. If we know beforehand that some of those sessions where intrusion or anomalous in some sense we can also capture this data as a target for supervised modeling.
    (b) Decide what modeling to do. Two types of modeling can be performed (see the paper above for examples):
    (i) Supervised modeling - case there are examples of anomalous cases as well as normal cases
This can be done by building a classifier on the training data. It is also possible to measure the quality of the classifier on a held aside sample.
(ii) Unsupervised modeling - this should be done as well even if we can create a supervised model
Unsupervised approaches don't provide a measure that indicates how good the model is at predicting anomalous events. These models are better at ranking cases by how anomalous the model believe they are.
Two common unsupervised techniques for anomaly detection are: Clustering and One-Class SVM. The latter is considered a state-of-art in many problem domains and it is the one implemented by ODM. ODM also has clustering but it does not return distance of a row to the center of cluster. This information is necessary for using it clustering for anomaly detection. If one wants to use clustering, the Oracle Data Mining blog has a post that can help compute distance from rows to centroids:
    http://oracledmt.blogspot.com/2006/07/finding-most-typical-record-in-group.html
It is important to note that the method described in the post doesn't support nested column attributes.
When building unsupervised models, only the data for normal cases should be used to training the models. The unsupervised models can be seen as defining what is normal. It will recognize that something is anomalous when it does not match the definition of normality learned by the model.
    (c) Use ODMR to help with modeling
    (d) As new session information is gathered it is possible to score in real-time the session to detect anomalous behavior. One should score both supervised (if information was available) and unsupervised models to detect anomalous behavior. See the above paper for some discussion on this.
The supervised model will indicate if a case is anomalous or not based on known types of anomalous behavior. One should use ROC tuning in ODMR to find a good operating point for the model. This is necessary because the number of anomalous cases is usually small compared to normal ones.
The unsupervised model (one-class SVM) will provide a ranking. The higher the probability of belonging to class 1 the more normal. A 0.5 probability for class 1 indicates the boundary between normal and not normal. In reality it marks a boundary where normality dominates. There can be some anomalous cases with probability higher than 0.5 and some normal cases with probabilities less than 0.5. If working in batch mode we can rank the probabilities in ascending order and select the first K rows for investigation.
    --Marcos

A suggestion to speed up the process: provide more information about your data (e.g., schema) and how you are invoking the algorithm (GUI, API, settings). Case you are using the APIs, have you tried the sample programs for anomaly detection?
Regarding the Apriori algorithm it does not support timestamps and dates columns. In fact, none of the algorithms in ODM does (see the documentation for Oracle Data Mining for the supported column data types). the dbms_predictive_analytics package does. Are you trying to do sequential association rules or just trying to do plain association rules using data from a date column? ODM does not support the former. The latter can be done by converting the date column to a VARCHAR or NUMBER column.

  • DFS Best Practice and domain structures

We currently have built a new domain structure for our client which consist of domains in separate forests with the approapriate trusts in place. The domains being:
user, resource, legacy resource  and Test.
It is assumed that the resources will be migrated out of the legacy domain to the new resource domain in the medium term.
Given we have circa 650 file shares, which causes problems with logon scripts, I want to present those shares via a DFS. Internally our view is that the DFS should be built in the user forest to reference file shares in the resource domain(s).
Our client, however believes the DFS is a resource, and therfore should be presented in the new resource domain.
What are the pros / cons of each and what would be the Microsoft recommendation and why ?

    Hi,
As the purpose is to migrate shares to new domain (in new forest), it seems DFS is not required to do this job.
From your description, it seems that DFS is not created yet.
If so, you can simply migrate files to new domain. Then you could export the following key and import to new file server:
    HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanServer\Shares
Note: If folder location is changed, you need to edit the key before importing to new server.
In addition, if DFS is already existing, you could export it, edit configuration files and import to new domain. See:
Migrating your DFS Namespaces in three (sorta) easy steps
    http://blogs.technet.com/b/askds/archive/2008/01/15/migrating-your-dfs-namespaces-in-three-sorta-easy-steps.aspx
Note: If you need to keep NTFS permissions, firstly you need to create a one-way trust (source domain trusts the target domain) and use ADMT to migrate domain users/groups to new domain so that all NTFS permissions could be recognized.
Note2: To copy files with NTFS permission, you could use Robocopy.

  • Unable to capture error message while creating an SO using bapi

    Hi,
Can anybody suggest how to capture the error message while creating a SO using BAPI.
I have developed a customeized BAPI and using the BDC format to create the SO.
Note: i am using a call transaction method for the BDC.
I am sending the message into message1.
but i am unable to send the same into an internal table
    shyam.

    Hi Shyam
If my understanding is correct, you are performing BDC process within the customized BAPI...
And you want to collect the messages from BDC to an internal table and pass to the output.
    Proceed as below:
    1. While calling BDC, use CALL TRANSACTION .... with addition: <b>MESSAGES INTO itab</b>. The structure of itab should be like <b>BDCMSGCOLL</b>.
    2. Now the messages will be collected in ita.
    3. Prepare the messages using FM: <b>FORMAT_MESSAGE</b>
    4. Collect to the returning table.
    Hope this helps...
Though i could not understand the reason of creating a BDC within BAPI, you can opt for loading orders via BAPI's like: BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDAT1 or BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDAT2.
    Kind Regards
