Create dynamic directory name from form field on Sharepoint

Trying to save pdf file to sharepoint site using URL; but need to create directory (initially) and filename dynamically. After directory created addtn'l files may populate dir, so need to check for directory exists; if so just copy files to dir based on field name. I'm able to save files to hard-coded location only, based on below.
How to check and/or create dynamic directory base don field name?
// folder level JavaScript to allow access to the identity object properties
trustedIdentity = app.trustedFunction( function (sProperty)
var iProperty = "";
app.beginPriv();
iProperty = identity[sProperty];
app.endPriv();
return iProperty;
// folder level JavaScript to allow Save As population of file name
mySaveAs = app.trustPropagatorFunction(function(myForm, path)
     app.beginPriv();
     var myForm = event.target;
     return rtn = myForm.saveAs(path);
     app.endPriv();
myTrustFunct = app.trustedFunction(function(myForm, path)
     app.beginPriv();
     var vTest1 = event.target.xfa.resolveNode("topmostSubform[0].Page1[0].Test1[0]").rawValue.toString();
     var vTest2 = event.target.xfa.resolveNode("topmostSubform[0].Page1[0].Test2[0]").rawValue.toString();
     var vTest3 = event.target.xfa.resolveNode("topmostSubform[0].Page1[0].Test3[0]").rawValue.toString();
     var vTest4 = event.target.xfa.resolveNode("topmostSubform[0].Page1[0].Test4[0]").rawValue.toString();
     var vpdf_url=location.href;location.href='http://mysite2010.com/documents
     var vPath = "/vpdf_url/" + vTest1 + Test2  + vTest3 + " .pdf";
          //console.println("vPath: " + vPath);
     var retn = mySaveAs(myForm, vPath);
     app.endPriv();
     return retn;

Acrobat/Reader cannot create a directory. The directory needs to exist before Acrobat/Reader can save a PDF file to that directory.
You could create a plug-in and use that plug-in to create the directory. The plug-in should also be able to determine if the directory exists or not.
SharePoint can be tricky because it is not like most web sites. There is a special dash board that helps manage the different parts of SharePoint like list, folders, web parts, documents, etc so you may need to be aware of these features and adjust for them.
For  folder level functions, I would not use any LiveCycle JavaScript variations. The folder level scripts are shared and accessible by Acrobat forms.

  • Create dynamically a number of Input Fields

    hi all,
    one issue about creating dynamically a range of Input fields:
    i have one sap.ui.layout.form.FormContainer.
    at first i want to have one Input field in it. if this field is filled, i want to have a new one below, which is empty, and the cursor should be set to the new field.
    so i know that there is an function addContent for the formcontainer, so i can listen to the changeEvent of the Input field, if this is filled i will add a new Input field.
    at first: is this a good solution or is there any recommended way from SAP?
    second: if i will implement it this way, how can i read the data from this "array" of input fields?
    third: how can i set focus on input field in sapui5?
    thanks for help!
    Regards,
    Alex

    1) Solution sounds good to me
    2) You can do it in multiple ways:
    you can use content aggregation from FormContainer
    you can access Input field by id (you would need to follow some kind of convention when giving id to newely created field, like "inputField" + count, count ++)
    you can use RowRepeater (not sure though how it looks in FormContainer) and use a model for bining
    3) SAPUI5 SDK - Demo Kit From my experience element.focus() works just fine

  • Create dynamic distribution group from 2 or more OU ?

    How I can create Dynamic distribution group from 2 or more OU ?
    I tried modified solution from this post:
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/office/en-US/11a338b9-dbca-4378-9cda-4590a5b8d0f7/exclude-specific-ou-or-user-from-dynamic-distribution-groups?forum=exchangesvrgenerallegacy
    but I'm not sure will this work.

    Hi,
    I have some tests in my environment using Exchange 2013. I use the following cmdlet to create a dynamic distribution group through multiple OUs, but it can't work as I expect.
    New-DynamicDistributionGroup -Name "Users with mobile phones" -Alias "usermobile" -RecipientFilter{(((recipienttype -eq 'usermailbox') -and (MobilePhone -ne $null) -and ((RecipientContainer -eq 'contoso.com/users') -or (RecipientContainer -eq 'contoso.com/test
    OU'))) )}
    Actually, we have a dedicated support team regarding the Microsoft Scripts. I recommend you ask your question on our Microsoft Scripts forum which is staffed by more experts specializing in this kind of problems. Thanks for your understanding.

  • Creating Worksheets with Fill-In Form Fields

    What is the best application for creating worksheets with fill-in form fields?  The worksheets will be emailed to my clients for completion.  Once completed they need to be able to save them to their computer and/or email them back to me.  What application will they have to have in order to fill in and save the PDF?

    In short, you will need Acrobat to create the forms. They only need the free Reader to fill them in and save them.

  • Auto Create Filename from Form Fields

    Hello all,
    I am trying to find a way that I can save a form with a certain filename. I have the form create and all set to go. The user will be input some information into boxes. For instance I will have a Name box and a Date box. After the user is done filling out the form I would like the filename to be these two input boxes. Is there a way to do this? So basically I need to take these two form fields and have them be saved as the filename. Any help would be great. Thanks alot.

    You can export the data form the PDF using the FormDataIntegration service.
    Once you have the data in xml format, you can use a setValue and concatenate the value of the two nodes you're interested in.

  • Dynamic file name from input payload (RFC 2 flat file)

    Hi,
    I have an RFC to flat file scenario. The output flat file has not an XML structure, it's just a plain text file generated with abap mapping.
    In my source interface (RFC), I have a field called <FILENAME>, I want to use the value of that field to create the target file using dynamic file name. But if  in variable substitution I use payload:ZRFC_NAME,1,FILENAME,1 It doesn't work because the dynamic variable substitution try to access to output payload, not the source one...
    What can I do?

    Hi Marshal,
           You can add a extra node to your target strucutre like
    FileName- Node
    --FileName - Element.
    do the mapping from the field filename of RFC to FileName field in u r target strucure. And use this  field path at Refrence in variable subtituion.
    In the Content converison add the Name & Values as below
    FileName.fileldNames -- FileName
    FileName.fieldFixedLengths -- 0
    FileName.fixedLengthTooShortHandling -- Cut
    So the extra field in u r target structure would not populate in u r target text file.
    Cheers

  • How do I create a text box or form field on the top of every page of a pdf in XI Pro for titles?

    I generate pdf content from another program and then in Acrobat XI Pro I want to add titles to each page.
    I'm thinking I can use form fileds and duplicate across all pages but how do I make each form filed unique?
    Or could i add a form field to a background and then apply the background to every page in the pdf?
    thanks.

    This type of thing is probably best done with a script, either by adding a uniquely named field to each page or by spawing a template page that contains just the form field (like your last idea). There's not a built-in method for doing this. If you add a blank page to the beginning of the document, create the field in the location you want, and make the page a template, you can run the following script in the interactive JavaScript console (Ctrl+J):
    // Get a reference to the template
    var t = getTemplate("Field");
    // Spawn the template on each page, automatically renaming the fields
    for (var i = 1; i < numPages; i += 1) {
        t.spawn({nPage: i, bRename: true, bOverlay: true});
    To run the code, select it all in the console and press Ctrl+Enter, or Enter on the numeric keypad.
    To make a page a template in Acrobat 11, make sure you're on the page you want to make a template and select: Tools > Document Processing > Page Templates
    and enter a name. I used a name of "Field" in the example above, but you can use anything.
    To create a blank page, you can use the following script:
    newPage({nPage: 0, nWidth: 8.5 * 72, nHeight: 11 * 72});
    for an 8.5"x11" page. Adjust the numbers to match whatever your page size is. It will be added to the beginning of the document and you can then add the field and make it a template. Once the fields have been added, you can remove the template page.

    Hello,
    Please follow the below to achieve the same.
    input - Store number,
    UDF
    String dynaname = input;
    DynamicConfiguration conf = (DynamicConfiguration) container
    .getTransformationParameters()
    .get(StreamTransformationConstants.DYNAMIC_CONFIGURATION );

  • Adobe Livecycle: Save as Filename from Form Field Assistance

    I have Livecycle E2 and Adobe 9.0.  I am trying to have a pdf save in a desired location with a filename that originates from a field form.  So far, I have created a folder level script under C/programfiles/adobe/acrobat 9.0/acrobat/javascript/xxxxxxx.js.  Inside the .js folder level I have this so far:

         app.beginPriv();
              mySaveAs(doc, file_path);
         app.endPriv();
    Also, I created a button on my pdf with a text field named "NAME".  I ran a javascript with mouseUp on the button with this code:
    // Get the field value
    var fn = getField("NAME").valueAsString;
    // Specify the folder
    var fldr = "/c/testing/";
    // Determine the full path
    var fp = fldr + fn + ".pdf";
    // Save the file

    For some reason, the file does not save at all in that location after typing in some text in the name field and hitting the button.  Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

  • Import Text From Form Field into Subject Line of Email

    Hello,
    Is there a way to import text from a form field into the subject line of the email when sending back (attaching) the PDF form?  In other words, there is an "applicant name" and I would like that name to be the subject line of the email.
    I am using Adobe Acrobat X (10.1.7)
    If any one has aby guidance or resources online where I can locate this information I would greatly appreciate it!  I have been searching all day but have not found a solution yet.
    Thanks!

    Thank you so much for the help.  For some reason I cannot get it to work though.   Now, when I hit the submit button it does not do anything.
    Previously, I had the following code under
    ACTIONS>Mouse Up>Submit a Form
    mailto:[email protected]?subject=Employee Application
    I removed the above mailto URL and put in your code as a Javascript function. I made sure that my field name matched the name in quotes within the code.
    I used the following:
    var subject = getField("lastname").value
    this.mailDoc({
    bUI: false,
    cTo: "[email protected]",
    cSubject: subject,
    cMsg: "Type message here"
    Do you see anything obvious that I am doing wrong?
    Many thanks!

  • Dynamic table name from Arguments in cfquery /

    I'm trying to use dynamic table names in a cfc but seem to
    have hit upon a wall as my calling methods from flash keep hitting
    my _error methods - Code attached to show what I'm trying to
    achieve; if anyone can give me some pointers it would be a great
    help. I've seen numerous by using the Form with the arguments but
    this is coming into a gateway used by a flash component and doesn't
    work no matter how much I fiddle the code.
    Thanks in advance

    There was a time when I needed a dynamic query such as this.
    BUT, it is very dangerous, which is why I took a few steps to make
    it more secure.
    1. Always use cfqueryparam and strict datatyping
    2. Use listFindNoCase for known table names in the database
    e.g
    <cfset variables.tableNames =
    "items,products,categories,blog" />
    <cfif
    listContainsNoCase(variables.tableNames,lCase(trim(arguments.tableName)),",")>
    query here
    <cfelse>
    Error: Unknown table requested
    </cfif>

  • Is anyone know how to create dynamic pdf file from a JSP page or Servlet ?

    Hi
    Is any one know how to create a dynamic PDF file from JSP or servlet. I need to have standard form format needs to be created and want to send the info to that form dynamically.
    Is there any libraries available?
    Thanks

    I posted a link in this thread to a lib that lets you create PDFs from an app. They have a Java version. I have not used it but I know someone who used it with Microsoft ASP and they liked it.

    Yeah.. but I keep coming up against brick walls
    I'm trying to manipulate David Powers PHP Solutions chapter 6 - Uploading Files.
    He's got some sort of complicated function going on which makes sure no two images which are uploaded to a folder have the same name. i.e., london.jpg becomes london_1.jpg. (the php even inserts underscores if there are gaps in the image name)
    If I just use $ImageName = $_FILES["ImageName"]["name"]; potentially I could end up with dozens of images with the same name in the database, which is NOT desirable.
    Of course I could simplyfy everything and use two forms - 1 for uploading the images to the upload folder and then one for inserting the images details into the database BUT that has the drawback of the client needing to type in the name of the image identically to match the name which has been generated in the upload folder and that aint gonna happen in a million years

  • Gather information from form fields, sort into links for searching

    I have a PDF Acrobat form that I email to about 100 people, they return the completed forms to me and I put all the forms together into a single PDF.This removes the form fields, but leaves the form information that was filled out.
    I need to set up an easy way for people to navigate and search the forms by several criteria: a person's name, their country of origin, company name, and so forth. Other than manually creating links for each of these search criteria, is there a more efficient way?

    You can export the data form the PDF using the FormDataIntegration service.
