Create Error Message for wrong input of time (VC 7.1)

Hello,
I use VC 7.1.
I have an Input Field where the users have to enter the time of an event.
The time has to have this format: hh:mm:ss.
How can I check this? And if the users entered a wrong time format how can I post an error message?
Or does anybody has any other solution to handle this? But I must say to it that I don't want to use an ABAP RFC to solve this problem.

Why does iTunes not give an error message for wrong type of movie file

I just spent an hour trying to get iTunes to import a movie type which it doesn't understand. Why on earth does it just fail silently instead of giving an error message about incompatible file type ? It was my own stupid fault, but I am so used to getting quirky errors in iTunes that I overlooked the obvious and started going up blind alleys. Is there some preference somewhere that can change this way of working.

Have you tried downloading the apps on your computer and syncing?
The message means what it says. Yu do not see the "artwork" for the app.

you can have simple type with basic type date and there you can specify the format, if you want it as a client side validation.
or
you can use [java.text.SimpleDateFormat|http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/docs/api/java/text/SimpleDateFormat.html] for displaying it.

Error Message "No batch input data for screen SAPMF05A 0700" for FV60&FB60

Dear All,
I doing a BDC Upload program for Create Vendor Invoice and Park using FV60 ,But i can't upload successfully by Batch Input method and i am gettin the Error Message "No batch input data for screen SAPMF05A 0700'.I tried using FB60 and got the same error message. When i do in the direct method i can able to do it ,But can't park the document successfully and can do it untill sumilate only.
How to overcome this issue and if you already encounter this kind of problem please advice me.

Throwing error message for a component

I have a form in which there are several fields. One of field is LOV for which i do some validation on valuechangeListener. If that validation fails, i send error to the form for that particular field. It is working fine. but after this if user submits the form, it is submitted. In case of validation failed by framewrok, it is not submitted. HOw i can set that component in error state so that form is not submitted. I am using following code to throw error or component:

actually you are not throwing an error but set a message to display to the user. Can't you just create a validation for the input field. The field has a property for you to define a managed bean validation reference. You can generate the method skeleton from JDeveloper.

I actually had started on this before your post but you are right. My luck created some issues but after I got around that it worked. I uninstalled everything in the order it needed to. While I was doing this windows had an update. When I restarted something must have went wrong with the update and it crashed on the start up. took me a while to restore it but when I was done it brought back the programs in their damaged state.
So I did the uninstall process again. restarted. and reinstalled and it all works now.

For those reading this the order to uninstall goes as:
iTunes, Apple Software Update, Apple Mobile Device Support, Bonjour, Apple Application Support, iCloud, and finally MobileMe. Skip over any you don't have installed. Then Restart then reinstall itunes.

Thinking about it further, I don't completely subscribe... Indeed it looks like a bad idea to make the OP wonder about dialog.setVisible() when JOptionPane enables him to forget about the hand-made dialog. I stand by my own advice ("JDialog" should not even appear in this code extract).

There are 3 scenario for which we can have error message on logon page of EP
1) Wrong Password
2) Wrong UID
3) UID locked
But on EP6 we have only one message being flash on screen and that is
User authentication failed
To make this error message more user friendly can we have following 2 types of error message
1) Wrong UID / Password
2) UID Locked

Use your logon par file to do this.
If you have customized the par file use that otherwise use com.sap.portal.runtime.logon.par
You can modify the following JPS files..
1)umLogonPage.jsp
2)umLogonCertPage.jsp
3)umResetPasswordPage.jsp
4)changePasswordPage.jsp
5)umHelpPage.jsp
6)umLogonProblemPage.jsp
7)umLogoffPage.jsp
The properties file for error message has configured in the following path..
PORTAL-INF/exlib/umelogobase.jar
configure the error message in the properties file and create the jar file again and save in the same location.
For user ID lock use import com.sapportals.portal.security.usermanagement.IUser(Depricated) or com.sap.secirityapi.IUser to validate.

Error message for Leave request (Related to some Old Question)

Hi Experts, 
 
We are facing an Error when only 1 employee in the company opens his Leave request page, the same page is working for others perfectly. 
 
this Error is the same as the one in the below posts:

and I tried going through their solutions such as: 
 
1. Please check if you have the leave config done on ECC side under Personnel Management --> Employee Self services --> Service Specific settings --> Working time --> Leave request . 
2. At the least you should have assign the default rule to your PSG to the standard leave type given. Otherwise create your own rule groups and Specify Processing processes for type of leave set up. 
3. explicitly activate WEBMO Feature although it was activated 
 
But the Error is still coming for this specific Employee, even though his Vacation Quota is created and available for deduction. 
 
Please Help me in solving this issue.

Sorry, don't know what else to suggest unless there's a URL to the problem stream that someone here can try. Otherwise we can't test it to try and determine what might be wrong.
BTW, make sure they're testing it with a Mac, not with a Windows system. If they test only with Windows, what they say is or is not working doesn't mean much.
