Create filter in Process Flow
hello,
I wanna figure out how to make filters in Process Flow, because I don't see them. Something like:
- if to_char(sysdate,'yyyy') from dual > 2006 then include a mapping.
thank you
br
Create a PL/SQL function that does the appropriate if statement and returns 0,1 or 2. Add this function to your workflow and ensure you turn on Use Return as Status in the configure of the process flow for the function. Join the Success/Error/Warning as appropriate skipping the extra map(s) based on the return value.

Creating variables in Process Flows and using thse variables in the filter
Hi,
I am new to OWB and in learing stage. Need to information.
*1. as to how pass/create/use variables to OWB mapping ?*
*2. Creating variables in Process Flows and using thse variables in the filter operator of the OWB mapping?*
*3. Other mechanisms of how to create/use variables within OWB mapping itself ?*
can you please provide the above details and guide me / help me in this regard.
Thanks,
skms.1. Add parameters to your mapping using the MAPPING INPUT PARAMETER from the pallette.
2. Add parameters to the START operator in the process flow. Bind the process flow parameter to the Mapping parameter.
3. May be appropriate to use CONSTANTS instead of parameters.

Ways of creating contract and process flow of contracts
hi friends
ways of creating contract and process flow of contracts
thanks for ur help
regards
krishnahi,
In the MM Purchasing component, a contract is a type of outline purchase agreement against which release orders (releases) can be issued for agreed materials or services as and when required during a certain overall time-frame.
Contracts can take the following forms:
Quantity contracts
Use this type of contract if the total quantity to be ordered during the validity period of the contract is known in advance. The contract is regarded as fulfilled when release orders totaling a given quantity have been issued.
Value contracts
Use this type of contract if the total value of all release orders issued against the contract is not to exceed a certain predefined value. The contract is regarded as fulfilled when release orders totaling a given value have been issued.
You can also set up corporate buying contracts with your vendors. These are valid for all plants and company codes within a client (see Centrally Agreed Contract).
You can create a contract as follows:
Manually
You enter all data relating to the contract manually.
Using the referencing technique
As reference document (the document you copy from), you can use:
Purchase requisitions
RFQs/quotations
Other contracts
CREATION OF CONTRACT MANUALLY:
Choose Outline agreement --> Contract --> Create(ME31K)
The initial screen appears.
Enter the necessary data. If you make any specifications under the group heading Default data, this data will appear as the default data in each item.
In the Agreement type field, specify whether you are creating a quantity or value contract, for example.
Press ENTER .
The header data screen appears.
Enter the contract validity period. Check the other fields on this screen and make any necessary changes (e.g. the terms of payment) and define the header conditions.
Press ENTER .
The item overview screen appears.
On this screen, enter the information for each item (material number, target quantity, price, receiving plant, or account assignment, etc.) using the same procedure as with purchase orders.
Material without a master record: leave the field for the material number empty and enter the following:
u2013 Short description of the relevant material or service in the Short text field
u2013 Material group to which the material belongs, in the Material group field
u2013 Account assignment category
You can enter u (unknown) or the category of an account assignment.
u2013 The target quantity and the order unit
If you specify an account assignment category other than U (field A), you must enter the relevant account assignment data for the item. To do so, choose Item ® Account assignments (see also Account Assignment).
If necessary, review the details for each item. Select the item(s) to review. Then select Item -> Details.
Enter the desired conditions.
Enter further text for the item if any additional instructions to the vendor or Goods Receiving are necessary. Choose Item -> Texts -> Text overview.
Save the contract.
Hope it helps..

Error while creating Process flows in OWB 11gR2
Hi
I have never faced this before and thats why it baffles me. I am trying to create a new process flow module which has already been configured to the OWF_LOCATION(Oracle workflow location).
I get Java exception error window with long list of details which are rocket science to me.
I will paste few lines of the details as its a big trace

I tried registering the location again before de-registering it. OWB comes up with an RTC error

Error in using External Process in the Process Flow
I Created a Process Flow with an external process to Move the file from one location to another location,
I gave the below parameters for the External Process
COMMAND: move
PARAMETER_LIST: ?F:\\FlatFiles\\in\\company.txt?F:\\FlatFiles\\error\\company.err
SUCCESS_THRESHOLD: 0
SCRIPT:
The environment is
Windows 2003
OWB 9.2.0.8
OWF Builder 2.6
When I deploy and execute using Deployment Manager, it gave me the below error
Starting Execution TEST
Starting Task TEST
Starting Task TEST:EXTERNALPROCESS
CreateProcess: move move F:\FlatFiles\in\company.txt F:\FlatFiles\error\company.err error=2
Completing Task TEST:EXTERNALPROCESS
Completing Task TEST
Completing Execution TEST
What am I missing something here?
Is my Parameters correct?
GIve me the link where I can find more on using External process.
Please...please...help me..
ShreeNikolai,
I have created a simple process flow which only calls the external process. The script is on the same host as the process flow is deployed to.
I have used two diffent values for the command parameter.
1. I placed the full path of the file in the command parameter and left the script parameter blank:
COMMAND: /edwftp/ppas/scripts/ClearPPAS.sh
PARAMETER_LIST:
SUCCESS_THRESHOLD: 0
SCRIPT:
2.I placed the bash command in the command parameter and the full path in the script parameter.
COMMAND: /usr/bin/sh
PARAMETER_LIST:
SUCCESS_THRESHOLD: 0
SCRIPT: /edwftp/ppas/scripts/ClearPPAS.sh
Both of these appear to work as they print out the statements inside the script but the files that are supposed to be removed still remain.

Help with scheduling Process Flows in Workflow in 10gR2
Dear All
I am after some help with the scheduling of process flows (PF) in Workflow in OWB 10gR2. I am trying to set up some PF’s to handle the refresh of some staging tables from various source systems. I have created a separate Process Flow Module for each source systems, mainly just to keep them separate and organised. I have a number of mappings which all run fine if execute manually or linked directly to a schedule/job. The problem I am encountering is when I try to run process flows from schedules. I have created process flows ok and have run them manually and they complete fine so I know that the content of the PF is ok. After linking and deploying the jobs I can never get all the process flows to run from the various schedules. What appears to happen is that the first PF works ok and any other PF that are within the same Process Flow Module/packages also runs ok even if its running off as different schedules. However PF’s under the other Process Flow Module fail with the following error

ORA-06512: at "OWF_MGR.WF_ENGINE", line 3920
ORA-06512: at line 1
Following this error the PF will not even run manually! If I then stop the schedule and either drop or replace this failed PF thus redeploying, the PF then runs fine manually and if the restart the schedule it runs ok the next evening. My problem is that this then appears to impact on the other PF’s which all though have not been touched and ran ok the previous evening they then fail the following evening with the same error

Hi all,
I have a function which returns a value either 1 or 0. I want to get the output of the function and check if the function returns 1 then the process flow should be successful else it should error out.
I have created a simple process flow, which has start, function, success and error. From the function to success transtion i have given an complex condition where value =1 and the other transtion should be kept empty. But it didnt work.
Any ideas how exactly we can use a function in a process flow.
Thanks in advanceThere is another way of achiving it....
Go to process flow -> Configure and click on the function operator.
Under Execution Settings, select the option Use Return as Status
This setting governs the behavior for activities that return NUMBER in their output. These activities include the FTP, User Defined, and Transform activities. When you select Use Return as Status, the Process Flow Editor assigns the outgoing transition conditions based on the following numerical return values for the activity:
1 = Success Transition
2 = Warning Transition
3 = Error Transition
You might have your function return 1 for success and 3 for error and the transition would take them as status code.
Thanks,
Suchit -
EMail and SQLPLUS activity in process flow
Hi Guys,
I am struggling to get the email activity working. I entered all the details but no email is sent?
Secondly, I had an easy sql plus script that I pasted into the script property box
But the sqlplus just does not execute?
truncate table xxx;
quit
Any ideas?Make sure there are no spaces after you have replaced DISABLED with NATIVE_JAVA.
Any space after the NATIVE_JAVA will not work.
Can you give details like what are you using Script or Parameter list etc ?
Did you configure the deployed location for the SQLPLus parameter ??
Regarding Your EMAIL -
Is your process flow showing any error regarding email ??
Create a simple process flow with email activity only.
Set FROM_EMAIL , TO_EMAIL , SUBJECT ,MESSAGE_BODY, SMTP_SERVER , PORT
SMTP_SERVER and PORT values are very important.
Check connection to SMTP_SERVER by running the following command on dos prompt
telnet smtp_server_name port
If this works this means your smtp server is working. Now just deploy and run your processs flow.
If it still doen't send you email, check whats in the log.
The log should give you any errors regarding email like ORA-06512: at "SYS.UTL_TCP", line 17 ,etc (if any).
Thanks,
Sam. -

External commands in OWB Process Flow
Hello *,
how can I embed an external command (e.g. a batch file) in an OWB process flow.
I know the User Defined Activity but I didn't succeed in embedding this.
Has someone an example for me?
Thanks and regards
Michaelhi thomas...
thanks for your reply...
I changed the parameters of runtime.properties to NATIVE_JAVA as u said...but it still not running....
I will give u a celar pic..what I am doing now..
I wrote a bat file called cmd.bat with the following commands..
d:
cd temp
copy var.dat d.txt
del var.dat
I kept the path of this file(d:\temp\cmd.bat)..in the script parameter of userdefined activity...
and the path of the cmd.exe (c:\windows\system32\cmd.exe) file in command parameter
I created a basic process flow(ch)..with start, userdefined and stop activities...
I just want to copy the data from var.dat to d.dat and delete the var.dat..
the deployment and running of this process(ch) from the control center manager is success...but the actual copying and deletion that was mentioned in my cmd.bat..is not happening...
I am using owb 10gr2....
anymore suggestions plzz..
thanks

I am new to OWB and have created lot of maps and running maps one by one manually to load data.
Now I want to automate it with process flow and workflow. I created a location for workflow and tested the connection.
I have created a small process flow . Now from control center when I select the process flow and click on start it says I have to deploy it before executing it. If I tell yes for deployemnt it says no objects for deployment (rtc-5170).
What is the procedure for executing a process flow.
any documentaion will help
thanksWithin the control center right click on your process flow, set action, create. Then deploy the process flow. Then run the process flow.

How to Schedule OWB Process Flows through OEM
Hi,
I have successfully created mappings and process flows for my project.
But now I want to schedule the process flows through OEM.
Following are my DB configurations..
OWB Version : 10g R1 (Oracle SID LVDSGDEV ) on windows
Runtime Owner: ATS_RUN_OWNER (Oracle SID LVDSGDEV )
Runtime User : ATS_RUN_USER (Oracle SID LVDSGDEV )
Work Flow Schema: OWF_MGR (Oracle SID LVDSGDEV)
Source & Target DB : 10g (Oracle SID LVRUNDEV) on windows
Process which I want to Schedule is....
Process Flow Location: ATS_LOC
Process Flow Name: PKG_DM
Process Name: BASE_LOAD
Can someone please suggest me, the procedure to schedule this process flow.....You may choose just to schedule the mapping directly through OEM. Create an OEM SQLPlus job that calls the script:
@c:\owb_home\owb\rtp\sqlplus_exec_template.sql;
Check the beginning of the sqlplus_exec_template.sql. It will show examples of the parameters it accepts and it has some documentation. It works nicely. -
Hi All,
I have created two different process flows and configured them with one scheduler is it a gud idea to schedule to process flows using a single scheduler job.You can always utilize Oracle resource for parallel processing.
This will surely work but again this has a lot to do with your hardware configuration.
By saying Hardware Configuration, I mean to say the server capabilities.
Once I tried out running 2 process flow with single scheduler, but due to lower end server, there was no significant change in processing time.
Rather I should say, it took more time.. -
Sale process flow of SBO E-Commerce - What documents are created in SAP B1?
Dear All,
Can any one please confirm the sale process flow of SBO E-Commerce, when a customer submits an Sales Order and pays the amount online?
I am mainly interested to know about the documents, which are created in SAP B1 after the said Payment against the Order through the Web tools? As I understand it, out of the box WebTools simply creates a B1 Sales Order from a WebTools order during the scheduled synchronization.
If you are accepting credit card payments and have configured a credit card gateway (Paypal, Skipjack, etc), then you can choose to authorise the payment only for capture later or capture the payment immediately at the time of order. Neither of these events creates any document in SAP B1. You process the order as normal and post a payment manually as part of your workflow.
If you have a credit card add-on (CitiXSys or similar) installed and specified in the WebTools Synch Manager, the normal SAP B1 processing of the Sales Order (creating a delivery document) will trigger the capture of a previously authorised credit card payment, creating and posting an A/R invoice and an associated payment document in B1.
Hope this helps you in your question.
Cheers,
