Create FTP account for user in Solaris 10

Hi,
I am new to Solaris and I need to create a n FTP account so user can have access to certain folder ie /opt/www/docs/newfiles/ (only for upload or download).
user should not be able to go up the defined folder and have access to upper folders.
I tried # useradd -d /opt/www/docs/newfiles/ testuser and then # passwd testuser but this user can navigate up and also can telnet to server.
Please help me to fix the problem. I may not even doing the right thing.

You can configure the /etc/ftpd/ftpaccess file, to do that, an a lot of things more.
Check ftpaccess man page.
Don´t forget restart your ftp service when you made changes to this file.
For example, modify the following lines, previos backup of the file:
Declare a guestuser:
guestuser testuser
The
user's home directory must be set up exactly as
anonymous FTP would be. The home directory field of the
passwd entry is divided into two directories. The first
field is the root directory that will be the argument to
the chroot(2) call. The second field is the user's home
directory, relative to the root directory. Use a "/./"
to separate the two fields. For example, the following
is the real entry in /etc/passwd:
testuser:x:100:92:Guest FTP:/opt/www/docs/./newfiles:/bin/false
Check for permission capabilities.
The following permission capabilities are supported
chmod yes|no typelist
delete yes|no typelist
overwrite yes|no typelist
rename yes|no typelist
umask yes|no typelist
Example:
delete yes guestusers
Define a directory with dirglob that permits or denies uploads.
upload absolute [class=classname]... [-]
root-dir dirglob yes|no owner group mode
dirs [d_mode]
Example:
upload class=guestuser * /opt/www/docs/newfiles yes testuser nodirs

You need to use LiveCycle (PC Only) to create a dynamic form like that.
The best you can do with Acrobat to view all of the text in a field is to set the field to multiline, and set the size to "Auto" (If you don't set the size to 'Auto', you can enter as much text as you wish, but the user will need to use the scrollbar to view all of the text.)

- The first argument parentComponent is not be the dialog you want to display, but the component over which you want the dialog to appear. The most typical value are this or null.
- The second argument is the "message" to display, but as described in the API, it can be a JComponent, that is, even a JPanel with child widgets (in a word, a JPanel containing the specific form you'd display in the dialog if you were writing the dialog manually).
Again, at the risk of insisting densely, I'm only quoting the API an tutorial, so please read them attentively.

Thinking about it further, I don't completely subscribe... Indeed it looks like a bad idea to make the OP wonder about dialog.setVisible() when JOptionPane enables him to forget about the hand-made dialog. I stand by my own advice ("JDialog" should not even appear in this code extract).

I'm following step-by-step instruction for creating management accounts for protected groups that I found in Microsoft book "Best Practise for Securing Active Directory", published april 2013.
What is confusing me is the "Enabling management accounts to modify the membership of protected groups" step. When I use DSACLS command:
Dsacls "CN=AdminSDHolder,CN=System,DC=MyDomain,DC=com"/G
[email protected]:RPWP;member
what I have to type insted of "member".
When I use previous command with simple "member" at the end I dont get this:
Verify that the account has been granted only Read Members and
Write Members permissions on the DA group, and click OK.
My account have flag on all properties.

And you can connect app store using an existing Microsoft account like Hotmail, msn etc.

Also increase shared memory hence creating the same problem.
Can anyone sujjest me what would be the cause?

Increase parameter streams_pool.
Set it for example to 100MB
Then try again.

I need to create an account for my daughter and I keep getting the message that the user id already exsists. When I checked to see if the user id was in the system it told me that it didn't find one. How can I create another account for her?

I do not want to have to assign her another email address because this is the one she has used as long as long as she has had the ipod. She is under my email account but has her own address.What do I need to do to fix this? She got a card for Christmas that I can't put in to an account for her and she cannot use. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks!

You must create the account using an Apple device, a Mac (Lion or greater) or an IOS device (IOS5 or greater). Having done that you will be able to sign in from your Windows machine.
FYI, iCal is an application that can display calendars from iCloud (and others) it is not a calendar itself, merely a calendar client. In Windows Outlook is the calendar client.

Apple tech helped me 60 min ago. Told me to create new account for wife. Wiped out her ipod music--now iTunes wont let me download it in her new account so I can restore her music! Help!!

Today an Apple tech helped me 60 min ago. Although my wife and I have diff apple ID's, our music was mixing and syncin back and forth. The tech told me to create new comp user account for wife which I did. I wiped out everything on her ipod and signed in under her ID. When I tried to put it back I got a message that I couldn't download her purchased music for 90 days because there was another apple ID associated with my computer. Not sure wether that means mine or hers. What I am sure of is that I'm dead if I can't get her music back. Please help. Thanks, Craig

I can understand how that would be frustrating. If you created a brand new Apple ID for her, your Apple ID should not have been affected any more than anyone else's. They are as separate from one another as your Apple ID is from mine.
Since you just bought your MacBook Air, you can certainly contact AppleCare for this, and I encourage you to do so. They will straighten it out.
Until then, if you want to troubleshoot this on your own, sign in to your Apple ID here:

Click the blue "Manage your Apple ID" button. If it says it no longer exists or gives you other hassles, it's probably not worth your effort to pursue. Have Apple fix it.

Assigning of g/l account for user defined field

IN the sales invoice i am creating the user difined field
for manual tax( i.e manual tax the customer how much tax amount he will give that much amount he will feed in that field )in the row level and i want to assign the g/l account for that user defined field
please explian what is the procedure

Do you want the G/L account input automatically or manually ? if manually try to use this query FMS:
SELECT T0.[AcctCode], T0.[AcctName] FROM OACT T0
In the UDF, just press shift+F2 and select the account code you want to input.
