I search, but I don't find any information.

Create view with dynamic from-clause

Dear all,
you might have some ideas to help me out of my issue that i just "created myself" ;-)
i have a unknown and non-constant amount of tables using the the same table-structure and i do have a master table
that contains all names of these kind of tables. I now want to create a single view that contains all columns of each table
and an additional column name containing the name of the corresponding table.
I found a solution for this but only if I knew all table names while creating my view.
Here's what I currently have:
master_table:
ID TABLENAME
1 table_01
2 table_02
table_01:
ID NAME
1 eins
2 zwei
3 drei
table_02:
ID NAME
1 one
2 two
3 three
my view "tab1tab2" on these 2 table looks like this:
ID NAME TABLENAME
1 eins table_01
2 zwei table_01
3 drei table_01
1 one table_02
2 two table_02
3 three table_02
i achieved this view by using:
CREATE OR REPLACE VIEW TAB1TAB2 ("ID", "NAME", "TABLENAME")

Is there a way to create as many select and union statements as i do have entries (tablenames) in my master_table to achive the same results as my hardcoded view ?

How can i create on apex report region with some columns (of the report) as returned from a table and the other columns as results of plsql functions ?
for example , I want to create a report like that:

3 rows returned
where the 3 first columns are data returned from the table and the forth column is the result of plsql function (returned for example false) and on that i want to display a button of start ( >> in this example ) or stop ( --^-- in this example)

There is no problem here -- this is fully suported scenario.
1. Bind Table dataSource to Customers node.
2. Bind individual cell editors to any attribute of customer or any nested node like Address, say create column with InputField as editor, then for "value" property select Customer.Address.Street.
Your nested nodes (like Address) must be non-singleton, set singleton=false on context designer tab.

Creating PDF with stylesheet from my website

How do I create a PDF directly from my website using a specially-styled page?
Joomla does it and I'm wondering how I can do the same thing. It's similar to a printer-friendly version. But when you click the "create PDF button", it asks you where to save and then creates the file.
Any ideas?

Here's what I did ....
I was rather dismayed that I couldn't use the features that were with QuickTime 7.6.3 so I got brave and took it out of the utilities folder where it was placed when I installed Snow Leopard. I then went into my Time Machine Backups, went to my computers saved library in the SYSTEM FOLDER copied ALL of the components, then pasted them into my HOME library in the new version of installed Leopard Files. When I open up QuickTime 7, I now have access to the two preference areas in the finder, one that now shows my previous registration code, and the other general app preferences. I was also able to convert files from one format to another like before. I haven't used this extensively, so I can't vouch that I might fall prey to some form of future conflict. But, hey, it's worth trying! You can also just go to downloads from apple and get Quicktime 7 and put it back into your utilities folder.

Create Checkbox with Attributes from XML file

I have some problem. I want to create some checkbox with attribute from a XML file
my Xml file look like this:

so I want to create for example a check box with name as Content Relation, Background color is RGB(255, 255, 255) and it's checked. All of these Attribute I have readed and save them as String. My question, how can I create a Color object with the color Attribute from the XML file?
Is it better if I define my XML file like this:

<type>Content Relation</type>
<color>
<red>255</red>
<green>255</green>
<blue>255</blue>
</color>
<active>true</active>
</group>

IMO attributes are much easier to parse then textnodes

Error when creating BufferedImage with IndexColorModel from a byte array.

Hi, I have a 1-dimentional byte array and an IndexColorTable, and I can't figure out how to combine the 2 into an BufferedImage without unnecessary copying/reallocating of the image buffer.
The color model I have is:
int [] cmap = new int [numColors];
cmap[i++] = 0xffa0f000; /etc.

I've was looking at some example code (http://javaalmanac.com/egs/java.awt.image/Mandelbrot2.html?l=rel), and can't figure out how to go from the color model they're using to the one I have (the 8 bit one specified above). When I replace the 4bit colormodel in the code below with the 8bit color model specified above, I get the following error:

When I try to make a MD-form, where the base-table for the detail contains a column with a BLOB-datatype. I get following error when I finish creation of the form.
Error: Exception from wwv_generate_component.build_procedure (WWV-01821)
Error creating module: ORA-01403: no data found (WWV-16042)
When I use the table with the BLOB as master or in a form, it works fine.
Has anyone else experienced this problem? Or knows a way to fix or work around it. Thanks in advance.

Any sample code that I have seen for creating a new document requires that the file (the content) of the document resides on the Server machine.
What is the best way to create a document with content that comes from a remote file?

The Java code which is trying to load a file into IFS must have access to the file to load it.
If the file you are trying to load is in a remote location from the Java code, then you would need to use some remote access protocol, such as NFS, to ensure the file was accessible to the Java code.

Script that create Layerset with name from layer?

This should be easy for someone who know whet is doing so not me:P
I want script to automatically create layerset from each selected layer, name it as that layer and place that layer in it
I found old script that do that but only normal layer not linked or embeded, and I want to do it for all selected layers not only to one
Can someone modify it a little to work little better? I have no idea how to do it and probably would take me like thousands hours or more

You could remove the line
if(doc.activeLayer.kind != LayerKind.NORMAL) return;
But it would only work with one selected Layer (and also on selected LayerSets).
To handle more than one selected Layer (or all Layers) some changes would be necessary.

Create package with prompt from other application

Hi Experts!
I need to create a package in the planning application. In the screen selection I need some dimensions of my planning cube and one dimension of the Ownership application. I don't have any problem with the current application dimension, but I need to retrieve the members of INTCO dimension from Ownership because the user should make the selection. Is it possible to create a prompt from other application?

When i try to select one member of INTCO dimension it appear the following message: "Dimension INTCO is not found". BPC is not finding this dimension because it pertain to another application.

Creating Comp With Timecode from Imported Footage

Hi,
I know that if i import a MTS file and drop that on the comp icon it will create a new comp with the comp start and end time to match the MTS's embedded timecode.
However in script how can i do this?
I can create the comp. I can import the layers. I can tell the duration from the imported layer, but i don't seem to be able to get the start time for the layer, nor set the start time for the comp.
I'd really appreciate some pointers here, i have thousands of files to script!

Reading embeded timecode of video files is not supported via scripting as far as I know.
You can set a comp start time by using the "displayStartTime" attribute:
Pg. 54 of the cs6 scripting guide

The time set as the beginning of the composition, in seconds. This is the equivalent of the Start Timecode or Start Frame setting in the Composition Settings dialog box.

You can also set the starttime of a layer by using the "startTime" attribute:

This might be a stupid question .. I have the following method:

Creating mails with attachments from flat text files

Hello XI community-
we need to send emails containing attachments via the email adapter. The input comes from a flat ascii file.
The source file contains the message body, receiver and one or more lines that have to be converted into one or more (text) attachments.
As far as I know, the mail adapter can create attachments only from SOAP attachments.
Does anybody know a way to create SOAP attachments from the message payload?

Error when create JLabel with ImageIcon from server

When I run applet that contain JLabel(String, ImageIcon, int) from server I get follow error: "java.security.AccessControlException: access denied (java.io.FilePermission middle-1.gif read)". .gif-file and .class-file are located in the same directory. From local disk this applet run successfully. Who can help me?

Look at the docs for Applet class, and use getImage()
from there. Running in browser is quite different
than to run locally...
Better yet to pack image and classes in jar file,
and read from there with getResourceAsStream()
( search forums, there were examples )
