Create Maintenance Request - Simple Sample provided by SAP
Hi!
I'm testing Create Maintenance Request Sample at
[Create Maintenance Request, Simple sample|http://esworkplace.sap.com/socoview(bD1lbiZjPTAwMSZkPW1pbg==)/render.asp?packageid=DE0426DD9B0249F19515001A64D3F462&id=A644A34757114FBEBB64A28BB7ABE2BF]
In the "Resources" section of this page I press "Run this sample" and at the first step (Enter data), when I press 'Next' with the default Equipment (10000461) I get the following errors:
1 - Backend function, IndividualMaterialByIDQueryResponse_In.IndividualMaterialByIDQueryResponse_In not found
2 - Error occured while executing the service: null
I can see the Equipment 10000461 in the SAP ES Workspace ( ERP 6.0 - System ID: HU2, TCode: IE03)
Thanks for your help,
Best Regards,
Carlos Duarte
HI,
I have the same issue with other Simple Sample apps.
Kind regards,

Crystal report : can't add table in the samples provided by SAP
Hello,
I tried to add tables in the generic samples provided by SAP. I used the database expert and just added a new table but when I save the report in SAP and want to run it it is blank.
Is there another way to add a table ?
BRAlready tried all those tricks!
My question is concerning the standard layouts provided by SAP (downloaded from marketplace). The idea behind those reports is that you can use them as Templates.
The tables are not hardcoded with the table.field name but with a specific syntax that allows you to use those templates in any type of document (ex : you can use the template of sales order for delivery and invoices). The problem is that if you add a new table the report doesn't work!
Thank you for the response anyway.
Best Regards,

These are all in EA-PLM
ILM_UI 'Basic Maintenance Processing: User Interface'
RPLM_QIMT 'Quality Inspector and Maintenance Technician Roles'
EAM_SIMPL'Simplification Project in Enterprise Asset Management'
I can find portal business packages for iViews, but I'm looking for the Web Dynpro ABAP applications. Are there any more?
Thanks!Wow! Thank you guys for the quick response and pointing me in the right direction!
Altenbach, your example does exactly what I need!
Moving forward I should be able to reference the actual total torque number from the call by reference subvi and have the event structure initiate based on the change of that number correct?
I tried something like this already and for some reason when I add a terminal to the terminal pane on the subvi it does not show up on the main vi. I can only imagine this is because the sub vi is "call by reference". The subvi already outputs an indicator to the front panel of the main vi called "total torque". This is inside a case structure so I don't know how to reference it for the subvi which you created.
Again, I just want to say I am very thankful I am for the help. I am not here looking for free programming help. I am here asking questions because I truly want to learn. I know I will have to spend a lot more time reading tutorials and practicing basics. This program was just given to me last minute and I'm doing my best. Usually I am very resourceful and can find solutions on my own. This one was just over my head. Thank you.

Creating a Composite Provider in SAP BW 7.3 on HANA
Hi All,
We are currently on SAP BW 7.31 SP8 on HANA and would like to ask if you guys can provide some guides on how to create a simple Composite Provider in our current BW version.
I tried creating the object through RSLIMO / RSLIMOBW. But in the right panel of the screen which is supposed to show the list of available info providers is somehow disabled (see attached screenshot - error_CompositeInfo.jpg) and I couldn't choose any infoproviders to drag it to be used.
Any particular steps that needs to be carried out prior to this? Appreciate your help.
Thanks very much,
JeffreyHi Prado,

GNHi GN,
You have different options to create messages in test component SV-SMG-SUP-TST:
1. if you are on 7.1 you can create message using CRM_UI
2. If you are using lower vrsion then either you can create message using Workcenter or using transaction NOTIF_CREATE or using menu --> Help --> Create support message.

Hi All,

Please help me
SAP HCM LearnerWhen you say you're having trouble "opening" the BPM Object, is it possible you instead mean you're having trouble expanding the BPM Object?
Just a guess, but if you're having trouble expanding the BPM Object I'd suspect that the object's xcdl contents might be corrupted. You might want to consider exporting and saving a backup of the project and then try deleting the object from the Project Navigator. Rebuild the BPM Object once you've deleted it.

Annual Maintenance Contract for Equipment Pieces in SAP
Hi All,
I am aware of the standard SAP function of Service Procurement.
However my requirement is as follows:-
1.I want to create a 'F' Account Assigned service Purchase order (Annual Maintenance Contract) with a option in the PO screen to enter equipment numbers. On saving the PO,dynamically a Maintenance order should get created with the equipment pieces in the object List.
2.The P.O number of AMC should get dynamically populated in the equipment master view for the equipment pieces mentioned in the AMC.
3.During Notification or Maintenance order creation,I want to use the OIK(Object Information Key) or any other pop-up screen for information regarding the AMC PO Number with validity period.
4.During Service entry preparation want to put the equipment number, for which AMC activity has been performed.
5.Finally want to generate a report to display the equipment pieces for which AMC activity got missed.
Request all to provide a solution for this as all maintenance services have been hired for my equipment pieces and I want to utilize all the standard SAP reports.
Thanks and Regards,
SujoyDear Sujoy,
If you exactly require the same way what you have written, it would be a product development and not recomended.
Follow the cycle described below.
1. Create a Contract with F & D (Services & Assigned to Maint Order).
2. Create all required Equipment.
3. Create Equipment Task List with External Operation Control Key and assign the Contract Number for each Opeartion. (Service values from contract will not be updated Automatically, either update manually or do a development for this part).
4. Create Maintenance Plans an dinclude the Task Lists.
5. Orders are generated with PR's with reference to Contract.
6. Let them release monthly or fortnightly PO's.
7. On Submission of Service report, create SES and release.
In this way you will have complete Maintenance History with cost & control.
Hope this might be useful to you.

123 ENDFUNCTION.Hi,
You said you are trying to do this stuff in IDES right.
If you are using IDES provided by a company and where many people play on IDES, then you can get many such issues...
This is by our experience. Today you do something in IDES and tommorow that thing or config is screwed up by others.
If you have your own IDES, then check the suggestion given by the forum Guru's.

Create transport request based on SDMI transaction type
Hello,
a customer of mine intends to use transaction type SDMI in a kind of unusual way. He only creates SDMIs without creating projects, cycles or change requests in ChaRM. He uses a customized copy of the normal correction to track his changes and now needs to activate the functionality to create transport requests as an auditor requirement.
As I'm not proficient in ChaRM, I would like to know if that is at all possible.
Assuming it is possible, what would be the preferences to use action "Create Transport Request" regarding IBase etc.?
Assuming it is not possible, what would be necessary as a minimum to establish the link to the respective system in which the transport request should be created to get that action working, a maintenance cycle? How is the maintenance cycle linked to the ticket?
That are a lot of questions, and it would be highly appreciated if somebody could lighten up the fog there for me.
Thank you in advance!
Kind regards,
EmanuelHi,
1) Do I need to perform any steps in the task list before ChaRM can be used?
No once task list is in active state and sdmn is created for ur project u can start using charms
2) How is the maintenance cycle ticket (SDMN) linked to the change requests? Is this linkage done in the SDCR ticket via the maintenance project in the "Customer fields", where solution, maintenance project etc. can be assigned? Or is this implicitly done by the chosen IBase?
Yes everything is dependent on IBASE and logical component.

i following the simple sample documentation an define and configure the ERP and ERP_META Destinations on the nwds and our local sap nw ce system.
also i do the future steps which was described (service registry, proxy settings, ...).
on page 16 of the simple sample documetation is defined which Sofware Component has dependencies to other SC´s.
the SC "BPEM_BUILDT" depends on the SC "ESMP_BUILDT" and "COMP_BUILDT", the SC "COMP_BUILT" doesnt exist on my nwds (7.1 ehp1 sp0).
has everybody any idea why the SC "COMP_BUILT" not exist on my nwds???
still this absent SC i can deploy the bpm simple sample successful to our sap nw ce system.
now i do the post deployment steps for the bpm samples.
after this i call the simple sample application on my sap nw ce portal and can execute the "Initiate Equipment Phase In Process".
now i can see a new entry on my uwl, i open the uwl task.
at step 1, 2, 3 i change no data an click next, after step 3 (create equipment) i get the following error:

I understand that I need to configured the Metadata Dictionary type for the RFC. For this, I need to configure the Message Server properties (for load balancing).
But my Basis guy told me that CRM is an application server, so we only can configured with application server properties. Is this true? (I really doubt it) That is no Message Server connection to CRM system now.
If it is true, how can I create a RFC connection to CRM system?
Thanks for help.
