Create own views in the Fact Sheet

Hi Forum,
I am trying to create my own views in the fact sheet.
for instance open opportunities,closed oppportunities,open leads,closed leads... w.r.t a particular BP.
plz guide how this can be achieved.

Hi Lucas,
In order to create your own views in the fact sheet follow the above steps:
spro  CRM  Master Data  Business Partner  Business Partner Cockpit and fact Sheet.
Make the settings in Define Info blocks and views by first maintaining the info blocks. Then go to View definitions and assign info blocks.
Before creating you Info block you have to create your own class and then register this class in CRMC_CCKPT_IOREG table in order to see it in the fact sheet list.

Include or create a view in the database and use this view?

Well, I need to get related data of the main table from another related tables, so one way to do that is to use the Include method in Entity Framework to get this related data.
However, I am thinking in another option, create a view in the database and use this view in entity framework. In this way, I avoid the needed of the include, because I think that is expensive in resources. But I am no very sure about that.
I would like to know if the use of views on entity framework is a good idea to improve the performace or is better to use the include.
For example, if I use the include I have the advantage that I get only one the main record and all the related data I have in the navigation properties, so the info is more shorted.
Which is the advanteges and disadvantages of both methods to get related data in entity framework?

If your view would use a Join syntax to query master-child relationship tables, it actually is similar with the Include() method which actually results a duplicate records from master table, you could check this

One visible difference is that records from Views are not editable by default(if you want edit them, you could refer to this
blog).
In your case, my suggestion that you could use the lazying load which will load the matter table once and disable the trace if you only need to display data.

is there any alternate of DISTINCT because I can not refresh the MV as fast on demand if I am using it and Fast on Demand is a must for me.

I'll be picky here on nomenclature ;-)
Tables and other Obects can be locked, but Sheets can't be locked.
If you wish to shield some parts of your content from accidental modification, arrange your layout to put that sensitive content in tables separate from the tables that need to be accessed, and lock the sensitive ones. It's also possible, but rather clunky, to place shields over the sensitive area. A shield can be made by Inserting a Shape and positioning the shape over the sensitive area. With the shape selected, go to the Graphics Inpector and set the Opacity of the shape to zero. You will then be able to see through the shape but will no be able to Click through it to get at the cells below. This method is inconvenient because you have to worry about keeping the shape aligned with the table should the table need to change size or shape.

Creating filtered view on the physical layer ussing session variable USER

Hi:
I´m creating a view on the physical layer, the view needs to be created dynamically. So depending on the user (using the session variable USER) the view is created with the data a particular user is able to see.
Fisrt I imported the table and changed it´s properties to be created through a "Select Statement" so i don´t needed to change the mapping on the bussiness model layer.
The consistency check was OK but i´m not able to see data in answers, even using the Administrator user. Have anyone tried to do this? Here is my query.

whay not use the same filter in the content tab of the logical table source?
check the physical sql sent to databse using web-admin-manage sessions-view log and see if there is any unexpected behavior. also run the same query in db and see iff you get the results in databse itself.

The above table STUDENT_DETAILS stores the details of all the students and each student has a unique student id.
Another table PAYMENT_HEADER saves the payment details as a document for each month which has a header id.
In the PAYMENT_DETAILS table, payment details are stored for the students (who made the payment for that month). This table does not save the data for a student if he has not paid on that month. This table is connected to the PAYMENT_HEADER table through a header Id.
The view should be such that when I pass the document number, it shall show the names of all the students, but shall show payment amount only for those students who had paid under the selected document number, for other it should show null.
I tried the following query:

My requirement is that, every time I use a document number in the where clause for the view it should show the paid amount against the student names who has paid on that month and for all other student it should null. I shall create separate tables and insert the desired output from the view for each where clause.

Create a view in the database based off a jdbc connection

I have some data in a DB2 database that I would like to union with a table in an Oracle Database in the Oracle Database.
Can I create a jdbc connection in the Oracle database that points to the DB2 database and then create a view based off of the jdbc connection?
I've never done anything like this , but if this a no brainer please just post a link or something that points me in the right direction thanks...

How to create own attributes in the graph.xml of 10g Reports

Hi,
Iam using 10g reports. Iam recreating the graphs in 10g which were created in Graphics builder earlier. While doing that I found lot of features are missing in 10g reports charts wizard. It has only limited number of Graph types when compared to the Graphics builder. Like there is no Curve graph in 10g. The available are Line, Bar and Area. So how can I draw a curve instead of line? 10g Legend looks very ugly. There is lot of space between the values. Is there anyway that I can add my own attributes in the graph.xml and register in the reports?

10g reports charts wizard. It has only limited number of Graph types when compared to the Graphics builderThat may not be exactly true.
10g Graph Wizard supports 11 major graph types, and 47 sub-types
While 6i Graphics Builder supported 5 major graph types and 35 graph sub-types
There are differences between 6i Graphics and 10g Graph Wizard, so certain things you might have been able to do in 6i may not be entirely possible in 10g. Is there anyway that I can add my own attributes in the graph.xml and register in the reports?This will not be possible, however, you should take a look at the complete list of elements and their attributes that is exposed in Graph.dtd - you can then choose the attributes you want, and add them to your Report's Graph.xml:

Creating classification view for the material

hi friends,
i need to create a material with various views (as in MM03) based on the material type.
i am using BAPI_MATERIAL_SAVEDATA for it.
i am able to create almost all the views except the the classification view for the material.
can anyone help me with code (i need to write) to create a classification view for the material?

How to create XMLTYPE View from the XMLType table

Hi:
I have a large XML file and inserted to the XMLTYPE table
For the XQUERY purpose I would like to create XMLView of the table.
The examples I got from Oracle to create XML view are for small files.
Can some one help me how to create XMLType VIEW for large XML Files ( 20,000 lines )?

How to download the pivot view to the excel sheet with all features

Using discoverer, my co-worker is able to download the pivot view to excel sheet with all enabled features, like pivot table in excel.
Is this can be done in obiee? if this feature is present in obiee, plz will you explain me how to do in obiee? its urgent.

I don't think BI office plug-in supports you the pivot table features of MS Excel.
Even if you import a pivot table from BI, it is rather treated just as a table in Excel

I need a further function which is not already implemented and available in the decision maker of the process chains. But I do not know how to implement a new function.
Please give me some help!!!!!

What does the new function need to do?
You may have to create a new process type. There are a few white papers and blogs about different ways of doing this. Needs ABAP knowledge however.

I am new to creating actions, I have crated a design I am happy with and I want to recreate it easily with an action. The design uses multiple stages and filters, so its a real pain to retrace steps. Is there a quick way to create an action set without having to go through all steps again ???

Check 'History log' - In General Preferences at the bottom of the panel. It won't make your action automatically, but it will give you a step by step text file of how you made your masterpiece.

Hi,
Create the fact sheet views that you want to include in the component workbench.
Under UI framework def>factsheet> assign these views to a fact sheet.
Then these views are then displayed in Available Fact Sheet Views in the fact sheet configuration using bsp_dlc_fs component within the component workbench.
Select the created view as one of the tile in factsheet.
