    Thank you MrHoffman for joining my discussion.
    The most time I use registration profile to add clients to profile manager so I don't know exactly the time when this problem occured.
    Could it be possible that the current issue is a result of running some of these commands:
    (I was involed in this big problem: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/5471963?start=60&tstart=0 )
    sudo psql -U _devicemgr -d devicemgr_v2m0 -h /Library/Server/ProfileManager/Config/var/PostgreSQL -c "UPDATE devices SET last_update_info_time = dm_current_timestamp() + '1 month'"
    sudo psql -U _devicemgr -d devicemgr_v2m0 -h /Library/Server/ProfileManager/Config/var/PostgreSQL -c "ALTER TABLE devices ALTER COLUMN last_update_info_time SET DEFAULT dm_current_timestamp() + '1  month'"
    ALTER TABLE
    I'm not good known to postgreSQL and I have already enrolled about ~100 Devices. I really dont like to wipe the current database and start from scratch again.
    Please help me ... ;(. Can I run some commands for you, to give you more information what went wrong in my database to fix this?
    best,
    /Patrick

  • How to create placeholder garphics with unique filenames shown as text?

    I need to create quite a few placeholder graphics, which are all the same
    size and background colour, and which show the filename of the graphic as
    text in the graphic. Later each will be replaced.
    I have the filename list but am not sure how I would automate this process?

    There is already a Script for that. AddFileName and AddFileName Plus Date. If they are not in your Scripts folder alreagy, they are available on the Adobe Exchange I believe.

  • Best way to create placeholder frames for XML import

    This is my first attempt at importing XML into ID (CS2), my client has given me an Access database that includes about 150 records that include several fields of data, including an image file and a few brief paragraphs of descriptive text.
    The goal is to have each record occupy a page in the layout.
    My goal is to set up one initial page with a placeholder frame or frames and have ID automatically duplicate for all the records. And that's my question...do I create multiple frames, one for each field in the database, or do I create one frame and just tag various elements within the single frame?
    If I create multiple frames, I'm thinking I would have to copy/paste the group onto each new page (or am I wrong?)
    If I create one single master frame, then InDesign would just consider all the content one story and automatically create as many threaded frames as are needed--right?
    The other consideration is that the field containing the descriptive text will vary in length with each record and I want to make sure that there aren't inconsistent spacing issues happening, as would probably be the case if I created a unique frame for the descriptive text.
    I hope I'm being clear...would somebody who's done this type of thing before please advise me on the best way to set up my placeholders?
    Thanks so much.

    Hi,
    You can use Web Dynpro or Visual Composer for designing UI for your CA.
    1) WebDynPro Callable Object that implements GP Interface.
    You can use Web Dynpro Component CO to use a single Web Dynpro component in your GP Activity.
    4) Create a WebDynPro Application Callable Object :This is for entire Web Dynpro Application(multiple components).
    2) Consume the Application services(exposed as web services) in WebDynPro app :
    3) Creating a WebDynPro Model for the CAF Services.
    For example, in updating operations first we have to get the existing data from Database.For getting this data you can use application services in your Web Dynpro component.Later expose this WD component as CO insert in a GP activity.
    For creating operations, you can use Web Service CO(Application Service)  directly in GP Activity.

  • Create Placeholder for Rotating Image Link

    Hello,
    The other day I created some rotating banner ads on my site thanks to the fantastic help I received on this forum.
    Once thing I notice on my site is that when the banner ads switch the spacing on the page shifts so that the text/jpgs that are below the ads bounces around.
    I was wondering if anyone knows a way that I can create a placeholder to contain the banner ads so that the other content would stay put?
    Thank you so much for any help that you can provide.
    Glenn
    My website is - www.glennbartley.com
    The code I inserted is:
    <a id="bannerid" href="photoworkshops/Workshops/Manitoba-Churchill.htm"><img src="naturephotography/Banner Ads/BannerAdd-Churchill2014.jpg" /></a>
    <script language="JavaScript">
    <!--
    function random_imglink(){
    var myimages=new Array()
    var mylinks=new Array()
    //specify random images below. You can have as many as you wish
    myimages[1]="naturephotography/Banner Ads/BannerAdd-Churchill2014.gif"
    mylinks[1]="photoworkshops/Workshops/Manitoba-Churchill.htm"

    mylinks[7]="http://www.glennbartley.com/naturephotography/articles/Gallery%20-%20AllTimeFavourites.htm l"
    myimages[8]="naturephotography/Banner Ads/BannerAdd-Peru2014.gif"
    mylinks[8]="photoworkshops/Workshops/Peru.html"
    myimages[9]="naturephotography/Banner Ads/BannerAdd-VanIsl2014.gif"
    mylinks[9]="http://www.glennbartley.com/photoworkshops/Workshops/VancouverIsland.htm"
    var ry=Math.floor(Math.random()*myimages.length)
    if (ry==0)
    ry=1
    document.getElementById('bannerid').innerHTML='<img src="'+myimages[ry]+'">';
    document.getElementById('bannerid').href= mylinks[ry];
    var imageloop=setInterval(function(){random_imglink()},5500);
    //-->
    </script>

    The anti-right click script you have is useless. If someone can see your images in their browser, they are already downloaded to their computer. Taking away the right click function will not stop them from taking the images if they are so inclined and it is supremely annoying. If you want to protect your photos, use a watermark that is difficult to remove from the image instead.
    You have some errors in your code that are being caused by having things out of place. Run your page through the validator at http://validator.w3.org so you can clean those up.
    As for the shifting issue, that is being caused by the container of the images going empty for a moment and shrinking it's height. Set the height of that container in the css to an appropriate number and it should stop.
    Something like...
    #bannerid {
         height:50px;
    Set it to whatever the height of the banners is and it should fix the problem.

  • Creating placeholder boxes for images?

    I'm trying to work on a newsletter idea for someone, but I'm running into a small, but big issue with Pages. In InDesign, I can create an image box, size it, then place the image later. Have I missed something, or does Pages lack this capability? I'm currently working with '09, so it might have been added in a later version, but since this is the only thing I'm using it for, I don't want to buy the next version unless I absolutely have to.

    Yes, you can create image placeholders. If you look at the included templates, almost every image is a placeholder. Insert an image, any image, in your document & then select it & resize it if you want. Now go to Format > Advanced > Define as Media Placeholder. You can then drag & drop any image which will be resized to fit.

  • Create placeholder - photoshop to indesign

    How do I create a placeholder in Photoshop CS2 to be able to open in Indesign CS2 and place a jpeg image in the "path" created within the layers so the shadows overlap the imported image?

    morrowdesign wrote:
    Thank you so much for replying. In my attempts to figure this out myself, I did paste the psd file into Indesign.
    Do not paste! place (command +D) the file in InDesign.
    What I could not figure out is how to select the vector file or path that I created in Photoshop so I could place an image into it. What I am creating is a templet of sorts and I need to be able to change the pictures out easily and quickly.
    The layer of the vector file or path is below another layer in Photoshop that has a shadow. I want the shadow to be over the image imported. Does that make sense?
    Thanks for any help you can give me.
    Sherri
    select the path in ID. but why  use paths just place another transparent shadow over it.

  • Getting  error while creating placeholder column

    i have created the code for placeholder in the following way:
    in before i have specified:
    function before report return boolean is
    begin
    if :dno=10 then
    :cp_job:='manager';
    elsif :dno=20 then
    :cp_job:='salesman';
    end if;
    return(true);
    end;after executing i got the following error:     rep-fatal plsql error eccoured
    ora-6502-numeric or value error

    okay. and what is the type and length of cp_job?
    when i get that error, it is usually because the variable is the wrong type, or if it is the right type, then the length may be too short.
    when do you see the error? when you compile the trigger or when you run the report?

  • Placeholder smartshapes as buttons?

    In Captivate 7 is there a way to be able to create Placeholder Smart Shapes as buttons on master slides so that advanced actions can be attached to them? I can see that you can do it with Standard Objects, but the 'Use as button' option doesn't seem to be there with Placeholder Objects. I'd like to be able to create flexible master slides with advanced actions linked into objects which team members can then layout themselves e.g. move button areas around the screen. If I do this using Standard Objects, the buttons can't be moved. Thanks!

    Thanks, Lilybiri. I'm beginning to see why you wouldn't use placeholders.The problem with using standard objects on master slides is that you can't then edit the objects (inlcuding changing the shape) or move them around in slides derived from them. I'm now experimenting with the use of template projects  where I create my screen interaction tempates with associated advanced actions as actual slides, but linked to the master slides for styling only.

  • What's the functional difference between placeholder text and regular text?

    When inserting text into a project template that I'm creating, what's the difference between inserting regular text (using the Caption tool) and inserting placeholder text?
    There's an obvious difference between inserting an image and an image placeholder, but when I use a project template that I've created, placeholder text and caption text behave the same way: I see the text on the stage, and double-click it to edit. So why go through the extra step of inserting placeholder text?

    Textbooks are educational books for use in schools and universities and the like. They are currently avaiable for purchase only in the USA. Textbooks have different contract clauses applied to them. Among them is an obligation on the publisher to offer textbooks that are sold in electronic form via other distributors in the iBookstore as well. Textbooks also have different (much lower) pricing tiers, and they must be made available via the bulk purchasing program. Textbooks must be authored with IBA (they cannot be ePub). I believe that textbooks also undergo a more stringent review process.
    Normal eBooks (not in the textbook category) can currently be sold in 32 territories (US, Canada, Australia, and most of Europe), and their pricing tiers provide for much higher prices.
    There is no difference in the widgets you can use in normal books and textbooks. The same widget set that is provided by IBA applies to both. In addition, a normal eBook can be published in ePub format and, therefore, authored with software other than IBA.
    Books can contain audio and video and, yes, iBooks Author allows you to create such books.

  • How to change the message in a cell of a ssrs report to a hyperlink dynamically

    Hi,
    I am developing a ssrs report.
    I want to change the message to hyperlink for a particular message and not all messages of a column.
    and link it to another report.
    for e.g-if a cell of the column has values A,B,C then I want to change only cell with values C as hyperlinks and not A and B

    Hi fanu987,
    According to your description that you want to conditional add the hyperlink according to different values in the fields, the link is to another report, right?
    I have tested on my local environment and we have two method to do this: one method is to choose ”Go to report” and add expression to conditional add the link which will link to the subreport for the special values, another method is to create
    an placeholder and add the HTML tag to conditional hyperlink to the URL of the Subreport in the Report Server.
    Details information for your reference:
    Method one: "Go to Report":
    Right click the fields which will add the hyperlink and select the “Textbox Properties”, click the “Font” to add expression conditional add an underline for ”Text1” which have the hyperlink function and change its color to blue. (expression add to
    "Effect" and "color"):
    Effect:
    =IIF(Fields!YourHyperlinkFields.Value="Text1","Underline","default")
    Color:
    =IIF(Fields!YourHyperlinkFields.Value="Text1","Blue","Black")
    Click "Action" to select the "Go to Report" and using this expression in the "Select a report from the list" (If the value is "Text1" then link to Subreport  or it will just refresh on the main report):
    =IIF(Fields!YourHyperlinkFields.Value="Text1","SubreportName","mainReportName")
    If have parameter delivery between main report and the subreport, add expression to omit this parameter for the fields which value is not "Text1":
    =IIF(Fields!YourHyperlinkFields.Value="Text1",false,true)
    Method two: Create Placeholder and using the HTML tags to conditional  add the hyperlink which will link to the subreport URL in the Report Manager.
    Double click the fields which will add the hyperlink and select the "Create Placeholder".
    In the Placeholder properties window, add this expression in the Value to add hyperlink only to the "Text1" and check the "HTML- interpret HTML tags as style under the "Markup type" section:
    =IIF(Fields!YourHyperlinkFields.Value="Text1", "<a href=""Subreport Link in the Report Manager"">" & Fields!YourHyperlinkFields & "</a>" ,Fields!YourHyperlinkFields.Value)
    You can also add parameter in the URL if you have parameter delivery between main report and the subreport. Finally preview will have the report like below:
    If you still have any problem, please provide us more details information.
    Any problem, please feel free to ask!

  • Can I choose which programs or apps upload data to iCloud?

    My iCloud account tells me that my 5GB are full (that's right from the start when I updated the software to iOS5 :-S) Well, I noticed that there are actually just a few apps that I would want to make data backups for in iCloud. Can I choose which programs use that function? The only option I found so far is to turn the data backup function off or on, for ALL the apps. But I only want to use it for a FEW ones! Is this supported in iOS5??
    PS. How come it gets full so quickly? The programs that uses most data (Hipstamatic for example) use only barely 0,5GB. So what I can see the 5GB shouldn't be full yet. What have I missed?

    I think starting from the second home screen, the new app will be placed in the first available space. If this is the case, you would be able to control the placement manually by making sure your landing screen has empty icon slots and all previous screens, with the exception of the first one, have all of the icon slots occupied. I did run across an app that seemed like it would allow the user to create placeholder icons on the home screens but I can not think of the keywords to pull it up now. There are several icon creators/enhancers that may do the same thing. You can use one of these apps or use the Safari button to Add to Home Screen, to fill up the screens. You could even use a folder to store and deploy your screen filler icons. It seems like it would be more trouble than it's worth but I do have my home screens assigned for different roles. Hopefully Apple will continue to refine the user interface.

  • Reset Text Wrap and Object Placement defaults?

    Using Pages 5.5.2 (w Yosemite).
    Wondering if there's any way to set a default preference for the Text Wrap and Object Placement parameters in the Format > Arrange tab?
    For example, more often than not I need to have Text Wrap set to "None", rather than "Automatic".  I was at least hoping that once I'd set a particular object to "None", any new objects I created or which were dragged into that same document would inherit that same Text Wrap setting (in much the same way that any new drop shadow setting becomes the new default when applying the drop shadow effect to subsequent selections). But even THAT doesn't seem to be the case with the Text Wrap & Object Placement options -- much less being able to reset a new global preference.
    Any suggestions (which still involve using Pages 5.5.2) appreciated.
    Thanks,
    John B

    just discovered a related topic: when importing images in Pages, how do I set the default object placement to "stay on page" and "no text wrap"?
    But that thread ends up going in a slightly different direction, since having to create placeholder shapes, and then duplicating (+ individually repositioning) same, for almost every time I dragged an image into a Pages doc would actually be MORE work than the current annoyance of having to reset the Text Wrap setting for most new objects.
    I just want a way to set a global preference for that adjustment -- or at least a preference to have all new objects start off with the same Text Wrap (and Object Placement) settings as the last ones used.
    Possibility?  Or Feature Request?

  • Insert a link on xml report. The link should open up a document(PDFS).

    Is it possible to insert a link in the report? The value would come from a sql query. The link when clicked on would open up the pdf or doc.
    Is this done thru a href or by inserting a dynamic hyper link.
    The release Release 5.6.2 documentation references how to insert a hyperlink. NOt sure if this will work for me.
    I tried it but in the documentation it states:
    >
    If your input XML data includes an element that contains a hyperlink or part of
    one, you can create dynamic hyperlinks at runtime. In the Type the file or Web page
    name field of the Insert Hyperlink dialog box, enter the following syntax:
    {URL_LINK}
    where URL_LINK is the incoming data element name.
    >
    However the dialog box I am getting when I insert the hyperlink does not have a place to enter the element name. That is, there is no 'TYPE the file or Web page' area that I can see.

    hi ashalon,
    I did it this way in MS Word.
    1. create placeholder for value
    2. highlight it and make it a hyperlink
    3. enter the url into the address line
    So If you have a complete hyperlink in xml element URL_LINK you just have to enter {URL_LINK} into the address line. If you have only a part of the link, i.e only a product name, you can enter "http://www.oracle.com?product={PRODUCT_NAME}".
    Hope this helps.

  • Subforms not working correctly

    I ran into a issue where I can not get my subforms to work correctly. Created placeholder, created two sub forms with only one text box in each. Set both subforms to invisable, then set y axis to match placeholder subform. Used action builders to show one sub form when radio button is clicked. set placeholder and other subform to invisable. Went to preview clicked radio button. Nothing appeared. I am clueless as to what is wrong. Have done this before without issue.
    HELP!!!!!

    That worked by just starting a new form I could get the subform function to work. The orginal form I was working on was static and I guess saving it as dynamic XML does not change it. Or at least it seems to not have. Good news I was not that far into it. Easy rebuild on the form that is not accepting the subform commands.
    Just wish I knew what I had done to create the issue and how to correct it if I do it again. Dang ghost in the machine.
    Thanks for your assistance.
