Create schema command error

Hi,
I tried to execute the following statement but was given the error.
1 CREATE SCHEMA AUTHORIZATION ashish
2 CREATE TABLE paint
3 (paint_id NUMBER PRIMARY KEY,
4 paint_size NUMBER,
5 colour VARCHAR2(10) )
6* GRANT select ON paint TO ashish
SQL> /
CREATE SCHEMA AUTHORIZATION painter
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-02421: missing or invalid schema authorization identifier
What is the error in this statement for not alllowing me to crate the schema?
This is 11g database.
Thanks,
Aashish

  • Desired change to CREATE SCHEMA

    Create Schema command allows multiple create table, create view and grant statements to be grouped together so that if one fails, none of them are actioned. This is excellent for "production release" scripts, as it means that we don't have to back out those changes that worked before re-running the corrected script.
    However, a lot of our database changes are of the "ALTER TABLE ADD" or "ALTER TABLE MODIFY" these days, since we have tables for all our logical objects. I'd dearly love these commands to be added to CREATE SCHEMA (or some similar command) so that they could also be "rolled back" in a group.
    Am I crazy or would this be useful to others?

    I have to say though that the CREATE SCHEMA command looks rather limited to me in general - no CREATE INDEX, no CREATE PROCEDURE and so on. The wording in the docs
    The CREATE SCHEMA statement supports the syntax of these statements only as defined by standard SQL, rather than the complete syntax supported by Oracle Database
    rather suggests to me that this a compatibility only statement rather than an actively developed one (which is a shame).

  • Error in Creating schema

    Hi,
    I'm trying to install Oracle webcenter poratl by following the below linked mentioned
    As per the guide am trying to create schema,, am getting the error mentioned below
    Error: Oracle Initialization Parameter 'PROCESSES' is too low.
    Cause: The Oracle Initialization Parameter 'PROCESSES' must be at least 200.
    Action: Change the Database Initialization Parameter 'PROCESSES' to 200 or more, then rerun RCU.
    I changed the processes=200 in init.ora file & restarted the DB 11g..
    Still facing the same error while creating schema.
    Any one familiar with this kinda issue.
    Thanks,
    AR

    Hi ,
    Please check the output of the following sql command :->
    SQL>show parameter process;
    Check if Value for processes is more than desired value.
    If using spfile , you can change it as :->
    SQL>ALTER SYSTEM SET processes=300 SCOPE=SPFILE;
    Thanks

  • Schema validation error at startup

    Configuration:

    I can't find the schema 'http://www.bea.com/ns/wlp/90/security/wsrp.xsd' neither on the web nor the jars supplied with the product.
    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi, I think you may be missing the binding-file.xml that should be in your mbean jar which should be in your WL_HOME/server/lib/mbeantypes/...
    I am having similar problem and I get this error if I replace the 9.2 MBean jar (generated with MakeMBean) with 8.1 version. The 9.2 MakeMBean utility seems to bundle a bunch of additional jaxb binding files into the jar (xsb, binding-file.xml, *BeanImpl etc). Optionally you can run an 8.1 MBean through the 'weblogic.Upgrade -type securityprovider', this will convert your authentication mbean jar to 9.2 which also includes above mentioned files.
    Once you have an MBean jar, generated with the 9.2 MakeMBean you will probably get a similar error in that the startup will fail with error below: If you know how to fix this please let me know as I have spent a day on this with no luck.
    ...config.xml - C:\...\mydomain\<unknown>:16:9: error: fail

Schema validation can be disabled by starting the server with the command line option: -Dweblog
    ic.configuration.schemaValidationEnabled=false>
    PS: setting the -Dweblogic.configuration.schemaValidationEnabled=false option only causes the startup to fail as it cannot load the security provider (if this is your default provider I guess?)
    Hope this helps.

  • Create schema with all privileges

    hi
    I am creating Schema using following sql commands  with SYSTEM as user
    Create Schema Live2;
    CREATE COLUMN TABLE "Connections" (
    "memberIdFrom" INTEGER NOT NULL,
    "memberIdTo" INTEGER NOT NULL,
    PRIMARY KEY ("memberIdFrom","memberIdTo")
    Then I goto
    Security-->users-->SYSTEM-->object privileges
    there is not schema Live2 there
    When I add LIVE2 then it's privileges are set to CREATE ANY only
    Why this is happening?
    I think by default user should have all privileges.
    If i try to assign privileges then error exception occurs that Granter and Grantee are identical.

    Hi Khalid,
    Ideally when you execute sql 'create schema <schema_name>' then the logged in user is going to default owner of the schema and you should see that under 'object privileges' of that user.
    The user will have 'create any' privileges which means the user has all the privileges on that schema.
    if you want to check who is owner of the schema in the system, please check 'SCHEMAS' under views in SYS.
    Regards,
    Venkat N.

  • Create Schema

    I understand we can create schemas on HANA Database using this command.
    <Create schema schema_name;>
    My questions is do I need to grant privileges to other user to access this schema? If yes how we can do this?

    Hello,
    by default only schema owner (user that created the schema) has full privileges - other users does not have any privilege..
    You need to grant privileges to other to allow them to work with your schema... Preferred way to to create role, assign all privileges to this role and then grant it to other users.
    You need to decide which privileges you with to grant - see SAP HANA Database - Security Guide for more details
    page 20 - chapter Object Privileges
    http://help.sap.com/hana/hana1_imdb_sec_en.pdf
    Alternative to granting privileges on schema is to grant privileges on object (table) level.
    Be sure to not forget granting SELECT privilege WITH GRANT option to SYSREPO user.
    grant select on schema <SCHEMA> to _SYS_REPO with grant option

  • Create DB Script error

    Hello,
    i am trying to perform my first manual creation of a database. Initially was always receiving error;
    ORA-01092: ORACLE instance terminated. Disconnection forced
    I think this was because the UNDO element in the init.ora file did not match UNDO element in the Create DB script. But now that i think i have them matching i continously receive the error;
    'Invalid Create Command'
    The UNDO element in the init.ora file is;
    undo_tablespace=UNDOTBS
    The Create script is;
    CREATE DATABASE Customers
    USER SYS IDENTIFIED BY CUSTSYS
    LOGFILE GROUP 1 ('F:\oracle\oradata\Customers\redo01.log') SIZE 100M REUSE,
         GROUP 2 ('F:\oracle\oradata\Customers\redo02.log') SIZE 100M REUSE,

    UNDO TABLESPACE UNDOCUST
    DEFAULT TEMPORARY TABLESPACE tempcust_ts;
    Also, when i have created the service for the database using ORADIM the alert log gives the following near the bottom;
    ORA-00202: controlfile: 'F:\oracle\oradata\Customers\CUSTCONTROL01.CTL'
    ORA-27041: unable to open file
    OSD-04002: unable to open file
    O/S-Error: (OS 2) The system cannot find the file specified.
    Thanks in advance

    I just about give up!!!
    Thanks for everyone’s advice, but nothing so far seems to create the database. I could initially create a database with the Database Configuration Assistant no problem but have been asked to learn to create one manually as it supposedly gives better control of the parameters etc.
    I am using Oracle 9i.
    Next here is the undo elements in init file. (I don't think i can put whole init file up)
    undo_management=AUTO
    undo_retention=10800
    undo_tablespace=UNDOTBS1
    I manage to create the database service okay using ORADIM.
    The alert log file is there at this point but with this error at the bottom.
    ORA-00202: controlfile: 'F:\oracle\oradata\Customers\CUSTOMERSCONTROL01.CTL'
    ORA-27041: unable to open file
    OSD-04002: unable to open file

    Tue Aug 22 11:07:51 2006

    Shutting down instance (abort)
    I then attempt to create a password file using ORAPWD;
    But i am given an error at command prompt;
    OPW-00001: Unable to open password file
    I then change ORACLE_SID to the new database.
    I then log onto Oracle as sysdba. Says ‘connected to an idle instance’.
    I call start up to init file. I am given following information;
    ORACLE instance started.

    Variable Size 109051904 bytes

    Redo Buffers 667648 bytes
    I then call the SQL script containing the following;
    CREATE DATABASE Customers

    CONTROL FILE REUSE
    LOGFILE GROUP 1 ('F:\oracle\oradata\Customers\redo01.log') SIZE 100M REUSE,

    Error says:
    CONTROL FILE REUSE
    ERROR at line 4:

    Also in the alert log more information has been added with the last appending being;
    starting up 1 shared server(s) ...
    starting up 1 dispatcher(s) for network address '(ADDRESS=(PARTIAL=YES)(PROTOCOL=TCP))'...
    Oracle Data Guard is not available in this edition of Oracle.
    I remove the line CONTROL FILE REUSE from script and run again, then receive this message;
    CREATE DATABASE Customers
    ERROR at line 1:
    ORA-01092: ORACLE instance terminated. Disconnection forced
    Also, now after all these attempts I tried making a new database again using DB Configuration Assistant and it now asks me to specify a template of type data_warehousing when I clicked on General_purpose. It states template file specified does not exist, supplying the following information;
    {ORACLE_HOME}\assistants\dbca\templates\Data_Warehouse.dfj
    Thanks to all for input on this but I am running out of time and have to move on to next part of project.

  • Processing Schema Validation error in BPM?

    Hi all,
    We have a file to IDOC scenario where if the schema validation fails on the file adapter sender agreement, we want to pull the filename and send it in an error email. So, we are talking about the adapter specific message attribute "Filename".
    unfortunately, this does not seem to be available as a container element for alert catagories in ALRTCATDEF. So, we are starting to look into using BPM to send a email via the email adapter. However, since the validation happens prior to BPM being called I am at a bit of a loss. Any ideas on how to get the email with the filename out to the suport group would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Chris

  • How to create a generic error handling proxy?

    Hello,
    i have few services proxies.
    I want to create a generic error handling osb proxy which does only errorhandling.
    This proxy would be called by all my services.Now suppose my services proxies would throw any error,the control will pass to error handling block of proxy..from there i will call this generic errorhandling proxyusing a service callout or publish action.In this proxy i want to do all my error handling based on 'n' conditions.and i want to pass the message to the fault variable of services proxy..kindly suggest ways..*main challenge is passing the message to the fault variable of services proxy*

    Hi,
    For generic error handling framework or common error handling framework...create a bpel process which takes the error details payload and sends the inf/data as email to the particular receipients.
    create business process with bpel process and proxy using business service.so wen ever error occurs at stage or route or proxy level ..call error handler action in OSB.Assign error handler details to the bpel input payload.
    FOR EX:
    <soap-env:Body xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">
    <com:test>
    <com:ProcessInfo>testDetails</com:ProcessInfo>
    <com:BusinessProcessName>testprocess</com:BusinessProcessName>
    <com:BusinessProcessInstanceId>{fn-bea:uuid()}</com:BusinessProcessInstanceId>
    <com:BusinessProcessStep>ReqLayer</com:BusinessProcessStep>
    <com:ErrorCode>{string($fault/ctx:errorCode)}</com:ErrorCode>
    <com:ErrorType>Technical</com:ErrorType>
    <com:StatusCode>Error</com:StatusCode>
    <com:ImplementationCode>OSB</com:ImplementationCode>
    <com:ErrorDescription>{string($fault/ctx:reason)}</com:ErrorDescription>
    <com:ErrorDateTime>{fn:current-dateTime()}</com:ErrorDateTime>
    <com:Node>{string($fault/ctx:location/ctx:node)}</com:Node>
    <com:Path>{string($fault/ctx:location/ctx:path)}</com:Path>
    </com:test>
    </soap-env:Body>
    this assign the error details values to the bpel process.

    In the second load_file procedure you should probably change the update command
    -- UPDATE THE BLOB FIELD
    UPDATE PDM
    SET FNAME = SRC_FILE,
    IBLOB = DST_FILE;into this
    -- UPDATE THE BLOB FIELD
    UPDATE PDM
    SET IBLOB = DST_FILE
    WHERE  FNAME = '262-2827.pdf';but I'm not sure how to explain the eof error message. Usually this happens when you forget an "END;" or "END LOOP;" command.
    Ok I rechecked and the declaration of the second procedure seems wrong
    -- CREATE THE PROCEDURE TO LOAD THE FILE
    CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE LOAD_FILE AS (
    SRC_FILE BFILE := BFILENAME('PDF_DIR', '262-2827.pdf');
    DST_FILE BLOB;
    BEGINshould be rewritten as
    -- CREATE THE PROCEDURE TO LOAD THE FILE
    CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE LOAD_FILE
      AS
      SRC_FILE BFILE := BFILENAME('PDF_DIR', '262-2827.pdf');
      DST_FILE BLOB;
    BEGIN
    ...I removed one parenthesis which was not closed.
    And for the image_import procedure there is a semikolon missing after the final END.
    END*;*

  • Schema validation errors in Portal 10.3

    I downloaded, installed and configured a domain with an AdminServer and a ManagedServer for WebLogic Portal 10.3. When I start the AdminServer from NodeManager the following errors are reported:

    When I start the AdminServer using startWebLogic.sh there are no errors. Please advise.

    I have been at this for less than a month, so I may need a little more help. So are you saying that the product as installed has been reorganized and that all of the installed pieces may not reflect all of the changes?
